Abstract

Retardasi mental (RM) merupakan gangguan heterogen yang terdiri atas fungsi intelektual di bawah rata-rata disertai gangguan keterampilan adaptif. Terapi bermain merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk melatih anak RM taraf sedang dalam mempelajari suatu konsep pembelajaran. Terapi bermain dilakukan dalam ruang khusus yang didesain sebagai tempat bermain yang dilengkapi dengan perangkat mainan khusus untuk menstimulus perkembangan potensi anak RM taraf sedang. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan pengembangan potensi kecerdasan anak RM sedang dengan menggunakan instrumen The Wechsler-Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) melalui penerapan terapi bermain.  Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dan analisis kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak RM sedang di SDLB Aisiyah usia 7–12 tahun sejumlah 13 anak. Pendekatan analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik dengan pendekatan Wilcoxon dan Kruskal Wallis yang selanjutnya dilakukan analisis deskriptif untuk memberikan gambaran kondisi RM yang menyertai anak meliputi: faktor internal yaitu fase yang dialami anak pada masa kehamilan, persalinan, menyusui dan tahap tumbuh kembang, serta faktor eksternal yaitu kondisi sosial ekonomi keluarga dan pola asuh pada anak. Hasil penelitian 7 dari 13 anak RM sedang berhasil mengalami peningkatan dalam pengembangan potensi kecerdasannya. Bila dilihat dari hubungan frekuensi diberikannya terapi dengan tingkat keberhasilan anak, dari 7 anak RM sedang yang berhasil, 5 di antaranya termasuk kategori sering diberikan terapi bermain. Simpulan, terapi bermain mampu meningkatkan keberhasilan pengembangan potensi kecerdasan anak RM sedang. Keberhasilan tersebut berhubungan dengan frekuensi diberikannya terapi bermain dan didukung oleh kondisi penyerta (faktor internal dan eksternal) pada diri anak. [MKB. 2014;46(2):73–82]Kata kunci: Terapi bermain, kecerdasan, retardasi mental sedang Analysis of the Effectiveness of Play Therapy in Developing the Intelligence of 7–12 Years Old Children with Moderate Mental RetardationMental Retardation (MR) is a heterogeneous disorder that consists of lower than average intellectual function along with the disruption of adaptive skills. Play therapy is an effective approach to train children with moderate MR in studying the concept of learning. Play therapy is conducted in a special room designed as a playground, equipped with special toys to stimulate potential development of children with moderate MR. This research aimed to improve the success of the potential development of intelligence in children with moderate MR using WISC instrument through play therapy. The study design used quasi-experimental method (quasi-experiment) and qualitative analysis. The subjects of this study were thirteen 7–12 years old children with moderate MR in extraordinary primary school Aisiyah. The analysis approach used was statistical analysis with Wilcoxon and Kruskal Wallis approaches. A descriptive analysis was subsequently carried out to provide a snapshot of MR conditions that accompany the child including: internal factors, i.e. the phase experienced by the child during pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and the stage of growth and development, and external factors i.e. the family's socioeconomic condition and children upbringing. The results showed that 7 out of 13 children with moderate MR had experienced an increase in the potential development of intelligence. In terms of the relation between the therapy frequency and the children success rate, 5 of 7 moderate MR children who were successful were in the category of frequent treatment of play therapy. In conclusion, play therapy can increase the potential for successful intelligence development of children with moderate MR. This success is associated with treatment frequency and is supported by the presence of concomitant conditions (internal and external factors) in children. Abstract

Students' interest in the subject of sociology varies, and some of them may be less enthusiastic about the subject, so an approach that caters to individual students' needs is necessary. The aim of this research is to outline the crucial role of teachers in implementing differentiated learning strategies in sociology and its impact on enhancing students' interest in the subject. This study utilizes a qualitative approach using a descriptive methodology, and data is gathered through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The research is carried out at SMAN 2 Pandeglang, located in the Banten Province. The research findings reveal several key points: (1) Teachers apply various customized learning strategies, such as grouping students based on their abilities, providing diverse learning resources, and assigning projects that align with students' interests. (2) Teachers act as facilitators, assisting students in identifying their interests, providing guidance, and challenging students according to their individual abilities. (3) The outcome of implementing differentiated learning is that students become more engaged in the learning process because they perceive the subject matter as relevant to their interests and personal experiences. In conclusion, the role of teachers is pivotal in cultivating students' interest in sociology at SMAN 2 Pandeglang through the implementation of tailored learning strategies. Teachers need to function as facilitators who understand students' needs and interests to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Abstract

