Abstract

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is the syndrome that occur in eyes cause of more interaction with computer. This research aimed to analyze the factors related to CVS in nursing students of Riau University with descriptive correlational design by cross sectional approach. Sampel consisted 209 students were choosen by proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data was collected by questionnaires and analize by univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square. The characteristic respondent showed that female (92.3%), duration of smartphone usage ≥ 3 hours/ day (93.3%), laptop <4 hours/ day (85.2%), eyes distance to smartphone <30 cm (62.2%), laptop <50 cm (80.3%), not to rest eyes when using smartphone ≥ 10 minutes/ hour (75.1%), laptop (66.7%). The result of research found that there was corellation between the several factors with CVS (p value < α=0,05) that is duration of smartphone usage (p value= 0,015), laptop (p value= 0.042), eyes distance to smartphone (p value= 0,034), laptop (p value= 0.030), rest the eyes when using smartphone (p value= 0.041), and there was no corellation with CVS is rest the eyes when using laptop (p value= 1.000). Abstract

A person with mental disorder is someone who experiences disturbances in thoughts, behaviors and feelings that are manifested in the form of a group of symptoms and cause obstacles in carrying out their functions. People with mental disorders are still discriminated against, ridiculed, shunned, ignored, ostracized and considered a disgrace in the community. This treatment is due to the lack of public knowledge of people with mental disorders. This study aims to determine the relationship of the level of knowledge on people's attitudes in people with mental disorders with a descriptive correlation research design. The research sample was 99 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using cluster sampling techniques. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire sheet that had been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used is univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using chi square test. The results showed that of the 99 respondents who had a good level of knowledge as many as 64 respondents (64.4%), respondents who had a positive attitude were 55 respondents (55.5%). The statistical test results obtained p value = 0,000 ˂ α (0.05), then Ho is rejected, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of people's attitudes towards people with mental disorders. It is recommended for the community to be able to increase knowledge so as to have a positive attitude to people with mental disorders.

Abstract

Mahasiswa jurusan keperawatan berisiko mengalami burnout yaitu kondisi kelelahan fisik, emosional, dan mental yang disebabkan oleh situasi penuh tuntutan dalam kurun waktu yang panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran burnout pada mahasiswa jurusan keperawatan di Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Besar sampel yaitu 243 responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase. Mayoritas responden berjenis kelamin perempuan (93,8%), kuliah sesuai dengan minatnya (73,6%). Jumlah responden angkatan 2017 sebanyak 66 orang (27,2%), 2018 sebanyak 59 orang (24,2%), 2019 sebanyak 58 orang (23,8%), dan 2020 sebanyak 60 orang (24,6%). Mayoritas mahasiswa mengalami burnout tingkat sedang (66,7%). Berdasarkan dimensi burnout, mayoritas mahasiswa mengalami burnout tingkat sedang pada dimensi kelelahan emosi (74,5%) dan penurunan pencapaian prestasi (62,1%) dan burnout tingkat ringan pada dimensi depersonalisasi (58,4%). Mayoritas mahasiswa mengalami burnout tingkat sedang.

Abstract

Mental nursing is the application of knowledge about human behavior, psychosocial, and personality theories. One that applies mental nursing is nursing students with several learning methods. The purpose of this study is what are the effective learning methods in mental nursing. this study used a literature review design. Whit articles 2016-2020 via Google Scholar, Smantic Scholar, and Portal Garuda. Results: The results of the literature review consist of methods, namely Blanded Learning, Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD), Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and Role Playing. From these 4 articles, there are variatios in learning methods using role play, group discussions and videos. The role play method can improve communication skills and abilities. While the STAD method can improve student achievement competence. Most of the articles reviewed used the role play method of learning in its implementation. So that all learning methods in the articles that have been reviewed can improve student abilities effectively. Keywords: Learning methods, mental nursing, students

Abstract

Introduction: the pandemic has caused a lot of stress for teachers. Especially with changing systems in teaching, including teachers in rural areas. Stress on teachers is caused by many things such as the individual, families, communities and the environment. This study aimed to describe the stress level and stressor of elementary school teachers in rural areas with a limited classroom learning in the era of the covid 19 pandemic. Methods: This study used a quantitative research design using a descriptive method. The sample included 68 teachers from 21 elementery schools in Siak Kecil District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia who were taken based on inclusion criteria using cluster random sampling technique. Results: the results showed that the majority of respondents were late adulthood (39.7%) and the majority of the respondents' gender was female (73.5%), education of respondents was bachelor degree (97.1%), marital status of married respondents (94.1%). On the subjects taught The majority are classroom teachers (67.6%), most teachers only teach in the same class (77.9%). From 68 Respondents, 45 teachers (66.2%) experienced severe stress and the majority of stressors related to the individual (57.4%). Conclusion: the stress level of elementery teachers in rural areas with a limited classroom learning in the era of the covid 19 pandemic was at a severe level with the majority of stressors are coming from individuals.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penyebaran COVID-19 yang semakin melonjak mengakibatkan terjadinya perubahan dari beberapa sector termaksud di bidang pendidikan, sehingga pendidikan sekarang mengalami banyak perubahan termaksud dalam metode pembelajaran yang menjadi online, begitu juga dengan pendidikan profesi Ners yang menerapkan system pembelajaran yang menjadi online. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengalaman mahasiswa profesi Ners FKp UNRI yang sedang melaksanakan praktik profesi di masa pandemi COVID- 19. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan menggunakan teknik sampling purposive yang melibatkan 3 partisipan yang merupakan mahasiswaNers yang sedang menjalani praktek profesi Ners di masa pandemi COVID-19. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur dan data dianalisis dengan tematik analisis. Hasil: Penelitian ini menghasilkan lima tema: kepatuhan penerapan protocol kesehatan, penerapan promosi kesehatan, tempat pelaksanaan profesi ners, metode pelaksanaan pembelajaran profesi ners dan aktivitas mahasiswa dalam melaksanakan profesi ners. Kesimpulan: dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa selama pelaksanaan praktik profesi di masa pandemi COVID-19, terdapat kegiatan proses keperawatan yang dilakukan di masyarakat yang dilakukan secara online dan offline berdasarakan protocol kesehatan COVID-19.

