Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style and the implementation of e-performance systems on employee performance at the Provincial Education Office of South Sumatra. Employee performance is a crucial element in achieving organizational goals, while leadership style and e-performance systems are considered key factors influencing success. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees, with samples determined randomly. The results indicate that leadership style has a positive but not significant effect on employee performance. Leaders who can motivate and involve subordinates in decision-making tend to enhance employee productivity. The implementation of e-performance systems also has a positive impact on performance, especially through transparency and efficiency in performance evaluation. Simultaneous analysis shows that leadership style and e-performance systems together contribute significantly to improving employee performance, with a coefficient of determination of 67%. However, the study also identifies challenges such as a lack of technological understanding among employees and inadequate infrastructure. Therefore, it is recommended to enhance technical training and ensure the availability of supporting facilities to optimize the implementation of e-performance systems. This research provides practical implications for the leadership of the Education Office in improving managerial strategies and human resource management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and work discipline on the performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the UPTD Office of the South Sumatra Provincial Education Office. Effective leadership and high work discipline are believed to be two important factors in improving ASN performance. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to 60 ASN respondents at the UPTD office of the South Sumatra Provincial Education Office. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression to test the simultaneous and partial influence of leadership and work discipline on ASN performance. The results of the study show that leadership and work discipline have a significant effect on ASN performance, both simultaneously and partially. The level of relationship between variables is included in the close category, with the contribution of the influence of independent variables on dependent variables included in the category is quite high.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the availability of infrastructure and teacher competence on the sustainability of the implementation of the learning process at State Vocational Schools in Palembang City. The availability of adequate infrastructure and high teacher competency is believed to have an important role in improving the quality of learning and the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process in schools. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with survey techniques, involving a sample of teachers and school principals from several state vocational schools in Palembang City. Data was collected through a questionnaire which was processed using regression analysis to test the relationship between the two independent variables and the continuity of learning. The research results show that both the availability of infrastructure and teacher competence have a significant effect on the smoothness and success of the learning process at State Vocational Schools in Palembang City. Thus, efforts to improve infrastructure and increase teacher competency are important factors in improving the quality of education at the vocational school level.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of the Special Job Exchange (BKK) in increasing the absorption of Palembang City State Vocational School alumni in the world of work. BKK is one of the units that supports the labor absorption process by connecting the world of education and the world of industry. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method involving primary data through in-depth interviews with BKK, alumni and collaborating companies. The research results show that BKK has a significant role in facilitating Palembang City State Vocational School alumni in obtaining employment opportunities. Apart from that, BKK also provides training and information regarding job vacancies that are relevant to the skills possessed by alumni. However, several challenges are still faced, such as a lack of certain skills needed by companies and limited collaboration networks with the industrial world. This research recommends the need to improve the quality of training and expand the cooperation network between vocational schools and the industrial world to increase the effectiveness of BKK in accelerating workforce absorption.

Abstract

Quality schools are the goal of every educational institution, therefore it is important to pay attention to various aspects which are believed to influence school quality. This research was conducted with the aim of examining the influence of work commitment and teacher certification on school quality (State High School in Palembang City). The method used in this research is a quantitative method, with data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained from the research process was then analyzed quantitatively through statistical computing (t test and F test). The results of the research conducted state that work commitment has a positive and significant effect on school quality; teacher certification has been proven to make a positive and significant contribution to school quality; In simultaneous testing it was found that work commitment and teacher certification affected the quality of State High Schools in Palembang City. The contribution of the two independent variables to the dependent variable is in the quite high category

