Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan self esteem siswa kelas X IPS 2 SMA N 1 Bantul terhadap matematika melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dengan pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas X IPS 2 SMA N 1 Bantul. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, angket, dan tes tertulis. Penelitian tindakan ini telah mencapai kriteria keberhasilan setelah dilakukan dua kali siklus, sehingga siklus diberhentikan sampai pada siklus kedua. Self esteem siswa kelas X IPS 2 SMA N 1 Bantul terhadap matematika mengalami peningkatan melalui penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual dengan pendekatan saintifik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan persentase self esteem terhadap matematika dengan kategori rendah dari pra tindakan sebesar 12,50 % sedangkan siklus 1 dan siklus 2 sebesar 0%. Selanjutnya, terjadi penurunan persentase self esteem dengan kategori sedang dari pra tindakan sebesar 71,88% menjadi 66% pada siklus 1 dan di siklus 2 sebesar 56,25%. Terdapat pula peningkatan persentase self esteem dari kategori tinggi yang pada pra tindakan sebesar 15,63%, siklus 1 sebesar 34%, dan di siklus 2 sebesar 43,75%. Rata-rata self esteem terhadap matematika siswa secara klasikal juga mengalami peningkatan dari pra tindakan sebesar 98,81 dengan kategori sedang, siklus 1 sebesar 104,53 dengan kategori sedang, dan siklus 2 sebesar 105,65 dengan kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring sebagai upaya mencegah penularan virus Covid-19 mendapat banyak keluhan baik dari siswa maupun orang tua. Beberapa orang tua sebagai pihak pertama yang berhadapan dengan siswa merasa jika dengan adanya pembelajaran daring anak merasa tidak sedang belajar, karena di rumah anak lebih tertarik untuk bermain. Sementara itu, orang tua mengalami kesulitan dalam membersamai anaknya selama pembelajaran jarak jauh. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan dapat menyampaikan secara rinci kesulitan yang dialami orang tua dalam membersamai siswa melaksanakan pembelajaran daring agar dapat memberikan solusi bagi perbaikan untuk kegiatan pembelajaran kedepannya. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua yang bekerja dengan siswa yang bersekolah di sekolah menengah pertama (SMP). Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitiatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Dari data yang diperoleh, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa terdapat problematika orang tua dalam membersamai siswa belajar secara daring, seperti kurangnya pembagian waktu keluarga dan waktu kerja, kurangnya hubungan emosi orang tua dan anak, dan orang tua yang kurang memahami materi pada tingkatan anaknya.

Abstract

Literasi digital menjadi kebutuhan utama di abad ke-21. Seluruh anggota masyarakat membutuhkan literasi digital yang baik, utamanya guru. Dengan memiliki literasi digital yang baik guru diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak signifikan dalam penguatan dan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Program pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri Teganing, Kulon Progo. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan secara daring melalui zoom meeting dengan melibatkan subjek sebanyak 11 guru. Materi yang diberikan dalam pelatihan ini yaitu: 1) Urgensi literasi digital di sekolah dasar; 2) Pencarian dan pengelolaan sumber belajar di internet; 3) Media pembelajaran menggunakan media sosial; dan 4) pelanggaran hak intelektual. Metode kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dalam pelatihan adalah ceramah, diskusi, dan workshop. Pelaksanaan pelatihan literasi digital bagi guru ini dapat disimpulkan berhasil, ditunjukkan dengan respon positif dari peserta dan peningkatan pemahaman literasi digital yang dimiliki peserta pelatihan. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat dilaksanakan berkelanjutan termasuk untuk orang tua dan siswa sekolah dasar, sehingga mereka memiliki kesadaran akan pentingnya literasi digital.

