Abstract

This research aims to find out the role of Public Relations through the Guest Experience Leader (GEL) in improving service at McDonald's Bengkulu. This research is qualitative research. To analyze the researcher used Ruslan Efendi's theoretical analysis technique (Communicator, Relationship, Back Up Management and Corporate Image). The research results show that there is a role for GEL in improving service at McDonald's Bengkulu. GEL plays a role as a communicator who can ensure customers get a good impression during their visit to McDonald's Bengkulu, GEL's role as a Relationship Shop GEL must be able to build positive relationships through a good approach to customers and mutual benefits, GEL's role as Back Up Management GEL must be able to inspire, motivating and providing team training if necessary so they can work better, as Corporate Image GEL plays a role in maintaining the good name of the company as best as possible

Abstract

The aims of this study to determine the Intercultural Communication Process in Traditional Marriage in Kota Medan Urban Village, South Bengkulu Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive research. The informants in this study amounted to 7 people consisting of 3 key informants and 4 main informants. The theory used in this study was the Theory of Intercultural Communication Process Aloliliweri, 2011:44. The results of the study show that: 1. Openness of Intercultural Marriage in marriage, the way of communicating uses or uses Indonesian, but occasionally there is the use of Javanese or pesemah language in the marriage so that everyone understands and understands more quickly in the implementation of the marriage. 2. Empathy There was mutual assessment of the couple and criticism of the decisions made by the couple in deciding something for the better in the future in the household. Each couple has a commitment in marriage, especially the problem of residence, some follow their husbands and some still live in their in-laws' house because of other circumstances and considerations. 3. Positive Attitude (positiveness) in a family, praise was reduced to please their partner in terms of dress or appearance even though it was important to add harmony to the family, it was one form of pleasant attention to their partner. 4. Supportive Attitude (supportiveness) there was mutual communication between husband and wife before taking action that must be done to avoid negative traits in acting, what is important is openness in any aspect of marriage. 5. Equality There is a change in attitude after marriage, more assertive, protective and caring for the family, both from the husband and the wife, there was no difference in attention that is differentiated from one another

Abstract

This research aims to describe the creative public relations strategy of the Bengkulu Province Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) in managing social media. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews with research informants. The informants in this study were 2 people. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis which consists of data reduction, presentation and conclusions. The research results show that the creative strategy that can be carried out by the public relations of the Bengkulu Province ESDM Service in managing social media instagram@esdmprovbengkulu is based on the theory presented by Oktafiandi (2018:6) which consists of creative brief, massage objective. targeting and branching. For creative briefs, this can be done by paying attention to several steps before creating content, such as the fact-finding, planning, communication and evaluation stages. The message objective aspect is to pay attention to what message you want to convey so that the content created attracts the audience's attention. This can be done by editing photos and video content as attractive as possible. For the targeting aspect, the target in creating Instagram content is the community, while branting can be seen from increasing followers which can be done by carrying out activities that are beneficial to the community so that it can increase followers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the virtual purchase motivation of Higgs Domino game players among millennials in Bengkulu City. The researcher also used the concept of Hedonism Motivation Theory according to Gultekin and Ozer (in Utami, 2017) which has 6 elements, namely Adventure Shopping, Gratification or relaxation shopping, Value Shopping, Social Shopping, Idea shopping and Role shopping. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The informants in this study amounted to six millennials in Bengkulu City. The results of this study indicate that there is a hedonistic motivation that encourages millennials to make virtual purchases on the Higgs Domino game. Adventure Shopping in this study is the informant will feel an adventure that can arouse enthusiasm when buying chips. Gratification or relaxation shopping in this study is informants can forget their problems and fatigue. Value Shopping in this study is informants are more interested in buying if the seller offers a discounted price. Social Shopping in this study is informants feel happy when buying chips and interacting with the seller. The idea of shopping in this study is that the informants play games because they follow the trend. Role shopping in this research is the informant sends the chip if his friend also sends the chip for him.

