Abstract

The power of praise in the workplace can move employees from apathy or resentment to happiness and productivity. Reinforcement such as positive reinforcement makes people feel appreciated and encouraged, which can be motivating and rewarding. In this research, the writer researches IEC Malaka Medan that locates at Jalan Malaka no 29/59 Medan. IEC (International Education Centre) was the well-known image in English Education Centre. In conducting the research, the writer uses a questionnaire containing ten questions, with each question having five answers to be chosen, distributed to 30 respondents. The questions are designed by using interval data which uses a Likert Scale rating. For analyzing the collected data, the writer will use statistical formulas, which are correlation formulas for test whether it is valid. Cronbach's Alpha for testing reliability, Pearson's product moment for correlation test, normality test to identify whether the data is normal, determination formula and linear regression for identifying relationship between variables and z-test for hypothesis test. In analyzing data, the writer used some methods such as the validity test, the reliability test, the statistical data, the normality test, the correlation test, the determination test, the linear regression test, and the hypothesis test. The percentage of reinforcement towards employees' performance is 49.7% and the remaining 50.3% is impacted by other factors. The coefficient correlation between variable x and variable y resulted in 0.705, which means that there is a relationship between reinforcement and employees' performance at IEC Malaka Medan. Abstract

Cacat yang mencapai 800.000 batang dalam satu bulan adalah masalah besar bagi PT XYZ. Cacat ini disebabkan oleh kualitas rokok yang dibuat oleh pekerja sigaret kretek tangan (SKT) tidak sesuai dengan standar. Peningkatan kualitas diperlukan untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini, dan metode peningkatan kualitas yang digunakan untuk masalah ini adalah metode Six Sigma. Metode Six Sigma menggunakan langkah-langkah DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) untuk menganalisis dan menyelesaikan masalah. Berdasarkan langkah-langkah yang telah dilakukan, masalah terbesar yang ditemukan adalah tembakau terlalu basah atau terlalu kering. Masalahnya dapat diselesaikan dengan merancang alat bantu penyimpanan tembakau. Berdasarkan penerapan  alat bantu ini, nilai level sigma meningkat dari 4,55 sigma menjadi 5,27 sigma. Analisis keuangan dilakukan untuk menjustifikasi biaya perbaikan. Untuk mempertahankan standar baru, diagram kontrol p dirancang berdasarkan standar kualitas yang ditingkatkan.

Abstract

The personality individual factors that usually affect consumers‘ purchasing decisions include age or life cycle stage, job, economic condition, lifestyle and personality or self-image. The consumer‘s purchasing decisions related to goods depends on various factors such as brand, quality, after sales services, warranty, advertising, rebates, offers, discount, mode of payment, display, sales person behaviour, store location and many more. Grand Duck King Restaurant Medan, it has been confirmed that the number of consumers has been decreasing these recent months. It has been suspected that this problem is due to consumers‘ individual factors. The indicators of individual factors in this research were adopted by Rouzbahani, et.al (2013:1151) which include age and life cycle stage, job, economic condition, lifestyle, and personality or self-image and indicators of consumer‘s purchasing decisions indicators by Lopez (2012:127) which are frequency of transactions, consumer referral, Loyalty, repeat decisions. The population that the writer used is the consumers the writer doing research 1 day on 30th May 2017 at grand Duck King Cambridge Medan which are 101 people, by using Slovin‘s Formula, the sample size is 81 consumers, and use the simple random sampling technique which the consumers have same chance to be chosen as sample. The results from analysis are individual factors have effect on consumer‘s purchasing decision at Grand Duck Restaurant King Cambridge Medan and individual factors have a strong and positive effect on consumer‘s purchasing decisions at Grand Duck King Restaurant Cambridge Medan.

