Abstract

Abstract: Riau Province has the largest aquatic forest area in Sumatra. One of aquatic forest area located in Buluh Cina Village. This village has a natural ecosystem, that is Buluh Cina Lake. The aim of this study is to describe species of aquatic plant in Tanjung Putus Lake as environment potency as the study source for applying environmental base learning. This study held on September untill November 2016. The sample in this study is community of aquatic plant in Tanjung Putus Lake. This descriptive study with purpossive sampling method applying a line transect combined with 1x1 m plotting started from shoreline to the deeper lake area. This study found 26 species of aquatic plant. These aquatic plant consist of two type of aquatic plant, those are submersed plant and root floating plant. While two other type of aquatic plant was not found in this lake. Some of aquatic plant are familiar to the Buluh Cina people.. This 26 species consist of 18 family and 18 ordo. Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this reasearch was to develop assessment tools based on class for Biology Science subject on VIIIth grade public Junior High School. This study held on January until March 2014. This kind of study was Research and Development. This development is based on ADDIE models which consists of 5 phase, they are Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. This subject of reasearch was KI dan KD and main materialis on VIIIth grade. This reasearch was analyzed by descriptive. Validity of assessment tools was determined by average score from validator. 3,6 for written assessment, 3,79 for behavior assessment, 3,86 for work assessment, 3,84 product assessment, 3,91 project assessment, 3,95 for self assessment, 3,95 for portofolio assessment and all were categorized in very valid. Based on result of reasearch can be concluded that validity result of assessment tools based on class for Biology science subject on VIIIth grade got very valid category and could be implemented in learning process.Keyword: Development Reasearch, Assessment Tools Based on Class, Biology Science SubjectWisuda Oktober

Abstract

Abstract:This study aimsto determine the quality of the design of written test instruments with a guided inquiry model based on scientific literacy on the material of the circulatory system in humans for eighth grade students of junior high school developed. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) with the stages of analyzing, design, and development, implementation, evaluation. This research is only carried out until the development stage. The analysis, design, development, internal validation and limited trial phase Iphase were carried out in FKIP Biology Education, University of Riau. External validation and limited trials II were conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. The study was conducted in April-October 2019. Data collection instruments in the form of validation sheets and written test instruments that have been designed. Validation is done to see the validity of the written test instrument developed, while the trial results aim to find out the quality of the questions, the use of language, the level of readability of the questions, reliability, level of difficulty, distinction, and the function of the question deception. The results of the validation of the written test instrument design aspects include material, construction and language of multiple choice questions and the description is very valid with a mean score of 3.41. The validity of the questions was also illustrated from the aspects of guided inquiry with a score of 3.27 in the form of multiple choice questions and a score of 3.21 in the form of description questions, and the aspect of scientific literacy was very valid with a mean score of 3.42 in the form of multiple choice questions and 3.38 in the form of description questions. The written test instrument with a guided inquiry model based on science literacy on the material of the circulatory system in humans for eighth grade students of SMP has been developed in the category of very valid and can be implemented in schools.KeyWords:Test Instruments, Science Literacy, Guided Inquiry Model

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to describe the percentage of scientific literacy dimensions and character education content in science textbooks for junior high school grade IX. This research was carried out in Study Program Biology Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Riau University in June-November 2019. This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis method. The research subjects is textbooks of Integrated Sciences for SMP/MTs grade IX, 2013 Curriculum revised 2018 published by Erlangga. The research instrument was the form of an assessment sheet of scientific literacy dimensions based on total of statements and the appearance of indicators along an instrument for data collection on character education content. The research was divided into 2 phases, that is the phase analysis of scientific literacy and inventory of character education content. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical methods. The results showed that highest percentage of dimensions of scientific literacy based on total of statements contained in dimensions of science as a way investigasting at 43,05%. Based on the appearance of the indicator, only the dimensions of science as the body of knowledge have good criteria with a percentage at 54%. The highest percentage of character education content is in value of hard work at 16.56%. For religious values, tolerance, love peace and social care are not found in the textbooks. The results of this research can be used in the development of science textbooks based on the content of dimensions of scientific literacy and the content of character education.Key Words: Scientific Literacy, Character Education, Textbook

