Abstract

This research was motivated by the determination of a fatwa on the ability to invest in gold as stated in the DSN fatwa Number: 77/DSN-MUI/V/2010 concerning Buying and Selling Gold Non-Cash. Therefore, the author analyzes what are the postulates underlying the determination of the DSN Fatwa NUMBER: 77/DSN-MUI/V/2010 and how relevant is the ability to invest in gold from the perspective of Sharia Economic Law. The method used according to its type is literature review and includes normative legal research. Meanwhile, the nature uses descriptive analysis research. The results of the study show that , first, the evidences underlying the determination of the Fatwa of DSN Number: 77/DSN-MUI/V/2010, namely Q.S al-Baqarah/2:275, the hadith of the narration of Ibn Majah and al-Baihaqi, Muslims, Abu Daud, Tirmizi, Nasa'i, the Rules of Ushul and the Rules of Fiqh, the fatwa of Ibn al-Qayyim, the fatwa of Imam Ibn Taymiyah, the fatwa of Shaykh 'Ali Jumu'ah, the fatwa of Shaykh Wahbah al-Zuhaily. So that these postulates become the basis for gold investment through the non-cash buying and selling of gold using murabahah contracts, buying and selling wakalah and rahn as long as gold is not an official medium of exchange (money), Second, gold investment based on Fatwa DSN NUMBER: 77/DSN-MUI/V/2010 concerning the non-cash buying and selling of gold if reviewed from the perspective of sharia economic law where the buying and selling transactions are non-cash and there is a delay in the receipt of goods to be traded is relevant according to the benefit of the ummah considering that gold is a good (sil'ah) that is sold and bought just like ordinary goods and is no longer tsaman (price, means of payment, money). Moreover, humans really need to buy and sell gold in installments. Gold has also been shaped into jewelry transformed into clothes and goods, and is not a tsaman (price, means of payment, money). So that there is no riba (in the exchange of buying and selling) between jewelry and the price (money), just as there is no riba (in the exchange of buying and selling) between the price (money) and other goods, even though it is not of the same type.

Abstract

Air Manis Padang Beach is one of the popular beach attractions in West Sumatra. Apart from enjoying the natural panorama and waves, this beach cannot be separated from the legend of Maling Kundang. This sweet water beach has an unspoiled natural atmosphere. Plastic waste management in the Air Manis beach area aims to increase public awareness regarding the negative impact of plastic waste on the environment and the importance of maintaining beach cleanliness. Plastic waste management is a priority program based on the condition of the most abundant and frequently encountered piles of plastic waste. Therefore, local people and tourists will better understand the negative impact of plastic waste on the environment. And it can encourage a reduction in the amount of plastic waste that is thrown away carelessly, thereby reducing pollution in coastal areas. In this way, the beach will become more beautiful and attractive for tourists, thereby having a positive impact on the local tourism sector. The method used is an educational and participatory approach through socialization, discussions, quizzes activities, giving out door prizes. This research involved 10 respondents consisting of local communities, tourist visitors and tourism business actors. The research results show that this outreach increases public awareness and understanding of the importance of disposing of waste in the right place, as well as Pancasila ethical values such as environmental concern, social responsibility and shared awareness. This activity has a positive impact on the environment and quality of life of the surrounding community, as well as increasing awareness of the importance of environmental conservatio

Abstract

The assessment of denture plaque can provide valuable information regarding the status of denture hygiene. Denture hygiene is strongly influenced by the patient's socioeconomic condition and the duration of denture use. The commonly used material is the heat cure acrylic resin, which can naturally increase the surface roughness if used for a long time. To determine the differences in the formation of plaque in the denture intaglio in denture use duration. As many as 14 (fourteen) respondents as research subjects used the heat-cured acrylic resin denture and came to one of the Primary clinics in Banda Aceh between April-May 2020 (During the COVID-19 Pandemic). These subjects were divided into three groups, namely 1 year, 1-3 years, and three years. In this study, the assessment of denture plaque score was conducted by the visual plaque assessment method. The colored area was the intaglio denture area, which was left for 5 minutes. The images obtained were converted into the Tarbet index (Score 1-4). The study showed that each group's denture plaque scores had different denture plaque scores. The highest denture plaque scores were found in dentures used 1-3 years. Compared to 1 year and 3 years of use. The duration of use can affect the formation of denture plaque

