Abstract

Nowadays, the development tendency of information and communication technology is toward its flexibilityand ease of deployment. Cable networks require higher installation cost than wireless network. Therefore,implementation of wireless network, especially a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), becomes more populardue to its coverage and flexibility. The 802.11a is the first published WLAN standard from IEEE which offers widecoverage to stationary consumer terminals. In this paper OPNET Modeler Simulator was used to analyze theapplication standard of 802.11a. Simulation was done to study the characteristic of WLAN 802.11a with severalmeasured parameters such as data dropped (bits/sec), media access delay (sec), delay (sec), and throughput(bits/sec). Abstract

Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) Universitas Udayana merupakan salah satu unsur di Universitas Udayana yang berfungsi untuk mengkoordinasikan, memantau dan menilai pelaksanaan dan kegiatan penelitian yang diselenggarakan oleh pusat- pusat penelitian atau pun oleh kelompok-kelompok peneliti dari berbagai fakultas atau program studi. Selain itu, LPPM juga berperan untum memberikan pelayanan bagi para peneliti di lingkungan Universitas Udayana dalam hal penyediaan informasi penelitian, proses administrasi dan juga layanan pembinaan kemampuan para peneliti. Hingga saat ini, LPPM mengelola berbagai jenis hibah penelitian baik yang merupakan program dari DIKTI maupun penelitian yang di kelola di Universitas Udayana. Jumlah proposal penelitian yang dikelola oleh LPPM dari tahun ketahun semakin meningkat seiring dengan semakin meningkatnya gairah para peneliti Universitas Udayana untuk melakukan penelitian pada bidang yang ditekuninya. Jumlah proposal yang dikelola oleh LPPM untuk di kompetisikan pada hibah-hibah yang ada pada tahun 2010 mencapai 765 proposal. Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Proposal Penelitian diupayakan untuk mengefektifkan kerja dari staf LPPM dan juga memberikan kemudahan bagi peneliti dan reviewer dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Pada sistem ini, para peneliti meregistrasikan proposalnya secara online. Selanjutnya, staff LPPM melakukan rekap terhadap jumlah proposal pada semua jenis hibah yang ada selanjutnya mendistribusikannya kepada reviewer untuk dinilai. Reviewer memberikan penilaian terhadap proposal yang dikompetisikan secara online. Berdasarkan skor yang diinputkan tersebut, sistem mengolah dan memberikan daftar ranking proposal yang dikompetisikan. Dengan demikian, LPPM diharapkan dapat menjamin akuntabilitas dan transparansi pengelolaan proposal penelitian disamping juga untuk meningkatkan kinerja lembaga.

Abstract

The object trace has been a problem in estimating an object position when the object is moving due to the heavy influence of the uncertainty. Many researcher claim that color histogram is reliable feature to represent this object. . Different investigators use different color spaces in conducting research on tracking the object. So, there is no numerical comparison of the impact of the use of different color spaces to the successful tracking. This study compare the performance of tracking an object by using a different color space i.e.: RGB, HSV, and CIELAB. The performance is shown numerically by comparing the actual position of the object with the results of the estimation.

Abstract

In WCDMA system, signal service coverage determines quality service of telecommunication network . To give maximum network service at Jl. Tengah I Kerobokan area, thus requiring the study of the arrangement of the cell coverage on BTS Protpeliatan Sector ? and BTS AnyarKaja Sektor ?. The method used is calculation the distance of base station with proper propagation model which suits the condition of both base stations, also antenna azimuth and tilting were given, and simuation using Atoll software to see the predicted coverage area of BTS. As the result, suitable propagation for BTS Protpeliatan Sector ? is Okumurra Hatta model and BTS AnyarKaja Sektor ? is Cost 231 Hatta model, maximum coverage signal service of BTS Protpeliatan Sector ? is 1,17 km and for BTS AnyarKaja Sektor ? is 1,11 km. Requirement of antenna tilt change from 0º to 0,95º for BTS Protpeliatan Sektor ? and for pada BTS AnyarKaja Sektor ?, antenna tilt change from 0º to 1º and change of 30º antenna sector direction from 180º to 210º. From simulation using Atoll software with above parameters, acknowledge that area of Jl. Tengah I Kerobokan already get maximum service with received signal level pass the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) standard.

Abstract

Network Management System is a device with piles of capabilities to help the network engineer to utilize independent network component especially in a wide framework. Network Management System have the capabilities to identify, configure, monitor, update, and troubleshoots the wired also wireless network devices as well. Udayana University have been utilized some type of platforms to monitor and manage its network, those platforms are Cacti and OpenNMS. However, both of those platforms didn’t meet as what the experts called it as Integrated Network Management System. Thus, EVOMAC present as a solution to simplify the workflow of the network engineers. EVOMAC is an acronym for Evolved Network Management System Application that fused with OpenNMS, PostgreSQL, Telegram, and NodeJS. EVOMAC is also cooperates with four basic API methods that build its system such as POSTMethod, PUTMethod, GETMethod, and DELETEMethod. All of those API methods are the foundation of the command functions /start, /nodes, /addnode, /deletenode, /alarm, /category, and /requisition. Each of the command function has their own response time duration since it is related to the speed of the connected internet and the amount of people who has access to it.

