Abstract

Omah Iwak Badher Bank ialah salah satu destinasi wisata di Kabupaten Blitar yang dikelola oleh POKMASWAS Fajar Bengawan. Penelusuran reviewer pada google.co.id mendapatkan total 77 orang pemberi ulasan dengan rata-rata rating 4.5. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai rating destinasi terhadap responden terpilih, ialah mahasiswa S1 dan S3 Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu kelautan UB Malang. Total responden berjumlah 46 mahasiswa, 33 ialah mahasiswa S1 dan 13 mahasiswa S3. Kedua kelompok responden mendapat kesempatan yang sama untuk mengunjungi destinasi wisata. Rating dan penilaian terhadap destinasi dilakukan dengan memberikan 12 jenis pertanyaan kepada masing-masing resonden. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa rating responden mahasiswa S1 (3,7±0,57) dan S3 (3,7±0,48) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan penilaian publik (4,5). Hal ini menunjukkan kualitas destinasi yang menjadi perhatian mahasiswa lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan umum. Kesediaan membayar mahasiswa S1 (Rp. 150.000 Trip-1) pada destinasi wisata relatif lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa S3 (Rp. 250.000 Trip-1). Sebagai destinasi wisata baru, Omah Iwak Badher Bank perlu melakukan peningkatan jasa untuk meningkatkan kualitas destinasi.Kata Kunci: kesediaan membayar, jasa wisata, wisata alam, POKMASWAS Willingness-To-Pay To Omah Iwak Badher Bank Tourism DestinationABSTRACT Omah Iwak Badher Bank is one of the tourist destinations in Blitar Regency which is managed by POKMASWAS Fajar Bengawan. A reviewer search on google.co.id found a total of 77 reviewers with an average rating of 4.5. This study aimed to assess the destination rating of selected respondents, are undergraduate and doctoral students of the UB’s Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Malang. The total respondents were 46 students, 33 were S1 students and 13 were S3 students. Both groups of respondents received the same opportunity to visit tourist destinations. Rating and assessment of destinations was done by giving 12 types of questions to each respondent. The results found that the average rating of undergraduate student respondents was 3.7±0.57, and 3.7±0.48 for S3 students, respectively. These were lower than that of public assessment (4.5). This indivated that the quality of destination that are of concern to students is higher than the public. Willingness-t-pay of undergraduate students (Rp. 150,000 Trip-1) at tourist destinations was relatifly lower compared to doctoral students (Rp. 250,000 Trip-1). As a new tourist destination, Omah Iwak Badher Bank needs to improve its services to improve the quality of the destination.Keywords: willingness-to-pay, tourism services, nature tourism, POKMASWAS

Abstract

TPI Sendang Biru berada di Kabupaten Malang memiliki potensi yang besar baik dalam bidang penyediaan pasokan ikan ataupun sarana prasarana penunjang lainnya. Pelabuhan perikanan tersebut dipersiapkan sebagai pusat pertumbuhan ekonomi perikanan di wilayah selatan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Pemerintah melalui Direktorat Jenderal Perikanan Tangkap Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan Tahun 2018 telah menyelesaikan relokasi pembangunan kios ikan berkonsep higienis pada wilayah tersebut untuk menunjang mutu hasil ikan dan harga jual ikan tetap tinggi.  Sejalan dengan hal tersebut Pemerintah Propinsi Jawa Timur saat ini melakukan pengembangan jalur lintas selatan untuk mempermudah aksesbilitas. Namun, adanya wabah pandemi Covid-19 saat ini menyebabkan dampak yang besar pada berbagai bidang termasuk bidang perikanan. Hal tersebut menyebabkan bukan hanya minat beli masyrakat yang menurun, namun keterbatasan jalur distribusi produk juga menghambat transaksi jual-beli masyarakat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut perlu dilakukan pelatihan dan pembinaan manajemen pemasaran produk-produk perikanan di TPI Sendang Biru berbasis media jual-beli online. Metode edukasi yang dilakukan adalah seminar dengan topik strategi pemasaran digital berbasis media sosial dan workshop berbasis toko online atau marketplace. Melalui program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu langkah awal dalam menghadapi tantangan-tantangan baru dalam penanggulangan pemulihan ekonomi pasca pandemi Covid-19, serta dapat memperluas jejaring pemasaran para nelayan atau penjual ikan di wilayah tersebut bahkan hingga keadaan normal kembali.

Abstract

Plastic is one of the most common pollutants found in marine waters. The direct negative impact of plastic waste on marine organisms is causing blockages in the digestive tract if eaten either intentionally or unintentionally. One of the efforts to reduce plastic waste is to build public awareness and readiness to actively participate in solving the problem of plastic waste. Therefore, Marine Science Study Program, FFMS, Universitas Brawijaya is dedicated to provide education about the dangers of plastic waste for aquatic communities and marine biota at a pioneering nature school for the Bajulmati Sea Turtle Conservation (BSTC) community in Bajulmati Beach, Malang Regency, East Java. In general, community service activities take place in online and offline manner. The educational methods given to students are a participatory and collaborative learning method, namely by providing an understanding of the material through class discussions and practical waste sorting activities in the field. The results of educational activities on the dangers of plastic waste can increase public knowledge and awareness, especially students at the BSTC nature school so that later it will have an effect on wiser plastic use behavior. Through this activity, it is expected that the resulted knowledge and awareness can foster a sense of love for the environment and can also affect a better use of plastic.

