Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan perawatan sekoci di kapal MV. Sakti dan mengevaluasi kesesuaiannya dengan prosedur yang tercantum dalam International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate user acceptance of the Tokopedia e-commerce platform in Indonesia by applying the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 3 (UTAUT3) framework combined with the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) analysis implemented in RStudio. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed through social networks, generating responses from 200 Indonesian users. Each UTAUT3 construct (Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, Habit, and Personal Innovativeness) was measured using a five-point Likert scale. The TOPSIS method was then applied to determine the ranking and relative importance of each construct in shaping user acceptance. The results indicate that Effort Expectancy (EE) and Personal Innovativeness (PI) are the most influential factors, reflecting users' appreciation of Tokopedia's ease of use and their openness to adopting the digital platform. Conversely, Habit (HB) showed the lowest score, indicating that routine use is still limited among some users. These findings provide valuable insights for Tokopedia and other digital commerce platforms to improve user engagement and service optimization in Indonesia's rapidly growing online market. The findings of this study suggest that platform development should focus more on promotional programs to improve user habits in using Tokopedia as a primary e-commerce platform.

Abstract

Butterfly pea flower (Clitoria ternatea) is a herbal plant containing various bioactive compounds, including anthocyanins and flavonoids, which have potential applications in functional food products. This study examined the effect of different proportions of butterfly pea flower in herbal teabag formulations on physicochemical properties, specifically moisture content and ash content, as well as sensory acceptance in terms of color, aroma, and taste. The experiment was arranged using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single factor, namely the proportion of butterfly pea flower at five levels (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%), each conducted in triplicate. The collected data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by a post hoc comparison test at a 95% confidence level. The results indicated that increasing the proportion of butterfly pea flower significantly affected the moisture content of the product (p < 0.05), with values ranging from 12.39% to 14.83%. In contrast, ash content was not significantly influenced by the treatments (p > 0.05), with values ranging from 4.21% to 4.47%, all of which met the requirements of SNI 3836:2013. Sensory evaluation revealed no significant differences among treatments in terms of color, aroma, and taste, with relatively similar hedonic scores across all samples. Overall, the formulation containing 75% butterfly pea flower was considered the most optimal, as it resulted in the lowest moisture content, stable ash content, and higher color acceptance compared to other treatments.

Abstract

Sea Wave. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk menggambarkan kondisi aktual penggunaan PPE, pelaksanaan safety meeting, safety drill, dan pengawasan terhadap kepatuhan awak kapal. Abstract

Solenoid hoses are critical components in the hydraulic and pneumatic systems of bulk cement carriers, as they channel fluid pressure to actuators and valves during the unloading process. On the KM. Tonasa Line XIX, solenoid hoses frequently rupture during unloading, disrupting the smooth flow of operations. This study aims to identify the causes of solenoid hose ruptures and propose preventive measures. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method using a case study approach. Data were collected through observations during sea trials, interviews with the chief officer and crew members, documentation, and a literature review. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that solenoid hose failure is caused by a combination of system pressure exceeding safe operational limits due to the non-gradual opening of valves, degradation of hose material that has exceeded its service life, and the suboptimal implementation of preventive maintenance. Additionally, a lack of monitoring of pressure indicators during the loading and unloading process further increases the risk of failure. Recommended preventive measures include routine inspections using checklists, periodic hose replacement based on service life, gradual valve operation, and the installation of pressure relief valves to maintain stable system pressure. Implementing these measures can improve the reliability of the loading and unloading system, reduce the potential for damage, and support vessel safety and operational efficiency.

Abstract

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is one of the essential components in implementing occupational safety on board ships. However, the availability of PPE does not always guarantee that it will be used properly by crew members. This study aims to analyze the role of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), particularly safety harnesses, in improving the safety of crew members on board MV. HL Esperance and to identify the factors influencing its implementation. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through direct observation during the sea practice program (PRALA), in-depth interviews with the Chief Officer as the primary informant and the Bosun as the supporting informant, as well as documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that PPE, particularly safety harnesses, plays a crucial role in minimizing the risk of occupational accidents during work at height and other high-risk operations. However, the implementation of PPE has not yet been optimal due to several factors, including low safety awareness, lack of work discipline, the perception that routine tasks are relatively safe, comfort-related issues, changing working conditions, and inconsistent supervision. Therefore, strengthening supervision, improving safety awareness, and fostering a strong safety culture are essential to optimize PPE implementation and minimize the risk of occupational accidents on board ships.

Abstract

Writing descriptive texts remains a challenge for many students learning English as a Foreign Language due to limited vocabulary, inadequate grammatical competence, and difficulties in organizing ideas. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Wordwall-based learning activities in improving the descriptive writing skills of seventh-grade students at UPT SMPN 9 Gresik. The study employed Classroom Action Research involving ten seventh-grade students and was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through descriptive writing tests and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings showed a steady improvement in students’ writing performance. The mean score increased from 68.5 in the preliminary study to 74.0 in Cycle I and 82.5 in Cycle II. The percentage of students achieving the Minimum Mastery Criterion also improved from 30% to 60% and reached 80% by the end of cycle II. These findings indicate that Wordwall-based learning activities effectively improve students’ descriptive writing skills by enhancing vocabulary use, sentence construction, and idea organization.
