<![CDATA[The Name of the Rose, a detective novel, is set by some issues on librarianship during the Middle Age in Europe. By using discourse analysis approach, I try to know how far the concept of the librarianship was understood at that time-in the novel-based on the understanding of some concepts, starting from "library", "development system", "collection handling", which includes "classification", "censorship system" and "librarians' professionalism", until some matters on borrowing and using collection. Besides, this analysis is aimed at identifying cultural values related to the librarianship. The conclusion shows that the librarianship has an important role in providing suspense elements in a detective novel.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. This study examines the effect of job descriptions and capability specifications on the information seeking behaviour patterns of policy analysts at the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform. Data Collection Methods. Data was gathered via questionnaires. The respondents were 118 policy analysts across beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Data Analysis. Research data were analysed using PLS-SEM. Results and Discussion. The study reveals that the job descriptions had a positive impact on the policy analysts’ information-seeking habits at the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform. However, the capability specifications did not show any substantial positive effect. Conclusion. The research concludes that job descriptions play a crucial role in shaping the information-seeking behaviour of policy analysts, whereas the impact of capability specifications remains insignificant. The study further suggests several stakeholders responsible for managing information, like libraries, should take an active role in handling the data produced by policy analysts from various units. This would help the sustainable use of such data in the creation of public policies.]]>

<![CDATA[Intellectual capital has a role in disseminating information in libraries, this is because the process of disseminating information cannot only rely on library materials. The wider the intellectual capital owned, the more information that can be disseminated. Intellectual capital consists of human capital, structural capital, and relational capital. The librarian is the actor who disseminates information in the Elementary School Library, the information that is disseminated should be correct and can be accounted for. This study aims to identify the role of intellectual capital for librarians in disclosing information in elementary school libraries. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Selection of informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods in this study were interviews and observation. The results showed that librarians' intellectual capital consisting of human capital, structural capital, and relational capital played a role in disseminating information in the SDIA 61 library. Human capital played a role in the information assistance process, structural capital played a role in the process of preparing information, and relational capital played a role in therapeutic techniques information and the type of information disseminated]]>

<![CDATA[The news media assumes a strategic role in disseminating information. The news media harbors specific objectives when reporting on an event. Lately, the media has extensively covered instances of alleged data leaks from PeduliLindungi app users. This study endeavors to identify the framing employed by online media outlets such as Detik.com, CNNIndonesia.com, and Tribunnews.com in their coverage of the case. The analysis was conducted using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis model. According to the research, the media not only imparts information but also oversees the management of personal data by data controllers and enlightens the public, who are data owners, about personal data protection. The analysis results reveal similarities in the framing of the three online media outlets in terms of (a) problem definition and (b) problem cause. However, there is a distinction between elements (c) determining decisions or moral values and (d) problem-solving. Detik.com and CNNIndonesia.com frame their reporting to provide equal prominence to both data controllers and owners, whereas Tribunnews.com's reporting framework favors data controllers. Based on the research findings, it is plausible to conclude that the framing employed by the three online media outlets is factual.]]>

