Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of conventional learning. Besides, student learning motivation is still low due to student activities that are less centered on making workpieces that are suitable for work in the industry. Learning outcomes show that only 55.88% of students reach Minimum Completeness Criteria (Kriteria Ketuntasan minimum or KKM). The design and learning of productive machining competencies that are in accordance with the needs of the industry influence students' experience and learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the results of industrial project-based learning (InPro-BL) milling machine competency learning outcomes in SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. The method used in this study is Class Action Research (CAR) through four stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation of actions, (3) observation and evaluation, (4) reflection. The samples were 34 students of class XII of Mechanical Engineering. The data were collected using product assessment instruments to measure dimensional accuracy, timeliness, level of disability, level of smoothness, and work attitude. This study was descriptive quantitative, and qualitative. The results of the study show that InPro-BL is effective in improving the learning outcomes of milling machine competencies. In Cycle I,  there is an increase in learning outcomes, from 19 students who completed the KKM to 25 students or 73.52%. In Cycle II, there are 88.23% of students passed the KKM. These results can be improved by paying attention to the management of learning time through the block system, teacher's understanding of industrial-project-based learning, and industry guest teachers mentoring every learning process.

Abstract

The body electricity course is a compulsory subject so it is necessary to innovate teaching materials to achieve learning goals. This study aims to (1) determine the validity of interactive textbooks based on qr code and short links in body electricity courses, (2) find out the practicality of using interactive textbooks based on QR code and short links in body electricity courses, and (3) find out the effectiveness of interactive textbooks based on QR codes and short links in body electricity courses. This research is R&D. The model used is 4D but only the define, design, and develop stages are carried out. The questionnaire uses 7 Likert scales. The research instrument proved its validity and reliability. The results of this study indicate that (1) interactive textbooks based on QR code and short links in body electricity courses from material experts while media experts are very valid at 94.63% and 95.39%, (2) interactive textbooks interactive textbooks based on QR code and short links in body electricity courses are very practical by 86.61%, and (3) interactive textbooks based on QR code and short links on body electricity courses are very effective by 86.43%. Based on the results of this study, it can be interpreted that the textbooks developed are feasible to be implemented in learning and disseminated.

Abstract

The laboratory is a means of student learning in improving competence. Competence is one of the important elements in determining the quality of human resources, especially in facing challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which relies entirely on technology and speed. This study aims to design a production line-based Pneumatic Hydraulic Laboratory to improve the automation skills of students majoring in mechanical engineering in the industrial era 4.0. The method in this study uses descriptive quantitative research. Collecting data through observation, design, pretest and posttest. The analysis uses descriptive statistics to describe the results of improving student skills. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that a production line-based laboratory layout design is indispensable in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The planned production design in the study is an automation system for drilling, pressing, conveyor, pick and place robots with PLC and HMI, the application of layout design can increase the average value of automation knowledge and skills (programming and automation simulation). The increase in the average value of knowledge is 22.72%. Meanwhile, the increase in automation competence was 29.23%.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKota Pekalongan terletak di pantai utara Jawa Tengah dimana wilayah pesisir utara ini terdapat potensi yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi aset yang berharga bagi bangsa yaitu para pembuat kapal tradisional. Dalam pelaksanaannya, baik tipe ataupun bentuk kapal yang dibangun, berdasarkan pengalaman kapal-kapal yang pernah dibuat sebelumnya, tanpa melalui perhitungan dan penggambaran terlebih dahulu, sehingga dalam beberapa kasus terhadap pesanan kapal yang berbeda bentuknya, maka pengrajin ini akan mengalami kesulitan. Minimnya pengetahuan tentang gambar teknik juga menyebabkan para pengrajin kapal tradisional tidak dapat menggambar lambung kapal mereka. Hal ini menyebabkan perlunya sosialisasi mengenai teknologi perkapalan kepada pengrajin kapal di Kota Pekalongan terutama dibidang rancang bangun (design) dan konstruksi kapal agar terdapat standar baku mengenai konstruksi kapal kayu yang sesuai dengan standar yang ada seperti Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI). Pelatihan dilakukan dengan metode presentasi, demonstrasi, serta praktik langsung. Untuk mengukur pencapaian maka dilakukan pretest dan posttest yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta pelatihan desain kapal. Sebelum dilakukan pelatihan, rata-rata pengetahuan peserta sebesar 26% dalam memahami desain kapal dan 33% dalam memahami analisa tahanan kapal, kemudian mengalami peningkatan menjadi rata-rata sebesar 76% untuk pemahaman desain kapal dan 77% untuk analisa tahanan kapal setelah diberi pelatihan. Kata kunci: desain; pengrajin; kapal kayu; karakteristik kapal ABSTRACTThe city of Pekalongan is located on the north coast of Central Java where there is potential for this northern coastal region to be developed into a valuable asset for the nation, namely traditional shipbuilders. In practice, both the type and shape of the ship built, based on the experience of ships that have been made before, without going through calculations and drawings beforehand, so that in some cases orders for ships with different shapes, these craftsmen will experience difficulties. The lack of knowledge about technical drawings also causes traditional shipbuilders to be unable to draw their hulls. This causes the need for socialization regarding shipping technology to ship craftsmen in Pekalongan City, especially in the field of ship design and construction so that there are standard standards regarding wooden ship construction in accordance with existing standards such as the Indonesian Classification Bureau (BKI). The training is carried out using presentation methods, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. To measure achievement, a questionnaire was filled out before and after the training. The results of the questionnaire showed an increase in the knowledge of ship design training participants. Before the training, the average knowledge of the participants was 26% in understanding ship design and 33% in understanding ship resistance analysis, then increased to an average of 76% for understanding ship design and 77% for ship resistance analysis after being given training. Keywords: design; craftsmen; wooden ships; ship characteristics

