Abstract

Depresi sering dialami oleh sebagian besar orang terutama pada remaja akhir. Terus menerus menghadapi situasi yang tidak menyenangkan dan kurang dapat meregulasi emosinya dengan baik membuat depresi pada seseorang terus meningkat. Cognitive emotion regulation strategies adalah teori regulasi emosi yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini hanya menggunakan cognitive emotion regulation strategies kurang adaptif mengingat remaja akhir seringkali memakai cognitive emotion regulation strategies kurang adaptif dalam menghadapi kejadian tidak menyenangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan cognitive emotion regulation strategies kurang adaptif dan depresi pada remaja akhir. Kutcher Adolescent Depression Scale (Brooks dkk., 2003) dipakai untuk mengukur depresi, sedangkan Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (Garnefski dkk., 2001) digunakan dalam mengukur cognitive emotion regulation strategies kurang adaptif. Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebesar 207 orang remaja akhir dengan metode pengambilan sampel berbasis internet volunteer (opt.) in panel. Hasil yang ditemukan yaitu terdapat hubungan positif empat strategi dari cognitive emotion regulation strategies kurang adaptif (self-blame, rumination, catastrophizing, dan blaming others) dengan depresi. Catastrophizing ditemukan memiliki hubungan terkuat dengan depresi. Saran untuk remaja akhir ialah belajar untuk mengurangi cognitive emotion regulation strategies kurang adaptif masih ada strategi adaptif yang dapat digunakan guna menyelesaikan masalah.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine the relationship between Big Five Personality and Aggressiveness in late adolescents who use the online mobile game legend bang bang. This study used a quantitative method with respondents of as many as 186 teenagers using the online mobile game legend bang bang in Jakarta who were selected through purposive sampling. The measurement instrument uses the short of big five inventory-2 (BFI-2-S) to measure the big five personality variables and the aggression questionnaire (AQ) to measure aggressive behavior variables. The analysis technique of this research is Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results of the analysis of the conscientiousness variable with aggressiveness showed a negative direction obtained from r -0.045 p = 0.000 (p <0.05), then the agreeableness variable with aggressiveness showed a negative direction obtained from r -0.261 p = 0.000 (p <0.05 ). Furthermore, the negative emotion variable with aggressiveness shows a positive direction obtained from r 0.442 p = 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that the personality type of caution, aggression, and negative emotions is significantly related to adolescent aggressiveness when playing the online mobile legend bang game bang. Meanwhile, there is no significant relationship between extraversion and open-mindedness personality types with aggressive behavior.?ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara Big Five Personality dengan agresivitas pada remaja akhir pengguna game online mobile legend bang bang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan responden sebanyak 186 remaja pengguna game online mobile legend bang bang di Jakarta yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen pengukuran menggunakan alat ukur short of big five inventory-2 (BFI-2-S) untuk mengukur variabel big five personality dan alat ukur agresivitas the aggression questionnaire (AQ) untuk mengukur variabel perilaku agresivitas. Teknik analisis penelitian ini adalah Pearson Product Moment Correlation. Hasil analisis variabel conscientiousness dengan agresivitas menunjukan arah negatif yang peroleh dari r -0.045 p = 0.000 (p < 0,05), kemudian variabel agreeableness dengan agresivitas menunjukan arah yang negatif yang diperoleh dari r -0.261 p = 0.000 (p < 0,05). Selanjutnya variabel negatitive emotionality dengan agresivitas menunjukan arah positif yang diperoleh dari r 0.442 p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), yang berarti tipe kepribadian conscientiouness, agreeableness dan negative emotionality secara signifikan berhubungan kepada agresivitas remaja saat bermain game online mobile legend bang bang. Sedangkan antara tipe kepribadian extraversion dan open-mindedness tidak memiliki hubungan secara signifikan dengan perilaku agresivitas.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe presence of technology with various features is an active role to fulfill human needs, especially in adolescents. Adolescents have a superior ability to use technology. They are often found to use the internet excessively to access social networking sites. The uncontrolled use of social networks will make adolescents fall into a social networking sites addiction phenomenon. The development of addictive behavior in adolescents is assumed to have a relationship with personality factors. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between non-pathological narcissistic personality and social networking sites addiction in adolescents. The participants involved in this study were 135 university students using TikTok who were selected using a purposive sampling technique and the data collection technique was carried out by distributing. The results of the correlation analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between narcissistic personality and social networking sites addiction in adolescent TikTok users. ?ABSTRAKKehadiran teknologi dengan berbagai macam fiturnya kini berperan aktif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan manusia, terutama pada kelompok remaja. Remaja memiliki kemampuan yang lebih unggul dalam menggunakan teknologi. Namun, remaja seringkali didapati menggunakan internet secara berlebihan untuk mengakses situs jejaring sosial. Penggunaan jejaring sosial yang tidak terkontrol tersebut akan membuat remaja terjatuh pada kondisi kecanduan jejaring sosial. Pengembangan perilaku kecanduan pada remaja diasumsikan memiliki hubungan dengan faktor kepribadian. Maka dari itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara kepribadian narsisme non patologis dengan kecanduan situs jejaring sosial pada mahasiswa di DKI Jakarta. Responden yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah 135 mahasiswa pengguna TikTok yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan teknik pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepribadian narsisme dengan kecanduan jejaring sosial pada remaja pengguna TikTok.

