Abstract

Lecturers are required to be able to analyze errors in working on the problem along with the causative factors. Through an analysis of errors in doing some exercises, it can be used as a basis in conducting the process of delivering material in the next learning. Through implementing true and mature concepts, students will not face difficulties in applying the material learned. Based on the observations, there are still many students who getdifficulties in doing the exercises of Education Statistics course. Besides, students of Universitas Terbuka in Kaliwungu 2017.2 are lack of learning outcomes in education statistics courses, 2). many students, but do notapply it in learning , 3). Many students do not pass the Education Statistics course. Based on these problems, it is necessary to conduct research related to the analysis of student’s errors and the causal factors in solving the Satistika Education problem. The purpose of this study is to find out the errors and causal factors in solving the questions in the Educational Statistics material. The subject of this research is UT students Semarang 2018.1 in Pokjar in Boja Subdistrict, Kendal Regency. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. Based on the analysis of student’s errors in the Education Statistics subject, conclusions are obtained 1). There are 4 student errors, namely: a). conceptual error, b). procedural error, c). Computation / calculation errors, and d).Errors in drawing conclusions; 2). The most mistakes of the students happened on procedural errors; 3). Abstract

The problems in this research are (1) the expository method used in learning processes becauses lack of motivation and activeness in students, (2) the students' understanding of mathematical concepts are low. This research is an R&D type research that aims to develop and aplly a valid and effectivekotakkatik media. Kotak-katik media uses the contextual approach with ADDIE development method and the TGT cooperative learning model. The population in this research consists of 8th grade students in JHS of Muhammadiyah 1 Kudus. The samples are obtained using purposive sampling. 85.5% validity rate is obtained, meaning that this media is very valid. Effectivity analysis shows that complete individual understanding of the concepts reaches the value of87.2667 and classical completion reaches the proportion of 86.6667%.Motivation and activeness are ability in understanding the mathematicalconcepts with effect percentage of 89,9%.  Application of this kotak-katiklearning media creates difference in the measure of mathematical concept understanding, in the experimental class is 87,2667 better than control class is 79.1333. Based on those results, therefore the development of kotak-katik media through contextual approach to mathematical concept understanding of straight-sided solid shapes is valid, effective, and suitable to use as a new variation in learning. Abstract

The establishment of a healthy ecosystem in the industrial revolution era 4.0 begins with the formation of millennial characters who are currently experiencing degradation. The tendency of basic mathematics learning that gives more attention to the cognitive aspects has an impact on the mindset that is formed, which is learning to get value, not learning to form characters that are ready to face the industrial era 4.0. The need to link learning with character values can be realized in the development of an integrated mathematics textbook of character education. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of integrated basic textbooks in character education. The research method used is research and development methods or Research and Development (R & D) with procedures in accordance with the development model of Borg & Gall. The results of the research shown in the design validation resulting in an average score of 3.13 including the valid criteria. So that the basic mathematics textbooks are integrated valid character education. Further research is needed in the trial class as the implementation of integrated basic textbooks on character education.Keywords : Borg & Gall, textbooks, character education

Abstract

The problem in this study is that students' mathematical communication skills are low because students are not accustomed to writing what was asked of the questions before completing them, so students often misinterpret them when faced with story problems. To overcome theseproblems by applying the Three Step Interview learning model with aneducational approach character. This study aims to determine theeffectiveness of the Three Step Interview learning model with a character education approach to the mathematical communication skills of class X students of SPLDV. This type of experimental research, the population of all class X students at MA Tajul Ulum 2018/2019. Sampling was purposive sampling. The study sample was X MIA I control class, X MIA 2 experimental class and X IIS trial class. The results of the study showed that students achieved complete mathematical communication skills individually: 84.40 and classical: 88.57%. The influence of confidence and communicative on mathematical communication skills is 58.5%, there is a difference in the average of the experimental class: 84.40 and control class: 72.35. It can be concluded that the Three Step Interview model with a character education approach to mathematical communication skills in SPLDV material is effective.Keywords: Three Step Interview, character education, mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

Nonparametric regression can be used when the relationship between the response variable and the predictor variables have an unknown pattern form the regression curve. One of the method that can be used to predictproductivity of the wetland paddy is a nonparametric regression kernel. In kernel regression, there are severaltypes of estimator that can be used to modelling productivity of wetland paddy in Central Java, one of which isNadaraya-Watson estimator. Variables used in the study of the productivity of rice as the response variable,while the predictor variables that harvested area, production and rainfall. Based on estimates indicate that thekernel nonparametric regression optimum bandwidth value 1.2 and GCV = 1.7577. Abstract