Persepsi masyarakat terhadap vaksin Covid-19 merupakan suatu tanggapan atau penerimaan dari informasi yang diperoleh mengenai keyakinan terhadap kehalalan vaksin, kesediaan divaksinasi dan kapasitas tenaga kesehatan yang memberikan vaksin Covid-19. Hal tersebut dikarenakan banyak sekali isu-isu yang mempengaruhi tentang informasi mengenai vaksin Covid-19 seperti faktor kehalalan dan keamanan dari vaksin Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat terhadap vaksin Covid-19 di Desa Cisantana. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Pada penelitian ini berjumlah 97 sampel yang diperoleh dari wawancara langsung serta pengisian kuisioner. Analisis data menggunakan Chi Square. Berdasarkan hasil analisis maka dapat diketahui terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dan persepsi masyarakat dengan penerimaan vaksin Covid-19 di Desa Cisantana dengan p value 0,000 dan 0,002.

Abstract

Blighted Ovum merupakan bentuk kegagalan dan komplikasi konsepsi pada kehamilan trimester satu. Data yang diperoleh di RSU Singaparna Medika Citrautama tahun 2015 terdapat 138 orang mengalami kehamilan blighted ovum, sedangkan pada tahun 2016 terdapat 72 orang mengalami kehamilan blighted ovum. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahuai gambaran karakterisktik ibu hamil dengan blighted ovum (BO) di RSU SMC Kabupaten Tasikmalaya pada tahun 2016. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi nya seluruh ibu hamil dengan blighted ovum pada tahun 2016. teknik pengambilan sampel yangdigunakan adalah total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 72 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara melihat buku status pasien di rekam medis. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 72 responden yang mengalami blighted ovum, faktor penyebab blighted ovum mayoritas di sebabkan oleh faktor paritas termasuk kategori multipara yaitu sebanyak (73,6%), grande multipara sebanyak 15 orang ( 20,8 %) dan primipara sebanyak (5,6%) dan faktor usia termasuk kategori 20-35 tahun yaitu 36 orang (50%), >35 tahun sebanyak (44,4%), <20 tahun sebanyak (5,6%), responden yang mengalami komplikasi sebanyak 3 orang dan yang tidak mengalami komplikasi sebanyak 69 orang.Simpulan penelitian faktor penyebab blighted ovum paritas multipara 53 orang, usia >35 tahun 32 orang, yang mengalami tanda gejala 72 orang, dan 3 orang mengalami komplikasi perdarahan. Diharapkan perencanaan kehamilan dalam usia yang reproduktif, mengatur jarak kehamilan, melakukan tes untuk mengetahui adanya infeksi TORCH atau kelainan kromosom untuk mencegah terjadinya kehamilan blighted ovum.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of differentiated learning strategies in improving elementary students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The independent variable is the application of differentiated learning strategies, while the dependent variable is the students' mathematical critical thinking ability. A quantitative approach was used, utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The sample included 30 fourth-grade students from Al-Falaah Islamic Elementary School and 30 from Jombang 01 Ciputat Elementary School, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection involved tests, questionnaires, observation sheets, and interview guides, and the analysis was conducted using independent sample t-tests and N-Gain tests with the help of SPSS IBM 22.0 software. The statistical analysis showed a significant effect of differentiated learning strategies on critical thinking skills, with a p-value of 0.000 and an N-Gain score of 74.56%. This indicates a notable improvement in students’ abilities in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. Differentiated learning strategies accounted for 58% of the variation in outcomes, with the remaining 42% influenced by other factors. In conclusion, differentiated learning strategies significantly enhance elementary students' mathematical critical thinking, and educators are encouraged to adopt these methods to foster deeper cognitive engagement.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescent reproductive health services consist of activities aimed at maintaining the reproductive health of adolescents. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bappenas, and UNFPA in 2010, 63 million adolescents in Indonesia are vulnerable to unhealthy behaviors. Data from adolescent posyandu visits reveal that the majority of adolescents suffer from anemia, malnutrition, or overnutrition, including obesity. However, the specific risk behaviors affecting the reproductive health of adolescents in Cikunir Village remain unknown. Objective: This study aims to identify the risk factors affecting the reproductive health of adolescents in Cikunir Village. Method: This research employed a descriptive method. The study population comprised all adolescents in Cikunir Village. A total of 201 adolescents were selected as samples using purposive sampling. Secondary data were sourced from the reproductive health survey conducted as part of the Village Development and Empowerment Grant Program (PHP2D) by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis. Results: The study identified several risk factors for adolescent reproductive health: 11.4% of adolescents smoked, 1% had tried drugs, and 15.9% had watched pornographic videos. Additionally, 29.4% of adolescents reported having boyfriends or girlfriends, and 23.4% were influenced by a social environment associated with risky behaviors. Conclusion: Adolescent reproductive health in Cikunir Village is affected by various risk factors, including smoking, drug use, exposure to pornography, and risky social environments. Parents are advised to provide attention and affection to their children, monitor their social and school environments, and actively engage in guiding them towards healthier behaviors.

