Abstract

The people living in today's era are inseparable from the internet. Since the emergence of the internet with adequate access, various aspects of community life have changed drastically and dramatically. This phenomenon is often seen especially among students and teenagers, greatly influencing the social interaction process, resulting in a tendency to play online games significantly. This research discusses the influence of social interaction among adolescent users of online games at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School. The research problem formulation is first, whether there is an influence of online game addiction on adolescent behavior at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School. Second, whether there is an influence of student social interaction on students addicted to online games at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School. The aim is to determine the influence of online game addiction on adolescent behavior at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School, and secondly, to determine the influence of social interaction on students addicted to playing online games at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The result of this study show that use of online game affect teenagers social interactions through action using symbols, meaning, and cues.

Abstract

Labeling in adolescents can be formed from a deviation that occurs due to a negative gap in their social environment, which affects their behavior and lifestyle. Islamic Junior High School are not differentiated from other public schools because adolescents always want to try new things to find their identity. In addition, the formation of self-concept is also obtained from the process of interaction with the social environment with the suitability between self-image and ideal self. This study aims to see the relationship between self-concept formation and labeling actions in adolescents, so this research is quantitative correlation with data collection using a questionnaire. The results obtained from this study show that there is an act of labeling in schools with Islamic values and the formation of self-concept in adolescents can be influenced by the act of labeling with a positive and significant value. Adolescents who are socially labeled will see themselves as the label given by their environment.

Abstract

Semakin bertambahnya penderita autis di Indonesia dan juga di seluruh dunia membutuhkan dukungan semua pihak guna mengkomunikasikan apa itu autisme, seperti apa gejalanya serta bagaimana penanganannya. Dukungan sosial (social support) juga sangat diperlukan untuk anak autis, tidak hanya dari keluarga namun juga lingkungan terdekatnya dan bahkan seluruh elemen masyarakat. Tidak seharusnya anak dengan autisme mendapatkan perlakuan buruk dari lingkungannya seperti bullying, hanya karena pemahaman tentang autisme yang kurang dari lingkungan. Dalam penelitian ini komunikasi dilakukan melalui perancangan pembuatan Iklan Layanan Masyarakat (ILM) guna memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang autisme sehingga masyarakat mau memberikan dukungan sosial kepada anak autis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) Menentukan pesan komunikasi guna mempromosikan dukungan sosial untuk anak autis 2) Merancang ILM sebagai bentuk promosi dukungan sosial untuk anak autis 3) Memproduksi ILM dukungan untuk anak autis dalam bentuk e-poster. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara pada informan kunci yang memahami apa itu autisme dan langkah-langkah dukungan sosial untuk anak autis. Tahapan penelitian diawali dengan wawancara kepada para informan kunci, selanjutnya hasil wawancara dianalisis dan dilakukan reduksi data serta disajikan dalam bentuk hasil penelitian. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber melalui wawancara dengan praktisi periklanan yang telah berpengalaman memproduksi ILM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pesan komunikasi yang penting untuk disampaikan guna memberikan dukungan sosial untuk anak autis adalah dengan mengajak semua orang jadi bagian dari lingkungan inklusif dengan menitikberatkan bahwa semua anak adalah unik dengan potensinya masing-masing, termasuk anak autis.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence and impact of the use of digital technology on cognitive development in underage children. This research also explains how important the role of parents is in supervising and accompanying children's growth and development. With research conducted regarding the influence and impact of the use of digital technology on cognitive development in children, it highlights the role of parents which greatly influences the impact on children, and the result is that children master technology better than their parents, the information obtained by the child is faster, but the habit of excessive use of technology actually has a negative impact on children's social skills and emotional control. the importance of well-structured use of technology and parental supervision of children's cognitive development.

Abstract

Social media has become an essential aspect of modern teenagers' lives, offering communication convenience but also introducing new mental health challenges. This study aims to examine the influence of social media on adolescent stress levels using a literature review approach. The findings indicate that excessive social media use can lead to stress due to social pressure, self-comparison, cyberbullying, and the fear of missing out (FOMO). While social media can support self-expression and creativity, its negative effects cannot be overlooked. Therefore, preventive strategies such as limiting screen time, strengthening social support systems, and increasing parental involvement are crucial in guiding teens toward healthier and more balanced digital media use. These efforts are expected to promote better psychological well-being among adolescents in the digital era.

