Abstract

Rapid technological development, triggering various applications development that are increasingly innovative. One of them is the Internet of Things (IoT) system that makes human works easier and more effective. Along with sensor technology development in monitoring and controlling through IoT systems, a mechanism is needed to manage bandwidth so that IoT system can function optimally, especially in buildings designated as public areas. Smart building supported by various integrated sensors to maintain safety and comfort in the area. This study proposes the application of Elastic WLAN as a model for dynamic bandwidth management in IoT systems. In this model, IoT bandwidth changes automatically according to the number of traffic measurements for each IoT connected to the network As an effort to determine the performance of the elastic WLAN mechanism, this study succeeded in developing a prototype IoT device that implements Elastic WLAN on an Access-Point Raspberry Pi by using two temperature sensors placed in separate locations. The system successfully allocates bandwidth to each IoT according to the amount of data input from each temperature sensor installed. The higher the amount of data captured by the sensor, the system will automatically allocate the higher bandwidth to the sensor system, and vice versa.

Abstract

Monitoring utilization server which refers to the use of server resources such as CPU, memory and storage is important in managing Information Technology (IT) infrastructure by network administrators in an effort to help maximize server performance, identify performance constraints and make decisions to increase efficiency servers. Monitoring is done by checking resource usage one by one on the server to find out which server resources are running. However, the more servers there are, the more time it takes to monitor so that it can interfere with the performance of network administrators. To make it easier for network administrators to monitor, researchers created a resource utilization and visualization model using Prometheus and Graphana which can display server resources without having to check directly on the server you want to monitor. The final result of the research produced a model that can visualize server resources in a dashboard without the need to check the servers one by one so that it helps network administrators work to monitor server resource usage.

Abstract

Arisan is an activity that is usually carried out by housewives where each member will donate money and at each meeting there will be a lottery to hand over the money that has been collected to one of the lucky members. Usually, arisan is done regularly and offline. However, since the pandemic in 2020, many people have started doing arisan online. With the rise of arisan online activities, there are many cases of fraud with a large amount of loss and of course it cannot be ignored. Based on these problems, a platform is needed to conduct arisan online that can prevent fraud cases. This container will be made in the form of a decentralized application by utilizing blockchain technology in this case this article utilizes smart contracts on the Binance Smart Chain to ensure that after this application is published, no party will be able to make changes to the data or functions of this application to minimize frauds.

Abstract

UD. Nadi Utama is one of the producers and distributors of traditional snacks. As a snack producer, UD Nadi Utama supplies 5 minimarkets every day. To support its business, UD Nadi Utama installs PLN electricity with an average electricity payment of IDR 750,000 per month which is considered to burden production costs. After conducting observations, the capstone project team found that UD, Nadi Utama produces 25 kg of coconut fiber and shell per day. From the problems and potential found at UD Nadi Utama, team capstone project provides a solution in the form of an incinerator. This incinerator has a converter device that can convert the heat generated from combustion into electrical energy. However, monitoring the data of voltage, current, temperature, and the power generated by this incinerator is quite difficult for ordinary users. Because the resulting data is stored in a data logger that can only be downloaded in the form of excel files and cannot be known directly (real-time). This makes it difficult to know when the temperature of the device has decreased, and the amount of power generated by the device. At UD Nadi Utama itself, its human resources have a good ability to use the web system on their mobile devices. From the problems with the conversion tool and the potential of human resources at UD Nadi Utama. A website-based monitoring system is created, which displays the data generated by the data logger in almost real time.