Abstract

In the manufacturing sector, a large number of machines today use automation technologies. Production will grow and speed up thanks to automation technologies, which includes using rotogravure machines. A machine using a printing technique known as a rotogravure machine is frequently used to print packaging on materials like paper or plastic. No one presently makes fully automatic rotogravure machines in Indonesia. Tension control is one of the automation systems of a rotogravure machine. In this research, tension control, kinds of tension control, and the building of a rotogravure machine tension control system are all topics that will be covered. It uses a descriptive qualitative approach. employing a literature review to gather data and descriptive statistics to analyze it. The study's findings demonstrate that the rotogravure machine is a fast printing device that uses substrates like paper, aluminum, and plastic. The printing procedure begins with the unwinding roll, moves to the infeed, and then continues with the first and second color printing processes, moving as necessary to the outfeed and rewinding roll using a tension control mechanism. The roller-to-roll mechanism used by the machine allows for the tension management because the printed material is subjected to varying strains that must be managed. A rotogravure machine can use four different forms of tension management, specifically speed control for unwinding and rewinding, speed control for unwinding and torque control for rewinding, and speed control for unwinding and rewinding. the creation of a tension control system for a rotogravure machine using the machine's main controller, a PLC and an HMI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar elektronik yang berbasis Team Based Project Learning bermuatan multimedia yang layak dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Aplikasi yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar elektronik tersebut adalah Flipbuilder. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan metode ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Setelah bahan ajar elektronik tersebut disusun, selanjutnya dilakukan uji kelayakan dengan validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji coba terbatas terhadap mahasiswa. Setelah dinilai layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran, selanjutnya akan diukur efektifitas penggunaannya melalui tes yang dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa yang menerima atau menggunakan bahan ajar elektronik hasil pengembangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar elektronik berbasis teambased project bermuatan multimedia pada kompetensi membubut ulir telah dilaksanakan dengan baik. Hasil revisi dari para ahli telah diaplikasikan ke dalam bahan ajar elektronik yang dibuat sehingga dapat digunakan dengan baik oleh mahasiswa. Selain itu bahan ajar elektronik juga terbukti sangat efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil perhitungan N-gain yang memperoleh nilai 0,72 atau berada pada kriteria tinggi/ sangat efektif.
