Abstract

Karya ilmiah ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan plastik dan pengaruhnya terhadap kadar air dan kadar abu chips porang kering. Pemilihan media plastik sebagai alat pengering karena mudah diperoleh dan harga murah sehingga para petani bisa membuatnya sendiri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu eksperimental irisan chip porang dengan ketebalan 1 mm, 2 mm dan 3 mm. Masing-masing sampel di jemur secara konvensional dan menggunakan media plastik. Selama proses pengeringan, suhu di dalam media plastik dan lingkungan di ukur tiap 2 jam sekali. Setelah chip porang kering dilakukan pengukuran terhadap kadar air dan kadar abu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengeringan chip porang menggunakan media plastik sangat efektif, karena lebih cepat kering. Kadar air chip porang yang dikeringkan menggunakan media plastik lebih kecil dari pada dikeringkan secara konvensional. Kadar abu chip porang yang dikeringkan menggunakan media plastik lebih besar dari pada dikeringkan secara konvensional.

Abstract

The management of border areas in Indonesia has faced strategic issues, namely the issue of managing state boundaries and the problem of managing border areas. The purpose of this study is to organize the management of national borders through the development of Agribusiness commodity exports in the Indonesia-Malaysia PLBN on the growth of the economic sector. This research method is qualitative with the type of case study research. The location of this research is Aruk Sambas, Indonesia-Malaysia. Primary data sources are experts and the development of state border areas in Sambas Regency. Data analysis proceeds as follows: First, the researcher rereads the data as a whole to provide an understanding of the overall narrative generated by the interviews. The results of this study indicate that there is a need for collaborative border management based on institutions and the international community for cooperation in achieving goals.

Abstract

: Matapencaharian penduduk Desa Meluntur mayoritas adalah petani tambak, awal musim hujan tambak diisi ikan, menjelang kemarau tambak ditanami padi. Kesulitan memperoleh pupuk menjadi kendala warga desa meluntur menjelang musim tebar ikan. Keadaan tersebut menginisiasi Pemerintah Desa Meluntur guna mengagendakan kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk cair untuk warganya dengan bekerja sama dengan tim pengabdi. Tujuan kegiatan salah satunya yaitu mengurangi ketergantungan pengunaan pupuk kimia sintetis. Sasaran kegiatan yaitu anggota kelompok petani tambak sebanyak 21 orang. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di Desa Meluntur Kecamatan Glagah Lamongan pada tanggal 22 Desember 2022, kegiatan pelatihan yaitu pengenalan pupuk organik, pengenalan bahan dan proses pembuatan pupuk organik. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan warga desa umumnya dan peserta pelatihan khususnya penggunaan pupuk pada tambak berbeda-beda dan rata-rata hanya berdasarkan omongan dari tetangga atau teman sesame petambak, padahal kondisi tanah tiap tambak berbeda-beda. Keluhan paling banyak dari peserta pelatihan adalah munculnya bau tidak sedap dari air tambak setelah musim panen padi. Adanya pelatihan pembuatan pupuk cair ini, membuat masyarakat terutama peserta pelatihan menjadi sangat antusias karena mendapatkan pengetahuan yang baru serta mudahnya proses pembuatan dan pengaplisiannya di tambak. Beberapa peserta mengusulkan kepada pemdes, tim pengabdi dan pihak PPL dari dinas perikanan yang hadir, tentang adanya tambak percontohan penggunaan pupuk organik cair tersebut agar warga melihat prakteknya secara langsung hasilnya.Most of the residents of Meluntur Village are pond farmers; at the beginning of the rainy season, the ponds are filled with fish, and before the dry season, the ponds are planted with rice. The difficulty of obtaining fertilizer is an obstacle for villagers to soften before the fish stocking season. This situation initiated the Meluntur Village Government to organize training activities for making liquid fertilizer for its residents in collaboration with the service team. One of the objectives of the activity is to reduce dependence on the use of synthetic chemical fertilizers. The target of the activity is 21 members of the pond farmer group. The training was held in Meluntur Village, Glagah Lamongan District, on December 22, 2022; training activities were an introduction to organic fertilizers, an introduction of ingredients and the process of making organic fertilizers. The service results showed that the knowledge of villagers in general and trainees, especially fertiliser use in ponds, was different and, on average, only based on a talk from neighbors or fellow farmers, even though each pond's soil conditions differed. The biggest complaint from the trainees was the appearance of an unpleasant smell from the pond water after the rice harvest season. This liquid fertilizer-making training makes the community enthusiastic, especially the training participants, because they get new knowledge and the easy process of making and applying it in ponds. Several participants proposed to the local government, the service team and the PPL from the fisheries service who were present about the existence of a pilot pond for the use of liquid organic fertilizer so that residents could see the practice firsthand the results.