Abstract

Inclusive education is the implementation of equality in education. To support the implementation of inclusive education, the Mathematics Education Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga makes inclusive one of its core values. This is a discrepancy model evaluation developed by Provus. Data was carried out through questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and observation. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the implementation of inclusive education is in the moderate category. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire which shows the percentage reaching an average of 68.77%. In detail, the results for each indicator are 1) Vision, mission, goals, and strategy standards reached the very good category; 2) Graduate competency standards reached the moderate category; 3) Learning process standards reached the moderate category; 4) Learning assessment standards reached the moderate category; 5) Student Standards reached the moderate category; 6) Standards for lecturers and education personnel reached the moderate category; 7) Learning infrastructure standards reach the moderate category; 8) Learning financing standards reach the moderate category; and 9) Learning management standards reach the moderate category. Based on the existing findings, some of the main recommendations for the implementation of inclusive education in the Mathematics Education Study Program are to develop individualized learning programs that appropriate the needs of students with special needs, training for lecturers and student volunteers for the implementation of learning in inclusive classes, and the appointment of a coordinator in the implementation of inclusive education in the mathematics education study program.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2020, JPPM mengajukan akreditasi dan memperoleh akreditasi Sinta 3. Setelah jurnal terakreditasi nasional, langkah selanjutnya adalah menjadi jurnal bereputasi internasional. Untuk memperoleh predikat jurnal terakreditasi dan bereputasi internasional, diperlukan beberapa strategi yang tepat dan inovatif dari pengelola jurnal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) kondisi dan permasalahan Jurnal Pengembangan Pembelajaran Matematika (JPPM) dan 2) strategi peningkatan kualitas jurnal menuju jurnal bereputasi internasional. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kepustakaan dengan cara menganalisis dokumen tertulis dan tidak tertulis. Studi literatur ini dilakukan dengan cara studi lapangan yaitu dengan mengikuti workshop pengelolaan jurnal. Terdapat 3 tahapan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 1) analisis kondisi jurnal, 2) pelatihan tata kelola jurnal, dan 3) evaluasi jurnal. Data disajikan dalam bentuk deskripsi dengan menganalisis penelitian terdahulu, teori, dan ulasan pengelolaan dan penerbitan jurnal elektronik yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari tiga langkah yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil akreditasi dan analisis kondisi jurnal yang dilakukan oleh pengelola jurnal berdasarkan masukan asesor pada saat akreditasi dan berdasarkan workshop pengelolaan jurnal, terdapat beberapa permasalahan dalam pengelolaan JPPM, yaitu 1) Penamaan Jurnal Ilmiah, 2) Lembaga Penerbit, 3) Penyuntingan dan Pengelolaan Jurnal, 4) Tampilan website dan artikel, 5) Periodisitas, 6) Penyebaran, 7) Substansi Artikel, dan 8) Gaya Penulisan. JPPM selalu berupaya meningkatkan kualitas dengan berbagai strategi, yaitu 1) menambah informasi kebijakan penerbitan jurnal di situs jurnal, 2) meningkatkan kualitas artikel, 3) pengelola jurnal harus fokus pada kualitas artikel, 4) menyelenggarakan call for paper, call for editor , dan memanggil reviewer secara konsisten dan berkesinambungan, 5) mengundang penulis artikel berkualifikasi internasional, 6) mengindeks jurnal untuk mengindeks database yang bereputasi nasional dan internasional, dan 7) menjalin kerja sama dengan asosiasi profesi di bidang pendidikan matematika. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, pengelola Jurnal perlu memperhatikan ketentuan akreditasi internasional agar publikasinya dapat menyandang predikat jurnal bereputasi nasional dan internasional. Selain itu, pengelola jurnal perlu melakukan berbagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas jurnal agar bisa sejajar dengan jurnal lain yang bereputasi nasional dan internasional.

Abstract

Learning mathematics in inclusive classes has its own challenges. This is due to the heterogeneity of student characteristics in the class. Therefore, special knowledge is needed that prospective teacher students must have to deal with inclusion classes, so this research aims to analyze students' readiness to teach in inclusion classes. Qualitative descriptive research was used to describe the results of interviews regarding the readiness of 16 mathematics education students at one of the state Islamic universities in Indonesia. The results of the research show that students in semesters 5 and 7 have good understanding and show readiness to teach in inclusive classes, while students in semesters 1 and 3 also have good readiness to teach in inclusive classes, but they still need prior training in inclusive education courses before being placed in inclusion classes because understanding about children with special needs is still limited. This research has an impact on increasing the skills and empathy of prospective teachers, access and achievement of students with special needs, the quality and readiness of educational institutions, inclusive education policies, as well as public awareness of the importance of inclusion and social acceptance.

