Abstract

Sarcasm is a figure of speech derived from irony and is harsher than irony. The main characteristic of sarcasm is that it always contains bitterness and reproach that is bitter, hurts the heart, and is not pleasant to hear. Through the film Warintil episode 186, the media was able to display a picture of the sarcasm that was uttered by the players. This study aims to describe the forms of sarcasm in the film Warintil episode 186. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using content analysis method. The data obtained for this analysis is obtained through several scenes in which there is an element of sarcasm. Then after choosing what sarcasm language is in the film, then determine what type of sarcasm is in the film. While the theory used is the content analysis theory of Holsti. The results showed that in the Warintil episode 186 film, there were 13 sarcasm quotes in the Warintil episode 186 film that fulfilled the unit of analysis where each sarcasm was shown in scenes 3:15 to 8:32. In the film Warintil episode 186, there are thirteen quotes that have the meaning of insulting/insulting.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the reasons for using the Tantan application in active users of the Tantan application who have worked, to determine the self-disclosure of Tantan application users, and to determine the obstacles of Tantan users in finding a partner. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The number of informants in this study were 6 people. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique which was carried out in 3 stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. This research reveals that the reason Tantan users are just for fun and just want to make friends from online dating apps. Self-disclosure through Tantan is done to feel closer and more comfortable in the stage of meeting new people. The self-disclosure made by Tantan users who were informants in this study were in the form of age, occupation, hobbies, experiences, family circumstances, and love. The obstacles that Tantan users can find in finding a partner are busy work, easily boredom, closed nature and difficulty opening up.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of communication in the mass of the application of the Covid-19 New Normal protocol in the V hamlet of Sidoluhur village, Seluma district. This research method is fleld research with a qualitative approach. The data was collected by means of observation, interview and documentation techniques. The theory used in this study is the Effendy Communication Pattern, which states that there are three patterns of communication, namely one-way, two-way, and multi-direction. The resource persons of this research were the Sidoluhur Village Government and the Dusun V. Community. The results showed that the Communication Pattern between the Sidoluhur Village Government and the Dusun V Community was a One-way Communication Pattern because in carrying out prevention socialization there was no direct interaction and mass gathering. This can be seen from the socialization activities carried out but it has not received a good response from the people of Dusun V Sidoluhur Village. The factors that cause a lack of public awareness about the importance of good communication patterns during the Covid-19 New Normal are internal factors in the community itself.

Abstract

The research objective entitled terrorism in the news frame (framing analysis of the news of the legal verdict of inmate terrorism Abu Afif on detiknews.com as the online media edition September 13 2018)was to find out how detiknwes.com as the online media framed the news of Abu Afif terrorist prisoners. This study focuses on reporting on the legal verdict of inmete terrorism prisoner Abu Afif. This research is aqualitativ content analysis research. The method used is framing analysis using the zhongdang pan and gerald M. Kosicki models. The flaming method is used to analyze the text of the media because there is a prominence of certain infotmation. Based on the results of the analysis of graming news developed by detiknews.com on the news of Abu Afifs convictions by means of: selection of news titles, selection of news sources, selection detiknews.com in highlighting news tends to play neutral and not to do analysis and sharp reviews. Framing detiknews.com raises legal issuse, and has nothing to do with politics and religion. Therefore, the frame used by detiknews.com is the legal frame.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the meaning of the symbol of the performance in Pencak Silat traditional marriage ceremonies in the people of Desa Tengah Padang, Talang Empat sub-district, Bengkulu Tengah Regency. This research is a qualitative study in which the data collected are in the form of words, pictures, and not numbers. The research was carried out in the Central Village of Padang, Talang Empat sub-district, Bengkulu Tengah Regency. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The instrument in this study is the researcher himself, that is, the researcher plans, conducts the research, and collects data, analyzes, presents data, and draws conclusions. Pencak silat was originally recognized as an embodiment of practical martial arts and performance art. In the Central Village of Padang, Talang Empat Pencak Silat Subdistrict, it was shown as an entertainment when the family wanted to hold a wedding and an official event, the community performed the traditional Pencak Silat art in the event "when the Lembak tribal wedding ceremony took place. The forms of presentation of Pencak Silat include various movements of Pencak Silat themselves over the opening movements of Pencak Silat Art, Offering Dance Movements, Swords, Flavors, Spells and Rabana. The meaning of the symbol consisting of the act of forming implies an attitude of openness that must be possessed by someone.

