Abstract

Technology and education are now required for the development of 21st century skills. The purpose of this study was to determine 1) the practicality of STEAM-based e-Modules in online learning, 2) the importance of STEAM-based e-Modules in online learning, and 3) the improvement of students' creative thinking skills in fifth grade on the content "My Blood Circulation is Healthy." A total of 16 students were employed in the study. Questionnaires and tests were utilized as data gathering instruments. Problem and need analysis, literature review, product design, validation, and practitioner testing were the stages of development. The findings revealed that pupils' low creative thinking abilities were attributed to teachers' failure to adequately embrace technology and their continued usage of traditional instructional materials. The STEAM-based e-Module development improved creative thinking skills of Grade 5 students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop simple light diffraction teaching aids that can be used in learning light diffraction material in schools, as well as to train students' science process skills. This study uses the type of research Design Development and Research (DDR) which is divided into four stages of research, namely analysis, design, development, and evaluation. Before being used in the field, these props were first tested for feasibility. The feasibility test of this light diffraction teaching aid was carried out by conducting a validity test, practicality test, and instrument effectiveness test. In the test results of the validity of teaching aids obtained a percentage of 93% with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test obtained a percentage value of 89% with a very practical category. The results of the test of the effectiveness of teaching aids are represented by the student response test, and the teacher's perception test. In the student response test, a percentage of 86% was obtained in the very effective category, while the teacher perception test obtained a percentage of 84% in the very effective category. Based on the three feasibility tests that have been carried out, it can be concluded that this teaching aid is very suitable to be used in learning diffraction material in schools, and can train students' science process skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of the e-worksheet based on the Expression Learning model to construct students' computational skills in direct current electric circuit material. This research was development research using Design, Development, and Research (DDR) which consisted of the analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages and used the mixed method to analyze the data. The instrument used to determine the validity of the developed e-worksheet product was an e-worksheet validation sheet. The e-worksheet validation sheet consisted of product and constructs design validity sheets which were validated by five experts who judged that the developed e-worksheet is very valid, with an average score for the construct validation test of 91.5% and an average score for design test validation of 89%. The research findings showed that ExPRession learning model-based e-worksheet assisted with Heyzine to construct computational thinking skill in direct current electric circuits material is very valid. This study provides evidence that applying the ExPRession learning model to the e-worksheet can construct students' computational thinking skills as one of the skills needed in the 21st century by teaching students the use of Microsoft Excel.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a computer-based test instrument using the valid Wondershare Quiz Creator (WQC) to measure HOTS in temperature and heat material. This study uses research and development research methods and the research design used refers to the research design by Borg & Gall. Data analysis was performed by means of internal validation tests by a team of experts. This test instrument has been tested by experts consisting of the material validation test with a score of 3.10 (valid), construction with a score of 2.88 (valid), and language with a score of 3.63 (very valid). The CBT setting on this product is also very valid with an average score of 3.68. The sig value of the difference in the level of validity and complexity in the types of multiple choice, multiple response, matching, and sequence items obtained was> 0.05, which indicates that there was no difference in the average validity and complexity between the four types of questions at each cognitive level. Keywords: Test instruments, Wondershare Quiz Creator (WQC), HOTS.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v22i1.pp45-51

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic forces the learning process to be carried out in a blended learning manner that combines face-to-face and synchronous learning. This study aims to share the implementation of experiments that we have carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially on optics material for high schools involving prospective physics teacher students. This study uses a descriptive research method with the research subject being Physics Education students, FKIP University of Lampung, with a sample of 2017 Physics Education students who are taking Optics lectures. The results of this study are in the form of optical learning media that have been designed by students while attending lectures with distinctive characteristics made from low cost material and using simple technologies. This study proves that physics experiments can be carried out by utilizing learning media in the form of low-cost material teaching aids. In addition, physics experiments can be carried out directly without a complicated preparation. Learning activities that utilize this kind of teaching aids will certainly train students' science process skills, procedural knowledge and conceptual knowledge that is improved through hands-on activities and mind-on activities during the learning process. Keywords: blended learning, teaching aids, science process skills, hands-on activity, mind-on activity DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i2.pp437-447