Aim of this study was to develop learning tools of mathematics by model of Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferrin (REACT) which was valid and practical. Learning tools developed include syllabi, lesson plan, Student Worksheet, and the student book. The development refers to the Plomp models of development model of learning device, which consists of five phases, namely the initial investigation phase, the design phase, the phase of realization, evaluation and revision of the test phase. The research instruments used in this study were the validation sheet of learning tools, questionnaire sheet of student responses to the learning implementation, and questionnaire sheet of teacher responses to the learning tools. Validator assessment results indicate that the learning tools developed were valid with an average value for validation of syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and the student book were 3.23 (good), 3.21 (good), 3.29 (very good), and 3.39 (very good), respectively. Field trials showed that the application of the learning tools developed was practical. A total of 82.40% of students responded positiv to the application of the learning tool in class, while the teacher assess that learning tool that is used with a value of 4.29 (good criteria)Keywords: React, lerning tool, mathematical connection, three-dimensional

Abstract

This research to determine the effectiveness of the application of learning model of Change of Pairs Based on Character Education. This research is an experimental research. The sampling technique used Purposive Sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used are the test of completeness, influence test, and test the average difference. The results of this study indicate that: (1)The ability to understand the concept of achieving KKM with an average value of 84.6429 and the percentage of completeness is 82.1429%. (2)There is influence of motivation and honesty to ability understanding of concept equal to 81%. (3) There is an average difference between the experimental class and the control class with an average rating of 84.6429 and 70.0729. So it can be concluded that the application of Change of Pairs learning model based on character education on the ability to comprehend the concept of mathematical material of effective logic. Abstract

Basic mathematics courses are one of the subjects taught in non-mathematics courses or majors where the majority of students tend to avoid math. Mathematical problem solving skills of non-math students tend to be low. Though problem-solving ability is the main reason to learn math. So it is necessary to improve learning with lesson study through the application of problem based learning with character education approach. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method of analysis. The conclusion of this study is the implementation of lesson study through the application of PBL learning with character education approach is in accordance with the stages of the lesson study, namely planning (plan), implementation (do), and reflection (see). These three stages can improve students' mathematical problem solving skills in basic mathematics courses. Abstract

Students often have math anxiety which results in low learning outcomes. Giving story questions turned out to raise student’s difficulties in solving problems, including identif ying elements that are known, asked, andadequacy of elements, and making mathematical models of story problems. This indicates that the problemsolving ability of non-mathematics major students in basic mathematics courses is low. Lesson Study Learning based on character education can facilitate the acquisition of solutions to the above problems. The most important stages in lesson study are stages of reflection (see), in which the stages are stated all findings in learning are then given input in order to improve learning. This study uses the descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The activity carried out is to describe the reflection of basic mathematics learning as the final stage of the lesson study implementation. The research variable is in the form of a dependent variable, such as students' problem solving abilities and independent variables, namely student activity and creativity. It was obtained an average problem solving ability of 81.52. While the students’ activeness with an average of 8 3.4 categories is very active and the average of students’ creativity is 81.3 with a very good category. The character building for students, such as honesty, discipline, creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm, responsibility, tolerance, hard work, democratic, friendly / communicative, independent, religious, caring for the environment, and socially concerned. Hopefully, further research can be carried out to improve abilities understanding’s student concepts in basic mathematics subjects.Keywords: lesson study, reflection, basic mathematics

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of Teaching Model Type Assisted Individualization Model with Problem Based Learning approach toimproving the problem solving skills of students in the class of flat VII buildingmaterials. This research is an experimental research. The sample in thisresearch is VII E (experiment) and VII F (control). The results showed that: (1)learners using learning model Team Assisted Individualization Type WithProblem Based Learning Approach achieved mastery of 80.55% more than75% with complete criterion 75, (2) test results influence motivation andresponsibility to the ability of problem solving has a great influence of 84.4%,(3) the difference test results show the difference of the average value of theexperimental class problem solving ability of 78.28 is better than the controlclass of 68.90, (4) the improvement test results show the problem solving abilityof the class experiments increased with a gain value of 0.618 in the mediumcategory. Based on these four things, it shows that the learning model of TeamAssisted Individualization Type with Problem Based Learning Approach toImproving Student Problem-solving Ability of Class VII Building MaterialDeveloping Material is effective.Keywords: Team Assisted Individualization, Problem Based Learning, ProblemSolving
