Abstract

The development of fishing and marine tourism requires the support of naval architecture, especially in small boat. The use of wood as the main material for shipbuilding has recently become a problem considering the decreasing availability of wood, while the use of fiber is classified as less environmentally friendly because it uses chemical resin and difficult to repair when it breaks and cannot be recycled. The aim of this research is to design the High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) boat. The design was carried out by using naval architect design software. The stability of boat was calculated by using three loading conditions such as when leaving the port, in the sea and when returning to the port. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) safety criteria was using to evaluation of boat stability where the three loading conditions have met the IMO standard. The construction of HDPE boat was carried out by using DNV rules.

Abstract

Omah Iwak Badher Bank ialah salah satu destinasi wisata di Kabupaten Blitar yang dikelola oleh POKMASWAS Fajar Bengawan. Penelusuran reviewer pada google.co.id mendapatkan total 77 orang pemberi ulasan dengan rata-rata rating 4.5. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai rating destinasi terhadap responden terpilih, ialah mahasiswa S1 dan S3 Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu kelautan UB Malang. Total responden berjumlah 46 mahasiswa, 33 ialah mahasiswa S1 dan 13 mahasiswa S3. Kedua kelompok responden mendapat kesempatan yang sama untuk mengunjungi destinasi wisata. Rating dan penilaian terhadap destinasi dilakukan dengan memberikan 12 jenis pertanyaan kepada masing-masing resonden. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa rating responden mahasiswa S1 (3,7±0,57) dan S3 (3,7±0,48) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan penilaian publik (4,5). Hal ini menunjukkan kualitas destinasi yang menjadi perhatian mahasiswa lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan umum. Kesediaan membayar mahasiswa S1 (Rp. 150.000 Trip-1) pada destinasi wisata relatif lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa S3 (Rp. 250.000 Trip-1). Sebagai destinasi wisata baru, Omah Iwak Badher Bank perlu melakukan peningkatan jasa untuk meningkatkan kualitas destinasi.Kata Kunci: kesediaan membayar, jasa wisata, wisata alam, POKMASWAS Willingness-To-Pay To Omah Iwak Badher Bank Tourism DestinationABSTRACT Omah Iwak Badher Bank is one of the tourist destinations in Blitar Regency which is managed by POKMASWAS Fajar Bengawan. A reviewer search on google.co.id found a total of 77 reviewers with an average rating of 4.5. This study aimed to assess the destination rating of selected respondents, are undergraduate and doctoral students of the UB’s Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Malang. The total respondents were 46 students, 33 were S1 students and 13 were S3 students. Both groups of respondents received the same opportunity to visit tourist destinations. Rating and assessment of destinations was done by giving 12 types of questions to each respondent. The results found that the average rating of undergraduate student respondents was 3.7±0.57, and 3.7±0.48 for S3 students, respectively. These were lower than that of public assessment (4.5). This indivated that the quality of destination that are of concern to students is higher than the public. Willingness-t-pay of undergraduate students (Rp. 150,000 Trip-1) at tourist destinations was relatifly lower compared to doctoral students (Rp. 250,000 Trip-1). As a new tourist destination, Omah Iwak Badher Bank needs to improve its services to improve the quality of the destination.Keywords: willingness-to-pay, tourism services, nature tourism, POKMASWAS

Abstract

Profesi nelayan merupakan profesi yang sangat beresiko karena melakukan aktifitas dilaut yang kondisinya sangat dinamis, ditambah kondisi gelombang laut pantai selatan yang cukup tinggi. Salah satu kecelakaan kapal nelayan di Pantai Puger Jember terjadi pada Juli 2018 yang menyebabkan 9 orang nelayan meninggal dunia. Disisi lain, mayoritas nelayan merupakan kepala keluarga yang harus menafkahi anak, istri dan keluarganya. Ketika kepala keluarga meninggal dunia, maka akan menyebabkan terjadinya masalah-masalah lain sebagai persoalan turunannya seperti kemiskinan dan lain sebagainya. Penyadaran akan pentingnya aspek keselamat kerja dilakukan dalam bentuk kegiatan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat nelayan meliputi presentasi dan diskusi, pembagian alat keselamatan berupa pelampung dan simulasi secara langsung dilapangan guna mengetahui apakah para nelayan menerapkan pengetahuan yang diberikan dengan baik. Kata Kunci: Puger, kecelakaan kapal, keselamatan, nelayan. A fishermen's profession is very risky because they perform activities in the sea, which can be dynamic; additionally, the south coast sea waves can be quite high. A fishing boat accident on Puger Jember Beach occurred in July 2018, and left nine fishermen dead. The majority of fishermen are family heads who have to provide for their children, wives, and families. When the head of the family dies, it will cause other derivative problems such as poverty. Awareness of the importance of work safety aspects is carried out in the form of socialization activities within fishing communities. These activities include presentations and discussions, the distribution of safety equipment in the form of buoys, and simulations directly in the field to find out whether the fishermen properly apply the knowledge provided. Abstract

