Abstract

The aims for producing comics in newspaper is to convey a message instead of just an entertainment for the newspaper readers. It also can be a documentation materials for historical records and civilization history through the situation at that time. These visual images are used by Mohd Yaman Ahmad Mus to display the true story about the behavior, attitudes and moral values that apply in everyday life through his creativity and self-expression. This aims to teach and create awareness among public besides of building a harmony and well-being of the community. The display image was analyzed using a theoretical approach of iconography by Erwin Panofsky (1955). This theory was classified into three levels, which is pre-iconographic, iconography and iconological (iconology interpretation) to explain and demystify the nature and meaning of painting in a holistic manner. The study showed that the content of messages and lessons in painting shows road safety issues which are still happen since the pre-independence era in Sabah until now.

Abstract

Effervescent dosage form is another way to develop attractive soft drink products and provide variety in presentation because apart from being practical, it can also give a sparkle effect or a soda-like taste and can also cover some unwanted flavors of certain ingredients. The benefits of Jamu Turmeric Tamarind have been proven empirically. Jamu Turmeric is efficacious as an antibiotic, preventing sprue, analgesic (relieves pain), antipyretic (lowers body temperature during fever), and anti-inflammatory. The purpose of this research was to formulate and evaluate the physical properties of effervescent granules from turmeric (Curcumae domestica) and tamarind (Tamarindus indica). This type of research is an experimental study conducted to formulate turmeric (Curcumae domestica) and tamarind (Tamarindus indica) in the dosage form of effervescent granules in 2 formula forms with varying acid concentrations and then evaluate their physical properties. The evaluation of granules includes water content test, angle of repose test, flow rate test, compressive density test, dispersion time test and pH test. The results showed that turmeric (Curcumae domestica) and Tamarind (Tamarindus indica) could be formulated in effervescent granule dosage form. For the flow velocity test, it was found that the flow properties of the granules were low in the two formulations

Abstract

Di Indonesia sendiri media massa lebih banyak memberikan fungsi hiburan kepada publik. Salah satu media massa tersebut yaitu film, dalam artikel ini akan di analisis filem Imperfect, tujuan penelitian ini adalah agar dapat mengetahui makna kecantikan dan body shaming yang terdapat dalam film Imperfect: Karier, Cinta dan Timbangan Karya Ernest Prakasa, metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik analisi semiotika, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Karier, Cinta dan Timbangan mampu memberikan sebuah penjelasan tentang makna kecantikan dan body shaming itu sendiri. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, ditemukan tanda yang mengacuh pada makna cantik dan body shaming di kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya terhadap perempuan

Abstract

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematological malignancy commonly associated with bone pain, hypercalcemia, and renal failure. However, its presentation can occasionally mimic other medical conditions, which may delay diagnosis. This case report describes a patient who was initially diagnosed and treated for heart failure but was later found to have MM, highlighting the importance of considering MM in the differential diagnosis of heart failure. A 56-year-old lady presented with recurrent episodes of shortness of breath, orthopnea, paroxysmal nocturnal dypsnea and bilateral lower limb swelling which she had been treated for decompensated heart failure with optimal therapy. She denied any family history of cardiovascular disease personal history of underlying medical condition and was a nonsmoker. This patient was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and probability of concomitant cardiac amyloidosis and commenced on bortezomib, thalidomide and dexamethasone (VTD) regime and standard optimal therapy of heart failure but her condition deteriorated. After a few days of starting chemotherapy, patient demised despite all the resuscitative effort. Multiple myeloma is common hematological malignancy with its distinct clinical features of “CRAB”, however, more attention and alertness should also be exercised by clinicians as to be able to diagnose it early.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT-2) merupakan target potensial dalam pengobatan diabetes tipe 2, dengan inhibitor SGLT-2 yang bekerja menghambat reabsorpsi glukosa di ginjal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi potensi ircinianin, senyawa alami yang diisolasi dari spons Ircinia sp., sebagai inhibitor SGLT-2 menggunakan pendekatan molecular docking. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis interaksi antara ircinianin dan protein SGLT-2 serta mengevaluasi potensi penghambatan ircinianin terhadap reseptor SGLT-2. Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah molecular docking dengan perangkat lunak AutoDock4. Prosedur dilakukan dengan docking ligan pada situs aktif SGLT-2. Ligan didocking dengan 100 iterasi untuk memperoleh konformasi ikatan yang optimal. Interaksi dianalisis berdasarkan energi ikatan dan visualisasi dilakukan menggunakan Discovery Studio. Hasil: Ircinianin menunjukkan energi ikatan sebesar -10,76 kcal/mol, sedikit lebih tinggi dibandingkan native ligand (-11,46 kcal/mol). Ircinianin membentuk dua ikatan hidrogen dengan residu PHE:98 dan TRP:291. Kesimpulan dan Saran: Ircinianin memiliki potensi sebagai inhibitor SGLT-2, meskipun ikatan hidrogennya lebih sedikit dibandingkan ligan asli. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi terapeutik ircinianin dalam pengobatan diabetes tipe 2.

