Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V UPT SPF SD Inpres Bertingkat Bara-Baraya II yang berjumlah 21 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Aktivitas guru meningkat dari kategori cukup menjadi kategori baik. Aktivitas siswa meningkat dari kategori cukup menjadi kategori baik. Hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari kategori cukup menjadi kategori baik, dengan ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 85,7% yang melampaui indikator keberhasilan. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V UPT SPF SD Inpres Bertingkat Bara-Baraya II.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' creative thinking skills through the application of the inquiry learning model in science and social studies learning for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and Taggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The research subjects were 15 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 55 Padang Lambe, Palopo City. Data collection techniques included observation and written tests. Data analysis was performed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the application of the inquiry learning model improved students' creative thinking skills, as evidenced by increased activeness in asking questions, discussing, and expressing ideas. Teacher activity increased from 61.1% in cycle I to 88.9% in cycle II, student activity increased from 41.6% in cycle I to 83% in cycle II, and learning mastery increased from 33.3% in cycle I to 80% in cycle II. Students' creative thinking skills developed in the aspects of fluency (from 65% to 85%), flexibility (from 60% to 82%), originality (from 58% to 80%), and elaboration (from 62% to 83%). The learning process also became more interactive, meaningful, and student-centered. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the inquiry learning model is effective in improving students' creative thinking skills in science and social studies learning for fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in science and social studies learning for fourth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and Taggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The research subjects were 14 fourth-grade students at SD Inpres Karamasa, Gowa Regency, consisting of 5 male students and 9 female students, along with one classroom teacher. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the application of the PBL model improved students' learning outcomes, as evidenced by increased teacher activity from 80% in cycle I to 93.3% in cycle II, and student activity from 67.6% in cycle I to 81.4% in cycle II. Student learning outcomes also improved, with the average score increasing from 75 in cycle I to 84.2 in cycle II, and learning mastery increasing from 64.29% in cycle I to 92.86% in cycle II. The learning process became more interactive, meaningful, and student-centered. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in science and social studies learning for fourth-grade elementary school students.
