Abstract

This research lays the groundwork for developing an integrated STEM-based science e-module on energy material for Grade VIII students. The study aims to analyze the presence of STEM components—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—and scientific literacy in Grade VIII science textbooks covering energy topics. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research examines the energy material presented in the Grade VIII science textbook published by the Center for Books, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. The analysis reveals that the science component dominates the discussion, while technology, engineering, and mathematics are largely absent. Regarding scientific literacy, the textbook presents energy concepts primarily by explaining science as knowledge and its applications in society. However, elements related to scientific inquiry, historical contributions, and science as a way of thinking are not integrated into the material

Abstract

The aim of this service is to equip Madrasah Aliyah teachers to create learning tools that integrate character education in learning activities. The method used to achieve this goal is with training with more demonstrations, questions and answers and practice as well as mentoring. The training material is presented with more practice than theory, with a ratio of 30% theory and 70% practice. The results of this service produce national character-based learning implementation plan (RPP) products and national character-based learning evaluation instruments. The national character-based RPP in the indicator component explicitly emphasizes the character that must be displayed or is to be achieved. In general, the learning objectives component only writes down learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. Meanwhile, the component of learning objectives based on national character is clearly exposed to the conditions given to students to be able to display character both in the learning and assessment processes. Meanwhile, in this evaluation instrument, the affective aspects of learning can be observed and measured well. In this evaluation instrument the focus is on the character that will be achieved, with assessment criteria A for doing well, assessment B for doing and needs improvement and assessment C for not doing, from these criteria the teacher can measure the level of student character development that has not been observed so far is well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis muatan STEAM dalam bahan ajar IPA kelas VIII khususnya pada materi gelombang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan objek penelitian yang digunakan adalah lima jenis bahan ajar IPA yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelima bahan ajar memiliki persentase rendah hingga sangat rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project Based Learning/PjBL) yang terintegrasi dengan pendekatan STEAM terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, ditinjau dari tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-eksperimen dengan desain post only control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa sekolah menengah yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan model PjBL-STEAM dan kelompok kontrol dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, tes penalaran matematis, serta lembar observasi untuk mengevaluasi proses pembelajaran.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL-STEAM secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis lebih lanjut mengungkapkan bahwa siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis tinggi cenderung menunjukkan peningkatan lebih besar dalam berpikir kreatif, sementara siswa dengan kemampuan penalaran matematis rendah tetap menunjukkan peningkatan meskipun tidak sekuat kelompok lainnya. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa keterpaduan STEAM dalam model PjBL efektif dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kreatif melalui kegiatan kolaboratif dan eksploratif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa model PjBL-STEAM merupakan pendekatan yang inovatif dan relevan dalam mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21, khususnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dengan mempertimbangkan variasi tingkat penalaran matematis siswa. Model ini dapat diimplementasikan lebih luas dalam pembelajaran matematika dan sains untuk menghasilkan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna.