Abstract

Sexual violence  against women  is a serious issue the  leaves deep traumatic impacts and significantly affects the mental health of the victims. This research aims to investigate the psychological impact experienced by women who are victims of sexual violence. The main focus of research includes post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, sense of  meaning,  and decreased self-esteem. The methodology of this research applies a qualitative approach by conducting a literature review of various journals, reports, and related articles. The research results show that sexual violence not only causes physical suffering but also significantly impacts the emotional and mental stability of the victims over a long period. Therefore, social  support, counselling service, and psychological assistance are essential elements in the healing process. This study is expected to enhance public understanding of the impact of sexual violence and encourage the formulation of more effective policies in handling and preventing similar cases.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transitional phase in individual development, from childhood to adulthood. During this period, adolescents experience significant physical, emotional, and social events. The presence of psychological pressure, such as anxiety, and stress can be a factor in adolescent well-being and development. Stress can be triggered by something and will disappear after life events change. In real terms, it can affect emotional abilities that are unstable and physical conditions can be disturbed. The things they feel from sexual harassment (verbal) can also trigger psychological stress. Stress can trigger adolescents to commit other deviant acts. This study aims to determine changes in deviant behavior in adolescents in Duren Mekar Village who experience low or high levels of psychological distress. The research method used is a quantitative method with a data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that between these variables at a relatively low level of 15.5%.

Abstract

Kecemasan akademik merupakan salah satu tantangan psikologis yang umum dialami remaja dan berpotensi menurunkan kualitas kesehatan mental serta capaian akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi strategi coping yang digunakan remaja untuk mengatasi kecemasan akademik, dengan meninjau literatur ilmiah dari berbagai sumber nasional dan internasional bereputasi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis dua jenis strategi coping, yaitu problem-focused coping yang berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah dan emotion-focused coping yang berfokus pada pengaturan emosi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan strategi problem-focused coping secara konsisten lebih efektif dalam menurunkan tingkat kecemasan melalui manajemen waktu, penyusunan strategi belajar, dan dukungan sosial. Sementara itu, emotion-focused coping berperan menjaga kestabilan emosional dalam situasi yang sulit diubah. Integrasi kedua pendekatan ini, ditambah dukungan sosial, efikasi diri, serta pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran, terbukti memberikan hasil terbaik dalam mengurangi kecemasan akademik dan meningkatkan adaptasi remaja terhadap tekanan akademik

Abstract

These findings confirm that digital burnout is a serious mental health issue that requires a holistic approach to addressing it. In addition to internal factors such as low self-awareness regarding digital media usage limits, external factors such as academic pressure, high productivity demands, and a hustle culture also exacerbate digital burnout in Generation Z. They often feel trapped in a cycle of hyper-connectivity, where digital media is not only a communication tool but also a source of social validation and self-existence. This dependency has the potential to form compulsive behavioral patterns that are difficult to break, even when individuals begin to experience the negative impacts. Coping strategies used by Generation Z vary, from digital detoxes and screen time management to seeking social support. However, the effectiveness of these strategies depends heavily on individual awareness and support from their surrounding environment, including family, school, and the digital community itself. Several studies also recommend the application of digital mindfulness, namely full awareness in using technology wisely, as one way to reduce the symptoms of digital burnout. Digital literacy and mental health education are also important keys in equipping Generation Z to manage the pressures of digital media in a healthy and sustainable manner. Thus, it is crucial for policymakers, educators, and mental health service providers to work together to create a digital ecosystem that is more supportive and focused on the well-being of young users. Further research is recommended to explore technology-based interventions with a humanistic approach, to balance the benefits and risks in this era of limitless connectivity. Collaborative cross-sector efforts are essential to build collective awareness of the importance of digital balance for the mental health of Generation Z.

Abstract

In Indonesia, there are approximately 22.97 million people, or approximately 8.5 percent of the population, with the largest proportion being in the elderly group. One form of disability is physical disability, a condition in which limbs are imperfect due to defects that cause damage to bones, muscles, and joints, so that body functions cannot run normally. This condition often impacts not only the physical aspect, but also the psychological health of the sufferer. One of the main challenges faced by people with physical disabilities is maintaining resilience, namely the individual's ability to overcome depression, anxiety, pressure, and stress in living daily life. This study uses a literature review method to examine the results of previous studies relevant to the topic of resilience in people with physical disabilities. The data collection process was carried out through literature searches on the internet using sources from Google Scholar and Google Books. The criteria for selected literature include research that focuses on psychological interventions, especially reality therapy, and its effect on increasing resilience. Reality therapy is a counseling approach that emphasizes personal responsibility, awareness of choices, and the development of skills to face life's challenges effectively. The study results indicate that reality therapy has been shown to have a positive effect on increasing resilience in individuals with physical disabilities. Through a structured counseling process, this therapy helps individuals recognize their potential, develop positive attitudes, and develop adaptive coping strategies. Furthermore, reality therapy can increase motivation, self-confidence, and the ability to make constructive decisions when faced with physical limitations and social pressures. These findings indicate that the application of reality therapy can be an effective approach to supporting the psychological well-being of individuals with physical disabilities, while also contributing to more holistic rehabilitation efforts in Indonesia.