Bondowoso memiliki industri pengolahan tape, salah satunya adalah home industri tape singkong “Seger Wareg” Maesan Bondowoso. Selain memberi keuntungan secara ekonomi, kegiatan produksi juga menimbulkan masalah berupa limbah kulit singkong. Produksi 200-300 kg tape dapat menghasilkan sekitar 40-60 kg limbah kulit singkong. Kulit singkong dianggap limbah yang tidak berguna oleh sebagian industri tape singkong. Oleh karena itu, bahan ini masih belum banyak dimanfaatkan dan dibuang begitu saja dan umumnya hanya digunakan sebagai pakan ternak, sedangkan kulit singkong dinilai kurang baik sebagai pakan ternak karena mengandung sianida. Kulit singkong memiliki kandungan HCN yang sangat tinggi yaitu sebesar 18,0 – 309,4 ppm untuk per 100 gram kulit singkong (Nur Richana, 2013). HCN atau asam sianida merupakan zat yang bersifat racun baik dalam bentuk bebas maupun kimia, yaitu glikosida, sianogen phaseulonathin, linamarin dan metillinamarin/lotaustrain (Coursey, 1973). Penyelesaian masalah ini dilakukan dalam skema pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui tahapan memberi sosialisasi tentang pengelolaan sampah, pengolahan limbah dan dampaknya pada lingkungan serta menginisiasi dan memberikan bantuan kepada masyarakat contoh rekator biogas skala rumah tangga yang nantinya dapat diperbanyak sesuai kebutuhan serta memberikan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan biobriket dari limbah kulit singkong. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini antara lain; (a) pemaparan materi pengelolaan limbah kulit singkong, (b) pembagian reaktor biogas dan briket, (c) praktek pembuatan reaktor dan (d) uji nyala api terhadap biogas yang telah terbentuk. Abstract

Tawangrejo fishers located in Binangun, Blitar are a group of fishers who conducted destructed fishing. Once fish population decreased, they believed that they must recover the fish population in the Brantas river, especially for a ray-finned fish, Puntius bramoides (Valenciennes, 1842) that live endemic, by forming Community based surveillance named POKMASWAS Fajar Bengawan. The POKMASWAS actively monitor and prohibit destructive fishing, also initiate ecotourism called Badher Bank such as river tracking, fish feeding and fishing. However, Badher Bank still has some constraints related to service management and infrastructure availability. Therefore, the aim of these activities was to increase the service of Badher Bank ecotourism by assisting the group management and building a rest facility for tourists. The results of these activities were the workshop and capacity building for POKMASWAS and the provision of a gazebo. Now, Badher Bank has been well managed with improved management skills and excellent ecotourism services.

Abstract

Marine growth, though a straightforward issue, which is can lead the significant problems for marine structures such as wellhead jacket platforms. The survey was conducted to measure the thickness of marine growth from the splash zone downward to the seabed elevation of the jacket platform. The growth rate was calculated and predicted for 10 years from initial conditions, while the initial conditions were set 3 years after the operation started. The result indicated that the prediction thickness exceeded the allowable thickness at 5 years start from the initial condition. The results of these measurements and predictions can be used for management policy-making and followed up with an assessment of the effects of marine growth on structural performance such as seismic and structural fatigue analysis.

Abstract

The water survey activities in remote areas have many challenges, such as cost, transportation to location, access to the location, boat for water survey, manpower, and other factors. This research proposes the method of water survey to overcome the difficulties encountered in surveying in remote areas. The mini boat prototype was designed and fabricated by using a control system to operate in the water. The propulsion power prediction was carried out, by comparison, the similarity to the fullscale ships with 9.5 knots of velocity. Furthermore, the wave-making resistance was simulated by software and confirmed by the trial. The trial has shown that the boat was going well on the water and the measurement equipment in a safe condition.

Abstract

Mangroves are important ecosystems that help prevent global warming by storing carbon. A study in Alas Purwo National Park aimed to identify the species diversity and estimate the market value of total carbon from each mangrove species. The study used field sampling and diversity indexes. The study found that the study area has high diversity, with Shannon-Weiner, Margalef, and Pielou's Indexes of H' = 2.276, J = 0.949, and R = 1.453, respectively. Rhizophora apiculata was the dominant species with Above-Ground Carbon (AGC) and Below-Ground Carbon (BGC) stocks of about 34.73 Mg C Ha-1 and an economic value of $1,605, the highest among other species. The results of this study can help improve our understanding of the role of mangrove characteristics for both ecology and the economy.

Abstract

This study was conducted to produce Pop Up Book PPKN Cultural Diversity media. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the Pop-Up Book PPKN Cultural Diversity learning media for grade III at SD Negeri 79 Palembang. The type of research used was R&D (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development model (Analys, Design, Devlopment, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were 29 grade III students at SD Negeri 79 Palembang. Meanwhile, the object of this research is the Pop Up Book PPKN Cultural Diversity learning media. The research instruments used were questionnaire sheets of material experts and media experts to determine the validity of the Pop Up Book media, student response questionnaires to determine the practicality of the Pop Up Book media, tests to measure the level of student learning success and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used a Likert scale with an assessment score of 1-5 including data analysis of validity, practicality and effectiveness. The results of this study indicate that the Pop Up Book PPKN Cultural Diversity learning media that has been developed obtained a percentage of 90.66% with the criteria of "very valid" from the material expert lecturer, from the material expert teacher obtained a percentage of 100% with the criteria of "very valid", from the media expert obtained a percentage of 90.66% with the criteria of "very valid", the response of students in the small group trial obtained a percentage of 94.4% with the criteria of "very practical", the response of students in the field trial obtained a percentage of 97.1% with the criteria of "very practical" and a percentage of 93.10% with the criteria of "very effective" from the learning outcomes of students calculated with classical learning completeness. Student learning outcomes were obtained using N-gain, namely by comparing the pretest and posttest values. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Pop Up Book PPKN Cultural Diversity learning media is very feasible from the aspects of validity, practicality and effective for use as learning media in class III of State Elementary School 79 Palembang.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has experienced significant improvements, including its use in sustainable maritime security. This journal discusses the development of information systems that are interconnected and real time providing reports to all parties who need information. Overall, we find that the potential for oil sabotage is always present in the delivery of tankers from FPSO to shuttle tankers. The concept of integrated FPSO offloading management to tankers implies minimizing the potential loss of cargo. At the same time, the intelligent technology most often used to control maritime security is the Automatic Integrated System.
