Abstract

Peternakan adalah kegiatan mengembangbiakkan dan membudidayakan hewan ternak untuk mendapatkan manfaat dan hasil dari kegiatan tersebut. Sebagian besar peternak di Indonesia masih menggunakan cara tradisional/ konvensional dalam beternak. Bagi peternak berskala besar hal tersebut tentunya menjadi tugas yang sulit untuk menjaga hewan ternak sepanjang waktu. Pemberian pakan, minum, desinfektan, dan pembersih kotoran masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga menyita banyak tenaga dari para peternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodifikasi sistem kandang ayam cerdas sebelumnya agar dapat memberikan pakan, minum, disinfektan, dan pembersih kotoran secara otomatis sehingga peternak tidak perlu datang ke kandang secara langsung. Sistem tersebut memerlukan komponen-komponen yang menggunakan sumber daya listrik yang besar sehingga penggunaan Solar Panel (Tenaga Surya) sebagai sumber daya listrik dapat menghemat penggunaan listrik pada alat kontrol yang dibuat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Solar System sebagai sumber daya listrik utama pada kandang ayam cerdas yang dibuat berhasil diaplikasikan untuk menyalakan serta menjalankan semua aktivitas yang telah dijadwalkan pada alat. Mekanisme pembersih kotoran kandang yang telah dibuat dapat bekerja sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditentukan. Pemberian pakan, minum, disinfektan, dan pembersih kotoran dapat dipantau melalui aplikasi monitoring.

Abstract

The energy of river water flow or irrigation canals can be utilized by using a horizontal axis Savonius turbine, which converts low-speed river flow into electrical power with good design. The design of this turbine needs to pay attention to several parameters, namely, the deflector angle, the number of blades, the diameter and thickness of the blades, and the diameter and thickness of the end plates. However, the problem usually encountered is imperfect turbine construction due to the large drag force that occurs so that the power generated is low. Based on this background, it is proposed to manufacture and test the performance of a series Savonius underwater rotors with a horizontal axis. The research results found that the generator voltage without load was 25.6 V when the turbine only rotated at 47.2 rpm, whereas when under load, the average power produced was 8.5 watts with an average turbine speed of 31 rpm. The highest efficiency value on the rotor is 86.73%, with a torque value of 3.36 at a turbine speed of 29.9 rpm. This indicates that the tool can generate large torque at low speeds.

Abstract

Pemeriksaan gigi dan mulut bagi para pasien dengan tindakan tertentu seperti eksodonsi, scaling, dan restorasi dapat dilakukan menggunakan kursi dental ini. Akan tetapi, prinsip ergonomik sering ditinggalkan dikarenakan keterbatasan dari alat dan kenyamanan merupakan faktor utama yang ditinggalkan, baik operator maupun pasien akan mengalami ketidaknyamanan ketika dihadapkan dengan pemakaian kursi atau bangku konvensional yang selama ini masih digunakan oleh kebanyakan operator dalam pelaksanaan bakti sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang bangun konstruksi Body Kursi Dental Unit agar dokter dan pasien tidak mengalami keluhan seperti yang sudah dijelaskan di atas. Sehubungan dengan itu, penelitian ini diawali dengan mempelajari struktur kursi dental unit, menghitung kecepatan naik turun kursi dan maju mundur sandaran punggung, Kemudian menghitung kekuatan sambungan pada body kursi dental unit. Adapun waktu pelaksanaan perancangan yang dimulai dari bulan Maret-September 2022 bertempat di Bengkel Mekanik dan Poliklinik Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa Body kursi dental unit ini mampu bergerak naik turun dengan beban pasien maksimum 150 kg.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem monitoring jarak jauh untuk Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) Crane di PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas New Makassar Terminal 2, dengan mengganti komunikasi dari WiFi ke LoRa guna mengatasi blindspot jaringan yang menghambat pemantauan optimal. Sistem baru juga dilengkapi dengan sensor RFID dan Lidar untuk memantau jumlah dan kondisi kontainer secara real-time di lapangan penumpukan. Data dari PLC RTG ditarik menggunakan program Python dan ditampilkan melalui website monitoring yang dapat diakses dari kantor. Proses penelitian melibatkan pengumpulan data, studi literatur, perancangan sistem elektronik, pemrograman, pengujian sensor, instalasi perangkat pada E-Room, hingga implementasi sistem monitoring. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem berhasil menampilkan kondisi kerusakan RTG serta informasi kontainer secara realtime, dengan delay data selama 3 detik melalui modul LoRa. Teknologi ini memungkinkan staf dan engineer untuk memantau kerusakan maupun operasional RTG tanpa harus turun langsung ke lapangan, sehingga meningkatkan efisiensi dan keamanan proses bongkar muat peti kemas. Crane Monitoring System (CMS) berbasis website terbukti efektif dan responsif dalam mendukung kelancaran operasional terminal petikemas.

