Abstract

Peningkatan produktivitas dalam budidaya jamur merang memerlukan adanya inovasi berupa variasi penambahan media tumbuh yang memiliki nutrisi tinggi dengan harga yang cukup efisien. Salah satu alternatif solusi penambahan media adalah dengan pemanfaatan limbah pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memeroleh komposisi media penambahan ampas tahu yang optimal terhadap produksi jamur (Volvariella volvaceae (Bull.) Singer). Penelitian dilaksanakan di kumbung jamur merang Karang Anyar, Desa Gempol Kolot, Kecamatan Banyusari, Kabupaten Karawang, Provinsi Jawa Barat pada bulan Oktober sampai November 2021. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial. Terdapat dua faktor yang terdiri dari sembilan perlakuan dalam empat kali ulangan, sehingga seluruhnya terdapat 36 unit percobaan. Faktor pertama adalah penambahan ampas tahu pada media tumbuh yang terdiri dari tiga taraf, yaitu : P1(penambahan 30%), P2 (penambahan 50%), dan P3 (penambahan 70%), sedangkan faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi pupuk Super A-1 yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu, A1 (10 cc/liter), A2 (15 cc/liter), dan A3 (20 cc/liter). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi signifikan pada faktor penambahan POC dengan dosis 20 cc terhadap bobot total jamur dengan rerata bobot mencapai 0,85 kg.

Abstract

Onion production must always be increased. Liquid organic fertilizers affect the growth and development of soil microbes and the nutrients contained in POC will be absorbed more quickly by plants. Guano or swallow droppings originating from the swallow cultivator building are currently not widely used and further processed, even though the waste can be used as fertilizer that can fertilize plants. This study aims to obtain the POC dose of swallow droppings that provide the highest growth effectiveness and yield in shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) plants.The research method used was a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD), namely the dose of POC with 7 treatments that were repeated 4 times, namely treatment A (Without NPK and POC (control (-)), B (NPK 600 kg / ha (control (+)), C (POC 3 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), D (POC 6 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), E (POC 9 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), F (POC 12 lt / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha), G (POC 15 l / ha + NPK 300 kg / ha). Data were analyzed using variance (ANOVA) and DMRT at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study, the dosage of swallow droppings POC did not have a significant effect on all components of growth and yield. This shows that POC made from swallow droppings has not been able to increase the growth and production of shallot plants.

Abstract

Coffee husk was one of the wastes generated from coffee bean processing, the used of coffee husk waste into compost was an alternative to reduce the amount of waste, besides the use of coffee skin compost can be a source of nutrition for kailan (Brassica oleraceae L. var.nita). The purposed of this study was to obtained the best dose of coffee husk compost so as to increased the growth and yield of kailan (Brassica oleraceae L. Var. Nita). The research was carried out in the new land of Singaperbangsa Karawang University, Pasir Jengkol Village, Majalaya District, Karawang Regency, from April 2022 to August 2022. The design used was a single factor randomized block design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 4 replications, namely K0 (Control), K1 (5 tons of coffee husk compost per hectare), K2 (10 tons of coffee husk compost per hectare), K3 (15 tons of coffee husk compost per hectare), K4 (20 tons of coffee husk compost per hectare), K5 (25 tons of compost coffee husks per hectare) so that there are 24 experimental units. The results showed that K5 treatment had a significant effect on kailan plants aged 28 DAP, with plant heights of 28.3 cm and leaf area of ​​350.2 cm. Meanwhile, the K1 treatment on the observation of the number of leaves had a significant effect on kailan plants aged 28 days after planting with 7 leaves. The K5 treatment had a significant effect on the wet weight of 592.8 g, the wet weight with roots 627 g and the plot weight of 140.5 g. The application of coffee husk compost did not have a significant effect on root length.

Abstract

Mushroom seeds are an important factor to determine the success of mushroom cultivation. The growth of straw mushroom on PDA media is influenced by the degree of acidity (pH). This research was conducted at the Biotechnology and Plant Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa University, Karawang, located in Karawang Regency and start from April 2023 – May 2023. The research method used was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design. There are 2 factors consisting of 21 treatments. The first factor was the pH of PDA media which consisted of 3 levels, namely p1 (pH 6), p2 (pH 7) and p3 (pH8). Second factor was straw mushroom isolate which consisted of 7 levels, namely i1 (Parent P), i2 (Parent S), i3 (FP001), i4 (FP003), i5 (FP017), i6 (FP023) and i7 (FP024). Each treatment was repeated 3 times, resulting in 63 experimental units. The effect of the treatment was analyzed by analysis of variance at the 5% level and if it was significant to find out the best treatment it was continued with a DMRT at the 5% level. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between several F3 isolates of straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) Faperta Unsika and different pH of PDA media on the diameter of mycelia colonies, mycelia growth rate and growth rate of mycelia. Treatment of PDA media with pH 8 and straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) isolate Faperta Unsika FP003 gave the highest mycelial growth results with a mycelia colony diameter of 7 cm, a mycelia growth rate of 3.08 cm/day and growth rate of mycelia 2.58 cm/day.Keywords: Isolate Faperta Unsika, Mycelia, pH of PDA Media, Straw Mushroom

