Abstract

This study focused on to ecolinguistics study that talks about the language and ecology in the Silau Malela society. This study was to find out how the people who lived in Silau Malela, merged into the environment to keep the balance between human and their environment. Ecolinguistics is an interdisciplinary study between ecology or environment and language (linguistics) which is expressed by the human. So this study was not focused on ecology, but it discussed language in life. This study used qualitative research by doing observation and interviewing the people who lived in Silau Malela. This research describes the relationship between human and environmental communication. This society is so familiar with their environment and they also keep the situation so that they can communicate to the surroundings such as their cows, dogs, and others (the pets) and plantations when they do their activities with their pets and plantation. They also gave the name for their pets and sometimes to their plantation so that they understood the meaning of their owner when they were talking to their environment.

Abstract

Phrase structure rules express the basic structural facts of the language in the form of “phrase markers”. This study discussed about the noun phrase in Minangkabau Language. The aim of this study is to find out the noun phrases of Minangkabau Language and how the noun phrases are used in the language. The used method is qualitative research design by interviewing the native speakers of Minangkabau by using the depth interview. the participants are the people who lived in Sukaramai Districts. They were born in Pariaman Districts and they are educated people who understand about the phrase structure.The researcher described the finding data more details. In this study, there are six noun phrase forms in Minangkabau Language and there is one unique form. The noun phrases are implicated in the daily activity of society. In fact, there was a unique noun phrase in Minang Language namely: Noun Phrase (NP) is  N1 + sa + N2.

Abstract

Unique derivative affixes were focused on the morphosyntax process. This study was an interdisciplinary subject in linguistics. The affixations had a function as a form of word class or meaning. The affixations in Indonesian consconsist3 types, namely prefixes, suffixes, and confixes. This study explained the processes of the unique derivative affixes in the Batak Simalungun Language. The research method used the meant that this discussed the processes of morphology and then it was made in the sentences so that the morphological process was early and more completely in the linguistics. This study used the descriptive qualitative method by using the library (documents in the corpus) to interview a few native speakers who live in Batak Simalungun areas to get the data morals. Batak Simalungun Language affixes were prefixes, confixes, and suffixes. There were three prefixes : pa- , si-, ma- (mar), three confixes: par- (pa-)….-on, ha- ... -on/an, masi- . .. –an, and the last is only one suffix; -on. The derivative affixes in Batak Simalungun which the native speaker always expressed in the daily conversation, were so nwereral processes so t the other speakers did not realize that the word had got the affixations. There are two unique derivative affixiations on the suffix –on which had the passive meaning which had the prefix and the repetition prefix which the two first letters are repeated such as sapuh be sasapu. The position of affixation was a suffix, but the meaning was a prefix in passive voice meaning.

Abstract

The Housing and Settlement Office of Asahan Regency haven’t a system that can map the location of housing in the East Kisaran District, Asahan yet. The purpose of this study was to help the performance of the Asahan District Housing and Settlement Service and the community in obtaining information on the location of housing in East Kisaran District, Asahan. become faster, more efficient, and more complete in managing data in housing mapping digitally and online. This research method was carried out using qualitative research methods with stages consisting of observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. This system was designed with the PHP programming language based on Codeigneter, the database system uses MySQL, and Google Maps API which can mapping the location of housing in Kisaran Timur District, Asahan. The result of this study was a website-based geographic information system that allows the public to obtain the information they need about housing in the East Kisaran District, Asahan.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implemetation of Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DR-TA) in enhancing students’ reading comprehension at Muhammadiyah Senior High School in Kisaran in Academic Year 2016/2017. The process of DR-TA includes predicting, reading, and proving. This study focused on the quantitative research design by using the experimetal design. In this study, the research is done pre-test and post-test. As the theories of strategies guide in the process, the DRTA teaches students to determine the purpose for reading and make adjustments to what they think will come next based on the text. The findings of research show that the students’ reading comprehension has increased after applying Directed Reading Thinking Activity( DR-TA) when the experumental class students got the treatment in a few meetings. By using this strategy, the students can do the activity more actively and develope their prior knowledge of a topic/content of the text to be read, hypothesize about what might be addressed in the text, and establish meaningful purposes for reading the text.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah pula menyebabkan hubungan dunia menjadi tanpa batas (borderless) dan menyebabkan perubahan sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya secara signifikan berlangsung demikian cepat. Teknologi Informasi saat ini menjadi pedang bermata dua karena selain memberikan kontribusi bagi peningkatan kesejahteraan, kemajuan, dan peradaban manusia, sekaligus menjadi sarana efektif perbuatan melawan hukum. Perbuatan melawan hukum dengan berbagai modus yang menggunakan komputer dan jaringan komputer sebagai alat seperti prostitusi online, judi online, penipuan identitas, pornografi anak, pemerasan, peretasan, pencurian hak kekayaan intelektual dan masih banyak lagi kejahatan yang lain yang dapat merugikan baik secara materil maupun nonmateril bagi penggunanya dan dapat merusak tatanan kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Dengan maraknya tindak pidana kejahatan teknologi informasi tersebut, maka perlu diteliti mengenai Urgensi Perlindungan Hukum bagi Korban Tindak Pidana Kejahatan Teknologi Informasi. Spesifikasi penelitian merupakan penelitian hukum normatif. Penelitian hukum normatif yaitu penelitian hukum mempergunakan sumber data sekunder Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji  urgensi  undang - undang  cybercriem dalam sistem hukum  di Indonesia. Untuk mengkaji  perlindungan hukum bagi korban tindak pidana kejahatan teknologi informasi dalam UU ITE. Dan untuk mengkaji  pengaturan Tindak Pidana Kejahatan Teknologi Informasi.