Abstract

Academic stress is a condition in which a student is unable to cope with the pressures and demands received while in a school. It elicits a different response to each individual. One such response is to the social interactions that are formed in each of these individuals. This study aims to investigate the relationship between academic stress and peer social interaction of first-year students. This study used a descriptive correlative research design with a cross sectional approach. Sample of this study was 133 respondents which selected using total sampling techniques. Data was collected using DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scales) questionnaires and social interaction questionnaires. The analysis used were univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi Square test. The results of this study showed that the majority of students experienced moderate stress as much as 55 (41.4%), and most had good social interactions with 74 (55.6%). In addition, results of Chi Square test showed that there is a significant correlation between academic stress and peer social interaction in first-grade students with p value (0.005) < alpha (0.05). The study results depict that students mostly able to overcome problems their experienced as well as pressures received. Therefore, it does not impact on their social interactions among other students.Keywords: Academic Stress, Social Interaction, Students

Abstract

Gadgets can emit several rays, including ultraviolet rays, X-rays, low-frequency electromagnetic radiation that can cause eye damage. Using gadgets for too long can affect eye health. One of the health impacts that can be caused by the duration of using gadgets is more than the maximum limit, one of which is eye complaints. This study aims to determine the relationship between the duration of gadget use and subjective complaints of eye health problems in students of the Faculty of Nursing, Riau University. Methods: This research is quantitative with a coss sectional design. The research location is at the Faculty of Nursing, Riau University. The sample technique of this research is purposive sampling, with a total sample of 30 people who meet the inclusion criteria. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate chi-square test. Results: Bivariate analysis The results of statistical tests using the chi square test, obtained p value 0.072 > 0.05, which means Ho failed to be rejected. Conclusion: There is no relationship between the duration of gadget use and subjective complaints of eye health problems in students of the Faculty of Nursing, Riau University. Abstract

Nursing professional education is the process of students becoming professional nurses. Students must have selfefficacy to achieve goals and face future challenges. This study aims to describe the self-efficacy of nursing profession students towards competence during online learning. This study used a descriptive design with a sample of 104 respondents who were taken using a total sampling technique. The analysis used is univariate analysis. The majority of respondents are 23 years old (69.2%), the gender of the majority are women as many as 92 students (88.5%), employment status is not yet working 102 people (98.1%), additional learning methods are discussions with friends as many as 72 students (27.9%) . The results showed that 63 students (60.6%) had moderate efficacy at the KMB/KGD stage, 32 students (62.7%) at the maternity stage, 27 students (52.9%) at the pediatric nursing stage. The efficacy of the high level dimension is that there are 53 students (51%) at the KMB/KGD stage, 27 students (52.9%) at the maternity stage, 31 students (60.8%) at the pediatric nursing stage. The efficacy of the medium strength dimension is that there are 52 students (50%) at the KMB/KGD stage, 27 students (52.9%) at the maternity stage, 28 students (54.9%) at the pediatric nursing stage. The efficacy of the generality dimension is high, namely there are 64 students (61.5%) at the KMB/KGD stage, 27 students (52.9%) at the maternity stage, 29 students (56.9%) at the pediatric nursing stage. The majority of students have moderate self-efficacy during online nursing professional practice. Keywords: Nursing profession; self efficacy; stage.

Abstract

Introduction: Health protocols are health procedures, rules, and standards that must be adhered to in order to anticipate the transmission of Covid-19. High school students should have high knowledge of health protocols to break the chain of spread of Covid-19. This study aims to describe the knowledge of high school students on health protocols. Methods: This study used a descriptive design with a sample of 86 respondents who were taken using a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire made by the researcher himself, the results obtained were r table (0.444) < r count (0.472-0.879 and crombach's negligence in this research questionnaire was 0.942. The data analysis used was univariate analysis. Results: The majority of respondents aged 17 years (33.7%) and the gender of the majority of women as many as 49 students (57%). The results of the study explained that 54 students (62.8%) had high knowledge of health protocols, high knowledge of 67 students (77.9%) wearing masks protocols, high knowledge 50 students (58.1%) of hand washing protocols, high knowledge of 68 students (79.1%) of social distancing protocols, high knowledge of 56 students (65.1%) of protocols avoiding crowds, high knowledge of 48 students (55.8%) of protocols reducing mobility. Conclusion: The majority of students have moderate knowledge of health protocols Suggestion: for further researchers to increase the number of samples in p research and examine the factors that influence the level of knowledge and behavior of students in implementing health protocols.Keywords: Knowledge, health protocol, high school students
