Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the influence of parental guidance, peer group, school promotion, and career information on course preference decision. This study applied a mixed-method with quantitative (multiple regression) followed by the qualitative stage. The quantitative analysis technique is done by a regression test and continued with qualitative. The results showed that partially and simultaneously, the variables of parental guidance, peer groups, school promotion, and career information affected the decision making in choosing the competency of students of SMK Muhammadiyah in Bantul. Career information factors of 12.98% most influence students' decision making in choosing expertise competencies. School promotion contributed 8.20% of the decision. The peer factor contributes to 4.78% of the students’ choices. The last of these factors was parental guidance, which provided 4.43%.

Abstract

The results showed that: (1) Based on the test, the results of the research proved that the Training Method (X1) proved to have a positive effect on the Work Ability of Training Graduates at UPTD BLK Wonogiri (Y); (2) Based on the test, it turns out that the results of the study prove that the Instructor / Trainer (X2) has no positive effect on the Work Ability of Training Graduates at UPTD BLK Wonogiri (Y); (3) Based on the test, it turns out that the research results prove that the Instructor / Trainer (X3) has a positive effect on the Work Ability of Training Graduates at UPTD BLK Wonogiri; (4) Based on the test, it turns out that the research results prove that the Method of Facilities and Infrastructure (X4) has a positive effect on the Work Ability of Training Graduates at UPTD BLK Wonogiri (Y); (5) Based on the test, it turns out that the research results prove that the certificate (X5) is proven to have a positive effect on the Work Ability of Training Graduates at UPTD BLK Wonogiri (Y); (6) Based on testing simultaneously (Test F), it turns out that the results of the research prove that all variables of Training Methods, Instructors / Trainers, Training Materials and Facilities and Infrastructure as well as certificates together or simultaneously prove to have a positive effect on the factor formation of the variables. Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the contribution of SMK Negeri 1 Kalibawang in efforts to empower the village community of Kalibawang District through the implementation of the 'SMK Membangun Desa' program; (2) analyze the factors supporting the contribution of SMK in efforts to empower the village community of Kalibawang District in the implementation of the 'SMK Membangun Desa' program; (3) analyze the inhibiting factorsfor smk's contribution in efforts to empower the village community of Kalibawang District in the implementation of the 'SMK Membangun Desa' program. The research uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological strategies in the implementation of the 'SMK Membangun Desa' program. The research was carried out at SMK Negeri 1 Kalibawang and the Kalibawang District Government. Data collection is carried out by interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Data analysis and validation using source triangulation techniques. The results showed that (1) the implementation of the 'SMK Membangun Desa' program is able to contribute to the improvement of human resources (HR) of the community and the economy of the Kalibawang community through community empowerment strategy-based activities that are integrated with the needs in the village and become one of the solutions to improve the competence of students in the industrial world and theproductivity of students, including: career center on each competency of expertise (Motorcycle Engineering and Business, Accounting and Financial Institutions, Computer and Network Engineering), banana cultivation on SMK land, entrepreneur e-workshop training, marketing of home industry products, promotion of tourist village destinations, community service, sharing public health, and launching program 'SMK Building Villages towards superior smk based on empowerment. (2) supporting factors in the implementation of the 'SMK Membangun Desa' program are the support of the village government, the ability of competent vocational schools, adequate infrastructure and facilities, and the commitment of all SMK residents. (3) inhibiting factors in the implementation of the 'SMK Membangun Desa' program regarding time constraints that arethe same as the Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic, and program fundingcan be andmanaged independently because it is not a program assistance from the government.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen dan strategi hubungan masyarakat pada Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam upaya yang dilakukan untuk membangun kerja sama dengan dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara semi terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen dan strategi hubungan masyarakat untuk kerja sama dunia kerja dengan SMK di Kota Metro meliputi kegiatan perencanaan survei dan analisis, penyusunan program, anggaran pembiayaan, penyelenggaran, pengembangan kehumasan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan kerja sama yaitu pengorganisasian tim, koordinasi dunia kerja, nota kesepahaman, sinkronisasi kurikulum, praktik kerja lapangan, uji kompetensi keahlian, pelatihan dan pemagangan guru dan program teaching factory. Evaluasi kerja sama meliputi kegiatan evaluasi perencanaan, evaluasi pelaksanaan, analisis dampak pelaksanaan, rencana tindak lanjut. Implementasi dari semua kegiatan kerja sama telah dilaksanakan, meskipun beberapa kegiatan seperti nota kesepahaman, program keterserapan lulusan di dunia kerja, magang guru dan teaching factory harus ditingkatkan. Strategi yang digunakan dalam membangun kerja sama meliputi koordinasi, pendekatan, dan terus menjalin komunikasi serta terbuka dalam memberikan informasi. Diharapkan manajemen dan stategi hubungan masyarakat untuk kerja sama dunia kerja dapat meningkatkan kompetensi peserta didik di Kota Metro.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation, learning achievement and student internship results of Light Vehicle Engineering Department students on work readiness of State Vocational High School students in Cilacap Regency. This research method uses quantitative methods with data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The validity test used Product Moment and the reliability test used Alpha Cronbach's. Data analysis used simple and multiple linear regression as well as relative and effective contributions. The results showed that: 1) Work motivation has an effect on job readiness, namely rx1y = 0.672; r2 = 0.452, regression coefficient = 0.702; 2) Learning achievement has an effect on job readiness, namely rx2y = 0.134; r2 = 0.018, regression coefficient = 0.009; 3) Internship has an effect on job readiness, namely rx3y = 0.610; r2 = 0.440, regression coefficient = 0.069; 4) Work motivation, learning achievement, and internship together have an effect on job readiness, namely Rx123y = 0.673; R2x123y = 0.452, multiple linear regression equation Y = 0.982x1 + 0.019x2 + 0.057x3 + 15.133 with a total effective contribution of 51.50% to job readiness.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis perencanaan, implementasi, kendala dan evaluasi penggunaan media belajar E-learning Moodle dalam proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan 1 swasta Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo.Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian induktif kualitatif dipilih oleh peneliti karena memiliki beberapa keunggulan, seperti: memberikan keleluasaan untuk merubah desain penelitian, memfokuskan pada interpretasi dan persepsi subjek, memungkinkan untuk memahami perspektif subjek dan konteks mereka, mengidentifikasi pola dan tema dalam data, serta memahami konteks dan makna dari fenomena yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian E-learning Moodle bahwa implementasi media belajar E-learning Moodle dalam proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan 1 swasta Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo perlu dilakukan dengan sebaik-baiknya, dengan memperhatikan kendala yang muncul dan mempersiapkan sumber daya yang memadai, sehingga dapat memberikan hasil yang optimal dan memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to find the challenges faced by SMK in difficult times to transform into advanced vocational schools; (2) analyze the principal's leadership strategy in transforming schools in difficult times into advanced vocational schools;  (3) analyze the leadership character of the head of SMK Muhammadiyah Purwodadi Purworejo in transforming schools in difficult times into advanced vocational schools. The research uses a qualitative approach with a best practice model.  The research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah Purwodadi Purworejo. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interview techniques.  Data analysis was carried out using the thematic approach of Braun and Clark model analysis  which includes six steps, namely becoming familiar with the data, generating initial codes, searching for themes, review themes, define themes and write up. The results showed that (1) the conditions in the difficult times experienced by SMK Muhammadiyah Purwodadi were limited teachers, small and unpaid students, financial limitations, limited facilities and infrastructure, poor school reputation and competition with other schools.  (2) The leadership strategy implemented by the Head of SMK Muhammadiyah Purwodadi in transforming schools in difficult times into advanced schools is carried out by increasing the number of students, building networks with various parties and all stakeholders, improving the quality and capacity of teachers, improving the image of the school or rebranding to change  the image of the  school and improving facilities and infrastructure .  (3) The leadership character of the head of SMK Muhammadiyah Purwodadi in transforming a school in difficult times into an advanced school is reflected in the thinking behavior of future oriented, creative, innovative and communicative, optimistic and daring to take risks, hard work, never give up and motivate, fast, charismatic and exemplary, empathy, observant of opportunities, religious and have a sense of ownership.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence; teacher competence in utilizing instructional media, teacher competence in managing classes, teacher competence in diagnosing student learning difficulties and analyzing the influence of teacher competence simultaneously on teaching performance of Visual Communication Design teachers at vocational school (SMK) in Yogyakarta, namely at SMK Negeri 3 Kasihan Bantul, SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta , SMK Negeri 2 Sewon Bantul, SMK Koperasi Yogyakarta and SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. Research using quantitative methods. The technique of collecting data is done by questionnaire. Data processing analysis by means of validity test, reliability test. Statistical prerequisite tests were carried out through the normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test. Data analysis was carried out through correlation tests, coefficient of determination tests and F tests. The results showed that; 1) there are positive and significant effects of all the variables teacher competence: in utilizing instructional media, in managing the class, and in diagnosing student learning difficulties on teachers teaching performance of Visual Communication Design teachers at vocational school (SMK) in Yogyakarta. It is hoped that teachers will always be able to develop themselves, maintain and improve their teaching performance by increasing their competence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of integrated welding jobsheets that are usually done at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ajibarang. After analyzing and then developing the use of an integrated welding jobsheet commonly used at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ajibarang, it becomes an integrated jobsheet that is combined with existing work orders in the industry. The use of the jobsheet was developed to increase the knowledge and competence of students in the Machining Engineering skill competency. This research is research and development (R&D). Stages of research using the design Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. This research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ajibarang. The subjects in this study were grade 12 students of Machining Engineering Skills at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ajibarang. This study uses a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design research method. Collecting data using a questionnaire, pretest, posttest. This study uses expert validators to validate the integrated jobsheet that will be developed, where the average validation result of the three expert validators is 4.25 or 80.5% which can be declared valid. Analysis of research data was done by using the validity of the questionnaire and T-test. To compare the achievement results in the class before being given practical treatment using an integrated worksheet and after being given treatment. We can test this comparison by means of different power testing carried out by pretest and posttest. The result of this research is that the use of integrated welding jobsheet can increase students' knowledge and competence. This study shows an increase in knowledge and competence, after being treated three times by using the use of an integrated worksheet that has been combined with a work order with (Tcount = 11.224 and Sig. = 0.000). The results presented in the form of data analysis are the results of research that has gone through several stages. Integrated jobsheet development research is able to increase students' knowledge and competence of Machining Engineering skills. The Integrated Jobsheet is declared valid to assist the learning process of welding practice in production-based learning in order to increase knowledge and competence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies used by a successful vocational high school student in entrepreneurship. This research is a qualitative type of research with phenomenological research methods. This method approach uses the development of the Post-modern Phenomenology specification paradigm. Phenomenology is presented descriptively. Phenomenological research data collection was carried out using in-depth interview techniques. The results of this study reveal the strategies used by Ayu in the form of expanding the reach of promotions, forming networks, and paying attention to sales prices.
