Abstract

Abstract The phenomenon of E-Begging in TikTok live streaming is increasingly becoming a concern in today's digital era. E-Begging, which is the practice of asking for help online, utilizes the live streaming feature to attract viewers and obtain virtual gifts as a form of support. This study aims to analyze this phenomenon from the perspective of the hadith, especially those related to ethics and morals in a social context (interpersonal relationships). In this study, a qualitative approach with thematic-conceptual methods was used to explore the meaning and awareness of the practice of E-Begging. The results of the study show that begging without an emergency is an act that is prohibited in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized the importance of trying and seeking sustenance in a halal way. Therefore, the phenomenon of E-Begging not only reflects social problems such as poverty and economic instability, but also raises ethical questions regarding human dignity and values in society. Through this study, it is hoped that the public can better understand the negative impacts of E-Begging and encourage discussions about more constructive solutions to help those in need without degrading their dignity. This study also recommends the need for collective awareness not to support practices that are detrimental both socially and morally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of the hijrah trend among the millennial generation and its relevance to the teachings of Hadith. Originally understood as a physical and spiritual migration, the hijrah phenomenon has rapidly developed among millennials as a form of searching for meaning in life and self-identity. Through a qualitative approach and literature study, this research examines the driving factors behind the hijrah trend, including the influence of social media, popular culture, and spiritual awareness. Additionally, the study explores the relevance of the hijrah practices undertaken by millennials in relation to Hadiths that discuss self-transformation and the upholding of Islamic values. The results indicate that the hijrah trend among millennials is not merely a social phenomenon but also a manifestation of their efforts to affirm Islamic identity and seek inner peace, in accordance with Hadith teachings. This research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the socio-religious dynamics in the millennial era and its contribution to strengthening Islamic identity in modern society.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the incorporation of Islamic and customary law into the marriage customs of the Bugis Bone community in South Sulawesi. This research is an empirical legal study employing a legal history and legal sociology methodology. The data for this study was generated from studies of relevant literature and in-depth interviews. This study suggests that syara' and ade' are integrated in the Bugis marital tradition, as evidenced by sompa or dowry, tudang penni, mappacci and mabbarazanji, mappanre tame, and assitulung-tulungan or ma'jama (helpng each other or work collaboratively). If you are referring to the study of Islamic law, then this tradition is part of al-urf, which does not contradict the Qur'an, Sunnah, or good practices, and can be adopted because it provides benefits and advantages. The diverse marriage rituals practiced by the Bugis Bone group are the consequence of the fusion of Islamic and customary law that has occurred throughout the course of the community's history. Because Islamic law, being the most essential component of Islamic teachings, cannot be divorced from society's norms, which have become living law. This fact also constitutes a scientific argument that refutes the receptie theory advanced by earlier experts. From the perspective of Islamic law, the marriage tradition of the Bugis Bone group revealed a harmonious combination of Islamic and customary law. Similarly, sociologically, this integration is able to create rules that control and help achieve harmony and mutual benefit.

Abstract

In shaping the character of Generation Z, parents play the role of a captain who will guide individuals through the right path. The example set by the life of the Prophet Muhammad serves as the primary foundation for teaching children not only through words but also through actions and real practices. The discussions in this article are quite interesting, considering the technological and cultural developments that have led to a decline in moral and ethical values among children. Therefore, it is necessary to understand hadiths on educating children to enhance the moral character of Generation Z. By using qualitative analysis methods and the ma’anil hadis formulated by Yusuf al-Qardhawi, sourced from books and journals, it is hoped to analyze how the values present in hadith can be translated into the situations and conditions of parents in facing the current Generation Z. The research results conclude that there are several ways to shape the morals of children, especially Generation Z, namely starting character formation from when the child is still in the womb and applying what the Prophet Muhammad taught in educating his children. It is hoped that this can assist parents in shaping the character of Generation Z.

Abstract

This article examines a number of prophetic traditions (hadiths) that are commonly categorized as misogynistic, namely those perceived as degrading women or reflecting gender bias. Through an analytical–critical approach combined with contextual and historical interpretation, this study demonstrates that misogynistic understandings do not originate from Islamic teachings, but rather from patriarchal cultural constructions, mythologies of female creation found in Judeo–Christian traditions, and religious interpretations that overlook the moral and social contexts of the hadiths. The analysis explores several key narrations, including the command for wives to obey their husbands, the creation of women from a rib, women as the majority inhabitants of Hell, and the issue of female leadership. Findings indicate that these hadiths contain ethical messages, relational values, and principles of mutual responsibility rather than serving as instruments of discrimination. Reception analysis further reveals that literal readings detached from context often give rise to gender bias. In essence, Islam elevates the dignity of women, granting them access to education, social participation, and self-actualization. This article emphasizes the importance of interpreting hadith comprehensively—integrating historical analysis, maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, and gender hermeneutics—so that Islamic teachings on justice, equality, and human dignity can be understood proportionally.

Abstract

Contemporary religious practices in Indonesia reveal that the prophetic prohibition against crying over the deceased is frequently interpreted in a strictly literal manner. Such an interpretation often restricts grieving families from expressing natural emotional responses, thereby generating psychological strain. This situation underscores an academic problem: a persistent disjunction between the textual formulation of the hadith and its practical reception within Muslim communities. This study therefore investigates two central questions: first, how Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī conceptualizes the meaning of the relevant hadiths; and second, how his explanation may inform or correct literalist tendencies in present-day Indonesian Muslim society. Employing a qualitative library research method, this study examines the pertinent narrations in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī alongside Ibn Ḥajar’s exegetical analysis in Fatḥ al-Bārī. The data were analyzed through systematic classification, interpretive reading, and thematic synthesis. The findings demonstrate that Ibn Ḥajar draws a clear distinction between natural, permissible expressions of grief and niyāhah, an exaggerated lamentation that implies objection to divine decree. He further asserts that the deceased is not punished for others’ crying unless such actions were previously sanctioned by the deceased. The study concludes that Ibn Ḥajar’s interpretive framework offers a balanced and context-sensitive understanding that can help recalibrate contemporary Muslim attitudes toward mourning practices. This highlights the importance of contextual hermeneutics in hadith interpretation.