Abstract

This study aims to see the representation of obsession by showing repetitive thoughts and being obsessed with getting something desired. The methodology used in this study is descriptive qualitative with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method consisting of denotation, connotation and myth. Through the selection of scenes in which there were elements of obsessive violence, there is an obsession between mysterious men and women, indicated by various kinds of physical violence, such as murder, cutting off organs, hands and feet, and drugging women. A mysterious man is obsessed with a woman named Jo Kyung Min because he has a feeling of wanting to be near her. This violence also illustrates the distance from the norms of truth, ethics, and disrespect for others. Judging from the obsessive violence carried out by the man involving the closest person to Jo Kyung Min, his best friend at work and the person above his apartment being victims of physical violence, this mysterious man has psychopathic thoughts, and the desire of a man to add a woman against the opposite sex but unseen, so he does a strange thing which is to try to enter Jo Kyung Min's apartment and sleep next to her, because of an uncontrollable desire.

Abstract

Sarcasm is a figure of speech derived from irony and is harsher than irony. The main characteristic of sarcasm is that it always contains bitterness and reproach that is bitter, hurts the heart, and is not pleasant to hear. Through the film Warintil episode 186, the media was able to display a picture of the sarcasm that was uttered by the players. This study aims to describe the forms of sarcasm in the film Warintil episode 186. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using content analysis method. The data obtained for this analysis is obtained through several scenes in which there is an element of sarcasm. Then after choosing what sarcasm language is in the film, then determine what type of sarcasm is in the film. While the theory used is the content analysis theory of Holsti. The results showed that in the Warintil episode 186 film, there were 13 sarcasm quotes in the Warintil episode 186 film that fulfilled the unit of analysis where each sarcasm was shown in scenes 3:15 to 8:32. In the film Warintil episode 186, there are thirteen quotes that have the meaning of insulting/insulting.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Communication Planning in the moral development of students at SD Fatma Kenanga Foundation Bengkulu. This study uses a qualitative method using descriptive analysis. In this study, Scoot M. Cutlip & Center's communication planning theory is used as an analytical tool. The results of the study that communication planning plays an important role in fostering student’s morals at Fatma Kenanga Foundation Bengkulu as follows: Fact Finding, regarding the findings of student’s problems related to moral development. The problem is that there are still students who are still rude, speak impolite, and are indifferent to their teachers. Planning, the planning program implemented by SD Fatma Kenanga Bengkulu is communication planning using 5 language continuums and the application of children's character pillars. tolerant and peace-loving. Communication Action, in terms of communication action, teachers apply a 5-continuum language learning system in classroom learning. This 5 language continuum is very effectively applied to students at SD Fatma Kenanga Bengkulu. Evaluation, communication planning programs are always evaluated by holding regular meetings with the principals and teachers. For student evaluation, namely with report cards, questionnaires or questionnaires distributed to parents and peers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of Media Center communication at the Bengkulu Province Diskominfo about Bengkulu Free from Corona Virus. The research method used is qualitative research and data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. In this analysis method, the Wilbur Scram approach is used in the message component. The results show that the effectiveness of the message conveyed by the Bengkulu Province Diskominfo through the Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah contains about the corona virus, namely the message must be designed, the message must be directed to the address, the message must be according to personal needs and the message must suggest a proper need.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of word of mouth communication through WhatsApp media in increasing tourist visits. In this study, researchers used qualitative research methods. The object of research is the Bride Waterfall Tour which is located in Bukit Bengkulu Tengah Village. The key informants in this research were the Head of Bukit Village, Karang Taruna, the Entrance Guard, the main informants were visitors. The results of this study are that Word Of Mouth Communication through Whatsapp media in increasing tourist visits is quite effective as a promotional medium in increasing visitor interest. The level of success of Word Of Mouth Communication in increasing tourist visits to Bridal Waterfall through social media as a means of promotion can be seen from the fulfillment 5 elements of Effectiveness according to (Jalaludin Rakhmat, 2008:45), namely 1. visitors understand the purpose of posting on Whatsapp Media which aims to invite tourists to come visit, 2. Pleasure where visitors who see posting photos of beautiful waterfall views are accompanied by photo spots those who are interested are interested in coming to visit the Bridal Waterfall immediately, 3. Affecting the attitude in which visitors search for information on the whereabouts of the Bridal Waterfall, 4. This improves social relations where visitors invite friends or family to go visit together, 5. Follow up I want to visit the location of the bridal waterfall and enjoy the view immediately. The results of the author's observations show evidence of the number of tourists who come to visit each month as seen from the number of WhatsApp posts or snaps that leave an impression on visitors in the form of photos or videos.