<![CDATA[The emergence of generative AI technology which has provided new experiences for technology practitioners in searching for information to obtain professional information needs and complete their tasks, needs to be studied further as an effort to anticipate various impacts and potentials that may occur. Therefore, research is needed that identifies the use of generative AI technology in the information behavior patterns of technology practitioners at the start-up company PT XYZ. This research used qualitative with phenomenological approach. Based on the experiences of the three informants when using generative AI to search for information, the informants had different needs, but the informants had positive experiences in using generative AI to search for information, so that it could be an alternative solution to the needs and problems they experienced. Informants have varied experiences in searching for information, and in some contexts there are even experiences of using similar strategies. Several strategies from the informants' search experiences consisted of using simple prompts, using prompts that were supported by additional context, and using prompts that contained scenarios and narratives. The information seeking behavior pattern of technology practitioners who uses generative AI in PT XYZ were identified as very varied based on their task and job functions, both in terms of needs and the search strategies they used.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penerapan berbagi pengetahuan di Perpustakaan di lingkup Kementrian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) wilayah DKI Jakarta. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi makna pada proses berbagi pengetahuan yang dilakukan oleh staf perpustakaan dan faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen, selama Februari hingga April 2019. Penentuan informan menggunakan snowball sampling, dan diperoleh 10 informan dari enam perpustakaan di lingkup KKP wilayah DKI Jakarta. Data dianalisis dengan membuat pengelompokan berdasarkan kategori berdasarkan konsep berbagi pengetahuan, yang kemudian diinterpretasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan berbagi pengetahuan telah diterapkan oleh masing-masing staf perpustakaan sejak lama namun tidak terstruktur. Penerapannya dilakukan melalui sarana formal seperti Sinau SLiMS, Bimbingan Literasi, Rapat, dan Forum, dan sarana informal melalui diskusi, media sosial seperti whatsapp dan email. WAG dimanfaatkan secara lebih maksimal. Faktor yang mendorong staf dalam berbagi dipicu oleh right sizing organisasi yang mengubah struktur organisasi. Hilangnya fungsi pepustakaan mempengaruhi anggaran, jabatan, dan berkurangnya jumlah sumberdaya manusia di dua perpustakaan; berkurangnya kegiatan berbagi pengetahuan antar staf perpustakaan; minimnya imbalan yang berdampak pada turunnya motivasi staf dalam berbagi pengetahuan. Simpulan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan berbagi pengetahuan oleh staf Perpustakaan berjalan kurang efektif. Hal tersebut terlihat dari tidak adanya kebijakan danprogram khusus, sehingga berdampak pada hilangnya rasa keterikatan atau tanggung jawab untuk melakukan kegiatan berbagi pengetahuan. Sarannya adalah organisasi perlu menciptakan kebijakan atau program khusus yang memungkinkan staf membangun keterikatan/rasa tanggung jawab dalam berbagi pengetahuan; menciptakan database atau sistem informasi yang berorientasi pada pemustaka yang mampu menangkap pengetahuan tacit dalam kognisi staf dan mampu mengakomodasi diskusi online; serta menambah jumlah staf perpustakaan.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi praktik transfer pengetahuan tacit dalam pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi Stimlog Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu observasi, wawancara semi terstruktur menggunakan focus grup discussion, dan analisis dokumen. Penelitian dilakukan selama empat bulan. Pemilihan informan dengan purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pengelompokan data, analisis, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik transfer pengetahuan tacit yang didasarkan pada metode SECI yang meliputi sosialisasi, eksternalisasi, kombinasi, internalisasi, menunjukkan bahwa tahap sosialisasi dan tahap internalisasi merupakan tahap yang utama. Kedua tahap memberi pemahaman yang baik pada staff STIMLOG sehingga mereka mampu menjalankan tugasnya dalam mengawasi online menggunakan e-learning dengan lebih baik. Praktik transfer pengetahuan tacit dalam kedua tahap tersebut dilakukan berdasarkan pengalaman psikomotorik. Transfer pengetahuan tacit menggunaan zoom dan wa group dengan memberikan tutorial dan pelatihan dalam menggunakan e-learning untuk mengawas ujian daring.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini membahas representasi profesionalisme pustakawan dalam mengelola perpustakaan pada film pendek Project: Library. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi representasi profesionalisme pustakawan dalam mengelola perpustakaan dalam film melalui metode semiotic. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada analisis sintagmatik, film ini menggunakan alur maju dan profesionalisme pustakawan untuk mengeluarkan perpustakaan dari masalah kebangkrutan dan penggelapan dana terdapat pada 13 sekuen dar 23 sekuen utama. Paradigmatik menunjukkan bahwa profesionalisme pada 3 tokoh pustakawan memiliki nilai keterbukaan dan kerjasama. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa profesionalisme pustakawan direpresentasikan sebagai pustakawan yang lemah dalam memahami fungsi denda, yang bukan dipandang sebagai sarana pendisiplinan pengguna dalam mengembalikan koleksi, tetapi dianggap sebagai sumber pemasukan untuk mencegah kebangkrutan. Namun profesionalisme juga direpresentasikan bahwa dengan menerapkan etika profesi, pustakawan mampu mencegah mereka bersikap negatif, sehingga pada akhirnya mereka dapat mengungkap kebenaran]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of the research is to identify information audit practices in institutional repository services at the DPR RI Library. The research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The result is that there are clearly organized procedures and task instructions, so that decision making is easy and activities run well. Collection selection has been adjusted to the information needs of users. The conclusion shows that the audit practice found that the flow of information was running well, supported by smooth division of work and communication between coordinators and staff.]]>

<![CDATA[This research seeks to understand the process of action of expert staff of Legislative Assembly of Mahardhika in fulfilling its duties and functions namely decision making by considering public opinion, as well as a means of building the image of member of state in expressing itself personally and institution. This research uses case study method with qualitative approach. Informants were determined based on purposive sampling method and obtained five people. The results of this study indicate that in the knowledge transfer through social media in the Legislative Assembly of Mahardhika done based on the understanding of the team of expert staff that social media is associated with the concept of the corporation or organization which is interpreted as a medium that has the purpose to provide information to the public in accordance with the existing moment, while the purpose of using social media by expert staff is more aimed at reaches the wider community. The application of knowledge transfer by expert staff through social media is done in five steps, namely intermediation, externalization, internalization, cognitive, and evaluation. The intermediation step, ie matching efforts between the communication agenda and the existing subject trend, is the most important and sustainable step. Social media that is the most effective in disseminating information to the public is Facebook, followed by Twitter and Instagram.]]>