Abstract

Banyuurip is one of the villages in Ujung Pangkah District which has potential natural resource that is mangrove forests. However, the occurrence of abrasion and conversion of mangrove land has impacted mangrove ecosystem. Rehabilitation efforts by replanting mangroves have been carried out, but they have not been effective in overcoming the current problems. The reduction of mangrove area that led the decreased of mangrove’s function can affect the livelihood of the local community, including fishermen. The installation of geosynthetic bags, which are sand-filled bags arranged on the ground, is done as an alternative solution in Banyuurip Village which functions as coastal protection and a sediment trap. The utilization of geosynthetic material is often used to help the coastal problem, the used of geosynthetic material is rarely carried out in mangrove areas. This study aims to determine the sediment characteristics, sedimentation rates, and sedimentation process based on the relationship between current velocity and sedimentation rate. The result shows that generally the type of sediment fraction in this location is silt (79,12% - 80,12%) and the rest is clay. The current installation of geosynthetic bags can result in the land extension from the trapped sediment behind the structure. In addition, the current velocity conditions and the sediment transport process also affect the sedimentation process that occurs. The average sedimentation rates around the geosynthetic bags installation area ranged from 150.72-305.01 mg.cm-2.day-1. This study may provide a basic information for further development in Banyuurip Mangrove Center and other mangrove conservation area.

Abstract

Sebagai ekosistem, fungsi ekologis yang unik dari padang lamun memberikan banyak manfaat bagi organisme yang tinggal di wilayah pesisir. Namun saat ini telah terjadi perubahan ekosistem dan keanekaragaman hayati yang terjadi pada skala lokal dan global. Penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk menggambarkan wilayah distribusi lamun di Indonesia dan Jawa Timur yang dapat menjadi acuan mengenai sebaran, tipe substrat dan habitat dari lamun. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan data 5 tahun terakhir (2016-2021). Hasil penelitian ini pada wilayah Jawa Timur ditemukan sebanyak 11 jenis lamun di 8 lokasi penelitian diantaranya Lamongan, Gresik, Situbondo, Banyuwangi, Malang, Pacitan, Bangkalan, dan Sumenep. Jenis lamun yang ditemukan di Jawa Timur diantaranya Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Haludole pinifolia, Halodule uninervis, Halophila decipiens, Halophila ovalis, Halophila minor, Syringodium iseotifolium, dan Thalassodendron ciliatum. Kondisi lamun di Jawa Timur juga tergolong cukup baik dengan nilai kerapatan tertinggi sebesar 2524-5592 ind/m2 pada Perairan Situbondo dan kerapatan jenis terendah sebesar 4,42-13,05 ind/m2 pada Perairan Banyuwangi. Nilai persentase tutupan lamun tertinggi sebesar 37-62% di Perairan Situbondo dan nilai tutupan terendah sebesar 3,56-16,44% di Perairan Malang.

Abstract

Salt is one of the marine mineral products that has great potential in Indonesia. Salt production in Indonesia is mostly located on the island of Madura and the north coast of Java. Indonesia still imports salt to meet salt needs, especially for industrial salt needs. In increasing national salt production, one of the strategic steps that need to be taken is to increase the area of ??salt ponds in Indonesia. To increase the area of ??salt land, one important strategy is to open salt ponds outside the North Coast of Java and Madura Island. One alternative location is the beaches in the southern region of Java Island. Salt production on the South Coast of Java has not been done much. On the South Coast of Malang Regency, there is no salt production business. The creation of salt production in the South Coast of Malang Regency needs to be based on an analysis of market potential. This study aims to analyze the market potential of salt commodities in the South Coast of Malang Regency. This study is the first study to analyze the market potential for the development of salt production in the South Coast of Malang. The results of this study indicate that the main market potential for salt production in the South Coast of Malang is salt for fishery activities and salt for livestock. In addition, there is a potential market for salt education activities and consumption salt. Based on the results of this study, the development of the salt commodity market in the South Coast of Malang can be developed with a Niche Marketing approach.

Abstract

Northern Java have been overexploited due to over fishing and use of destructive fishing gear. This causes a decrease in fish resources. Fish apartment is alternative things to restore the availability of fish resources. Drowning a fish apartment requires a more effective suitability assessment and to maximize its benefits. This study aims to know the suitability/feasibility of candidate locations for placing fish apartment. The study was conducted in April-June 2019 used survey and assess the condition of the waters based on the suitability matrix. The assessment score multiplied by the point of each parameter. The result showed that, placement of fish houses in Tuban district is in Palang waters; Bangkalan Regency in Modung Waters, Pamekasan Regency in Jumiang 3 site, Gresik Disctict (Bawean Island) in Batu Elong, Probolinggo Regency in Gending Waters, Probolinggo City in Karang Katon Waters and Situbondo Regency in Pasir Putih Beach.