Abstract

The Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (MHC-SF) is a tool designed to evaluate an individual's overall mental health and well-being, encompassing emotional, psychological, and social dimensions. Adopted in several countries, including Portugal, South Korea, Italy, and France, the present study aims to adapt the MHC-SF for the Indonesian context and assess its psychometric properties. The adaptation followed the ITC Guidelines for Adapting Tests, an international standard for adapting and psychometrically testing measuring instruments. The content validity was evaluated through the involvement of three experts and four reviewers in assessing the results of the Indonesian translation. Data was collected from a sample of 256 students, who participated by filling out an online questionnaire. The results of the content validity indicated that the 14-item instrument was relevant to the purpose of measuring well-being. Construct validity showed a three-factor structure (emotional well-being, psychological well-being, and social well-being) with a fit model, and all items had a factor loading value greater than .5, indicating their validity. The reliability test revealed consistent results with alpha coefficient values in the range of .7 to .8 for the three dimensions, demonstrating that the instrument can provide consistent results when used on the same individual in different situations. This study concludes that the Indonesian version of the MHC-SF is valid and reliable for assessing an individual's well-being.

Abstract

Adolescents belong to the high-risk group for deliberate self-harm. Data shows that about 20 percent of teenagers in the world engage in self-injurious behavior in forms of scratching, razor blading, hitting, biting, hair-grabbing, and head-banging against walls just to relieve pain. This study aims to determine the correlation between emotion dysregulation and deliberate self-harm in adolescents. This study applied two instruments to measure each variable: (1) Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS), developed by Victor and Klonsky (2016), to measure emotion dysregulation; and (2) Deliberate Self-Harm Inventory, developed by Gratz (2001), to measure deliberate self-harm. Researchers implemented a quantitative approach with a correlational design to answer the research questions. Participants were 174 adolescents recruited from the distribution of online questionnaires with purposive sampling technique. Findings from the study indicate that emotion dysregulation is positively correlated with deliberate self-harm in adolescents with a sig p value < 0.005. This research concludes that the higher the emotion dysregulation, the higher the deliberate self-harm in adolescents.

Abstract

Nusa Tenggara Barat merupakan salah satu provinsi yang tercatat sebagai wilayah dengan tingkat kemiskinan yang cukup tinggi dan kasus tindakan kekerasan seksual yang masih sangat tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peranan resiliensi terhadap subjective wellbeing pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) yang pernah mengalami tindakan kekerasan seksual. 270 siswa SMA di Kabupaten Bima kelas X, XI, dan XII terlibat dalam penelitian ini dan diberikan instrument yang berisi Brief Resilience Scale dari Smith, dkk (2008) serta Mental Health Continuum Short-Form dari Keyes (2002). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi tidak memiliki peranan yang signifikan terhadap subjective well-being pada siswa SMA di Kabupaten Bima yang pernah mengalami tindakan kekerasan seksual (p>0,05; 0,016). West Nusa Tenggara is recorded as one of the province with a fairly high poverty rate and extremely high cases of sexual violence. This study aimed to examine the role of resilience on subjective well-being in high school students (SMA) who have experienced acts of sexual violence. 270 of 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from senior high school in Bima District were involved in this study and were given an instrument containing the Brief Resilience Scale from Smith, et.al (2008) and the Mental Health Continuum Short-Form from Keyes (2002). The results of this study indicated that resilience did not have a significant role in subjective well-being in high school students in Bima Regency who have experienced acts of sexual violence (p>0,05; 0,016).

