Abstract

The regional tectonic conditions of the KSK Contract of Work are located in the mid-Tertiary magmatic arc (Carlile and Mitchell, 1994) which host a number of epithermal gold deposits (eg, Kelian, Indon, Muro) and significant prospects such as Muyup, Masupa Ria, Gunung Mas and Mirah. Copper-gold mineralization in the KSK Contract of Work is associated with a number of intrusions that have occupied the shallow-scale crust at the Mesozoic metamorphic intercellular junction to the south and continuously into the Lower Tertiary sediment toward the water. This intrusion is interpreted to be part of the Oligocene arc of Central Kalimantan (in Carlile and Mitchell 1994) Volcanic rocks and associated volcanoes are older than intrusions, possibly aged Cretaceous and exposed together with all three contacts (Carlile and Mitchell, 1994) some researchers contribute details about the geological and mineralogical background, and some papers for that are published for the Beruang Kanan region and beyond but no one can confirm the genesis type of the Beruang Kanan region The mineralization of the Beruang Kanan area is generally composed by high yields of epithermal sulphide mineralization. with Cu-Au mineralization This high epithermal sulphide deposition coats the upper part of the Cu-Au porphyry precipitate associated with mineralization processes that are generally controlled by the structure

Abstract

Location of research situated in the village Karangdawa, district Margasari, Tegal Regency, Central Java. The location of the research is the exploration Licences PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk., with commodities limestone. This research is aimed at mengetahuikualitas, batugampingserta reserves and resources geotechnical model based on the geological model. Geotechnical models also determined based on the model of rockmass used slope stability analysis as a model to design the mine pit. The methods used in this research include field work in the form of observation of outcrops of rocks and develop the sample, as well as laboratory analysis in the form of analysis of petrographic analysis and XRF using the sample surface, analysis of physical and mechanical properties of the rock mass classification, as well as rocks based on Geological Strenght Index (GSI) uses a secondary data in the form of core data drilling. Analysis of the stability of slopes in this study using the method of limit equilibrium (limit equilibrium method). Interpretation and correlation of data indicating that the drilling core location stratigraphic research is composed by three units of rock: limestone, batulempung, as well as sandstones. XRF analysis results and modeling geology suggests the quality of limestone meet cement raw material standards as to the amount of 13,180,000 tons of limestone resources. The geometry of the slope resulting from the analysis of the stability of slopes of which are: single slope height of 10 meters, the angle of slope of a single 80-degree slope, the slope of the overall 48 degrees, 50 degrees, 60 degrees, 54 degrees, the wide level of 8.31 meters. Limestone reserves estimation is determined only on the basis of consideration of the mine pit design and ultimate pit limit which is limited by the territory of IUP. Backup tertambang (mineable reserve) limestone amounted to 7,477,000 tonnes.

Abstract

The research sites are located in the village of Berambang, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency,West Nusa Tenggara Province. This area was dominated by volcanic rocks composed of dasiticvolcanic rock, diatrema breccia, and diorite intrusion. Berambang area shows alteration in the form ofpotassic, propylitic, advanced argillic, and argillic alterations where in some places accompanied bypyritisation and stockwork structure, the type of mineralization in this area is a porphyry copper-goldtype. In the potasic alteration zone there are minerals that have a strong anomaly response to themagnetic due to the presence of oxide minerals magnetite (Fe2O3). Mineral sulfides such as pyrite(FeS2) and chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) will also provide significant anomalous responses that have anabundance of 2-5% in the potassic zone. In a propylitic alteration zone characterized by chlorite, calcite and epidote minerals that do not respond to magnetic anomalies, the presence of pyriteminerals, hematites and chalcopyrite with abundance of ≤1% will provide some magnetic anomaly inthe propylitic zone. As for advanceargillic alteration zones characterized by mineral andalusite, aluniteand quartz, there will not be any magnetic anomalies, the phenomena was due to the rarity ofmineralization in this zone gives an insignificant anomalous impact. Meanwhile, for the argillic zonecharacterized by mineral illite, kaolinite and smectite will not have anomalous magnetic impact, veryrare mineralization in the argillic zone so that the magnetic anomaly is not significant. From the floatingEuler 3D shows an anomalous source from a depth of 0 meters to a depth of more than 400 meters.

Abstract

High demands of metal such as gold, silver, and copper, also their limited occurances causing an understanding of geological conditions, alteration and ore mineralization characteristics are needed for a sustainable exploration. This study aims to elucidate geological conditions, characteristics and the distribution of alteration zones and ores mineralization in Purnama Martabe Pit based on geological mapping, drill cores logging and sampling. Selected samples were analysed by XRF (X-Ray Fluorescenes), ASD (Analytical Spectral Devices), petrography, and mineragraphy analysis. Lithological units at the study area consist of andesite lava unit, diorite intrusion dome and polymictic phreatomagmatic breccia units. Based on ASD analysis, alteration zones in the study area are vuggy-massive silica, silica+dickite±alunite, illite+smectite, and smectite+chlorite. Based on mineragraphy and XRF, the mineralization occurred at the study area is composed of pyrite, enargite, hematite, goethite, and jarosite. Zonation and distribution of alteration and mineralization is predominantly controlled by the north east – south west structure in the form of quartz veins, north west – south east structure, and various porosities of the lithological units.
