Abstract

Transportasi merupakan kebutuhan setiap manusia untuk menunjang pekerjaannya. Saat ini kendaraan ramah lingkungan yang banyak dikembangkan adalah kendaraan listrik. Kendaraan listrik dianggap bebas emisi dan dapat mempengaruhi kondisi lingkungan. Salah satu komponen penting pada kendaraan listrik adalah chassis. Untuk itu, diperlukan desain chassis yang tepat agar keamanan dan kenyamanan kendaraan terjamin. Dalam perkembangan kendaraan listrik, model penggerak motor listrik langsung ditempatkan pada roda atau yang sering disebut dengan in-wheel. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendesain chassis pada kendaraan listrik tipe in-wheel, (2) Menganalisis tegangan von mises dari desain chassis kendaraan listrik tipe in-wheel, (3) Menganalisis safety factor pada kendaraan listrik ramah lingkungan tipe in-wheel. Metode penelitian menggunakan simulasi. Simulasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan software Autodesk Inventor. Material yang digunakan yaitu baja AISI 1018 HR. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan telah dihasilkan desain chassis untuk kendaraan listrik 6 orang penumpang. Tegangan von mises pada chassis minimum sebesar 0 dan maksimal 20,33 MPa, displacement minimum sebesar 0 dan maksimum sebesar 0,22, serta nilai safety factor minimum sebesar 12,3 dan maksimum sebesar 15. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian desain chassis yang telah dibuat dikategorikan aman secara teknis.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan produktifitas yang muncul dari mitra usaha UKM Brambang Goreng Berkah Arsetyaji di Kelurahan Mlatiharjo Semarang. Mitra usaha yang akan menjadi sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mitra usaha kecil yang memproduksi olahan makanan bawang merah goreng. Mitra usaha mempunyai permasalahan proses produksi yaitu pemotongan/pengirisan bawang merah yang membutuhkan waktu lama dan ukuran ketebalan yang tidak seragam. Luaran yang akan dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah menerapkan alat teknologi tepat guna mesin pengiris bawang merah yang lebih efisien dengan konsumsi daya yang sesuai dengan pasokan listrik rumah tangga 200 Watt, sehingga nantinya hasil proses produksi meningkat baik dari segi kualitas maupun kuantitas produk olahan. Hasil kegiatan diharapkan mitra usaha mampu meningkatkan kuantitas maupun kualitas dari produk hasil olahan bawang merah goreng. Dengan meningkatnya kuantitas maupun kualitas produk dari usaha kecil tersebut, secara tidak langsung mampu meningkatkan produksi sekaligus meningkakan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan bagi mitra usaha bawang merah goreng.

Abstract

AbstrakIkan bandeng telah menjadi produk ciri khas dan identitas tersendiri bagi Kota Semarang. Ikan bandeng dapat diolah menjadi berbagai macam diversifikasi produk yang ada dengan tingkat nutisi tinggi, utamanya kandungan Omega 3. Suatu model pendekatan yang humanis berbasis kuliner tersebut dikenal dengan gastrodiplomasi. Model gastrodiplomasi ini sangatlah cocok sebagai upaya penguatan sektor UMKM Kota Semarang di pasar global salah satunya pada sentra bandeng di Kelurahan Tambakrejo, Gayamsari. Mitra pengabdian ini adalah Kelompok Pengolah dan Pemasar (POKLAHSAR) Global Milkfish. Adapun permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah pada aspek pemasaran dan aspek produksi. Pada aspek pemasaran, mitra terkendala terbatasnya cakupan area pemasaran, perizinan usaha, desain kemasan kurang diminati konsumen dan belum ada legalitas usaha yang lengkap. Pada aspek produksi, permasalahannya adalah mitra belum menggunakan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) yang optimal. Disamping itu, diversifikasi produk bandeng yang masih terbatas dan minim. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mampu meningkatkan nilai tambah, nilai ekonomis dan keunggulan kompetitif dari potensi daerah yaitu ikan bandeng di Kota Semarang sehingga mampu memberikan multiplier effect optimal bagi semua pihak. Metode pengabdian adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi serta keberlanjutan program. Hasil pelaksanaan pengabdian adalah dengan diberikannya TTG berupa alat panci presto kapasitas 50kg, redesign paket kemasan produk, pelatihan diversifikasi produk dan pelatihan digital marketing. Kata kunci: diversifikasi produk; gastrodiplomasi; ikan bandeng; teknologi tepat guna; UMKM. AbstractMilkfish has become a signature product and identity for the city of Semarang. Milkfish can be processed into various diversified products with high nutritional content, especially Omega 3 content. A humanistic approach model based on culinary is known as gastrodiplomacy. This gastrodiplomacy model is very suitable as an effort to strengthen the MSME sector of Semarang City in the global market, one of which is in the milkfish center in Tambakrejo Village, Gayamsari. The partner for this service is the Global Milkfish Processing and Marketing Group (POKLAHSAR). The main problems faced by partners are in the marketing and production aspects. In the marketing aspect, partners are constrained by the limited scope of the marketing area, business licensing, packaging design is less popular with consumers and there is no complete business legality. In the production aspect, the problem is that partners have not used optimal Appropriate Technology (TTG). In addition, the diversification of milkfish products is still limited and minimal. The purpose of implementing this community service activity is to be able to increase the added value, economic value and competitive advantage of regional potential, namely milkfish in Semarang City so that it can provide an optimal multiplier effect for all parties. The community service method is socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring and evaluation and program sustainability. The results of the community service implementation are the provision of TTG in the form of a 50kg pressure cooker, redesign of product packaging packages, product diversification training and digital marketing training. Keywords: product diversification; gastrodiplomacy; milkfish; appropriate technology; MSMEs.

