Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyse the strategies used by youth communities in Central Java in resolving religious conflicts and maintaining interfaith harmony. The main research question posed is how the strategies of youth communities in Central Java respond to and resolve religious conflicts in order to maintain social harmony. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation of several interfaith youth communities in major cities in Central Java such as Semarang, Solo, and Yogyakarta. The results showed that the youth community developed conflict resolution strategies based on interfaith dialog, cultural approaches, and strengthening diversity literacy through social media and informal education. These strategies have proven effective in building collective consciousness, strengthening social solidarity and creating safe spaces for interfaith interaction at the grassroots level.

Abstract

A positive school culture can help students develop strong personal values such as honesty, discipline, and work ethic. Therefore, to meet the needs of modern education, thorough research on these elements is crucial. However, many schools in Indonesia still struggle to build a culture that supports learning and builds student character. This problem is often caused by poor school management, lack of community support, and a lack of innovation in learning. This study emphasizes the importance of school culture in shaping students' awareness in terms of knowledge, spirituality, and morals. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that holistic education can be implemented by carrying out routine activities or habits, designing school discipline that is aligned with the goals of holistic education, a school culture approach, and instilling the core values of character-strengthening education outside the classroom and extracurricular activities. Educators act as role models, and religious activities such as group prayer and Quran recitation become routine character-building activities. Holistic education based on school culture can increase students' religious awareness and foster responsibility, social awareness, religious discipline, and social awareness. Simply put, a religious school environment has a significant contribution in the formation of students' spirituality or obedience holistically.

Abstract

Student discipline is one of the crucial factors in the success of Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This study aims to integrate behavioristic theory with Imam Al-Ghazali's Islamic educational perspective in an effort to improve student discipline in IRE subjects. The method used is library research with a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach. Data were collected from primary literature in the form of Al-Ghazali's works, such as Ihya Ulumuddin and Ayyuhal Walad, as well as secondary literature, including books, journals, and scientific articles on behaviorist theory and Islamic education. The analysis was conducted through content analysis to find common ground between behaviorist concepts (stimulus-response, reinforcement, punishment) and Al-Ghazali's educational principles (mujahadah, riyadhah, habituation, and exemplary behavior). The results of the study show that there is a fundamental harmony between behaviorist theory and Al-Ghazali's educational concepts, particularly in the aspects of habituation, positive reinforcement, and logical consequences. The integration of these two approaches produces a comprehensive discipline development model, combining external dimensions (behavioral modification) with internal dimensions (spiritual motivation). The implementation of this integrated model shows significant potential in improving student discipline through a holistic approach, not only shaping outward behavior but also inner awareness. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the development of an Islamic values-based character education model that is compatible with modern psychological theory, as well as practical implications for PAI teachers in developing effective and meaningful discipline strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the Grebeg Maulud tradition in Yogyakarta as a manifestation of local wisdom within the framework of Islam Nusantara. Grebeg Maulud is a ceremonial procession conducted annually in the Sultanate of Yogyakarta to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad. The significance of the tradition lies not only in its religious dimension but also in its social, cultural, and environmental aspects that contribute to community cohesion and moral values. Employing a qualitative approach with ethnographic and historical methods, the research examines how Grebeg Maulud embodies local wisdom (kearifan lokal) that encourages harmonious living, mutual cooperation, and respect for nature. The study situates Grebeg Maulud within the worldview of Islam Nusantara, a contextual and inclusive interpretation of Islam grounded in Indonesian cultural realities. Findings suggest that Grebeg Maulud functions as a living tradition that nurtures spiritual piety, social solidarity, and ecological responsibility, thus contributing to the broader agenda of “caring for the world” (merawat dunia) through culturally rooted religious practice.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in dealing with digital bullying among teenagers in private Madrasah Aliyah. Digital bullying is a social problem that is becoming increasingly prominent along with the intensity of digital media use among teenagers. This research aims to analyze the forms of digital bullying that occur as well as the role and strategies of PAI teachers in preventing and handling it. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of field research. The research results show that PAI teachers have a strategic role through internalizing moral values in learning, developing students' morals, as well as persuasive and educational approaches in handling digital bullying cases. This research contributes to the development of Islamic Religious Education studies that are responsive to the challenges of the digital era, especially in the context of secondary education.

Abstract

Pendidikan inklusi di lingkungan madrasah saat ini menghadapi tantangan besar dalam menyelaraskan pencapaian akademik dengan pembentukan karakter yang humanis, di mana kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) konvensional seringkali dianggap kurang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik yang beragam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami strategi internalisasi nilai-nilai "Panca Cinta" dalam Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta (KBC) di MI Tahfidz Ash Sholihah, serta mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan yang muncul dalam implementasinya di setting madrasah inklusi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desain studi fenomenologi, data dikumpulkan melalui teknik triangulasi yang meliputi wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi non-partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai Panca Cinta—yang mencakup Cinta Allah dan Rasul, Cinta Ilmu, Cinta Lingkungan, Cinta Diri dan Sesama, serta Cinta Tanah Air—dilakukan melalui dua jalur utama, yakni kegiatan intrakurikuler melalui pengembangan modul ajar berdiferensiasi dan pendekatan multisensori, serta kegiatan kokurikuler melalui pembiasaan ibadah harian dan proyek P5RA. Meskipun pendekatan ini berhasil menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang inklusif dan empatik, prosesnya masih menghadapi hambatan berupa keterbatasan kompetensi pedagogik khusus guru dalam menangani dinamika perilaku anak berkebutuhan khusus serta adanya ketidaksinkronan nilai antara lingkungan madrasah dengan pola asuh di rumah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa internalisasi nilai Panca Cinta sangat potensial dalam membentuk karakter murid yang utuh, namun keberhasilannya memerlukan kolaborasi sinergis antara penguatan kapasitas guru dan dukungan ekosistem masyarakat yang lebih luas.
