Abstract

Optimalisasi keberhasilan program Transfer Embrio (TE) dapat diupayakan dengan manajemen ternak donor dan resipien melalui rangkaian kegiatan primer; sehingga responsif terhadap perlakuan superovulasi dan dapat digunakan untuk TE. Menurut Tuti (1997) PGF2a dapat meningkatkan kualitas korpus luteum (CL) pada hewan yang mempunyai intensitas estrus rendah (83%), di bawah kondisi alamiah; Kualitas CL meningkat pada 14 dari 18 sapi (77%) yang memiliki kualitas CL kurang baik dibawah kondisi normalnya. Dengan demikian, deteksi kualitas CL tujuh hari setelah estrus disamping pengamatan intensitas estrus adalah penting untuk mempersiapkan resipien TE. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif diketahui bahwa respon sinkronisasi estrus dapat distimulasi dengan injeksi PGF2a satu kali, atau dua kali dengan interval 11 - 12 hari; Respon superovulasi adalah optimum jika dimulai pada hari ke-9 dengan injeksi tunggal PMSG, atau injeksi berulang maupun tunggal FSH selama empat hari berturut-turut hingga hari ke-12 dari siklus estrus sapi karena berlangsung di dalam stadium bifase. Pada stadium bifase biasanya tumbuh folikel-folikel dominan yang tidak pernah berovulasi sehingga akan berdegenerasi dan menjadi folikel-folikel atresi. Selanjutnya, inseminasi buatan (IB) dilakukan pada hari ke-14 dari siklus estrus, tanpa pengamatan estrus (jika injeksi PGF2a dua kali masing-masing satu dosis) dan dengan pengamatan estrus (jika injeksi PGF2a satu kali dengan satu dosis). Kata kunci : superovulasi dan TE, optimalisasi manajemen, sapi, donor, resipien Abstract Optimizing the success of the Embryo Transfer (ET) program can be pursued by managing donor and recipient livestock through a series of primary activities; so it will be responsive to superovulation treatment and can be used for ET. According to Tuti (1997) PGF2a could improve the quality of the corpus luteum (CL) in animals that have low estrus intensity (83%), under natural conditions; CL quality improved in 14 of the 18 cows (77%) that had poor CL quality under normal conditions. Thus, detection of CL quality seven days after estrus in addition to observing the intensity of estrus was important for preparing ET recipients. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, it is known that the estrus synchronization response can be stimulated by injection of PGF2a once, or twice with an interval of 11 - 12 days; The superovulatory response was optimum when started on day 9 with a single injection of PMSG, or repeated nor single injection of FSH during four consecutive days until day 12 of the bovine estrus cycle because it took place in the biphase stage. In the biphase stage, dominant follicles that never ovulate will usually degenerate and become atretic follicles. Furthermore, artificial insemination (AI) was performed on day 14 of the estrus cycle, without observation of estrus (if PGF2a injection was twice with one dose of each) and with observation of estrus (if PGF2a injection was once with one dose). Abstract