Abstract

Abstrak Kemampuan menggambar teknik merupakan salah satu keterampilan yang perlu dikuasai oleh guru teknik pemesinan, dimana saat ini aplikasi Autodesk Inventor merupakan salah satu aplikasi yang digunakan oleh dunia Pendidikan, bahkan dalam lomba kompetensi siswa. SMK Negeri 10 Semarang saat ini dalam proses pembelajaran masih menggunakan aplikasi Autocad, hal ini menjadi perhatian dikarenakan perbedaan penggunaan aplikasi pada umumnya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru teknik mesin dalam menggambar menggunakan aplikasi  dengan memberikan pelatihan sehingga dapat mengikuti perkembangan saat ini. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan participatory learning and action dimana proses pembelajaran yang memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang aplikasi Autodesk inventor yang kemudian praktik langsung menggunakannya, antara lain mulai dari persiapan, pelaksanaann, dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 16 guru produktif teknik pemesinan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini guru dapat meningkatkan kompetensi menggambar berbasis komputer dan juga guru dapat memberikan pembelajaran kepada siswa, yang mana berdasarkan hasil dari rata-rata pre test sebelum pelatihan dilaksanakan mendapatkan 60,83 sedangkan ketika dilakukan postest setelah pelaksanaan pelatihan didapatkan skor rata-rata nilai 81,88, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemahaman peserta meningkat 25,7%. Kata kunci: drafter enginering; CAD; inventor AbstractTechnical drawing skills are essential for machining engineering teachers, as they are expected to master industry-relevant tools. Currently, Autodesk Inventor is one of the widely adopted applications in education and is even used in student competency competitions. However, SMK Negeri 10 Semarang still uses AutoCAD in its learning process, which raises concerns due to the differing standards in software usage. This community service program aims to enhance the competency of machining teachers in technical drawing using Autodesk Inventor by providing targeted training to help them adapt to current developments. The implementation method follows a Participatory Learning and Action approach, in which participants gain theoretical knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and then engage in practical applications—including preparation, execution, and evaluation phases. The program involved 16 productive machining teachers. The results show that teachers improved their computer-aided drawing skills and were better equipped to deliver related instruction to students. Based on the assessment, the average pre-test score was 60.83, while the post-test score increased to 81.88, indicating a 25.7% improvement in participants’ understanding Keywords: drafter enginering; CAD; inventor

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Android-based learning media in the form of a welding simulation application to support practical learning in Vocational High Schools (SMK). The background of this research is limited practical facilities, limited learning time, and low student engagement in direct welding practice. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The application was developed and validated by four experts, consisting of two material experts and two media experts. The validation results by the material experts showed a feasibility level of 87.25%, categorized as "very feasible," while the validation results by the media experts obtained a score of 90.27%, categorized as "very feasible." Field trials were conducted on 24 eleventh-grade students at a vocational high school, and student responses showed a feasibility level of 89.41%. This application has been proven to improve understanding of basic welding concepts and skills independently and is an effective alternative to overcome the limitations of physical practice at school. This media is deemed feasible and has the potential for further development on other platforms as a technology-based vocational learning solution.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive PowerPoint-based learning media for Engineering Drawing, specifically the topic of American Projections, and to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of this media in improving student learning outcomes. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The developed learning media was validated by material experts and media experts, with an assessment of 84% from the material experts (very feasible category) and 75% from the media experts (feasible category). The trial was conducted in class X of Mechanical Drawing at a Vocational High School (SMK), which showed an increase in the average score of student learning outcomes, from 51.67 (pre-test) to 86.67 (post-test). The results of the effectiveness analysis using the N-Gain formula showed a score of 0.71 or 71.46%, which is included in the moderately effective category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed interactive PowerPoint-based learning media is feasible and effective for use in Engineering Drawing learning, specifically for the topic of American Projections. This media also has the potential to increase student engagement and learning outcomes interactively at vocational high schools.