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the level feasibility of biology learning book according to the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP) and level scientific literacy of biology learning book for 11th grade based on four dimensions, namely science as the body of knowledge, science as a way of thinking, science as a way of investigation and science and its interaction with technology and society. This study uses a quantitative approach with the content analysis method. The sample in this study is the Biology Learning Book for 11th grade by Irnaningtyas and Yossa Istiadi revised in 2016 curriculum 2013 which was selected by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained from the results of book feasibility and the level of scientific literacy by using book feasibility instruments according to the BSNP and a sheet of scientific literacy level analysis based on 4 dimensions. Stages of analysis are divided into 2 stages, namely the stage of book feasibility analysis and analysis of the level scientific literacy of biology learning book. Data analysis using descriptive statistical methods. The results of data analysis show that the level of feasibility in the analyzed learning book has been declared feasible according to BSNP. At the level of scientific literacy, only the scientific dimension as a body of knowledge gets a good category. These results can then be used as material in the development of learning books based on the content of 4 dimensions of balanced scientific literacy. Abstract: The purpose of this research is to develop the classroom-based assessmenton biology subjects for X grade Senior high school. Classroom-based assessmentinclude paper and pencil test, attitude assessment, performance assessment, productassessment, project assessment, self-assessment and portofolio assessment. Thedevelopment was conducted at Biology Education University of Riau and the limitingtest was conducted at MAN 2 Model Pekanbaru. The research held on January untilApril 2014. Research and Development (R & D) with ADDIE model was implementedin this research. Subjects consisted of four Basic-Competency on the X grade seniorhigh school. Validation sheet was used as the data collection instrument. Thisvalidation sheet was filled by the internal dan external validator. Collected datas wereanalyzed by descriptive statistics. Average results of the validity of class-basedassessment are: 3.6 for the paper and pencil test, 3.7 for attitude assessment, 3.7 forperformance assessment, 3.6 for product assessment, 3.6 for project assessment, 3.8 forself-assessment and 3.7 for portofolio assessment. On the last stage of the research, alimiting test on the X grade senior high school. Based on the research’s results can beconcluded that the development of classroom-based assessment on biology science for Xgrade senior high school student was done with the ADDIE model that consists of somephase, start from analyze, design, develop, and the last is implementation in a limitingtest. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce quality science literacy-based pop up books. This research was conducted at the Biology Education Laboratory of UR FKIP and SMPN 10 Pekanbaru in July 2020-February 2021. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). Media development is carried out according to the ADDIE model with the Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation stages. This research was only carried out until the Development stage by validating by validators and limited trial phase I by Biology Education Students, FKIP UR, and limited trial phase II by students of SMPN 10 Pekanbaru. The assessment of the pop up book media developed includes 5 aspects, namely aspects of content, language, presentation, overall appearance and scientific literacy. The mean result of validation based on scientific literacy gets a score of 3.60 in the very valid category. The mean results of the limited trial phase I get a score of 3.82 and stage II get a score of 3.83 in the very good category. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the science literacy-based pop up book media that has been developed are categorized as quality media and can be used on a large scale.Key Words: Pop Up Book, Science Literacy, Execression System

Abstract

Abstract : Biodiversity materials are many abstract concepts for learners. Learners can only imagine what the teacher says when explaining, so that learners have different responses to the knowledge described by the teacher. In this material, learners tend to only memorize the material alone, so that feel bored in learning and learning passively. The purpose of this research is to Produce Quality of Student Work Sheet (LKPD) with Discovery Learning (DL) Model on Biodiversity Material at grade Xon Senior High School. This research was conducted in Biology Education Program FKIP UR and Senior High School (SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru). The research was conducted onApril 2017 until November 2017. The type of this research is Development Research referring to R & D research approachused the ADDIE Model. There are 3 LKPD developed. The instruments of data collection in this study are LKPD assessment / validation sheets, and response questionnaires. After LKPD was developed, validated by 5 validators and then the first tested on 12 students of Biology Education Program FKIP UR, and the second testedon 20 studentsThe validation result shows that the score of feasibility aspect of the contents of 3 LKPD developed is 3.43 categories is ‘very valid’, the average score of design aspect is 3.48 categories is ‘very valid’, and the pedagogical aspect score is 3.88 categories is ‘very valid’. The average score of all aspects of all three LKPD is 3.41 categories is very valid. The results of the test I showed the average score 3.50 with very ‘good’ category. The results of the second test showed the average score of 3.61 with very ‘good’ category. LKPD with Discovery Learning Model (DL) on biodiversity material in grade X SMA is qualified and feasible to use.Keywords : Development of Student Work Sheet Discovery Learning (DL), Biodiversity

Assessment consists of seven graderoom-based assessment techniques. There are paper and pencil test, attitude, performance, product, project, self-assessment and portofolio. The development was conducted at Biology Education University of Riau and the limiting test was conducted at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. The research held on January until April 2014. Used research and Development (R & D) design with ADDIE model. Subjects consisted of four Basic Competencies (KD) in the XI grade Senior high school. Data were collected by filling the validity of the assessment sheet by each validator which consists of internal and external validators. Collected datas were analyzed by descriptive statistics. Average results of the validity of class-based assessment are: 3.6 for the paper and pencil test, 3.7 for attitude assessment, 3.7 for performance assessment, 3.6 for product assessment, 3.6 for project assessment, 3.8 for self-assessment and 3.7 for portofolio assessment. On the last stage of the research, a limiting test on the XI grade senior high school. Based on the research’s results can be concluded that the development of classroom-based assessment on biology science for XI grade senior high school student was done with the ADDIE model that consists of some phase, start from analyze, design, develop, and the last is implementation in a limiting test. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop quality student worksheets in terms of the implementation of the syntax of guided inquiry models and indicators of scientific literacy in the material of the circulatory system in humans for VIII grade students of junior high school. This research was conducted in two places, namely for the validation of student worksheets by the validator and a limited trial phase I was conducted at the Biology Education Campus of the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) of Riau University and a limited trial phase II of the student worksheets that had been developed was carried out at SMPN 4 Pekanbaru. When the research began in April-October 2019. This study used an Reasearch and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE’smodel and was carried out in 5stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In his research, we does by developments phase. Data collection instruments in the form of validation sheets and respondent sheets. The results of the LKPD validation with the guided inquiry model based on scientific literacy are at an average value of 3.51 with a very valid category. The results of a limited test score are 3.62 with a very good category. It can be conclude thatLKPD with a guided inquiry model based on science literacy is feasible to be implemented on a broader scale.KeyWords: Student’s worksheet, guided inquiry’s model, scientific’s literacy
