Abstract

The purpose of PPK Ormawa is to optimize the creativity of children and adolescents as an effort to build character which is realized by IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro as one of the education-based universities in Bojonegoro Regency. This activity is realized through art and literacy. The arts include music, visual arts, theater arts, and vocal arts, while literacy focuses on language in the form of musical poetry for children and village youth. In addition, this program aims to increase the capacity of student organizations (Ormawa) which are the existence of higher education institutions. This method of PPK Ormawa activities is carried out in the form of practice. This activity begins with a survey, looking for existing problems, and mitigation efforts. The results of this dedication are the PPK Ormawa team of Soul and Feel Music UKM IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro has succeeded in forming an Art Community in Kawengan Village, Kedewan District which was inaugurated in October 2022. Tujuan PPK Ormawa ini untuk mengoptimalisasikan kreativitas anak-anak dan remaja sebagai upaya pembentukan karakter yang direalisasikan oleh IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi berbasis pendidikan di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Kegiatan ini diwujudkan melalui kesenian dan literasi. Kesenian tersebut mencakup seni musik, seni rupa, seni teater, dan olah vokal. Sedangkan literasi terfokus pada bahasa dalam bentuk musikalisasi puisi bagi anak-anak dan remaja. Program ini juga bertujuan untuk membangun kapasitas organisasi mahasiswa yang menjadi eksistensi bagi perguruan tinggi. Metode Kegiatan PPK Ormawa ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk praktik. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan survei, mencari permasalahan yang ada, dan upaya mitigasinya. Hasil pengabdian ini yaitu Tim PPK Ormawa Musik Soul and Feel IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro telah berhasil membentuk sebuah komunitas seni di Desa Kawengan, Kecamatan Kedewan yang diresmikan pada Oktober 2022.

Abstract

The problem of this research is that lecturers' learning is less precise in using learning methods so that students are less active and learning outcomes or student scores are low. This study aims to determine the implementation of learning using the Moodle-assisted discovery learning method, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of Moodle learning. The research design uses descriptive with a qualitative approach. Sources of data were obtained from students majoring in economics education in 6th semester. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study learning using the Moodle-assisted discovery learning method can help e-learning learning for students and is very effective to apply to the learning process. In learning using Moodle, the lecturer provides explanations to students through PowerPoint and YouTube which are uploaded with the aim that students can understand the material at any time and students can discuss with their friends. The advantages of doing Moodle learning are that learning is easier, more relaxed, the material provided by lecturers is more concise and students find it easier to access subject matter, working on assignments takes quite a long time. The disadvantages of Moodle are that the learning process is less effective, there are students who have difficulty understanding the material because they do not get direct explanations from the lecturer, and the internet network is less supportive.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan korelasi antara topik yang menarikdari bacaan teks dan pemahaman bacaan siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitianini adalah penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua semesterketiga Jurusan Bahasa Inggris IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro yang terdiri dari dua kelas.Jumlah siswa adalah 84 siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah 42 siswa yang diambil denganteknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen dalam mengumpulkan data adalah kuesionerdan tes. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data topik bacaan yang menarik;sedangkan tes objektif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data kemampuan siswa dalampemahaman membaca. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah momenproduk pearson dan korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada korelasiyang signifikan antara skor kuesioner topik menarik dan skor tes membaca (r= 0,417)>rt adalah 0,304. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa topik membaca yang menarikadalah variabel penting bagi kemampuan siswa dalam pemahaman membaca.

Abstract

This study examines code-mixing and code-switching in PUELLA ID YouTube podcast videos. The main goals of this research are to describe the types of code-mixing and code-switching found in the PUELLA ID podcast, compare the English and Indonesian code-mixing and code-switching used by the guest stars, and identify the factors that cause code-mixing and code-switching in the podcast. The writer utilizes descriptive and qualitative research methods. The data sources consist of two selected podcast videos on YouTube PUELLA ID. In the first podcast video, two types of code mixing, insertion and alternation, are used. Only one kind of code-switching, intra-sentential, is present. The second podcast video also utilizes insertion and alternation code mixing, along with different types of code-switching: Tag, Inter-sentential, and Intra-Sentential. Insertion code-mixing and Intra-sentential code-switching dominate the types of code mixing and code-switching used in both podcast videos.

