Abstract

The role of cash waqf linked sukuk (Islamic bonds linked to endowments) should be developed to enhance the green economy, particularly in the sustainable agriculture sector. This study investigates the influence of Islamic religiosity, knowledge, and trust in nazhir (waqf managers) on the intention to engage in cash waqf linked sukuk transactions for sustainable agriculture. This study also analyzes the moderating role of environmental awareness as an important factor in the green economy. Primary data was collected through questionnaires disseminated to 150 respondents and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS SEM) was employed to analyze the data. The findings indicate that environmental awareness and trust nazhir are significant determinants of the intention to engage in cash waqf linked sukuk transactions for sustainable agriculture. Environmental awareness is also found to be significant in moderating the influence of Islamic religiosity. The implications suggest that to enhance community participation in cash waqf linked sukuk for sustainable agriculture, it is imperative to build trust in nazhir, increase environmental awareness, and target individuals who uphold Islamic values.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the trickle-down and multiplier effects of the Al-Jabbar Mosque as a religious tourism site using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis method using NVivo software. Primary data was collected through interviews with 20 tourists, 10 local MSME actors, 5 MSME employees, also the food court manager, and Al-Jabbar Mosque management. The findings reveal that the presence of Al-Jabbar Mosque generates a trickle-down effect by creating business potential and job opportunities for the local community. Local Community can engage in trade within the food court, also benefit from special programs like rental fee discounts. Additionally, there are employment opportunities at the mosque, such as security. The mosque also opens opportunities for MSME employment and open service, such as photography. Currently, 70% of the 550 mosque employees are local residents. Tourist visits directly impact Rp144.648.000.000 monthly to local MSME income, assuming 344,941 visitors per month with an average expenditure of Rp344,833 on food, photography, and other services. Mathematical analysis shows a multiplier effect value of 1.22, indicating that for every Rp100,000 increase in tourist spending, local MSME income rises by Rp122,000. Practically, the research suggests that Al-Jabbar Mosque management should collaborate with the local community to develop new businesses.

Abstract

Prosperity is a great goal that every country in the world aspires to. However, this condition will certainly not be achieved without a problem called poverty. If you look at the available data, about 30% of the world's population (1.56 billion) lives in multidimensional poverty; 50% of the world's population (3 billion) lives on less than $2.5 a day; And 80% of the world's population lives on less than $10 a day. This shows that Welfare in the world is only enjoyed by a small part of the population. A study published that OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) member countries generally have a lower HDI (Human Development Index) than non-OIC countries. If viewed further, Islam has various solutions to avoid poverty through Islamic social finance instruments. Zakat, Infaq, and Waqf have great potential to be developed to prosper the community. So, in this paper, we will discuss the financial technology model used to develop the role of Islamic social finance instruments such as Zakat, infaq, and waqf. So that social and financial institutions can continue to develop various empowerment programs to prosper the community.

Abstract

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic, which occurred in early 2020, has resulted in more than 50 percent of households experiencing financial difficulties, especially those who rely on personal businesses. This study aims to analyze the effect of working mothers on family economic resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study obtained the primary data by distributing questionnaires to 173 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The approach used is quantitative with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) as the data analysis method. The dependent variable is family economic resilience, and the independent variable is female workers. The results showed that working women could support and contribute to their households in helping meet the daily needs of their families. Thus, working mothers have a positive effect on household economic resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. For this reason, during the Covid-19 period, a wife's role is needed to contribute to the family economy so that the family's economic resilience remains stable. Furthermore, this research revealed the importance of the government's roles and stakeholders to provide facilities such as working capital for women, availability of employment opportunities for women, and work regulations that support women in balancing their dual roles.

Abstract

Digital financial inclusion is an effective and efficient measure in accelerating financial inclusion, including in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze sociodemographic factors on the probability of digital payment usage. The data used comes from the World Bank Gallup World Poll Survey 2021 on the Global Financial Inclusion Index released by the World Bank, with 1,062 respondents. By applying logistic regression, this study explores the influence of sociodemographic factors such as gender, education, income, age, place of residence, and internet access on the probability of using digital payments. The results show an imbalance in gender, with women having a higher likelihood of using digital payments. Additionally, higher education and income levels increase the likelihood of using digital payments. However, there is an inconsistency where higher income actually reduces the likelihood of using digital payment services. On the other hand, there is a disparity in opportunities between individuals living in rural and urban areas and in accessibility to the internet. The U-shaped hypothesis regarding the relationship between age and digital payment usage is proven in this study. Overall, the results show that individuals with higher sociodemographic status are more likely to use financial technology.