Abstract

Workers in Indonesia of reproductive age have various health problems. Female workers are more vulnerable than male workers, where women will experience menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause, which will make them more vulnerable if exposed to various risk factors in the work environment. Research results (1) say that women who work as full-time workers (35.24%) will be at risk of experiencing reproductive health problems, one of which is menstrual cycle problems. The research aims to determine the descriptive analysis of reproductive quality in working women in the STIKes Respati environment. The type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods, where the population is mothers who work at STIKes Respati. The research showed that weight examination for TB to determine nutritional status through the BMI measurement category showed that 70% had normal nutritional status, as many as 10% of workers were in the underweight category, and 20% were in the obese category. Based on the results of this research, the level of education is in line with a woman's ability to manage her diet well, so it impacts her nutritional status. Based on gynecological history, it is also at an expected average level with no history of gynecological disease in the family, as much as 80%. Meanwhile, the stress level of workers shows that 80% of workers show normal conditions (not stressed), and 20% are in stress conditions starting from mild to moderate stress.

Abstract

Early adolescence (aged 10-12 years) is the growth phase of puberty. During this time, the body undergoes significant adaptations, mainly guided by neuroendocrine factors that are crucial for reaching sexual maturity. Pubertal symptoms can often trigger anxiety, and become a stressor that complicates adjustment to physical and hormonal changes. This study aims to analyse the impact of anxiety in early adolescents on the risk of experiencing disorders during puberty. The observational research employed a descriptive analysis approach involving 40 adolescents aged 10 to 13. The total sampling method was used, with data collection instruments including height measuring tools, weight scales, questionnaires, and checklists. The results from anxiety measurement, using the Revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMAS), indicated that 95% of male participants and 90% of female participants reported experiencing anxiety related to puberty. 15% of adolescent girls over nine years old and twenty-five percent of boys under nine years old experience precocious or early puberty. Among respondents, 7 (63.6%) were male, and 4 (36.4%) were female adolescents with a thin BMI. Regarding symptoms of precocious puberty, 60% were suspected to have central precocious puberty, while 40% were suspected to have peripheral precocious puberty. In conclusion, adolescents' lack of confidence and embarrassment due to taboos. There is a need for health counsellors to increase adolescents' knowledge.

Abstract

Abstract Pasir Jaya Village is one of the many villages where it is still difficult to access teachers' signals and limitations in the use of media. This causes children's boredom in limited learning to prevent children from absorbing knowledge, in this case the hijaiyah vocabulary. Children find it difficult to remember hijaiyah letters because the stimulus given to children is something that they have often felt. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative type. This study places children aged 5-6 as research subjects. The source of the data in the study came from 9 people and document data with observation data collection techniques. The data analysis technique in this study used an inductive qualitative analysis, namely an analysis based on the data obtained, then a certain relationship pattern was developed. The results in the field showed a significant increase in children's interest in learning, one of the research subjects showed high curiosity, children began to dare to ask questions and express their opinions. Abstrak Desa pasir jaya merupakan salah satu dari banyaknya desa yang masih sulit mengakses sinyal dan ketebatasan guru dalam pemanfaatkan media. Hal ini menyebabkan kebosaan anak pada pembelajaran yang terbatas menghambat anak dalam menyerap ilmu pengetahuan dalam hal ini ialah kosakata hijaiyah. Anak sulit meninggat huruf hijaiyah dikarenakan stimulus yang diberikan pada anak merupakan hal yang sudah sering anak rasakan.Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini menempatkan anak usia 5-6 sebagai subjek penelitian. Sumber data pada penelitian berasal dari 9 anak dan dokumen data dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi. Teknik analisa data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif yang bersifat induktif, yaitu suatu analisis berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, selanjutnya dikembangkan pola hubugan tertentuHasil di lapangan menunjukan peningkatan signifikan terhadap ketertarikan anak dalam belajar, dari salah satu subjek penelitian menunjukan sifat keingintahuan yang tinggi, anak mulai berani untuk bertanya dan mengungkapkan pendapatnya.