Abstract

This study aims to see what punk means in the movie Bomb X City. This study uses a qualitative method generate descriptive data. The grand theory in this study uses the semiotics of Roland Barthes which consists of denotation, connotation and myth. The results of this study proves that the meaning of punk in the movie Bomb X City is punk not a group of young people who are always in the environment. Their styles are tattoos, piercings, all black clothes and colored hair only as a form of expression of the young people themselves and according to the author it is owned in everyone including The Preps.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the political communication strategy of the golongan Karya (golkar) party in regional head elections. Data retrieval techniques that researchers use are interviews, documentation, and observation. Data collection techniques by purposive sampling by taking informants as many as 3 people. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method using the positioning theory from adam nursal (andianus pito: 2013) consisting of 1) policy is an offer of work programs delivered by candidates to the pubic 2)person is a candidate who has high quality and track record 3). This party is an apolitical product that has been done by the Golkar party 4). Presentation is the presentation of work programs submitted by the golkar party to the pubic directly. The results of the research and discussion that the positioning theory carried out by the DPD golongan Karya (Golkar) party is able to take sympathy and can influence the message conveyed to the public.

Abstract

The phenomenon of early marriage is a problem that often occurs and is considered normal by adolescents in Central Bengkulu district which is included in the category of the top three cases of early marriage in Bengkulu province in 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the self-concept of teenagers marrying young with peers in Kertapati village. Homecoming. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The theory used is William Brooks (2017: 108), namely the factors that influence a person's self-concept. The results of the study show that the self-concept of adolescents who marry young with their peers is formed through their first view of themselves which assumes that they are ready to marry even though they are still young, this is evidenced by changes in attitudes that adjust their roles and status as married. Second, reactions and responses from other people can shape the self-concept of young married couples developing through the interaction of married couples with the community. The self-concept is formed from the learning process by understanding the reactions and responses of neighbors, village heads and BMA leaders so that married couples participate in socializing and participating in society. Third, the self-concept of young married couples formed from their roles as husband and wife in the household has an influence in the formation of a positive self-concept, this is also influenced by the role of parents, peers and the environment. So at first the self-concept of teenagers marrying young with peers is a negative self-concept, but it develops after marriage into a positive self-concept because they are able to solve their own problems and have participated in their environment.

Abstract

Watching movie is one of the communication activities. The messages that are found to be interpreted by the audience are known as ideologies. Nowadays, the patriarchal ideology in movies often creates criticism in society. This study examines the representation of gender discrimination and patriarchal culture on movie of Mulan 2020 using a qualitative descriptive method. The data analysis technique used the semiotics of Roland Barthes. The results of the research on movie of Mulan 2020 show the condition of Chinese society in the Tang dynasty, dominated by men and there are restrictions on women's movements. There are four forms of representation of gender discrimination. The results found are subordination, marginalization, stereotypes, and violence. Mulan's character is represented as having freedom which refers to existentialism feminism.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Communication Planning in the moral development of students at SD Fatma Kenanga Foundation Bengkulu. This study uses a qualitative method using descriptive analysis. In this study, Scoot M. Cutlip & Center's communication planning theory is used as an analytical tool. The results of the study that communication planning plays an important role in fostering student’s morals at Fatma Kenanga Foundation Bengkulu as follows: Fact Finding, regarding the findings of student’s problems related to moral development. The problem is that there are still students who are still rude, speak impolite, and are indifferent to their teachers. Planning, the planning program implemented by SD Fatma Kenanga Bengkulu is communication planning using 5 language continuums and the application of children's character pillars. tolerant and peace-loving. Communication Action, in terms of communication action, teachers apply a 5-continuum language learning system in classroom learning. This 5 language continuum is very effectively applied to students at SD Fatma Kenanga Bengkulu. Evaluation, communication planning programs are always evaluated by holding regular meetings with the principals and teachers. For student evaluation, namely with report cards, questionnaires or questionnaires distributed to parents and peers.