Abstract

Community Reading Park or Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) is a non-formal educational facility that provides literacy and cultural services to the community. Although TBMs are established based on four legal foundations, in practice, several TBMs face both external and internal challenges. TBM Karya Muda, located in Klepek Village, Sukosewu District, Bojonegoro Regency, also faces both types of challenges. They include a low number of visitors, a limited book collection, lack of variety in TBM programs, limited availability of the management team, minimal funding, lack of collaboration, and unmotivated children visitors who prefer gadgets over reading. Considering the environmental potential of TBM, with 17 schools in its surrounding area, this condition became the basis for the PkM Team to conduct a Spelling Bee Competition at TBM Karya Muda, involving 30 elementary school children from grades 2 to 6. The activity aims to foster a culture of literacy—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—in English from an early age. Spelling ability is a foundational skill for reading and writing literacies. The Spelling Bee Competition was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and closing. The results of the PkM activity show that the Spelling Bee Competition helped increase children's English vocabulary, improve memory, boost self-confidence, motivate healthy competition, and strengthen literacy in reading and writing.

Abstract

Teks tanggapan merupakan jenis tulisan yang mengemukakan opini, pendapat, atau tanggapan pribadi terhadap suatu topik atau teks yang telah dibaca. Kemampuan dalam menulis teks tanggapan penting sekali dimiliki oleh siswa sekolah menengah pertama. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dalam pengabdian ini adalah ingin melakukan pendampingan kepada siswa sekolah menengah pertama dalam menulis teks tanggapan dengan bantuan metode suggestopedia. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dimulai dari prapengabdian, kegiatan inti, dan pascapengabdian dengan melibatkan seluruh kelas IX siswa SMP MBS Al-Amin Bojonegoro. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa metode suggestopedia di dalam pembelajaran menulis teks tanggapan dapat dimulai dengan langkah 1) ice breaking, 2) tahap konser awal, 3) tahap konser akhir, dan 4) praktik. Simpulan di dalam penelitian ini adalah keempat langkah ini terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kondusif, membangun keyakinan siswa, mengulang materi dengan suasana santai, dan memberikan kesempatan praktik dalam menulis teks tanggapan

Abstract

abstrak— Di era globalisasi saat ini, transformasi besar sedang terjadi di seluruh dunia. Perubahan signifikan ini terwujud ketika individu memiliki tekad yang kuat untuk mencapai tujuan mereka. Pemenuhan aspirasi masyarakat bergantung pada kemampuannya dalam menyampaikan gagasan dan pendapat secara efektif kepada orang lain. Oleh karena itu, memperoleh keterampilan komunikasi menjadi keharusan untuk mewujudkan ambisi dan mencapai tujuan. Tujuannya adalah untuk menyajikan objek penelitian secara rinci dan memahami sifat sifat, dan modelnya secara komprehensif. Secara khusus, penelitian ini berfokus pada pemberian gambaran menyeluruh dan komprehensif tentang penggunaan lagu berbahasa Inggris dalam pengajaran keterampilan berbicara di MA Al Washilah Senori Tuban. Integrasi musik ke dalam proses pembelajaran menciptakan suasana yang menarik dan menyenangkan bagi siswa, yang secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi mereka.Kata kunci— Lagu Bahasa Inggris, Ketrampilan Berbicara, Kompetensi Komunikatif, Siswa SMA. Abstract— In the current era of globalization, profound transformations are sweeping across the globe. These significant changes manifest when individuals harbor a strong determination to accomplish their goals. The fulfillment of people''s aspirations hinges on their ability to effectively convey ideas and opinions to others. Consequently, acquiring communication skills becomes imperative for realizing ambitions and achieving goals.The goal is to present the research object in a detailed manner and understand its characteristics, traits, nature, and models comprehensively. Specifically, the study focuses on providing a thorough and comprehensive description of the use of English songs in teaching speaking skills for the tenth grade at MA Al Washilah Senori Tuban. The integration of music into the learning process created an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere for the students, which significantly enhanced their motivation and participation.Keywords— English Songs, Speaking Skills, High School Students.
