Abstract

Depression in adolescents is a significant mental health issue in Indonesia, with its prevalence increasing every year. Adolescence is a transitional period marked by complex physical, social, and psychological changes. During this phase, adolescents often face emotional instability, academic pressure, social demands, and confusion in establishing self-identity. These factors can trigger prolonged stress and increase the risk of depression. Appropriate prevention and intervention efforts are crucial to address this issue. One approach that has proven effective is art-based group therapy. Art therapy provides a space for adolescents to express their thoughts and feelings creatively through visual media, which can help them understand themselves, manage their emotions, and build social skills. This study used the Systematic Literature Review method to identify, analyze, and synthesize the results of studies related to the effectiveness of art therapy on adolescent mental health. Data sources were obtained from various national and international journals relevant to the keywords "Art Therapy", "adolescent depression", and "mental health". The results of the literature review indicate that art therapy consistently has positive impacts, including reducing depressive symptoms, increasing self-confidence, strengthening interpersonal skills, and developing emotional intelligence. The creative process in this therapy encourages adolescents to be more open, able to process emotional experiences, and find positive ways to deal with problems. Based on these findings, Art Therapy is recommended for ongoing implementation in schools and communities as part of mental health programs. This intervention serves not only as a means of recovery but also as a preventative measure in building adolescents' psychological resilience, enabling them to grow and develop optimally amidst the challenges of modern life.

Abstract

Bullying in schools is a serious issue that affects students’ mental health and therefore needs to be addressed through specific programs that create a safe, comfortable, and healthy environment. Increasing public awareness of the dangers of bullying has encouraged the emergence of anti-bullying programs in schools, including at SMA Dharma Karya UT. This study aims to analyze the implementation of such a program with four main objectives, namely to understand its execution, assess its effectiveness, identify existing obstacles, and provide relevant recommendations for improvement. The research method employed is quantitative with a descriptive approach using questionnaires developed based on program implementation and mental health indicators, tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed with SPSS version 25. The research sample involved 98 students from grades X, XI, and XII, selected through a representative quota sampling technique. The results show a significant relationship between the anti-bullying program and students’ mental health, with a correlation coefficient of 0.760 indicating a strong relationship. The program explains 57.8% of the variance in mental health, while 42.2% is influenced by other external factors. Simple regression analysis produced a constant of 43.783 and a coefficient of 1.814, meaning improvements in program implementation are directly proportional to improvements in mental health. Hypothesis testing confirmed significance with a value of 0.000 < 0.05, thus accepting the alternative hypothesis. The anti-bullying program has proven to be effective and can serve as a reference for other schools.

Abstract

This article aims to explain and describe the role of peer counselors in dealing with child victims of sexual violence, especially in schools. The discussion of this article was obtained through a literature study from various reading sources such as journals and books used to describe theories related to child development, explore the impact of sexual violence on victims, and describe the role of social workers in dealing with the problem of sexual violence in children. The high rate of sexual violence against children shows the importance of handling child victims of sexual violence. In this case, peer counselors can provide support and motivation to children who are victims of sexual violence. In addition, counselors can be friends to tell stories from children who are victims of this violence. In this case, Peer Counselors can also conduct Counseling. Counseling is carried out by intervening negative thoughts of children that arise due to sexual violence in various ways, such as stopping negative thoughts. In addition, cognitive therapy can also be done by changing or exchanging thoughts, for example counselors help children to memorize short verses in the form of statements that are contrary to the concerns experienced by children. The child then repeats the verse to get rid of his worries.

Abstract

The background of this literature review study is the many people still suffer from mental illnesses, and the number of people who suffer from them is growing every year. Types of mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, stress, hallucinations, and others. The purpose of this literature is to see how efficient Classical Music Therapy is at lowering the rate of mental problems in people of all ages, from children to the elderly. The method of literature review review was obtained using the keywords "efficacy of classical music treatment," "impact of classical music therapy," and "mental problems" in the Google Scholar, Garuda, and Mendeley databases. The results of the literature review study based on fifteen journals that have been presented that classical music therapy is effective in reducing the rate of mental disorders in children to the elderly. The journal review found that: 1) Depression is reduced; 2) Anxiety is reduced; 3) Stress is reduced; 4) Hallucinations are reduced; and 5) The psychological improvement. Conclusions from the study of literature, that classical music therapy reduces the risk of mental problems in people of all ages, from children to the elderly This literature review study suggests that classical music therapy can be utilized as a non-pharmacological treatment for those suffering from mental illnesses.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is deviant behavior carried out by teenagers that violates the law, values ​​and social norms that exist in society, because at this time teenagers are very easy to be influenced by negative things in their environment. Cases of juvenile delinquency in Indonesia have increased from year to year. Reporting from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (2019) from January to April 2019 there were 37 cases of juvenile delinquency at various levels of education, in 2017 the number was 12.9, increasing to 14 percent in 2018. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of behavioral counseling in dealing with juvenile delinquency so that teenagers can control themselves and not do things that violate social norms in society. This research uses qualitative methods based on post-positivist philosophy, while for the study of natural objects, the researcher is the key tool and data collection techniques are carried out in a combination. Juvenile delinquency is generally caused by personality factors, environmental factors (family, school, community). In this case, behavioral counseling approaches with preventive, curative and coaching efforts can help teenagers control themselves and solve problems. The behavioral counseling approach used in dealing with juvenile delinquency must be carried out optimally based on existing techniques so that it can change and eliminate bad behavior in teenagers.

