Abstract

 Learning Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming is influenced by several factors, that is: lecturer competence in PLC programming, adequacy of information technology infrastructure in learning, availability of learning media, vocational guidance procedures, and learning motivation. The purpose of this study: (a) to describe the factors that contribute to PLC programming learning, (b) to formulate a PLC programming competency model, and (c) to examine the determinants of PLC programming learning. Model testing method using Path Analysis.  The results of this analysis are expected to be able to describe the relational patterns between variables in learning PLC programming, as well as the direct and indirect impacts on the mastery of PLC programming competencies.  Keywords: PLC programming competency, path analysis, vocational education.

Abstract

Burung walet merupakan burung pemakan serangga dengan sayap meruncing, memiliki ekor panjang, berwarna hitam dan tubuh bawahnya berwarna coklat. Hal yang sangat bermanfaat dari burung walet yaitu sarangnya dapat menjadi obat-obatan bagi manusia. Burung walet berkembang biak di daerah yang beriklim tropis dengan curah hujan yang tinggi. Unsur kelembaban dan suhu adalah faktor berkembang biaknya spesies atau populasi burung walet. Penelitian ini merupakan perancangan embedded system untuk kendali rumah burung walet adaptif berbasis ATmega8. Proses perancangan sistem dilakukan dengan menganalisis kebutuhan di lapangan, membuat desain, mengembangkan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Sistem yang dikembangkan menggunakan mikrokontroler ATMega8, sensor DHT11, Real Time Clock (RTC), modul audio, humidifier sebagai pelembab ruangan, mini fan untuk sirkulasi udara, dan LED untuk mencegah hama predator. ATmega8 dipilih karena bentuk yang minimalis dan biaya yang rendah sehingga lebih prospek untuk proksi massal.  Pada pengujian, hampir seluruh kompetensi penilaian berhasil tercapai, kecuali pada peltier kit. Secara keseluruhan, sistem dapat beroperasi otomatis sesuai yang diinginkan dan berfungsi dengan baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Flipbook, (2) menguji kinerja media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Flipbook. (3) mengukur tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Flipbook pada mata pelajaran dasar-dasar teknik elektronika Kelas X Teknik Elektronika SMK Negeri 1 Giritontro. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyzis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluate). Pengumpulan  data  dilakukan  dengan  menggunakan angket. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 35 siswa kelas X Teknik Elektronika SMKN 1 Giritontro. Produk penelitian divalidasi oleh validator materi dan validator media. Teknik analisis data menggunakan diskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan: (1) Media pembelajaran interaktif Berbasis Flip Book, (2) Media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan dapat berfungsi dengan baik, (3) Media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Flip Book mendapatkan persentase kelayakan ahli materi I sebesar 83%, ahli materi II sebesar 78%, Ahli media 97% dan pengguna 86% sehingga media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis flipbook masuk kategori sangat layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran dasar-dasar Teknik elektronika klas X di SMKN 1 Giritontro.

