Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the school principal in creating discipline in the school environment at SMP Negeri 24 Palembang and to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors for the role of the principal in creating discipline in the school environment at SMP Negeri 24 Palembang. In this study, researchers used a type of qualitative research using a qualitative descriptive approach. Research data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. While the techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, data verification and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of this research data using data source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the role of the principal in creating discipline in the school environment at SMP Negeri 24 Palembang is going quite well. The results of the researchers looked at the role of the principal in creating discipline in the school environment at SMP Negeri 24 Palembang, showing indicators of the role of the principal, namely instilling, habituating, supervising, reward and punishment, guidance and motivation. The supporting factors are good inter-team cooperation and a disciplined environment. The inhibiting factor is the lack of awareness about the importance of discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the latest developments in 21st century education with a focus on the theory of multiple intelligences, educational technology, and the values ​​of social justice and equity. Through the method of literature review, this study found that inclusive and holistic approaches in education are increasingly important. The theory of multiple intelligences became popular as a response to this need, valuing the diversity of intelligences in the process of teaching and learning. Educational technology and games have also been shown to support soft skill development and student participation. The values ​​of social justice and equity emerge as important elements in educational practices and policies. This study suggests further research on optimizing practices based on the theory of multiple intelligences, the effectiveness of technology-based educational games, and the integration of social justice and equity values ​​in education.

Abstract

This study is intended to examine the urgency of developing PAI learning methods from conventional to contextual. The study in the research, among others, discusses the basis of the development of learning methods, the characteristics of conventional learning methods, and the characteristics of contextual learning methods. The method used in the research is a literature study of primary sources and secondary sources, in the form of previous research results which are research reports and articles published in scientific journals. The results showed that to increase the effectiveness of PAI learning, it is necessary to shift from conventional methods to contextual methods. With contextual methods, teachers can relate PAI materials to real situations, illustrate their relevance in everyday life, and encourage students to bridge theoretical knowledge with its application in their lives. The use of contextual methods in PAI learning in schools is an innovative effort to enhance the role of Islamic education in educational institutions, with the main objective of forming Islamic character in students. The study recommends that PAI teachers can apply contextual methods in PAI learning so that the results of PAI learning can be more meaningful for students' lives.

Abstract

Banyak pegawai menghadapi tantangan motivasi yang berpotensi menghambat produktivitas dan kinerja dalam lingkungan madrasah. Kepala madrasah perlu menemukan strategi motivasi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan antusiasme kerja dan komitmen pegawai terhadap tugas-tugas mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepala madrasah sebagai motivator dalam mendorong minat dan semangat kerja di MI PSM Batumarta X. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan kepala madrasah, tenaga pendidik, dan tenaga kependidikan administrasi sebagai informan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diterapkan meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, sementara analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi metode dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala madrasah menjalankan lima tugas utama yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan motivasi tenaga pendidik di MI PSM Batumarta X. Pertama, pengaturan lingkungan fisik yang bersih dan ergonomis menciptakan kenyamanan dan fokus. Kedua, suasana kerja yang harmonis dibangun melalui komunikasi terbuka dan kolaboratif, memperkuat rasa saling menghargai. Ketiga, disiplin yang konsisten menjadi kunci dalam budaya kerja yang produktif, meskipun terdapat tantangan ketepatan waktu. Keempat, kepala madrasah memberikan motivasi melalui bimbingan dan perhatian personal, membuat tenaga pendidik merasa dihargai. Kelima, penghargaan sederhana, seperti ucapan selamat, terbukti efektif mendorong prestasi. Terakhir, Kepala madrasah di MI PSM Batumarta X secara efektif memanfaatkan sumber belajar, seperti pelatihan dan diskusi, untuk memotivasi dan meningkatkan semangat kerja tenaga pendidik, yang berdampak positif terhadap kualitas pengajaran dan kolaborasi di lingkungan madrasah. Secara keseluruhan, peran aktif kepala madrasah dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung dan memberikan penghargaan berkontribusi besar terhadap semangat kerja tenaga pendidikan, dengan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan sistem penghargaan yang lebih terstruktur.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to uncover the communication strategies employed by school principals in enhancing teachers' performance at SD Negeri 13 Talang Kelapa. A qualitative research method was utilized, involving in-depth interviews with selected principals and teachers, along with direct observations within the school environment. The findings indicate that principals utilize various communication strategies, including effective interpersonal communication, relevant media usage, and fostering open and collaborative communication culture. Additionally, principals employ coaching approaches and personal motivation to foster teachers' professional growth. Despite efforts, there remains a need to enhance communication strategies in improving teachers' performance. Supporting factors include effective communication methods, appropriate scheduling, and adequate facilities, while technical disruptions and semantic barriers hinder communication strategies. These findings offer deeper insights into the crucial role of school principals in creating supportive, motivating, and facilitating environments for teachers' professional growth. The conclusion, underscore the importance of effective communication in school management, particularly focusing on the relationship between principals and teachers to enhance the quality of education at SD Negeri 13 Talang Kelapa. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pemeliharaan bahan pustaka di Perpustakaan SD Negeri 12 Rambang, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Informan penelitian adalah Kepala Sekolah, Kepala Perpustakaan, dan Staf Perpustakaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pemeliharaan bahan pustaka cukup baik, dengan indikator seperti koordinasi dalam pengumpulan dan pemilahan buku rusak, pendataan, perawatan, perbaikan buku rusak ringan, serta shelving. Namun, pelaksanaan belum maksimal karena tidak melibatkan pihak ketiga dalam perbaikan buku rusak berat. Faktor pendukung meliputi fasilitas perpustakaan yang memadai dan kerjasama yang baik antarpegawai. Faktor penghambatnya adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam menjaga buku dan minimnya sumber daya manusia yang kompeten di bidang perpustakaan.