Abstract

This article aims to explain and describe social work in handling cases of bullying in children through cognitive behavioral therapy. The discussion in this article was obtained through literature studies from various reading sources such as journals and books which were used to explain theories related to bullying and cognitive behavioral therapy. The current lack of education and handling of bullying is the trigger for the increasing number of bullying cases that occur every year, this shows the importance of handling bullying cases. In this case, the role of social work includes, among others, as a broker, enabler, advocate and motivator. Apart from that, in cases of child bullying through cognitive behavioral therapy, social work as a counselor plays a role in helping the learning process to create conventions in such a way that clients can change their behavior and solve their problems. By looking at the benefits of behavioral counseling mentioned above, researchers hope to minimize bullying.

Abstract

Human Rights (HAM) are basically rights that every human being has and have the right to enjoy because human rights are rights inherent in humans and are the most basic rights and without exception. Likewise, people with disabilities have the same rights, obligations and position as humans in general. Social work is a helping profession that provides insight into other people through continuous verbal or non-verbal interaction with clients. This research uses a qualitative type with a single case study approach. This research aims to determine the role of social workers as consular officers for people with disabilities. This research shows that social workers in dealing with disabilities act as motivators, counselors, liaisons or informers, liaisons, advocates and facilitators.

Abstract

The research is aimed at knowing the problems of the client and the causes of the client's social irregularities. The study uses qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques are performed with observation, interviews and literature studies. The result of this study is the factor behind the social irregularities of adolescents who experience or live in broken home circles. Most youths commit this social aberrant because they want to shift their weight, their unhinged teenage behavior is also one of the factors that causes youths to commit deviations or delinquency, making them more susceptible to the adverse effects of their surroundings. A typical example of broken home adolescents involves alcoholics, drug use, and so forth. At present, however, social deviations are not limited to the person or youth of broken home, illness. Delinquency seems to be common in teens or in juvenile delinquency often results in achievement (pride) in order to make it a good, fun, fun youth. This factor is due to the rapid growth of globalization and modernization that many outside cultures are introduced into Indonesia and are affecting social aberrant behavior in the youth.

Abstract

Information Technology (IT) is the study, design, development and support, especially of software. With increasingly advanced developments, the rapid progress of information technology has presented a new world that allows interaction to take place quickly and instantly, one of which is via the internet. The presence of the internet influences almost all interaction patterns, including interaction patterns between counselors and their clients. The development of this technology provides various conveniences in types of humanitarian services, including the counseling service process. Guidance and counseling services should be directed at how to equip digital generation students with superior characters who utilize information and communication technology, so that they can lead students towards a bright future. The media used in counseling are computers and audio-visual devices. The role of technology can be very useful in supporting the Guidance and Counseling Teacher service process so that it is more effective, efficient, creative, varied and innovative in finding the latest information in the service process. The advantage of using a website in counseling services is that it opens up opportunities for providing counseling services without time limits, because it can be done wherever and whenever needed.

Abstract

Adolescence is an important transition period in a person's life, where they experience significant physical, psychological and social changes. During this period, teenagers often face various pressures and challenges, including the problem that teenagers often face is loneliness. Prolonged loneliness can cause teenagers to feel isolated, hopeless, and have difficulty dealing with negative emotions. In this situation, teens may look for ways to ease the pain and achieve a temporary sense of relief. One response that may arise is self-harm behavior or self-injury. And to minimize the occurrence of self-harm, social support is very necessary. This research aims to gain a deeper understanding of how important social support is for self-harm behavior in teenagers who feel lonely. This research uses a qualitative approach and the method used is literature study. Meanwhile, the data collection technique in this research is a documentary study. The research results show that social support has an important role in self-harm behavior because social support can act as a protective factor in reducing the risk of self-harm behavior in lonely adolescents. The higher the level of social support received by adolescents, the lower the level of self-harm behavior they engage in.