Abstract

Today’s games have entered the next generation gaming phase or the highest generation in the world of gaming. In today’s rapid development of games, it requires users/players to have computers with higher specifications. There is a way for players to run games that have high specifications with computer devices that have low specifications, with cloud gaming technology. There is a cloud gaming server in Indonesia called Gameqoo. To find out the feasibility of a game that is played on a cloud gaming service, it requires parameters that will measure it from the game side and form the user side, namely Quality of Service and Quality of Experience. With the existence of cloud gaming services, the experience of playing games on computers with low specifications becomes light and has pretty good visual quality. This is evidenced by the packet loss value which is 0%, the delay and jitter has value are still in the good category, the use GPU usage is below 5%. The research questionnaire was designed in such a way with an answer scale called the MOS (Mean Opinion Score) to measure Quality of Experience, and an average score on the MOS rating of 4.15 which gets a Good score on the MOS assessment standard. Abstract

The sharp increase on the demand of mobile telecommunication services requires strategy from providers and government to overcome the need on the mobile network infrastructure. Denpasar is the capital city of Bali Province also as one of the world tourism destination has the dramatic increase in development of mobile telecommunication infrastructure. It can be seen from the number of Greenfield and Rooftop telecommunication tower increase every year. This paper shows the telecommunication tower distribution at Denpasar in year 2012. Survey was done through literature study based on recorded data at the communication and information office at the Government of Denpasar City. In addition, we did the site visit survey to find out the coordinate and tower identities. Then, each towers coordinate was plotted at google map to see the towers distribution and mapping in Denpasar. From the survey and tower mapping we found that there were a number of 326 total telecommunication towers in the area Denpasar. It was consist of 108 unit Greenfield towers and 218 unit Rooftop towers. The site survey also found that many towers have been used by some providers (joint operation tower). There was no tower found located at the Greenland area as well as at the holy and sacred area such as around temples which is very important to be analyzed when planning tower location.  However, many tower were not equipped with the tower identity which has been a requirement base on communication and Information Ministry’s decree number 02/PER/M.KOMINFO/3/2008 about the Guidelines of Joint Operation Telecommunication Tower.

Abstract

The development of the Internet of Things today is very rapid. one form of this development is a Smart-Building or smart building. Smart buildings require a form of system that can monitor the building in real time and efficiently. in this study designed a prototype form of a smart building system by adding a detector for the number of people using the ESP32cam camera sensor. The number of people object detection adapts the careful YOLOv3 Algorithm to 5 different lighting conditions, dimmed 50% and 75%, increased 50% and 75% and normal conditions. The results of this implementation show that the mAP value exceeds 90% in all of these lighting conditions. The YOLOv3 algorithm applied to the smart building prototype system has succeeded in detecting and counting the number of people objects in an image captured by the camera sensor. Abstract

Monitoring utilization server which refers to the use of server resources such as CPU, memory and storage is important in managing Information Technology (IT) infrastructure by network administrators in an effort to help maximize server performance, identify performance constraints and make decisions to increase efficiency servers. Monitoring is done by checking resource usage one by one on the server to find out which server resources are running. However, the more servers there are, the more time it takes to monitor so that it can interfere with the performance of network administrators. To make it easier for network administrators to monitor, researchers created a resource utilization and visualization model using Prometheus and Graphana which can display server resources without having to check directly on the server you want to monitor. The final result of the research produced a model that can visualize server resources in a dashboard without the need to check the servers one by one so that it helps network administrators work to monitor server resource usage.

Abstract

The online learning process currently utilizes a Learning Management System, one of which is Moodle. Moodle provides a forum menu where the forum is a digital forum for asking questions and answering and sharing between lecturers and students. Lecturer and student activity can be seen from the forum menu. For this reason, research was conducted on the ranking of lecturer activities in the moodle forum. The ranking determination uses the Fuzzy Tsukamoto decision making system. Fuzzy Tsukamoto has step efficiency in determining rules and processing data that has a taboo range and produces crips output. The processing steps carried out are determining the variables, giving weights, creating a fuzzy set of each variable, then the fuzzification process and creating a rule base and finally, defuzzification, namely the calculation of negligence and output. Based on the rule and the predicate alpha value, the appropriate value is obtained to rank the quality of lecturers based on their activities in the moodle forum.