Abstract

This study presents the design of a Smart Lecture Room system that utilizes light intensity sensors, specifically CJMCU101. These sensors are installed in each classroom to monitor the ambient conditions. The implementation of the designed system was carried out in the classrooms of the Udayana University Electrical Engineering Study Program. To achieve this goal, the classroom utilized by the Electrical Engineering Study Program of Udayana University was divided into two classes (DH101 and DH102) and a sensor was installed in each class as an IoT device. The IoT devices are connected to a Raspberry Pi Access Point, where the data from the sensors is stored and monitored using the Thinger.io platform. The validation of the sensor testing is carried out by comparing the results obtained from the sensors with the results obtained from a thermohygrometer measurement. This research produces a prototype smart lecture system, applied to a classroom mockup, that employs IoT devices, sensor databases, and sensor monitoring. The data from each sensor's detection is stored in the LAMP database, which employs Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP. The Thinger.io platform monitors the values of each sensor. A variation in accuracy between the sensor and measuring instrument results in a difference in their values. The CJMCU101 light intensity sensor has an average accuracy of 93.48% compared to the measuring instrument on DH101. The average accuracy of the sensor value compared to the measuring instrument on DH102 is 95.96%.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a prototype vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication system utilizing the NRF24L01 module, ESP32 microcontroller, and OLED display in simplex mode. The system enables effective and instant communication between vehicles in the Vehicle Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) environment. In the implementation, we optimized the power transmission level and data rate to ensure fast and responsive data transmission. We integrated key components, such as the ESP32, NRF24L01, and OLED display, into the hardware design to establish a reliable and seamlessly integrated system. We also designed the prototype to minimize costs. The prototype demonstrates an effective and cost-efficient technical solution for vehicle communication, making it suitable for research and development projects requiring wireless communication in real-world vehicle scenarios. This research aims to positively contribute to advancing technology to support connectivity and safety in future vehicle mobility. The findings of this research can be beneficial for researchers, engineers, and policymakers interested in improving vehicular communication and mobility.

Abstract

Abstrak-Perancangan jaringan ini berpusat pada sebuah mall baru yang akan dibangun pada daerah Tuban, Bali. Yang dimana mall berada pada pada luas tanah 6,981 m2. Perancangan ini menggunakan sistem IndiHome (100% fiber) dengan menggunakan GPON (Gigabyte Passive Optical Network) sebagai teknologinya. Perancangan jaringan ini, dimulai dengan perhitungan demand dan menghitung kebutuhan traffik tiap calon tenant yang akan dibagi menjadi 3 kategori jenis tenant. Dilanjutkan dengan proses merancang struktur jaringan yang dimulai dari penyambungan kabel pada closure sebanyak 48 core hingga sampai pada ONT (Optical Network Termination). Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan parameter Power Link Budget diperoleh total redaman untuk uplink dan downlink masing-masing sebesar 23,84 dB dan 23,574 dB. Margin Daya didapat sebesar 4,16 dBm. Sedangkan, Rise Time Budget diperoleh sebesar 0,25 ns untuk uplink dan 0,22 ns untuk downlink. Nilai tersebut masih dibawah standard maksimum rise time yaitu sebesar 0,5833 ns.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi komunikasi bergerak (mobile communication) yang sangat pesat memacu paraoperator seluler di Indonesia untuk saling melempar strategi guna merebut hati konsumennya. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan memperkuat jaringan masing-masing. Salah satu upaya yang ditempuh untuk memperkuat jaringanadalah dengan mengoptimalkan penggunaan frekuensi yang tersedia. PT. Indosat melakukan pengoptimalan frekuensi ini dengan penerapan Synthesized Frequency Hopping. Call Setup Success Rate (CSSR) adalah salah satuparameter yang menentukan unjuk kerja jaringan. CSSR merupakan rata – rata panggilan sukses yang masuksetelah mendapatkan Traffic Channel(TCH). Kondisi existing CSSR di PT Indosat sebelum penerpan SFH masihdibawah 97,5 % sedangkan target yang diinginkan yaitu 98,7 %. Setelah penerpan SFH diperoleh peningkatanCSSR sebesar 0,63 %, namun demikian peningkatan ini belum mencapai terget yang diinginkan. Sehinggadiperlukan langkah-langkah optimasi lagi terhadap network yang existing.

Abstract

Abstract—This research was conducted to determine the projected growth of subscribers and traffic in the Sumbersari cluster in five years. This study has three stages, namely collecting customer and traffic data, making projections of customer and traffic growth and analyzing projected customer and traffic growth in the Sumbersari cluster. The results of this study are the existing Sumbersari cluster network using a gigabit passive optical network with fiber to the home architecture with cascading passive splitters 1:8 and 1:8. The Sumbersari cluster has a capacity of 512 subscribers (home pass) and 323 existing customers that have been installed (home connected) with a take-up ratio of 63% and the Sumbersari cluster has an average maximum traffic of 454 Mbps with a traffic capacity of 1000 Mbps. The Sumbersari cluster has projected customer growth in 2026 of 605 customers, so expansion is needed to meet the projected customer growth needs. The Sumbersari cluster has a projected traffic growth in 2026 of 805 Mbps, so there is no need for additional traffic capacity. Keywords— Take up ratio, homepass, homeconnected, traffic
