Abstract

Scientific publication is one of the main indicators in assessing the academic quality of a lecturer and higher education institution. However, many lecturers still face obstacles in improving the quality and quantity of their publications. One solution to overcome this problem is to apply bibliometric methods in scientific research and publications. Bibliometrics is a data analysis technique that allows researchers to identify research trends, scientific collaboration, and the impact of publications. This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of STAI Nusantara Banda Aceh lecturers in scientific publications through bibliometric training. This training includes an introduction to the basic concepts of bibliometrics, the use of software such as VOSviewer and Publish or Perish, and publication strategies in reputable journals. The evaluation results showed that after attending the training, there was an increase in lecturers' understanding of bibliometric concepts as well as increased motivation in writing and publishing scientific articles. This activity is expected to contribute to improving the quality of scientific publications of lecturers and the academic reputation of STAI Nusantara Banda Aceh.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of social media and popular trends on the lifestyle transformation of students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) using a qualitative descriptive approach. This study aims to explore the understanding, experience, and meaning formed from the use of social media, especially TikTok and Instagram, in shaping students' lifestyles. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with active UINSU students selected using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study indicate that social media is the main medium in spreading lifestyle trends, including a minimalist lifestyle, which is often at odds with students' consumptive behavior.

Abstract

Peran Bahasa Indonesia sebagai alat komunikasi sangat signifikan dalam konteks masyarakat yang multikultural dan multibahasa di Indonesia. Sebagai bahasa resmi negara, Bahasa Indonesia berfungsi sebagai penghubung utama antara berbagai suku, budaya, dan bahasa daerah yang ada di seluruh nusantara. Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, bahasa ini memfasilitasi interaksi sosial, pendidikan, dan kegiatan ekonomi, serta menjadi sarana untuk menyampaikan informasi di media massa. Selain itu, Bahasa Indonesia juga berperan dalam membangun identitas nasional dan memperkuat rasa persatuan di antara warga negara. Dalam era globalisasi, penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia semakin penting dalam konteks diplomasi dan hubungan internasional, di mana bahasa ini menjadi alat komunikasi yang efektif untuk menjembatani kerjasama dengan negara lain. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek peran Bahasa Indonesia sebagai alat komunikasi, termasuk tantangan yang dihadapi dalam pelestarian dan pengembangan bahasa ini di tengah arus globalisasi. Dengan demikian, penguasaan Bahasa Indonesia menjadi krusial bagi setiap individu untuk berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam kehidupan sosial dan budaya, serta untuk memperkuat integrasi nasional di Indonesia.