Abstract

Kurangnya infrastruktur dan fasilitas di lembaga pendidikan sering kali dianggap sebagai hambatan utama dalam penerapan manajemen peserta didik yang efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana sistem penerimaan, seleksi, pengelompokan, dan evaluasi peserta didik diterapkan di SD Negeri 23 Talang Kelapa. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, didukung oleh observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah dan wakil kepala bidang kesiswaan telah berhasil menyusun rencana manajemen peserta didik yang terstruktur dan terdokumentasi dengan baik. Ini mencakup proses penerimaan peserta didik baru, pengaturan kapasitas, dan prosedur seleksi. Pelaksanaannya mengikuti rencana sistematis yang mencakup kegiatan akademik dan non-akademik peserta didik. Pengawasan dilakukan berdasarkan sistem manajemen yang telah ditetapkan, sehingga semua kegiatan yang berkaitan dengan peserta didik dapat direncanakan, dilaksanakan, dan dimonitor dengan baik. Meskipun terdapat keterbatasan infrastruktur, sekolah mampu menjaga ketertiban dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran melalui penjadwalan adaptif dan strategi kebijakan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya manajemen peserta didik yang komprehensif dalam mendukung mutu pendidikan.

Abstract

Education has become an increasingly competitive sector, requiring institutions to implement strategic marketing management to maintain public trust. This study aims to describe and analyze the educational promotion strategies at SDN 8 Talang Kelapa in an effort to increase the interest of new students. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through the human instrument, supported by interview guides, non-participant observation, and documentation of school publication materials. Primary data sources involved the School Principal and the New Student Admission (PPDB) committee, while secondary data sources involved parents. Data analysis was conducted systematically through the cycles of collection, reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing based on the Miles & Huberman model (1994). The results indicate that the implemented promotion strategies encompass a mix of direct promotion, such as visits to local kindergartens, and indirect promotion through the utilization of digital and print media. The success of these strategies is significantly influenced by the role of public relations management in building a positive school image and effectively communicating the superiority of facilities and educational programs. This study concludes that structured and technologically adaptive promotion strategies are crucial in enhancing school visibility and attractiveness amidst competition between educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the administrative office in student affairs administration at SMP Negeri 6 Prabumulih. The administrative office plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of school administration, particularly in data management and services provided to students. This study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of the administrative staff. The results indicate that the administrative office plays a role in managing student data, archiving student documents, preparing correspondence, managing attendance, and providing administrative services related to student needs. Additionally, the administrative office serves as a facilitator for smooth communication between the school, students, and parents. Student administrative services at the school have been functioning fairly well, although some challenges remain, such as limited supporting facilities and a backlog of administrative work. Therefore, improvements in facilities and more effective work management are needed to ensure that student administrative services can operate optimally