Abstract

Kampung susun merupakan transformasi dari kampung horizontal menjadi bentuk vertikal tanpa menghilangkan karakter lokal, kekayaan bentuk, warna, material, volume, garis langit (skyline, potensi ekonomi, kreativitas warga, dan lain sebagainya. Suatu kampung susun seharusnya dapat diakses dan digunakan oleh semua kelompok masyarakat, termasuk mereka yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan konsep arsitektur inklusif pada Perancangan Kampung Susun di Kota Makassar, dengan penekanan pada aksesibilitas, fleksibilitas, dan kesederhanaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dan studi preseden. terhadap kampung susun di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan arsitektur inklusif di kampung susun belum sepenuhnya menerapkan konsep inklusif. Kampung susun ini lebih fokus mengutamakan penerapan pada bangunan utama yaitu hunian, sedangkan untuk bangunan penunjang menerapkan konsep inklusif namun tidak selengkap bangunan utama. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penyesuaian yang lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan penghuni dan beragam kondisi fisik dan sosial. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi para perencana dan peneliti dalam mewujudkan kampung susun yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan di Kota Makassar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh standar akuntansi pemerintahan, sumber daya manusia, sistem pengendalian internal, dan teknologi informasi terhadap kualitas informasi laporan keuangan pada BLUD RSUD dr. M.M. Dunda Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 51 orang yang terdiri dari Direksi, Kepala Bagian, Kepala Sub Bagian dan Staf Pengelola Keuangan. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Standar Akuntansi Pemerintahan (SAP) dan Teknologi Informasi (TI) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kualitas Informasi Laporan Keuangan. Sementara untuk Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dan Sistem Pengendalian Internal (SPI) tidak memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap Kualitas Informasi Laporan Keuangan pada RSUD dr. M.M. Dunda Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo.

Abstract

Beauty is often associated with having an ideal shape, white and glowing skin, white teeth, and a pleasant voice. Smooth skin is a crucial factor in one's appearance, reflecting their identity. This encourages individuals, especially teenage girls, to aspire to achieve flawless skin. One cosmetic product frequently used by teenagers in Indonesia is the whitening cream, commonly referred to as bleaching cream. The emergence of facial whitening products in the market is driven by consumer demand, aligning with the current trend among teenagers who seek fair skin, thus impacting teenagers' pursuit of perfection. The objective of this study was to assess the level of knowledge and attitudes among adolescents at SMAN 1 Sidrap regarding the selection and use of facial whitening cream cosmetics. Respondents were selected using a cross-sectional design method, aiming to determine the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents at SMAN 1 Sidrap. The results indicate that the knowledge level is in the low category (35.68%), while the attitudes fall into the very good category (20.03%). The Chi-Square test yielded a p-value of 0.325, revealing no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of SMAN 1 Sidrap adolescents toward the selection and use of facial whitening cream cosmetics.