Abstract

Syntactic foam is a lightweight, high‑strength composite consisting of a polymer matrix filled with hollow microspheres (microballoons). This study examines how the volume fraction of glass‑clad silica microballoons K15 (10–50 vol %) affects the density, porosity, and void distribution of epoxy‑bonded syntactic foams. Specimens were molded in accordance with ASTM D790, conditioned for 48 h (23 ± 2 °C; 50  ±  5 % RH), and their density was measured by the pycnometric method specified in ASTM D792. Porosity was calculated theoretically and validated by SEM–EDS imaging of fracture cross‑sections. Results show a linear decrease in density from 1.15 g cm⁻³ (0 vol %) to 0.63 g cm⁻³ (50 vol %), while porosity rises exponentially from 2.7 % to 18.4 %. Morphological analysis confirms a homogeneous microballoon dispersion up to 30 vol %, but agglomeration and interbinder voids appear above 40 vol %, leading to uncontrolled porosity. A strong negative correlation (R² = 0.96) is observed between density and effective porosity. A 30 vol % K15 loading is identified as the optimum, achieving a 28 % density reduction without a significant porosity spike. These findings provide a basis for designing sandwich cores and amphibious flotation structures that require high strength‑to‑weight ratios.

Abstract

The aim of this design is to obtain a design for the tension control system and the automatic system, which are the two mechanisms in the unwind, accompanied by an estimate of the design costs. The design process was carried out using the French method. This method is often used for new products or still has few competitors, with the advantage of being able to facilitate the selection of product concept variants efficiently when designing products that have many limitations in terms of variants. Based on the validation results, the second concept design used is a tension measurement mechanism using a load cell and speed regulation using a magnetic powder brake. The results of numerical calculations show that the maximum rotation torque value of the printed material is 13.6 Nm, the maximum speed is 628.24 rpm, and the maximum stress value measured is 206.122 N. Based on the validation results, the second concept design is a movement mechanism that uses four pneumatic cylinders to move the frame and cutter. The results of numerical calculations show that the time required to cut the material is 0.24 seconds, and the time required to return to its original position is 2.25 seconds. The amount of air required for one cutting cycle is 37.83 ×10-6 m3/s. The estimated cost of designing the overall unwind unit based on the components used is IDR. 74,873,625.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) Analyzing the effect of sterilization temperature and time on protein content in soft spiny milkfish, 2) Analyzing the effect of sterilization temperature and time on the bacterial content in soft spiny milkfish, and 3) Knowing the ideal temperature and time in the milkfish sterilization process soft spines. There are various types of diversification of processed milkfish, including processing it into presto milkfish. The shelf life of pressure-cooked milkfish can be increased by sterilization using a high-pressure pressure cooker using a retort tool. In this study, the sterilization process used a combination of temperatures of 110°C, 121°C, 130°C, and times of 10, 20, and 30 minutes. The research method uses an experimental approach. The research location is CV Sekar Tekno, Semarang. The data collection technique uses observation, which is carried out by systematically observing and recording the symptoms being investigated. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and analysis of variance/ANOVA. The results of the research showed that the effect of temperature and time on the sterilization process of soft spiny milkfish did not have a significant effect on the protein content of soft spiny milkfish. Although the protein content of soft spiny milkfish experienced changes up and down during the sterilization process, the protein content did not decrease significantly. The effect of high temperature in the sterilization process of soft spiny milkfish has a significant effect on the number of bacteria present in soft spiny milkfish after the sterilization process. This is indicated by the phenomenon of a constant decrease/value of bacterial content as shown in the following data: temperature 110°C is 148.44 CFU/g, temperature 121°C is 86.78 CFU/g, and temperature 130°C is 25.44 CFU/g. On the other hand, the effect of long sterilization time on the bacterial content of soft spiny milkfish tends to show an up-and-down phenomenon. This is indicated by an increasing trend in the number of bacteria at 30 minutes, which was 125 CFU/g. This phenomenon is caused by a leak in the retort pack used for soft spiny milkfish and other causes that are not yet known for certain in this process. Based on the results of the effect of temperature and time on protein levels and bacterial content, it shows that a temperature of 130°C has a high protein content of 16.6% with the lowest bacterial content, namely 45 CFU/g. At 20 minutes, it had a high protein content of 14.296% with the lowest bacterial content, namely 32.67 CFU/g. So the ideal temperature and time for the sterilization process of soft spiny milkfish is 130°C and 20 minutes

Abstract

Autodesk Inventor software learning in manufacturing drawing subjects in vocational schools requires the support of interactive visual-based media to make complex technical materials easier for students to understand. The weakness of conventional methods in conveying this concept requires a breakthrough through the use of modern learning technology. This study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of using PowerPoint-based multimedia to improve students' mastery of Autodesk Inventor. The research design used the purposive sampling method with pre-test and post-test models in two groups involving 60 students in grade XI of Mechanical Engineering at SMK Negeri 5 Semarang. The experimental group made use of interactive PowerPoint media, while the control group continued to use traditional methods. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group with a p< value of 0.05 and an N-Gain value of 0.499 much higher than the control group with only 0.148. Thus, the use of interactive PowerPoint has proven to be effective in strengthening students' understanding of assembly engineering materials in a more interesting, flexible, and appropriate way for learning needs.