Abstract

Geblek is one of Kulon Progo's specialty foods made from cassava flour with a shape resembling a figure eight. Geblek is the main pattern used in the batik typical of Kulon Progo. The batik motif uses repetitive and symmetrical patterns. The application of mathematics, especially cryptography, can be used to find repetitive patterns that can inspire batik motifs. This research aims to describe how a basic geblek pattern from Kulon Progo can be transformed into various other patterns using the concept of plane crystallography. The geblek pattern is applied to 17 crystallographic groups, resulting in 17 batik motifs. The use of Graphical User Interface (GUI) in MATLAB will make it easier to form batik motifs. Based on the exploration results, 17 patterns were derived from the basic pattern of Kuln Progo geblek. Uniquely, from these 17 patterns, there are the same and similar patterns. In other words, the patterns found from the basic geblek pattern do not reach 17 patterns. The development pattern of Kulon Progo geblek is further described in this article.

Abstract

This study describe teachers and students with deafblindness perceive the difficulties of learningmathematics in the inclusive classroom. The purpose of this study was to find the problems facedby both of them when learning mathematics in the inclusive classroom. This study used adescriptive qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews, anddocumentation. Two deaf students and two maths teachers who teach in the inclusive class wereinvolved in this study. The results of the study, it can be concluded that in the learning process inthe inclusion class there are obstacles that come from internal factors, in the implementation oflearning, and social factors. The lack of encouragement and interest of deaf students to learnmathematics is the main obstacle for students and teachers. Meanwhile, some of the challengesfaced by students include the teacher's difficulty in choosing various learning approaches,processing materials for deaf students, each of whom has a different level of ability, the lack ofavailability of learning media and facilities provided by the school, and the lack of specialassistant teachers at school.Keywords: Learning Disabilities, Math, Inclusive Class, Deaf Student, Teacher

Abstract

Students with good emotional Intelligence have adaptability and can develop social relationships with teachers and other students more easily. It is predicted to have an impact on student academic achievement. The study aims to determine whether there is a positive influence of emotional Intelligence on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at one of MAN in Yogyakarta on geometric lines and series. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. This research was conducted at one of MAN in Yogyakarta. The population in this study was class XI Agama 1 and XI Agama 2. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample of 42 students. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire of emotional Intelligence and a written test of learning outcomes, both of which had passed the content validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique in this study uses simple regression analysis that has gone through classical assumption tests such as the normality test, heteroscedasticity test, and linearity test, followed by hypothesis testing such as t-test, coefficient of determination, and model interpretation. Data analysis was carried out with the help of the SPSS 25 software application. The results of this study indicate a positive influence of Emotional Intelligence on students' mathematics learning outcomes, with the magnitude of emotional Intelligence on learning outcomes of 12.8%, while other factors outside of this research influence the remaining 87.8%.

Abstract

After the Covid-19 pandemic, the impact of life on the economic, social, health, and education sectors is still being felt. One of the changes in education is the increasing number of technology-based learning. This research aims to find out students' perspectives on online learning, the technology used by teachers in learning, and online learning strategies based on students' perspectives. Researchers use phenomenological research. Researchers began collecting data using a questionnaire followed by semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was carried out using the Bogdan & Biklen approach including data reduction, categorization of data into sub-themes and themes, deduce. The research shows that students have difficulty understanding mathematics when learning online. The use of technology that is not optimal causes impacts. Teachers do not take advantage of virtual meetings which can be a medium for meetings between students and teachers, so that both can build communication and closeness between teachers and students which will help students understand mathematics material.