Abstract

Salt is an essential commodity that is widely used for consumption and industrial purposes. One of the main factors determining the success of this salt production is the suitability of the salt production location. However, there has been no analysis of the suitability of salt production locations in salt production centers in East Java. This study aims to analyze the suitability level of the location of salt production centers for the salt production process using the Salt Location Suitability Index (IKG). The areas analyzed in this study are salt production centers in Sampang Regency, Probolinggo Regency, Gresik Regency, and Tuban Regency. The IKG analysis is prepared based on nine suitability parameters: rainfall, soil permeability, soil type, duration of exposure, humidity, wind speed, air temperature, evaporation rate and saturation level of raw material water. The IKG analysis results can also be used as a basis for recommending alternative technologies that need to be applied to increase salt production. The results of this study indicate that the locations of salt production in Sampang District, Probolinggo Regency and Tuban Regency, which are the focus of this study, are in the Very Appropriate category (more than 85%), while the locations in Gresik Regency are in the Sufficiently Suitable category (80-84 %). Based on the results of this study, all the locations that are the focus of this study are suitable for further development of salt production.

Abstract

Kenaikan jumlah penduduk akan mengakibatkan naiknya volume sampah yang dihasilkan dari aktivitas antropogenik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pantai Sendang Biru dan Pelabuhan Perikanan Pondokdadap, Kabupaten Malang. Minimnya informasi mengenai karakteristik sampah laut juga tingkat kebersihan lingkungan pantai dan pelabuhan menjadi alasan perlunya penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui penanganan sampah laut yang lebih tepat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis sampah laut, menganalisis kelimpahannya, serta menentukan tingkat kebersihan wilayah pesisir berdasarkan indeks kualitas kebersihan Clean-Coast Index (CCI) dan General Index (GI). CCI digunakan untuk menghitung tingkat kebersihan berdasarkan keberadaan sampah plastik saja, sedangkan GI menentukan kebersihan pantai berdasarkan semua kategori sampah. Pengambilan data sampah laut dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuadran transek berukuran 5 x 5 m pada area pantai dan pelabuhan. Identifikasi sampah berdasarkan kategori dilakukan secara langsung di lapang, termasuk penghitungan jumlah dan berat sampah. Sampah plastik merupakan kategori sampah yang mendominasi dengan persentase 73,25 % di Pantai Sendang Biru dan 68 % di Pelabuhan Pondokdadap. Sub-kategori sampah plastik yang mendominasi yaitu plastik sekali pakai dengan persentase 84,28 % di Pantai Sendang Biru dan 90 % di Pelabuhan Pondokdadap. Hasil perhitungan CCI mengkategorikan Pantai Sendang Biru (32.32 ± 17.63) dan Pelabuhan Pondokdadap (48,60±9,50) serta GI Pantai Sendang Biru (44,12 ± 19,52) dan Pelabuhan Pondokdadap (74,3 ± 20,28) termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat kotor, sehingga diperlukan tindakan pemulihan kawasan yang tercemar hingga kembali pada kondisinya semula, dan juga monitoring sampah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pandanan Marine Technopark has a flat topography in the middle, and hills on the southwest and northeast sides. Based on a survey using the manta tow method that has been carried out by researchers in 2021, the sea water conditions are clear but the coral reefs are not good. One of the factors suspected to be the cause of the poor condition of the coral reefs in Pandanan Marine Technoark is that many fishermen used to use bombs to catch fish. One of the efforts made by the government and the local (POKMASWAS) to restore the coral reef ecosystem in the Pandanan Marine Technopark is by creating a program to restore corals asexually using coral transplant media. Until now, no research has been conducted in Pandanan Marine Technopark on the sexual recovery of coral reef ecosystems using a coral recruitment level approach.Coral reefs are a group of zooxanthellae symbiotic animals that are very vulnerable to environmental changes. Meanwhile, coral recruitment is a process in which new individual corals are formed through coral reproduction and then join the coral community by forming new colonies. The method used in this study is Underwater Photo Transect (UPT) method and quantitative analysis method consisting of analysis of coral recruitment data for identification of coral recruitment genus, diversity index, uniformity index and dominance index. The results of the recruitment rate for hard corals (Scleractinia) in Pandanan Marine Technopark showed that the recruitment results were based on the lifeforms found including branching, massive, and free living. Meanwhile, the substrate that recruited coral grows the most is Dead Coral with Algae. There were 7 genus found which included Acropora, Favia, Montastrea, Stylophora, Pocilopora, Leptastrea, and Fungia. Most coral recruitment was found at Station 1 with a depth of 3 meters and the lowest number was at Station 3 with a depth of 3 meters. The average Diversity Index is 1.08, which means that the diversity is relatively small and the ecological pressure is very strong. The average uniformity index was 0.91 which means high uniformity and stable community. Furthermore, the average Dominance Index is 0.51, which means moderate dominance
