Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kondisi temperatur slow pyrolysis yang sesuai dari sampah kota terseleksi (segregated municipal solid wastes) guna menghasilkan bahan bakar padat alternatif (Refused Derived Fuel) secara berkesinambungan dengan menggunakan screw pyrolyser.Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka dilakukan rekaya peralatan proses slow pyrolisis secara berkesinambungan dalam skala laboratorium dengan menggunakan  screw pyrolyser yang tepat agar menghasilkan Refused Derived Fuel yang memiliki karakteristik produk minimal sama dengan hasil studi sebelumnya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan 5 variasi temperatur reaktor yaitu 3000C, 3500C, 4000C ,  4500C  dan 5000C ..Dengan menggunakan prototipe pyrolyser ulir dengan kemampuan proses 6 kg/jam, dengan produk char yang dihasilkan terbaik didapatkan pada komposisi 70 % sampah organik yang dipirolisa pada temperatur pyrolyser 450°C. Char yang dihasilkan mengandung kadar air 1,77 %, kadar abu 9,66 %, volatile matter 66,387 % dan karbon tetap 22,17% serta memiliki nilai kalor 6,86 kkal/gram. Efisiensi proses yang didapatkan berkisar 95,3%.

Abstract

The purpose of the research: to develop a racing wheelchair for wheelchair racing activities for children with disabilities based on local anthropometry and ergonomics. This research is an RnD research, namely the development of media or sports equipment for children with physical disabilities. The research method used is the ADDIE method. The subjects of this study were two children with physical disabilities in SLB YPAC Surakarta. Data collection is obtained from library books, then looking for supporting paper data. After that, the data collected is analyzed, designing the development of a racing wheelchair, implementing and evaluating so that a conclusion can be drawn. Secondary data were obtained from literature books that underlie special education technology for children. Primary data is obtained from papers or journals on official websites on the internet. The data that has been collected is compiled and then analyzed, to obtain an appropriate conclusion. The results showed that children with physical disabilities need a racing wheelchair by the specifications of their needs, with high quality and affordable prices. Expert validators, practitioners, and users respond positively to the model developed through aspects of attractiveness, motivation, and convenience. The racing wheelchair design that has been developed is effective as a sporting tool for racing wheelchairs based on ergonomics and anthropometry through aspects of media convenience, display of media results and technical quality, the effectiveness of sports equipment. Conclusion: Children with physical impairment in doing sports activities need anthropometric and ergonomic local-based racing wheelchair technology.

Abstract

Limbah pertanian (sekam padi, jerami padi, tongkol jagung, kulit singkong, rumput, dll) diproduksi dalam jumlah besar di Indonesia. Limbah pertanian dapat diubah menjadi bentuk energi melalui proses konversi termo mekanik. Proses pembuatan briket adalah pengubahan limbah pertanian menjadi briket berbentuk seragam yang mudah digunakan, diangkut, dan disimpan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan suhu dan kecepatan poros ekstruder ulir die berpemanas untuk pembriketan limbah pertanian. Sampel briket dibriket pada suhu 200, 300, 400o C dan kecepatan poros 30, 50, 100 rpm. Uji impak dilakukan untuk mendapatkan temperatur dan kecepatan poros yang sesuai untuk pembuatan briket limbah pertanian. Uji impak dilakukan dengan menjatuhkan sampel briket dari ketinggian 2 m ke lantai beton. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa temperatur briket dan kecepatan poros yang baik adalah 300o C dan 50 rpm.The impact test of heated die screw extruder on agricultural waste briquettingAgricultural wastes (rice husk, rice straw, corncob, cassava peel, grass, etc.) are produced in considerable quantities in Indonesia. Agricultural waste can be converted to a form of energy through the thermomechanical conversion process. The briquetting process is converting agricultural waste into uniformly shaped briquettes that are easy to use, transport and store. The present study aims to determine the temperature and the shaft speed of heated die screw extruder for briquetting agricultural wastes. Briquette samples were briquetted at the temperature of 200 o, 300 o, 400o C and shaft speeds of 30, 50, and 100 rpm. An impact test was conducted to obtain the temperature and shaft speed suitable for briquetting of agricultural wastes. The impact test was carried out by dropping a briquette sample from 2 m onto a concrete floor. The test results show an excellent briquetting temperature and shaft speeds are 300o C and 50 rpm.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy is increasing every year. The present electrical energy remains largely dependent on fossil energy and can not be renewed. Indonesia is one of the countries rich in renewable energy potential. The abundant energy in Indonesia is water energy as a mini / microhydro scale generator. The development of hydro power is to utilize the potential energy flow of water that has certain head and debit. Then the potential energy is converted by turbine and generator into electrical energy. The purpose of this paper is to conduct a theoretical study to design the optimal angle of archimedes screw with a relatively easy design method. Based on the results obtained geometry and arch angle archimedes screw design with 0.050 m external diameter, 0.030 m internal diameter 0.055 m and slope  angle (α) 450 generates shaft power of 5.11 Watt at 50 rpm rotation capable of producing efficiency 89% with head 1 m and debit 0.5 m / s.