Abstract

Audio-visual media is a method to produce or deliver the materials by using mechanical and electronic machines to present audio-visual messages. Teaching through audio visual media is clearly characterized by the use of hardware during learning such as television, tape recorder, and wide visual projector. In this English speaking learning using video media, infocus, and laptop. The material is given in the form of overall English. The researcher presented several films about English and the English Speaking Club for Students students were very passionate and responded positively so that they were able to speak in English by communicating entirely in English. They are also more interactive in speaking English. The students’ speaking ability got the progress so significant and can improve their speaking skill in English.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the result learn student during and to study process makes writing simple sentence through talking stick model. And students’ responses toward the use of talking stick model in learning English writing. This model is expected to overcome the problem that occurs in the field. The methodology of research is classroom action research (CAR). The object of the research is students’ SMK Negeri 1 Pulau Rakyat, class XI2, that amount of 30 students, academic year of 2019/2020. The classroom action research in planning, the researcher used first cycle and the second cycle. Afterwards enter cycle that first pursuant to sequence use some step that is planning, acting, observing, reflecting and the second cycle of the same steps with the first cycle. In analyzing the data the researcher used descriptive quantitative. The result of analysis assess at the first cycle showing result that the mean score 66.8, in addition, there were 6 students passed KKM in cycle I, after percent 20%. And  the second cycle showing result that mean score 86.0 in addition, there were 27 students passed KKM in cycle II, after percent 90%. In this research has KKM 75. The mentioned seen from efficacy indicator indicate that study process writing simple sentence through talking stick can mount result learn students, hence this research is expressed to succeed and discontinued at the second cycle, thereby can be expressed that improving the students’ writing simple sentence through talking model at grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1  Pulau Rakyat in academic year of 2019/2020, it is success

Abstract

Penelitian ini difokuskan terhadap keahlian berbicara para siswa M.Ts. Muhammadiyah kelas delapan karena penulis melihat bahwa kemampuan berbicara mereka masih terlalu rendah. role-play adalah sebuah kegiatan dalam kelas yang memberikan kesempatan kepada para siswa untuk mempraktekan bahasa tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan desain penelitian experimental yang memerlukan tes awal dan tes akhir untuk mengetahui perkembangan mereka dalam berbicara. Dalam experimental, ada kelas control (kelas biasa) dan kelas experimental. Penulis harus membuat perlakuan (treatment) untuk kelas experimental sehingga dapat dilihat perkembangannya setelah melakukan perlakuan (treatment) sebelum mengambil tes akhir (post-test). Dalam penemuan data, penulis telah mendapatkan nilai tes awal dari kelas control dan kelas experimental; nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol adalah 60 dan kelas experimental adalah 63,47. Nilai rata-rata tes akhir; kelas control 65,21 dan kelas experimental 81, 73. Dalam tes awal, nilai terendah baik kelas control maupun kelas experimental adalah 50 dan nilai paling tinggi adalah 80. Dalam tes akhir, nilai paling rendah adalah masih 50 dan paling tinggi adalah 80, tapi dalam kelas experimental, nilai paling rendah adalah 70 dan nlai paling tinggi adalah 90. Nilai dari t-test adalah 5,41 dan itu artinya bahwa 5,41 lebih besar dari 2,66. Akhirnya, tes tersebut lebih tinggi daripada t-table untuk kedua tingkat pengaruhnya. (5.41>2.00 and 5.41>2.66).

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the grab advertisement by searching the form of audiovisual. This analysis of this study used the semiotic approach which was focused on the nultimodals system which included the linguistic, the visual, the audio, the gesture, and the spatial aspects. In the linguistic and the visual aspect, it used the theory of Cheong (2004). The results of this study described that the five multimodal systems were integrated each other especially in the contrast of colour. It was related to the metafunctions of the language, the material process of experiential function was so dominant (75,86%), In the interpersonal functions, the declarative was so dominant in used. In the textual functions, the marked theme is also dominant because they used the spoken language. The gesture aspect was good because they did not speak too much, but there were a few statements on the poster of the announcement.