Abstract

Robusta coffee in the Rejosari Mojokerto Village is undertaken by the local community. However, to ensure the production of high-quality coffee and avoid the production of low-priced products, it is imperative for the community to possess a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of coffee post-harvest processing methods. This study aims to investigate the physicochemical properties of Robusta coffee under varying roasting temperatures and times. Several key variables were observed, including the number of beans per 100 grams of coffee, geometric diameter (GM), and average weight of coffee beans, which were employed to assess the physical properties of the coffee. Furthermore, the chemical composition of coffee was analyzed in terms of extract weight, ash content, caffeine, glucose, and coffee protein levels. The results indicate that 100 grams of Robusta coffee contain an average of 368 individual coffee beans, each weighing approximately 0.27 grams, with a geometric dimension (GM) of 10.3 mm. Moreover, the extract weight, caffeine, glucose, and protein content exhibit a decreasing trend during the roasting process. As the roasting time increases and the temperature rises, the percentage of coffee extract and caffeine content decreases. Notably, coffee roasted at 200°C for 20 minutes exhibits the highest ash percentage, reaching 4.16%. It was observed that higher roasting temperatures and longer roasting periods result in increased ash content. This study highlights the significant influence of varying roasting temperatures and times on the quality of the resulting coffee beverage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada evaluasi efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya air untuk irigasi pertanian di Kabupaten Cianjur, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif dan penilaian kualitatif. Observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan petani dan pemangku kepentingan, dan analisis strategi pengelolaan air yang ada dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa irigasi banjir tradisional merupakan metode utama yang digunakan oleh petani, yang mengakibatkan kehilangan air yang signifikan. Sebaliknya, teknik yang lebih efisien seperti irigasi tetes dan irigasi sprinkler menunjukkan efisiensi penggunaan air yang lebih tinggi. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efisiensi penggunaan air termasuk praktik dan perilaku petani, pemilihan dan rotasi tanaman, dan kebijakan pengelolaan air. Tantangan yang diidentifikasi termasuk kelangkaan air, pengetahuan dan kesadaran yang terbatas, dan faktor ekonomi. Tindakan yang disarankan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air termasuk mempromosikan teknik irigasi yang efisien, melakukan program pelatihan dan pendidikan, dan menerapkan kebijakan pendukung. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi pembuat kebijakan, pengelola sumber daya air, dan petani di wilayah Cianjur untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air untuk irigasi pertanian.

Abstract

One potential possessed by Duduklor Village, Glagah Lamongan District, is the results of pond fisheries in the form of milkfish. So far, the traditional way of processing milkfish is still because of the lack of knowledge about the procedures for processing milkfish meat. The purpose of this service activity is to provide knowledge and transfer of technology and innovation in processing milkfish into various processed food products, namely noodles and shredded milkfish. The implementation of activities uses socialization methods and practices directly and involves participants actively. The results of the service showed that the participants of the activity were very enthusiastic because they gained new knowledge about the procedures for processing milkfish into various processed products to make children like to eat milkfish, hopefully, it can prevent stunting in toddlers in Duduklor Village. ---  Satu potensi yang dimiliki Desa Duduklor Kecamatan Glagah Lamongan yaitu hasil perikanan tambak berupa ikan bandeng. Selama ini cara pengolahan ikan bandeng maih secara tradisional karena minimnya pengetahuan tentang tata cara mengolah daging ikan bandeng. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu memberikan pengetahuan dan transfer teknologi dan inovasi mengolah ikan bandeng menjadi berbagai produk olahan pangan yaitu mie dan abon ikan bandeng. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode sosialisasi dan praktek secara langsung dan melibatkan peserta secara aktif. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peserta kegiatan sangat antusias karena mendapatkan pengetahuan baru tentang tata cara mengolah ikan bandeng menjadi produk olahan yang beraneka ragam sehingga membuat anak-anak suka makan ikan bandeng, harapannya bisa mencegah terjadinya stunting pada balita di Desa Duduklor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki interaksi yang kompleks antara metode pertanian organik, penggunaan pupuk hayati, dan hasil yang diperoleh petani buah di Jawa Timur. Dengan menggunakan pemodelan persamaan struktural, kami menganalisis hubungan antara variabel-variabel utama, yaitu, Metode Pertanian Organik, Penggunaan Pupuk Hayati, Kualitas Hasil Panen, dan Keuntungan Bisnis Petani. Hasilnya menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan antara adopsi metode pertanian organik dan penggunaan pupuk hayati dengan peningkatan keuntungan bisnis dan kualitas hasil panen yang lebih tinggi. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi para pembuat kebijakan, pemangku kepentingan pertanian, dan petani buah yang mencari praktik-praktik yang berkelanjutan dan layak secara ekonomi. Mendorong adopsi metode organik dan pupuk hayati muncul sebagai strategi yang menjanjikan untuk mendorong kelestarian lingkungan, meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, dan meningkatkan ketahanan ekonomi petani buah di wilayah tersebut.

Through bibliometric techniques such as co-citation analysis and network visualization, the research identifies clusters of research topics, including technological advancements, social dimensions, economic impacts, and environmental considerations. Notable contributions by influential authors are highlighted, shedding light on critical issues such as rural livelihoods, participatory approaches, and alternative food networks. Furthermore, the study provides insights into the evolution of research interests over time, revealing emerging areas for future exploration. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of sustainable agriculture's role in rural development and offer valuable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers seeking to promote sustainable practices and enhance rural well-being.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of agricultural extension services and post-harvest processing technology on farmers' income and farm business sustainability in rural Bandung Regency. A quantitative analysis of 160 farmers' responses, measured using a Likert scale, revealed that agricultural extension services significantly enhance farm sustainability and increase farmers' income. Similarly, post-harvest processing technology positively impacts both farm sustainability and income. These findings underscore the importance of these interventions in promoting sustainable agricultural development and improving farmers' livelihoods, highlighting the need for continuous investment in agricultural extension programs and the promotion of post-harvest technologies to support rural agricultural communities.

Abstract

Soybean stands as a critical crop globally, serving as a primary source of protein and oil. Optimizing soybean production is imperative to meet increasing demand amid evolving environmental and agronomic challenges. This qualitative analysis delves into the role of soil type and environmental conditions in enhancing soybean yield. Through a synthesis of existing literature and insights from interviews with key stakeholders, patterns and trends influencing soybean cultivation are identified. The findings underscore the complex interplay between soil properties, climatic factors, and agronomic practices in shaping soybean production dynamics. Tailored management strategies are essential for optimizing soil health, water management, and varietal selection to enhance soybean resilience and sustainability in the face of ongoing climate change and variability.