Abstract

Harga merupakan suatu ukuran nilai tukar bisa berupa uang atau barang untuk mendapatkan suatu produk yang diinginkan. Dalam menentukan harga suatu produk jasa atau barang, suatu perusahaan harus bijak, supaya bisa berhasil mencapai target bisnis yang dinginkan, sehingga mendapat keuntungan sesuai dengan harapan. Penetapan harga harus memperhatikan beberapa aspek dan strategi yang tepat. Dengan begitu harga yang ditetapkan dapat menarik minat konsumen dan mempengaruhi daya beli konsumen. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penetapan harga pada produk jasa atau barang yang diberikan perusahaan terhadap daya beli atau minat beli konsumen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif berupa studi literature pada bidang menajemen pemasaran. Metode penulisan artikel ilmiah ini adalah dengan metode kualitatif dan studi literature atau Library Research. Penetapan harga suatu produk barang atau jasa yang dilakukan perusahaan berpengaruh positif pada minat beli konsumen, sehingga hal tersebut berhubungan erat dengan daya beli konsumen. Meningkatnya daya beli konsumen pada harga yang ditetapkan perusahaan berdampak pada ketercapaian target perusahaan dan meningkatkan keuntungan dari perusahaan.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat merupakan salah satu pilar Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, disamping dharma pendidikan dan pengajaran serta dharma penelitian. Pengabdian masyarakat merupakan bagian integral tri dharma perguruan tinggi yang dalam pelaksanaannya tidak terlepas dari dua dharma yang lain serta melibatkan segenap sivitas akademik: dosen, mahasiswa, tenaga kependidikan serta alumni. Melalui pengabdian masyarakat, Institut Bisnis Informasi Teknologi dan Bisnis hadir ditengah-tengah masyarakat bangsa Indonesia. Salah satu bentuk pengabdian masyarakat bagi dosen yaitu terjun di lingkungan masyarakat untuk mengaplikasikan ilmu yang ditempa selama berkecimpung didunia pendidikan perkuliahan selama menjadi tenaga pendidik. Latar belakang munculnya kegiatan pengabdian ini berawal dari kegiatan survey Di SMP Swasta Toby Bethlehem mengidentifikasi adanya permasalahan tentang pengelolaan sampah didesa tersebut dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam membuang sampah pada tempat sampah karena kurangnya fasilitas tempat sampah di Desa tersebut. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut diharapkan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat memberikan solusi untuk memecahkan permasalahan tentang pengolahan sampah dan pembuatan tempat sampah sebanyak 10 Pcs tempat sampah yang murah sehingga dapat memotifasi masyarakat menerapkan pola hidup bersih.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on SMEs performance, perceived organizational support (POS) on organizational commitment, perceived organizational support (POS) on SMEs performance, organizational commitment on SMEs performance. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on SMEs Performance through mediation of organizational commitment, perceived organizational support (POS) on SMEs performance through mediation of organizational commitment.This study used a quantitative method, the respondents of this study were 380 UKM owners who were determined by the simple random sampling method. Online questionnaire questions are provided with answer options with rules based on a 5-point Likert scale. Online questionnaires were distributed to respondents using social media. All answers are tabulated for further processing to obtain results and conclusions. Data analysis in this study used structural equation modeling (SEM) with smartPLS 4.0 software tools. The stages of data testing are data validation and reliability tests and hypothesis testing.The variable of this research is the independent variable Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), Perceived Organizational Support (POS). The dependent variable is SME Performance and the mediating variable is Organizational Commitment. The results of this study indicate that organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) has a positive and significant effect on SMEs performance, perceived organizational support (POS) has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment , perceived organizational support (POS) has a positive and significant effect on SMEs performance, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on SMEs performance. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the variable Leadership and organizational trust, analyze the relationship between innovative work behavior (IWB) and organizational trust, analyze the relationship between Leadership and MSME performance, analyze the relationship between innovative work behavior (IWB) and MSME performance, and analyze the relationship between organizational variables. trust on MSME performance. This type of research is quantitative associative research, namely research that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables. The respondents of this study were 369 SMEs leaders in Jakarta who were determined by simple random sampling method. Research data was obtained by distributing questionnaires online via social media. Each research indicator was measured using a Likert scale of 1-5 points and the degree of agreement from strongly agree to strongly disagree. The analytical tool used in this research is PLS (Partial Least Square) based SEM with SmartPLS 3.0 software data processing tool. The results of the hypothesis test show that the Leadership variable has no significant effect on organizational trust, the innovative work behavior (IWB) variable has a positive and significant effect on organizational trust, the Leadership variable has a positive and significant effect on performance, the innovative work behavior (IWB) variable has a positive effect and significantly to performance, the organizational trust variable has not significant effect on MSME performance., Innovative work behaviour has no significant effect on performance through organizational trust, organizational trustdoes not mediate the relationship between Innovative work behaviour and performance.Leadership has no significant effect on performance through organizational trust, organizational trust does not mediate the relationship between Leadership on performance

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the variable leadership and organizational commitment, to analyze the relationship between the variable leader-member exchange and organizational commitment, to analyze the relationship between the variable leadership and performance, to analyze the relationship between the variable leader-member exchange and performance, and to analyze the relationship between organizational commitment and performance. This research method is a quantitative approach. The respondents of this study were 403 SMEs owners in Banten Indonesia. The data collection technique used by researchers is sampling with simple random sampling. The scale used in the study to fill in each question item uses a Likert scale with 5 (five) alternative answers, namely strongly agree, agree, undecided, disagree, strongly disagree. Data were obtained by distributing online questionnaires via social media. Analysis of research data using Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS software. In this study, the data analysis used was a validity test, a reliability test and a hypothesis test using SEM-PLS on 4 (four) variables. The results of this study are that leadership has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, leader-member exchange has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, leadership has a positive and significant effect on performance, leader-member exchange has a positive and significant effect on performance, organizational commitment not  significant effect on the performance of SMEs. Leadership has no significant effect on performance through organizational commitment, organizational commitment does not mediate the relationship between leadership and performance. Leader-member exchange has no significant effect on performance through organizational commitment, organizational commitment does not mediate the relationship between Leader-member exchange on performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS) and organizational trust, analyze the relationship between innovative work behavior (IWB) and organizational trust, analyze the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS) and performance, and analyze the relationship between innovative work behavior (IWB). ) on performance, analyzing the relationship between organizational trust variables and performance. This type of research is associative research, namely research that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables.