Abstract

In recent years, turbine use or pump operation as a turbine (PAT) has become an ongoing alternative to managing Water Distribution Networks (WDNs) in microhydro power generation units. Commercial pumps available on the market have a variety of shapes and models. Generally, pump manufacturers do not provide their pump characteristics curves that work as turbines. This paper presents a theoretical study on the efficiency of pump operation used as turbine (Pump as Turbine). Based on the results of the study, PAT efficiency increases with the specific speed (Nsp) and with special impeller will increase efficiency by 93% 8.07% and 5.45% and efficiency also increased by modifying the thickness of the pump blade.

Abstract

This research aims to identify condition of inclusive school in Solo especially for handicapped children. This is a qualitative research. Focuses of this research are first, the accessibility of inclusive school and second, identifying ideal inclusive school for handicapped children. it is located in two schools namely at Al Firdaus High School of Sukoharjo and Brumantakan Elementary School Solo. Method to collect data is observation, interview, and documentation. Conclusion drawn from this research is accessibility of inclusive school for handicapped children is not fulfilled completely. There is still barrier in completing condition of good and proper accessibility in inclusive school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the availability and accessibility level of parking facility and lift for difable in Surakarta, especially in the shopping centre. The objects of this study was five shopping centres in Surakarta. The research method that used is evaluation approaches, that assess the extent of an object has been achieved in accordance with the standards of Regulation of the Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia Number 30 Year 2006 on Technical Guidelines amenities and accessibility In the Building and Environment. Data were analyzed using statistical descriptions by comparing field data with the standard provisions. The results showed that there is no accessible parking lot for difable and on average, as many as 54, 2% lift is accessible and one shopping centre has reached the 73% accesibility lever for the lift. The shopping centre is the right to acquire accessibility in public spaces for difable, it needs to be upgraded and the addition other facilities.

Abstract

Technical and vocational education (TVE) in a country cannot only talk about a narrow scope in the world of education and work but also play a role in ensuring someone achieves a prosperous life socially, economically and environmentally without forgetting preparation for the next generation. This research will visualize and map the development trend of publications on sustainable development in the TVE scope worldwide and in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive quantitative and bibliometric analysis with research data taken from the Scopus database. The results of the study show that increasing research is essential for the development and efforts of the TVE community to increase the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs). Indonesia is recorded as having only started publication in 2017, with a total publication of 42 documents until early 2024. Interestingly, there has been a decline in the number of publications in the last two years. The results of the bibliometric analysis show that research topics in Indonesia have not yet demonstrated success in linking them to the social, economic and environmental spheres. Further research is recommended to conduct a systematic literature review to identify global action program (GAPs) in sustainable development research in TVE communities.