Analisis bibliometrik tentang penelitian perubahan iklim dalam produksi ternak menyoroti pentingnya memahami dampak perubahan iklim terhadap produksi ternak dan perlunya strategi adaptasi. Analisis mengkaji tren dan arah penelitian selama dua dekade terakhir dari tahun 2003 sampai 2022. Studi mengidentifikasi fokus penelitian, produktivitas publikasi, dan kesenjangan dalam penelitian. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah mencari artikel yang diekstraksi dan dibangun pada platform Scopus. Pencarian data diperoleh menggunakan program Harzing’s Publish or Perish (PoP).  Kata kunci yang digunakan adalah “climate change” OR “climate changes” AND “livestock production”. Hasil pencarian disimpan dalam format RIS/Refmanager dan format CVS, untuk selanjutnya dataset ditarik menggunakan program Mendeley Desktop, Excel, dan VOSviewer 1.6.19. untuk dianalisis. Hasil analisis bibliometrik pengaruh perubahan iklim terdapat produksi ternak didapatkan 973 artikel,  2.653 kata kunci yang membentuk 10 klaster tema artikel. “Climate Change” merupakan jurnal yang banyak mempublikasikan artikel perubahan iklim kaitannya dengan produksi ternak. Beberapa jurnal yang berpengaruh adalah "Climate Change," "Animals," "Animal Production Science," dan "Livestock Research for Rural Development." Artikel-artikel yang banyak disitasi membahas tentang metodologi penilaian dampak lingkungan, dampak perubahan iklim terhadap produksi ternak, dan adaptasi dan mitigasi terkait perubahan iklim. Penelitian tentang perubahan iklim dan produksi ternak, memunculkan novelty atau kebaruan untuk arah penelitian baru di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to empower the Suka Maju Fish Farming Group in Langgongsari Village, Banyumas Regency, through the utilization of industrial waste as an alternative feed ingredient and the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology for pond security systems. The partners consist of 30 members from a combination of three Pokdakan: Ulam Sari, Mina Mandala, and Mugi Barokah. The implementation method uses a mentoring and training approach including institutional strengthening, cultivation management training, industrial waste-based feed formulation, and the installation of IoT devices as a pond monitoring system. The results of the activities show an increase in the understanding and skills of partner members in tilapia cultivation techniques, the provision of seed through the mina padi system, and the ability to utilize industrial waste as an alternative feed. IoT technology also improves the security of the cultivation ponds. This program contributes to institutional strengthening, increased production capacity, and the cessation of freshwater fish farming businesses.

Abstract

Pengelolaan kualitas air merupakan tantangan utama dalam budidaya ikan air tawar, terutama pada pemeliharaan sistem intensif  dengan tingkat penebaran bibit padat maka sangat rentan mengalami penurunan kadar oksigen terlarut (DO). Kondisi ini dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan, pertumbuhan, dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan. Salah satu teknologi yang terbukti efektif untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah penggunaan kincir air sebagai aerator mekanis untuk meningkatkan DO dan sirkulasi air. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan Suka Maju di Desa Langgongsari, Kecamatan Cilongok, Kabupaten Banyumas melalui pelatihan, demonstrasi, dan pendampingan penggunaan kincir air. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan anggota kelompok dalam pengelolaan kincir air sebagai alat pendukung peningkatan kualitas air. Implementasi kincir air berdampak nyata terhadap peningkatan kadar DO, penurunan angka kematian ikan, serta peningkatan produktivitas kolam. Kegiatan ini menjadi model penerapan teknologi tepat guna di tingkat pembudidaya ikan rakyat untuk mendukung efisiensi dan keberlanjutan usaha budidaya ikan air tawar skala masyarakat.

Abstract

The research entitled "The Effect of Binahong Leaf Solution (Anredera cordifolia) in Drinking Water on the Appearance of Grower Phase Broiler Chickens" was carried out in the village of Sokaraja Kulon, Sokaraja District, Banyumas Regency. From September 2 to September 16, 2022. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving binahong leaf solution in drinking water on appearance, final body weight, and feed conversion for broiler chickens in the grower phase. he material used was 100 broiler chickens aged 15 days. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) in one direction with a treatment consisting of one control treatment and three different treatments. The treatments tried were: P0: 1 liter of drinking water without binahong leaf solution, P1: 100 ml of binahong leaf solution given 20 ml/liter of drinking water/day, P2: 200 ml of binahong leaf solution given 40 ml/liter of drinking water/day, P3: 300 ml of binahong leaf solution given 60 ml/liter of drinking water/day. he variables observed were final body weight and feed conversion. The results of statistical analysis showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the final weight and feed conversion of broiler chickens in the grower phase. The conclusion of the study was that the administration of binahong leaf solution at levels of 20, 40 and 60 ml/liter of drinking water/day had the same effect on final body weight and feed conversion for broiler chickens in the grower phase. Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul “Pengaruh Penambahan Ovalet Sebagai Bahan Baku Es Krim Terhadap Daya Leleh dan Overrun” dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Wijayakusuma Purwokerto pada tanggal 1 agustus sampai dengan 2 agustus 2024. Bahan – bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi 4000 ml susu sapi murni, 2000 gr susu skim bubuk, 2000 gr whipped cream, 1000 gr gula pasir dan 11 gr ovalet. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adaah experimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola searah. Penelitian ini terdiri dari empat perlakuan dan lima ulangan dengan jumlah unit percobaan adalah 20, dengan perlakuan meliputi P0 (adonan es krim tanpa penambahan ovalet), P1 (penambahan ovalet 0,50% dari total volume adonan es krim), P2 (penambahan ovalet 0,75% dari total volume adonan es krim), dan P3 (penambahan ovalet 1% dari totalvolume adonan es krim). Parameter yang diamati yaitu overrun dan daya leleh. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa overrun pada es krim dengan penambahan ovalet berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01), dan untuk daya leleh pada es krim dengan penambahan ovalet berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01). Kesimpulannya, semakin tinggi penambahan ovalet hingga 1%, maka overrun nya tinggi dan daya leleh nya lama.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding papaya leaf flour to the feed on feed consumption and feed conversion in 6-10 week old Manila ducks. This study used 40 male Manila ducks divided into 4 treatment groups with 5 replications, namely P0 (control), P1 (2% papaya leaf flour), P2 (4% papaya leaf flour), and P3 (6% papaya leaf flour). The research results indicate that the addition of papaya leaf flour does not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on feed consumption and feed conversion in Manila ducks. However, numerically, the highest feed consumption was found in P0 (657.30 grams/head/week) and the lowest feed conversion in P2 (4.33). It is recommended to use 4% papaya leaf meal in the Manila duck feed for feed efficiency