Abstract

According to the Central Statistics Agency, the high unemployment rate among vocational school graduates is caused by the mismatch between their technical competencies and professional character with industry needs. Vocational schools aim to prepare graduates with excellent skills and character for the business and industrial world. This study aims to create a teaching factory learning model at SMK 1 Perguruan Cikini using the Research and development method with the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The study resulted in a 4P+QD teaching factory model, which consisted of divisions such as project sales, PPIC, production, purchasing, quality control, delivery, and after-sales. The model was validated by two expert lecturers, resulting in an average score of 3.54 (“Very Valid”). Evaluations by two productive subject teachers yielded a score of 3.71 (“Very Valid”), while assessments from the teaching factory coordinator and industry practitioners resulted in a score of 3.33 (“Valid”). The model was also tested on students, who evaluated the development of character traits such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, adaptability, and creativity, with an average score of 3.47 (“Valid”). This learning model can serve as a reference for vocational high schools (SMK) seeking to implement production unit-based or teaching factory learning processes.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the readiness of electronics engineering laboratories in Vocational High Schools (SMK) of Sidoarjo Regency in facing the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The evaluation focused on four main aspects: laboratory planning, equipment availability, maintenance and management systems, and the competence of laboratory personnel. This study used a descriptive method with a mixed-method approach, involving six vocational schools and respondents from productive teachers, vice principals in the field of infrastructure, and laboratories. Data was obtained through questionnaires, observations, documentation, and in-depth interviews, then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the average equipment readiness rate was in the "underprepared" category (54.1%), while most schools did not have certified laboratories. Laboratory management is generally still partial and is not systematic, although the usefulness of the laboratory is highly related on by teachers with an average score of 54.4 out of 64. These findings indicated a gap between the availability of facilities, human resource competencies, and the demands of industry-based vocational learning 4.0. The limitations of this study lie in the limited scope of the area and it has not measured the direct impact on student learning outcomes. The practical implications of this study included the importance of strengthening collaboration among schools, industry, and the government in laboratory planning, improving practice facilities, and training and certification of laboratory personnel. Socially, laboratory modernization is an important foundation in producing adaptive and competitive vocational graduates. This study makes an original contribution to mapping the systemic readiness of vocational laboratories in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share learning method in improving student learning outcomes in the fundamental computer networking subject at SMK Negeri 2 Depok Sleman. Initial observations revealed challenges in maintaining student interest and active participation, prompting the testing of the Think Pair Share method as a potential solution. Using a quantitative approach, this research involved 72 10th-grade students from the network and application department, divided into experimental and control groups. Data was collected through observations, documentation, and learning outcome tests, then analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results showed a significant difference between the Think Pair Share method and conventional learning, with average learning outcomes of 83.28 for the experimental class and 79.11 for the control class. Statistical analysis yielded a t-count value of 2.251 > t-table 2.032, confirming the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share method in improving student learning outcomes in this subject.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) Develop an Admin Module on the Website of the Communication and Information Office of Bogor Municipality. (2) Knowing the Quality of the Admin Module on the Website of the Communication and Information Office of Bogor Municipality using ISO 25010 testing with functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, and maintainability characteristics. Development research uses development with the Agile Modeling method which has several stages including the requirements stage, design stage, development stage, testing stage, and review stage. The resulting product is the Admin Module on the Website of the Communication and Information Office of Bogor Municipality based on the website. Tests carried out using ISO 25010 testing with functional suitability characteristics using the Expert Validation Test by in the field of development or software, performance efficiency tested using the GTMetrix application, usability tested by respondents from the Communication and Informatics Office of Bogor Municipality, reliability using WAPT Pro 5.1 software, and maintainability using PHPMetrics software.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the conception of vocational education by the Islamic boarding school community; (2) describe the education system at SMK Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Magelang. The study was conducted at SMK Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Magelang using qualitative approach of a case study. The data collection used interviews, participant observation, and documents. The research informants consisted of the chairman of the foundation of Syubbanul Wathon, the caretakers, the principal, the vice principal, the teachers, the cleric, and the students. The results of the study were: (1) The conception of vocational education by Islamic Boarding School community is ngluru ngilmu which means sincerity between teachers and students, (2) The system of vocational education based on Islamic boarding school in SMK Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Magelang include: (a) the context: SMK Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Magelang has internalized the dynamics of context into formulation of school vision, mission, goals, and activities; (b) input: SMK Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Magelang applies KTSP and Islamic boarding school curriculum; (c) process, SMK Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Magelang integrates the school and Islamic boarding school system; (d) output, SMK Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Magelang graduates have vocational skills, strong religiosity, independence, discipline and skills in foreign languages; (e) outcome: 44% of SMK Syubbanul Wathon Tegalrejo Magelang graduates worked, 42% went to college, and 14% went to salaf boarding school or entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, hasil belajar serta tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap implementasi pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD. Model penelitian tindakan kelas dengan tiga siklus, dilaksanakan tiga bulan terhadap mahasiswa S1 reguler Jurusan Teknik Elektronika yang mengambil mata kuliah rangkaian listrik. Pegumpulan data dengan dokumentasi, observasi, dan tes, angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran terkesan lebih menarik karena mahasiswa bukan lagi sebagai obyek tetapi lebih sebagai subyek dalam pembelajaran. Kondisi pembelajaran diwarnai dengan aktivitas diskusi kelompok, mahasiswa berperan aktif dan saling ketergantungan satu sama lain dalam penguasaan konsep, sehingga terjadi interaksi belajar multi arah, peran dosen justru sebagai fasilitator. Hasil belajar mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap implementasi pembelajaran kooperatif STAD 10,81 % menyatakan sangat setuju dan 89,19 % menyatakan setuju.