Abstract

Dental unit adalah suatu alat yang dipakai oleh dokter gigi untuk melakukan pemeriksaan serta perawatan gigi dan mulut (pengeboran, penambalan, dan pembersihan). Pada perangkat dental unit terdapat bagian kursi dental unit yang digunakan pasien dalam proses perawatannya. Pengembangan sistem kontrol penyangga kaki pada dental unit dilatar belakangi dental unit yang ada pada saat ini belum memiliki kemampuan untuk menyesuaikan posisi ergonomi pada kursi dan pengontrolan pada penyangga kaki secara otomatis maka diharapkan setelah pengembangan yang telah dilakukan, kenyamanan dan keamanan pada dental unit semakin meningkat. Dental unit tipe mobile terdiri dari beberapa bagian seperti lengan, meja, sistem roda, body, sistem kelistrikan, dan sistem kontrol. Pada penelitian ini penulis secara khusus telah mengembangkan rancangan sistem kontrol sebelumya dengan mengaplikasikan Mikrokontroller Arduino ATMega sebagai pusat kendali yang mampu mengontrol semua gerakan dental chair dan instrumen pada dental unit. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa alat kendali berupa foot controller dan panel kontrol yang telah dibuat mampu mengendalikan gerakan naik, turun, rebah, dan tegak dental chair serta mengontrol instrumen dental unit yang meliputi dental light, sistem penyaluran air, LCD, handpiece.

Abstract

Savonius wind turbine is one of the wind turbines that is more widely used for low energy needs, with more energy needs, this turbine type is very feasible to be developed. This research aims to improve the performance of Savonius wind turbines with variations in turbine blade curvature and variations in wind speed. The research method is a laboratory experiment on the fan test, the blade curvature test variation is 1R; 1.5R and 2R, another variation is the wind speed which are 4.0; 5.5; 7.0 and 8.5 m/s. The experiement results shows that the greater the wind speed, the input power, air mass flow velocity, power output, and efficiency will be even greater; the greater the load force on the turbine shaft, the torque on the turbine shaft will also be greater; the relationship of force loads to power output and turbine efficiency is to construct a parabolic curve; for the same wind speed, the 2R turbine has the lowest rotation, power output and efficiency compared to the 1R and 1.5R turbines; at the same wind speed the 1R turbine produces a higher rotation but requires lower torque than the 1.5R turbine; at low wind speeds (4 m / s) the 1.5R turbine has better efficiency than the 1R turbine, whereas at the high wind speed (8.5 m/s) the 1R turbine has a better efficiency than the 1.5R turbine; The maximum efficiency is obtained at 89.56% in the 1R curvature turbine with a wind speed of 8.5 m / s.

Abstract

Abstract: Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a crucial aspect in industry, especially in preventing and addressing fire hazards that can cause major material damage and even loss of life. PT. Eastern Pearl Flour Mills currently has a fire pump system, but its operation is still done manually and is not yet equipped with real time monitoring, reducing operational efficiency and response to emergency conditions. This research aims to design an Automatic Fire Pump System capable of activating three types of fire pumps Jockey Pump, Electric Pump, and Diesel Pump automatically using a Smart Relay Zelio. In addition, the system is equipped with a real time pressure monitoring feature using Raspberry Pi Pico W connected to a Firebase platform, and displayed in a web interface. The system operates based ON inputs from pressure switches and 4–20 mA pressure sensors, which are converted into digital data via Raspberry Pi. In automatic mode, the Smart relay controls the pumps according to the pressure levels detected. In manual mode, the user can activate the pumps remotely through the Firebase-based web interface. The test results show that the system can operate properly in both modes, with accurate and stable pressure readings, as well as responsive pump control. The system significantly improves the speed of detecting low pressure, reduces the risk of manual failure, and enhances overall safety and operational efficiency of the fire protection system at PT. Abstract

The increasing use of lubricating oil in Indonesia has resulted in a significant amount of used oil waste, which is classified as hazardous and toxic material (B3). One liter of used oil can contaminate millions of liters of groundwater and reduce soil fertility, with an estimated waste volume of around 520 million liters per year. This research aims to design a used oil filter machine based on Arduino as a solution for reusing waste oil. The system employs an Arduino Uno integrated with temperature, pressure, level (ultrasonic and float), and flow rate sensors to monitor the filtration process in real time, along with LED indicators for pump and pressure status. Test results show that the filter is capable of reducing viscosity, removing particles, and improving the color of used oil, thereby enhancing its quality and feasibility for recycling and reuse, although additional substances are still required for broader applications.

Abstract

Ponds are one of the most popular cultivation methods in Indonesia. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) recorded an increase in the value of fishery exports of 10.66% in the January – November 2022 period compared to the previous year. To increase fishery harvest yields requires the use of technology, one of the problems is regarding water quality, a decrease in water quality can disrupt fishery harvest results. The aim of this research is to create an Android application for monitoring water level, pH and temperature which was developed to help fish farmers monitor the condition of their ponds. The research method used is by conducting literature studies and interviews, then developing previous research by adding a pH sensor, GSM module, and updating the application display as well as optimizing PI control for water level control, then taking data from the sensor reading results compared with existing measuring instruments. tested to determine the level of accuracy and the information system data is taken on the average time required to send data to the application. The research results obtained are that the information system and water level monitoring for a prototype robot to control water levels in ponds has been developed by adding a GSM module as an alternative. replacement for the Wifi network with an average data transmission time of 3.6 seconds and implementation of PI control in the water level control system. Detecting water pH levels on a prototype robot that controls water levels in ponds has been successfully created and implemented with an average reading error of 2.15%. The water temperature reading on the prototype robot that controls water levels in ponds has been successfully optimized so that it has an average temperature reading error of 1.69%.