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the success rate of artificial insemination in cattle in Pagentan District, Banjarnegara Regency, and the success rate of farmers who performed artificial insemination. Because this area is one of the centers of beef cattle production in Banjarnegara Regency, it was deliberately chosen as the research location. The data collection technique used in this study was direct observation and interviews with farmers. The data obtained were calculated using the perception rate and service per perception formulas. According to the results of the study obtained in Pagentan District, most farmers were under 40 years old. While the level of education of the farmers was the highest, namely elementary school, with the main job mostly being being a farmer, The perception rate value obtained was 77.14% and was included in the high category because it exceeded the predetermined standard limit. While the service per conception value obtained was 1.29%, both of which indicate that the condition of livestock in Pagentan District is very good and has a high fertility rate, the birth interval value is not so long, which can affect the success rate of artificial insemination

Abstract

Abstract.The aim of research entitled "The Effect of Adding Red Guava Juice (Psidium guava L.) on the Taste and Aroma of Goat Milk Yoghurt" was to determine the effect of adding red guava juice (Psidium guava L.) on the taste and aroma of goat's milk yoghurt. This research used goat's milk, red guava and plain yoghurt. The experimental design used was an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with a unidirectional pattern with four types of treatment, namely P0 (control), P1 (addition of 5% red guava juice), P2 (addition of 10% red guava juice), P3 (addition of 10% red guava juice). addition of 15% red guava juice, each treatment with 5 repetitions. The parameters observed included taste and aroma using 25 semi-trained panelists. The results showed that the addition of red guava juice (Psidium guava L.) had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the taste and aroma of goat's milk yoghurt. Treatment P3 (15%) is the most popular taste and aroma assessment by panelists because red guava juice produces a quite sour taste and covers the typical aroma (prengus) of goat's milk

Abstract

The study entitled "The Effect of Adding Papaya Leaf Flour (Carica Papaya L) in Feed on the Percentage of Breast and Thigh Carcas of Manila Ducks" was to determine the effect of adding papaya leaf flour to feed on the percentage of breast and thigh carcas of Manila ducks. This study used 40 five-week-old Manila ducks. The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) One-Way Pattern with four types of treatments, namely PO (addition of 0% papaya leaf flour), P1 (addition of 2% papaya leaf flour), P2 (addition of 4% papaya leaf flour), and P3 (addition of 6% papaya leaf flour). Each treatment consisted of five replications. The parameters observed included the percentage of breast and thigh carcas of Manila ducks. The results showed that the average percentage of breast carcas of Manila ducks treated with P0; P1; P2; and P3 were 26.66; 28.11; 28.56; and 27.23 % respectively. The average percentage of thigh meat of Manila ducks treated with P0; P1; P2; and P3 was 25.82; 26.07; 27.36; and 26.19%, respectively. The highest percentage of breast and thigh carcas were obtained from Manila ducks treated with four percent papaya leaf flour (P2).