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe: (1) the influence of affiliative leadership on the implementation of the vocational high school center of excellence program, (2) the influence of teacher professional competence on the implementation of the high school center of excellence program, (3) the influence of affiliative leadership and teacher professional competence together on the implementation of the vocational high school center of excellence program. This study is a quantitative study with a nex post facto design. This study was conducted at SMKN 2 Kayuagung, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency with a sample of 83 respondents. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The validity test used the Statistic Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 26 program package and the Excel 2019 application, while the reliability test used an internal reliability test obtained by analyzing data from a trial result with the Croanbach's Alpha formula. The data analysis prerequisite test used the normality test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test. While the data description analysis used multiple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing used the T Test (Partial Test). The results of the study indicate that (1) there is a positive and significant influence between Affiliative Leadership on the Implementation of the Center of Excellence Program of Vocational High Schools at SMK Negeri 2 Kayuagung, (2) there is a positive and significant influence between Teacher Professional Competence on the Implementation of the Center of Excellence Program of Vocational High Schools at SMK Negeri 2 Kayuagung, (3) there is a positive and significant influence of Affiliative Leadership and Teacher Professional Competence together on the Implementation of the Center of Excellence Program of Vocational High Schools at SMK Negeri 2 Kayuagung.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze: (1) the management of the Independent Learning Curriculum in strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile; (2) obstacles in implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum management in strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile; and (3) solutions to overcome these obstacles at Public Elementary School 34 Palembang. The study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model which includes the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the management of the Independent Learning Curriculum plays a significant role in shaping students' character according to the six dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, namely faith, devotion to God Almighty and noble character; global diversity; mutual cooperation; independence; critical reasoning; and creativity. Strengthening is carried out through affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects which are integrated in learning activities and profile strengthening projects. Obstacles faced include teachers' limited understanding of the concepts and practices of the Independent Learning Curriculum, limited resources and supporting facilities, minimal parental involvement in project-based learning, and difficulties in developing character-based learning evaluations. Proposed solutions include providing ongoing training for educators, strengthening coordination between stakeholders, improving learning facilities, strengthening collaboration between schools and parents, and developing comprehensive and valid assessment instruments to monitor student character development. With these strategies, the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum is expected to be more effective and sustainable in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Principal This study aims to analyze the principal's leadership management in building the character of students at SD Negeri 27 Palembang. Student character is an important aspect in education that not only focuses on academic achievement, but also the formation of a strong and ethical personality. The principal has a strategic role in managing resources, creating a conducive learning environment, and implementing character values in every aspect of learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the principal, teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the leadership of the principal at SD Negeri 27 Palembang contributes significantly to the formation of student character through habituation programs, extracurricular activities, and role models provided by educators. However, there are several obstacles such as lack of parental involvement and limited supporting facilities. In conclusion, effective principal leadership management plays an important role in building the character of students. A more optimal strategy is needed, including increasing communication with parents and strengthening school-based character education programs.

Abstract

This study examines the role of teachers in implementing the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) at SD Negeri 126 Palembang and its impact on fostering a positive school culture. This research aims to identify and describe the role of teachers, the challenges faced, and the solutions to overcome these challenges in the Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) project to enhance a positive culture at SD Negeri 126 Palembang. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through documentation, interview and literature studies. The findings indicate that teachers play a crucial role in P5 implementation, including facilitating project-based learning, guiding students in understanding Pancasila values, and creating a conducive learning environment. However, challenges such as limited teacher understanding of the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) concepts, insufficient training, and a lack of parental and student involvement were identified. Proposed solutions include increasing teacher training and awareness programs, strengthening collaboration between schools and parents, and developing more innovative teaching methods. With effective the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) implementation, it is expected that a generation of intelligent, character-driven students with a strong positive culture in society can be developed.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine if teacher competency and principal leadership have a meaningful impact on the performance of teachers in state elementary schools in Talang Betutu Subdistrict. Multiple regression analysis techniques and quantitative methods are used in this study. In Talang Betutu Village, there are four state elementary schools with 114 teachers. The data was gathered using a Likert scale. In this study, random sampling was the sample technique. IBM SPSS version 26 was then used to tabulate and analyze the data. With a value of 11.627 or > 3.077 and p = 0.000 (p<0.05), the research findings demonstrated a positive and significant relationship between leader leadership and teacher competence on the level of teacher performance. Teacher competency and the principal's leadership both positively impact teacher performance by 49.3% at the same time, with other factors influencing the remaining 50.7%.