Abstract

Candida albicans (C. albicans) is the main agent in pathogenesis of oral candidiasis, and also the cigarette smoke is one of predisposing factors of C. Albicans virulence, mainly in biofilm formation that it the role as the initiator of adhesiononoral mucosal. This research aimed to identify the effect of Cigarette smoke condensate (CSC) on biofilm formation of C. albicans. Candida albicans was sensitized with CSC kretek and non-kretek that shown the increase of biofilm formation (p0,05) compared control, specifically in 24 hour. Its related with massa of biofilm formation that seem by microscope (400x) and also CSC non kretek better than CSC kretek in biofilm formation of C. albicans, mainly in 24 and 48 hours, that provisional, in 12 hours were the most dominant biofilm figuration of C. albicans sensitized by CSC kretek, although it intensity is lower than 24 hours. The research was concluded that CSC can be trigger to enhancement of biofilm formation of C. albicans in 24 hours and also CSC non kretek better than CSC kretek.Keyword: Candida albicans, Cigarrete smoke condensate, Biofilm

Abstract

AbstractEnterococcus faecalis is a facultative anerobic bacterium which can causesecondary periapicalinfection and is very resistant to numerous antimicrobial substances normally used during the rootcanal treatment. Earthworm (Lumbricusrubellus) possess antimicrobial peptide, known as Lumbricin-1 which is known tohinder the growth of Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria as well as fungi, but rarely caused resistance. This research was an experimental laboratory study conducted to observethe antibacterial activity of Lumbricin-1 contained in earthworm powder towards the growth of E.faecalis in vitro. Enterococcusfaecalis was cultured on CHROMagar VRE media and incubatedanaerobically for24-48 hours in the temperature of 37C. The bacterium was identified by observingthe colour of the colony of the bacterium growing on the CHROMagarVRE medium and Gramstaining, while antibacterial activity test was performedusing disk diffusion method. Statisticalanalysis using one way ANOVA and Duncan test showed that there was a significant difference (p 0,05) between test and control group. The result of the study showed that earthworm powderpossessed strong antibacterial activity towards the growth of Enterococcusfaecalis.Key words: Enterococcus faecalis, Lumbricus rubellus, antimicrobial peptide, Lumbricin-1

Abstract

AbstractThe major cause of endodontic failure is the survival of microorganisms in the root filled teeth.Enterococcus faecalis (E. faecalis) is primary bacterium in patients with post treatment endodonticinfection because Ca(OH)2 as a medicament unable to eliminate this bacteria. Propolis, sometimescalled bee glue, is a natural resinous substance collected by honey bee from plants. Propolis containsmany flavonoids and other compounds like tannin, steroid, and essential oil that have antibacterialproperties. This study was aimed to clarify the antibacterial activity of propolis extracts against E.faecalis. In this laboratory experimental study, natural propolis from bee hives was extracted bymaceration method and 96% ethanol solvent. Propolis that had been phytochemicals test, was testedusing Standard Plate Count (SPC) method to know the antibacterial activity it has. Results showed adecrease colony of E. faecalis after treated with various concentrations of propolis extract. The highestquantity of colonies was founded in concentration 20% is 74.7 x 106 CFU / mL and the least quantityof colonies at a concentration 100% is 7.3 x 106 CFU / mL. Conclusion of this study is natural propolisextract from the bee hives showed antibacterial activity against of E. faecalis.Keyword: Endodontic treatment, Enterococcus faecalis, propolis, bee hives
