Abstract

This study aims to examine the significant influence of financial literacy, lifestyle, and income level on the financial management of students at Slamet Riyadi University Surakarta. Using a quantitative approach, this study utilises primary data collected from 100 students through proportional random sampling. The research instruments were validated and tested for reliability, followed by testing classical assumptions such as multicollinearity, autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, and normality. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, as well as t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²) to test hypotheses and evaluate model accuracy. The results of the validity and reliability tests showed that all variables of financial literacy, lifestyle, income level, and financial management were valid and reliable. After passing the classical assumption tests, the regression analysis results showed that the three independent variables (financial literacy, lifestyle, and income level) significantly influenced students' financial management. These findings are confirmed by the results of the t-test and F-test, which indicate that the regression model used is appropriate. However, the R² value of 34.9% indicates that these variables can only explain less than a third of the variation in students' financial management, while the remaining 65.1% is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the significance of the influence of board gender diversity and independent commissioners, both partially and simultaneously, on the financial performance of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. The population in this study includes all non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a sample of 350 companies out of 852. The data analysis methods used include descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, panel data regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²). he results of the study indicate the following regression equation: Y = 1.7096 + 1.5722 X1 + 3.0262 X2 + 1.2642 X3 + Year_Dummy + Sector_Dummy + e. The t-test results show that the indicator of female commissioners does not significantly affect financial performance (significance = 0.399 > 0.05), and the indicator of female directors also does not significantly affect financial performance (significance = 0.061 > 0.05). However, the independent commissioner indicator has a significant positive effect on financial performance (significance = 0.020 < 0.05). The F-test results show that board gender diversity (female commissioners and female directors) and independent commissioners simultaneously have a significant effect on financial performance, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 7.43%, while the remaining 92.57% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study focuses on analysing the significance of the influence of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on company value, using financial performance as a mediating variable. This quantitative study uses secondary data from 63 mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2021-2023, selected through purposive sampling. The data collected through literature studies and documentation were then analysed using a series of statistical tests, including classical assumption tests, path analysis, t-tests, F-tests, R² tests, and Sobel tests. The results showed that all variables passed the classical assumption test, meaning that the regression model was valid. Furthermore, path analysis revealed that GCG had a significant effect on financial performance but no significant effect on company value. Conversely, CSR had no significant effect on financial performance but a significant effect on company value, with financial performance also having a significant effect on company value. However, the Sobel test confirmed that financial performance did not successfully mediate the effect of GCG and CSR on company value. On the other hand, the F test confirms that the regression model used is appropriate, although the R² test shows that the independent variables can only explain 10.8% and 23.1% of the variation in company value, while the rest is influenced by factors outside the model.

Abstract

This study was designed to empirically test the significance of the influence of financial literacy (X₁), lifestyle (X₂), and financial technology (X₃) on the financial behaviour (Y) of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Slamet Riyadi University, Surakarta. The methodology used was a quantitative survey of 100 respondents selected using quota sampling techniques. The data were analysed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study concluded as follows: (1) Financial literacy and lifestyle partially have a significant effect on financial behaviour. (2) Financial technology does not have a significant effect on financial behaviour. (3) Simultaneously, the F test (p=0.000) shows that the three independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable, indicating the validity of the model. (4) The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R2) is 0.231, which means that the simultaneous contribution of the three independent variables to the dependent variable is 23.1%, while the remaining 76.9% is influenced by other variables not examined.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of cryptocurrency and commodity prices on the movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) in Indonesia during the period 2020–2024. Motivated by the increasing complexity and interconnectivity of global financial markets, this study examines the independent variables of Bitcoin, Ethereum, gold, and world crude oil prices against the dependent variable of the IHSG, based on the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH). Using a quantitative approach, this study analyses monthly secondary data through a multiple linear regression model. The results of the analysis show that, simultaneously, the four independent variables have a significant effect on the IHSG. However, partial testing produced different findings: only the prices of gold and global crude oil were found to have a significant effect, while the prices of Bitcoin and Ethereum did not show a statistically significant effect. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) value of 0.874 indicates that 87.4% of the variation in the IHSG can be explained collectively by the four predictor variables in this model.

Abstract

Social capital includes social networks, norms, and beliefs of Angkringan vendors in maintaining business in Pekanbaru City. This study aims to find out the elements of social capital between semi-independent Angkringan vendors and suppliers and elements of social capital between Angkringan vendors and consumers in Pekanbaru City using Social Capital Theory by Robert D. Putnam. This study was conducted in Jl. Arifn Ahmad and Jl. H.R.Soebrantas, Pekanbaru City. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were 9 people consisting of 3 additional subjects and 6 main subjects who were selected systematically using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study showed that social capital is an important factor in maintaining Angkringan business. The three main elements of social capital are networks, norms, and beliefs, which have a significant role in supporting business sustainability. Semi-independent Angkringan vendors tend to rely on suppliers, so a relationship based on trust and cooperation through social networks is the key to sustaining their business. The same applies to the relationship with consumers; vendors really require consumers to ensure business continuity. Thus, social capital is the main foundation for maintaining and developing Angkringan business.
