The aims of this research was to know difference increasing especially ability in Plan and Do between lesson study-based learning and not(conventional) learning. Furthermore, the second aim was to know the effect of lesson study toward increasing of pedagogy competency and impact of prospective teachers in teaching. The methodology of this research was using descriptive qualitative with amount of prospective teachers is 13, then the prospective teachers conducted Plan and Do respectively 3 times meeting using lesson study and conventional. The results showed that the effect was very positive where the learning process of Plan and Do using lesson study was better than conventional learning. Besides that, based on the observation and valuation showed that lesson study-based learning was better than conventional learning. The effect could also influence for students and prospective teacher positively. Kata Kunci: Lesson Study, Kompetensi Pedagogik, Calon Guru.

The objective of this study was to know the effectiveness of teaching materials solids with flat side which was developed using the 5E instructional model against the activities and learning outcomes in eighth grade students in Junior High School State 2 Batanghari. In this study using the methodology of development research with formative type according to Tessmer (1993), namely the development of teaching materials of solids with flat side. Research procedure using 4 stages namely self evaluation, expert review and one-to-one, small group, and field tests. The results showed that the teaching material included in the category of valid and good for use. Then the average of class activity from the observation obtained a score of 10.3, itâs means that the category scores included into the active category, and then the average of learning outcomes was 71.38 where the scores included into the good category .

The objectives of this research are to know the practicality and the effectiveness of the development of teaching material and ICT-based media toward learning outcome on material of quadratic equations and function. Research subjects are mathematics education students of FKIP Muhammadiyah University of Metro. Experimental design uses a before-after or one group pretest-posttest technique. The technique of collecting data uses the questionnaires and tests. Data analysis uses paired sample t-test. The results obtained by the value of sig. = 0.000 where the value of α = 0.05 and the value of t = 6807> ttable = 2,015, so it can be concluded that the value of the pre-test and post-test was very significantly different. The marginal average was known that post-test value was greater than that of the pre-test, so it can be concluded that there was a significant effect of teaching materials and ICT-based media toward learning outcomes. In other words, the teaching materials and ICT-based media are very effective for teaching and learning. Keywords: teaching material and media, ICT, quadratic equations and function.

One of useful graph theory to solve the real problems is Minimum Spanning Tree (MST). MST is network optimization problems that can be applied in many fields such as transportations problems and communication network design (Gruber and Raidl, 2005). MST begins from tree namely a connected graph has no circuits. From the graph, there is a sub-graph that has all the vertex or spanning tree. If that graph has the weight/cost, then the spanning tree that has the smallest weight/cost is called Minimum Spanning Tree. Basic algorithm used to determine the MST is Kruskalâs algorithm. This algorithm is known as one of the best algorithms for the optimization problems, especially for MST. In this paper is developed a source code program to determine MST using Kruskalâs algorithm and then implemented on several data representing a complete graph.

The objective of this research and development is to develop teaching materials of mathematics on social arithmetic based on Islamic values that are feasible, practical, and effective. This research type is Research and Development (R&D). The model used in this research is consisting of 10 stages. The instruments of data collection used the questionnaires and evaluation questions. The questionnaires are consisting of design, material, and Islamic content. The result of the research is the average of validation percentage is 82,3%, so the teaching material is categorized as feasible. Based on the validation process showed that the teaching material that developed is included the feasible category, with an average percentage are 82.3%. While the results of small group trial showed that the responses of students in the pilot phase of small groups from 16 students are obtained  87.5%, and the result from the test is obtained the average more than 75% of the students who score more than the standard of 75.00. From the results of this research can be concluded that the teaching material of social arithmetic is feasible, practical, and effective.

The purpose of developing Islamic value-based mathematics teaching materials is to produce teaching materials on Islamic value-based opportunity materials by using a valid and practical flipbook maker. This type of research is development refers to the development model in Sugiyono's opinion through 7 stages, potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trial, and product revision. Based on the development of teaching materials research using this flipbook maker, the level of validity and practicality by conducting expert tests (material experts, design experts, Islamic value experts), responses from students. Material expert test obtained a percentage of 84% so that it was declared very feasible, the design expert test was obtained from 78% so that it was declared feasible, then the test of Islamic values experts obtained a percentage of 92% so it was declared very feasible. In the small group trial the percentage of 89% was obtained so that the media learning could be declared very practical. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning media produced is very feasible, while the response of students to learning media is very practical. Mathematics teaching materials using flipbook makers are available to teach independent teaching materials and shape good characters and morals with the Islamic values listed as taught.