Abstract

Desa Adiarsa Barat memiliki lahan/ fasilitas umum/ pekarangan rumah yang kurang dimanfaatkan dengan maksimal. Masyarakat dalam 1 tahun terakhir ini sudah mulai membuat taman pada lahan tersebut, tapi belum diberdayakan dengan optimal. PkM di desa ini diharapakan agar masyarakat desa bisa mengaplikasikan ilmu yang diberikan oleh Tim pengabdian. Sehingga diharapkan warga masyarakat bisa memanfaatkan lahan tersebut dengan semaksimal mungkin. Metode pelaksanaan PkM yaitu pertama pengenalan apa itu air cucian beras dan manfaatnya bagi tanaman, kedua pengenalan apa itu air fermentasi cucian beras, ketiga praktek pembuatan pupuk fermentasi air cucain beras secara langsung dan keempat sesi terakhir tanya jawab dengan warga. Hasil PkM yaitu didapatkan bahwa masyarakat Desa Adiarsa memiliki antusias yang tinggi dalam mengikuti pelatihan dan ingin mengaplikasikan pada tanaman yang ada pada halaman pekarangan rumahnya, dan ingin menanam tanaman obat keluarga pada lahan kosong perumahan. PkM ini telah membantu masyarakat dalam meningkatkan ilmu pengetahuan terkait kandungan air cucian beras dan meningkatkan keterampilan dalam pembuatan air fermentasi limbah cucian beras dan meningkatkan minat masyarakat dalam mempraktekkan aplikasi air fermentasi limbah cucian beras terhadap tanaman yang ada di pekarangan rumah warga masing-masing.

Abstract

Desa cilamaya Wetan rata-rata penduduk laki-lakinya bekerja sebagai petani. Ada yang meniliki lahan sendiri, ada pula yang lahannya status disewa. Dan ibu-ibunya rata-rata sebagai ibu rumah tangga. Desa ini masih jarang mendapat pelatihan dan warga masih minim ilmu terhadap pupuk organic cair. Sehingga PkM ini sangat diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat pada warga desa untuk dapat terampil dalam membuat POC dari limbah organic dan dapat mengaplikasikannya pada lahan persawahan yang mereka miliki. Metoda PkM diantaranya : survei lokasi, mengurus perizinan pada Dinas terkait, pelaksanan meliputi pengenalan kandungan dan manfaat air cucian beras, pengenalan Pupuk Organic cair sebagai pengganti pupuk kimia, praktek bersama pembuatan Pupuk Organic cair dari limbah air cucain beras. Hasil penelitian yaitu : warga masyarakat peserta pelatihan memiliki minat yang tinggi dalam pembuatan Pupuk Organic air dan warga akan pengaplikasikan Pupuk Organic cair pada lahan pertanian yang mereka miliki. Warga bisa mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia karena penggunaan Pupuk Organic air sebagai substitusi.

Abstract

The determination of the application of planting media during seedling is a basic thing that needs to be known (Bayfurqon, 2019).  This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of planting media on the seeding of apple cucumber plants (Cucumis sp.) The experiment was carried out at  the screen house on Jalan Gang Histori, Kalijaya Hamlet 1 RT 003/RW 009 North Rengasdengklok Village, Rengasdengklok District, Karawang Regency starting from March 2024 – April 2024. The research method used was an experimental method using a single-factor Group Random Design (RAK) with 7 treatments that were repeated 4 (four) times, namely: m0 (soil), m1 (Cocopeat), m2 (husk charcoal), m3 (Cocopeat + cow manure), m4 (husk charcoal + cow manure), m5 (Cocopeat + cow manure + soil) and m6 (husk charcoal + cow manure + soil). The effect of the treatment was analyzed using the 5% F test, so to find out the best treatment, it was followed by the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the combination of planting media had a real influence on the seeding of apple cucumbers (Cucumis sp.). The M0 (soil) treatment gave the best results in plant height (13.34 cm), stem diameter in M0 treatment (2.35 mm), number of leaves in M0 treatment (4.12 leaves), leaf area in M0 treatment (11.28 cm2), plant fresh weight in M0 treatment (1.29 g) and success percentage in M6 treatment (100.00%), but there was no significant difference in growth synchronicity. Keywords: cucumber apple, nursery, combination of planting media