Abstract

The aim of this study was examined correlation between personality and interpersonal conflict resolution with friends using one tail hypothesized. This study was quantitative research using personality and interpersonal conflict resolution as variables. The personality is explained by Five-Factor Model and measured using NEO-Five Factor Inventory: openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Interpersonal conflict resolution is explained as an effort to resolve conflict and measured using vignette. The participants were 154 adolescents in Makassar. There was a significant negative correlation between conscientiousness and power assertion. On the other hand, there was a significant positive correlation between neuroticism and power assertion. Adolescents in Makassar with low conscientiousness tend to use disengagement for resolving the interpersonal conflict with their friends.

Abstract

False memory refers to the experience of thinking when we remember something that actually did not really happen. The major problem with false memory is the possibility to make someone may easily be led through misinformation. The current research assessed the difference between two types of question on preschoolers' false memory. This study used an experimental design with 76 participants of preschoolers (53.9% male and 46.1% female, 5-6 years old) who divided into two experimental groups. First group was given a neutral question, while the second group was given a misleading question. In this experiment, the participants were instructed to watch a video, then, one recognition test will be held immediately. In recognition test, participants were showed some pictures and questions about one event. The chi-square analysis shows that there is a significant difference between two types of question (0.04<0.05) the value of Chi-Square was 11.647. Based on these results, it implies that misleading questions might raise more false memory than neutral questions.

Abstract

Cognitive emotion regulation adalah konsep regulasi emosi yang berfokus pada proses evaluasidan modifikasi emosi dengan menggunakan strategi kognitif. Strategi yang digunakan individu dalam mengelola emosi memiliki hubungan dengan kecenderungannya mengalami kecemasan dan depresi. Penelitian sebelumnya berhasil mengembangkan alat ukur cognitive emotion regulation dalam beberapa versi, tetapi belum ada penelitian yang membuat alat ukur tersebut versi Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan adaptasi alat ukur cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire dengan menggunakan mahasiswa sebagai partisipan. Alat ukur ini terdiri dari 36 item yang terbagi ke dalam 8 dimensi, yaitu self blame, other blame, acceptance, rumination, positive refocusing, refocus on planning, positive reappraisal, putting into persepctive, dan catastrophizing. Ada sebanyak 196 mahasiswa (Laki-laki= 18% dan Perempuan=82%) terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Teknik pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas menggunakan Rasch Model pada aplikasi winsteps. Hasilnya adalah seluruh item dinyatakan valid dengan rentang reliabilitas alpha cronbach 0,6 hingga 0,85. Oleh karena itu, alat ukur cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire versi Indonesia dinyatakan mampu mengukur regulasi emosi kognitif secara valid.

Abstract

Adolescents are one group that is prone to experience anxiety and depression. Adverse childhood experiences had the potential to cause anxiety and depression. A quantitative approach using a correlational design was used to explore the association between adverse childhood experiences, anxiety, and depression. There were 62 college students willing to be involved and fill out The Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7), The Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), dan Adverse Childhood Experience Questionnaire. Majority of the participants (87,1%) reported experiencing at least one ACE, with the most experienced adversities by the participants were emotional abuse, emotional neglect, and physical abuse. As much as27,4% of the participantsreported experiencing four or more ACEs categories. The experience of emotional abuse was positively and significantly correlated with anxiety and depression. Furthermore, sexual abuse was associated with depression while separation of parents or divorce was related to anxiety. The findings of this study strengthen the link between adverse childhood experiences with mental health in adulthood. Early detection of these adversities might be useful to identify students who are at risk of deterioration in their mental health.