Abstract

One of the key factors for successful oyster mushroom cultivation is the use of superior spawn. However, mushroom farmers in the Karawang region face challenges in obtaining affordable and high-quality spawn. To address this issue, efforts have been made to provide superior spawn to oyster mushroom cultivators in Karawang. In a study conducted in Karawang, researchers crossed two parental strains of oyster mushrooms: one from Cilamaya Kulon (white oyster mushroom) and the other semi-wild strain from Purwasari. This crossbreeding resulted in several candidate spawn isolates (G5 Faperta Unsika) with desirable traits inherited from both parent strains. The goal was to identify the best-performing isolate for spawn production. The research was carried out in a 6.5 m x 4 m mushroom house in Dusun Pasir Buah, Desa Pasir Mulya, Kecamatan Majalaya, Kabupaten Karawang. Over a period of 2 months (from April to May 2024), six different spawn isolates were compared: A (G5 FP Semi), B (G5 FP Putih), C (G5 FP001), D (G5 FP010), E (G5 FP024), and F (G5 FP039). Each treatment was replicated five times. The results showed that treatment B (G5 FP Putih) performed the best, with an average harvest weight per tray of 1237.36 g and a total yield of 89.09 kg per mushroom house. Isolate F (G5 FP039) also performed well, with an average harvest weight of 1212.12 g per tray and a yield of 87.27 kg per mushroom house. Therefore, isolate FP039 is recommended as a superior spawn for oyster mushroom cultivation in Karawang Keywords: straw mushroom, spreading seeds, G5 Faperta Unsika isolate

Abstract

The factor that causes low production of apple cucumbers is the use of seeds and seedlings that are not of good quality. This study aims to determine the effect of AB Mix nutrition on apple cucumber (Cucumis sp.) seedlings hydroponically with a floating raft system. The experiment was carried out at the screen house on Jln. Gang Sejarah, Dusun Kalijaya 1 Rt003/Rw009 North Rengasdengklok Village, Rengasdengklok District, Karawang Regency starting in February 2024. This research method was used using an experimental method using a single-factor Group Random Design (RAK) with 5 treatments that were repeated 5 (five) times, namely: A (0PPM) as control, B (320 PPM), C (640 PPM), D (960 PPM) and (1280 PPM). The effect of the treatment was analyzed using the F test at the 5% level, so to find out the best treatment was to continue with the LSD follow-up test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results of the study showed that the provision of 640 PPM nutrition had a real effect on the growth synchronicity, plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, fresh weight, growth success and leaf area. Keywords : apple cucumbers, nurseries, hydroponics

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe average vegetable consumption of the Indonesian population is 70 grams/person/day. When compared with the recommended adequacy according to balanced nutrition guidelines, the level of vegetable consumption is still relatively low. As many as 97.1% of the population does not consume enough vegetables. Teenagers are the highest age group who consume less vegetables. The aim of this service activity is to implement the Expeditionary Learning model of teacher and student learning in microgreen cultivation as an effort to increase the interest of natural school students/teenagers in consuming vegetables independently. Abdimas is carried out at the Inaratul Islam natural school located in Kec. Purwasari, Kab. Karawang, West Java in May-October 2024. The service method is carried out using training, demonstration and mentoring methods for natural school teachers and students. The results achieved by Microgreen Cultivation in Expeditionary Learning in students were able to increase 80% of the knowledge, attitudes and skills of the participants. Kaum remaja adalah kelompok umur tertinggi yang kurang mengonsumsi sayur. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengimplemantasikan model Expeditionary Learning pembelajaran guru dan siswa dalam budidaya microgreen sebagai upaya peningkatan minat siswa/remaja sekolah alam dalam mengkonsumsi sayur secara mandiri. Abdimas dilaksanakan di sekolah alam Inaratul Islam yang terletak di Kec. Purwasari, Kab. Karawang, Jawa Barat pada bulan Mei-Oktober 2024. Metode pengabdian dilakukan menggunakan metode pelatihan, demontrasi, dan pendampingan terhadap guru dan siswa sekolah alam. Hasil yang dicapai Budidaya Microgreen dalam Expeditionary Learning pada siswa mampu meningkatkan 80% pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan pesertanya. Kegiatan PKM ini juga mampu merangsang siswa untuk lebih aktif, mandiri, dan peduli terhadap lingkungan dan Kesehatan tubuh.Kata Kunci: Microgreen, Expeditionary Learning, Sekolah Alam
