Abstract

This study examines the impact of biotechnology adoption, agricultural wastewater treatment, and government policies on the sustainability of organic agriculture in East Java, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 65 respondents through a Likert scale (1-5) questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results indicate that biotechnology adoption, effective wastewater treatment, and supportive government policies significantly enhance the sustainability of organic agriculture, with regression coefficients of 0.42, 0.35, and 0.38, respectively. The findings highlight the importance of integrating advanced technologies, improving resource management, and strengthening policy frameworks to promote sustainable farming practices. This study provides actionable insights for farmers, policymakers, and researchers aiming to enhance the sustainability of organic agriculture in East Java and beyond.

Abstract

Cabai merupakan tanaman yang memiliki komponen antioksidan yang tinggi, seperti asam askorbat, total fenol, dan pigmen karotenoid. Vitamin C dikenal dengan asam askorbat, merupakan vitamin yang larut air dan diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan dan perbaikan jaringan dalam tubuh. Pengukuran kandungan vitamin C penting dilakukan, untuk mengetahui kandungan vitamin C pada bubuk cabai. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kandungan vitamin C dengan menggunakan uji iodimetri. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Two Way-ANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 2 variabel perlakuan. Variable pertama adalah 4 varietas cabai yaitu cabai rawit merah, keriting, dorset naga dan carolina reaper. Variable kedua adalah lama pengeringan, dengan 3 level pengeringan yaitu 6 jam, 7 jam dan 8 jam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, diperoleh nilai rerata tertinggi vitamin C pada R1 (Cabai rawit merah) selama T3 (8 jam) sebesar 4,5 %, kadar air 1,959 gram dengan rendemen 20,6 % dan rerata terendah vitamin C pada R1 (Cabai rawit merah) selama T1 (6 jam) sebesar 1,2 %, kadar air 1,971 gram dengan rendemen 20,2 %.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has opened up opportunities for villages to improve the quality of public services and administrative documentation systems more efficiently and transparently. This service activity aims to improve the service and efficiency of village beautification, increase the capacity of village and kentong apparatus, Glagah District, Lamongan Regency in the use of information technology through training and socialization of village website management. The activity was carried out in the form of hands-on training for village officials and karangtaruna cadres regarding content management, information publication, and digital uploading of administrative documents from December 2024 to March 2025. The initial evaluation was conducted through questionnaires and brief interviews, which showed that most participants found the practical approach applied. However, it was found that there are still limitations in participants' confidence to manage websites independently, as well as the need for follow-up assistance, especially related to data security and digital document management. This activity is the first step in the digital transformation process at the village level. The limitation of this activity lies in the scope of implementation which is still limited to the initial socialization and training stage, without being followed by the full implementation stage and continuous monitoring. Follow-up in the form of technical assistance and advanced training is needed so that the use of the village web can run optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

The younger generation faces various national challenges in the digital era, such as the spread of hoaxes, intolerance, and a decline in the spirit of nationalism. Prospective warriors of the Setia Hati Terate Brotherhood (PSHT) as part of the youth community have a strategic role in instilling national values and defending the country. A national education program is needed that is able to increase the understanding and character of nationality effectively. Community service activities were carried out using a participatory national education approach involving 127 prospective PSHT Ranting Saradan warriors from 133 registered participants. The methods used include interactive lectures, group discussions, case studies, and joint reflection. The effectiveness of the program was evaluated through pre-test and post-test using 15 indicators that included aspects of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, defending the country, and contemporary national challenges. The results of the evaluation showed that the average level of participants' understanding increased from 68.3% in the pre-test to 89.0% in the post-test or an increase of 20.7 points. The highest increase occurred in the understanding of the concept of national defense, the form of national defense for the younger generation, and the impact of hoaxes on national unity. The participatory national education program has proven to be effective in improving national insight and the character of defending the country for prospective PSHT Ranting Saradan warriors. A participatory approach that integrates national values with the organizational culture of pencak silat has the potential to become a model of community service that can be replicated in other youth communities.

Abstract

The integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) literacy into higher education serves as a critical instrument for accelerating green campus culture as a manifestation of ecological responsibility. This study examines how systematic implementation of environmental policies and sustainability-oriented curricula transforms theoretical knowledge into tangible, pro-environmental academic behaviors among students. Empirically, the research demonstrates that high student engagement in waste management and energy efficiency reflects the successful internalization of sustainability literacy into daily habituation. Furthermore, the synthesis of ethical values and global sustainability principles empowers students to develop innovative solutions to environmental challenges. As a living laboratory, universities play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between ecological awareness and actionable commitment. The findings indicate that reflective and applied educational approaches significantly enhance students' long-term dedication to environmental preservation, effectively preparing graduates to act as agents of change in professional and societal domains.

Abstract

Penyaluran bantuan sosial PKH sering terkendala ketidaktepatan sasaran, menyebabkan kerugian negara hingga Rp17 triliun akibat data yang tidak terintegrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang prototype sistem otomatis penyaluran bansos berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan RFID pada kartu PBI BPJS untuk memverifikasi kelayakan penerima secara real-time. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengintegrasikan mikrokontroler NodeMCU ESP32, sensor RFID, keypad, dan cloud database Firebase. Evaluasi sistem dilakukan melalui pengujian Black Box untuk mengukur fungsionalitas perangkat, serta penerapan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) untuk menentukan prioritas kuota bantuan berdasarkan empat kriteria kerentanan ekonomi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sistem berhasil memvalidasi data PBI BPJS dengan tingkat akurasi 100% dan latensi di bawah 2 detik. Selain itu, algoritma SAW berhasil mengklasifikasikan 15 sampel responden ke dalam lima golongan desil secara objektif, memastikan bantuan hanya diterima oleh masyarakat yang benar-benar membutuhkan. Sistem ini terbukti efektif meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mencegah duplikasi data, dan menutup celah kecurangan melalui mekanisme autentikasi ganda. Integrasi IoT dan basis data PBI BPJS ini menawarkan solusi tata kelola bansos yang transparan, akuntabel, dan tepat sasaran.

Abstract

This study develops a theory-driven, non-empirical framework that reconceptualizes green chemistry principles as an integrated architecture for sustainable synthesis. Through systematic literature triangulation and comparative principle-matrix construction, environmentally benign reactions are analyzed across three hierarchical domains: molecular efficiency, process integrity, and systemic impact. The findings indicate that atom economy, catalytic selectivity, solvent engineering, and alternative energy modalities function as mechanistic determinants that reduce intrinsic waste formation. At the operational level, solvent substitution, catalyst recyclability, and energy modulation mediate the conversion of reaction-level improvements into measurable environmental benefits. Systemic evaluation further demonstrates that lifecycle assessment, renewable feedstock integration, and material durability extend sustainability beyond laboratory metrics toward macro-scale ecological and socio-economic relevance. The review advances a multi-level conceptual model that links mechanistic chemistry with sustainability science, transforming normative green principles into analytically operational constructs. By bridging molecular design and lifecycle governance, the study provides a theoretically robust foundation for guiding future innovation in environmentally benign synthetic chemistry.

Abstract

Community-based ecotourism has increasingly been promoted as a strategic pathway for fostering sustainable rural development, yet empirical evidence explaining how it systematically enables sustainable rural entrepreneurship remains limited, particularly in developing country contexts. This study examines the relationship between community-based ecotourism development and sustainable rural entrepreneurship in Indonesia, emphasizing the roles of participation, local governance, and environmental management. Employing an empirical quantitative design, data were collected from rural tourism communities managing ecotourism destinations through structured questionnaires administered to community entrepreneurs, cooperative leaders, and local managers. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling to assess measurement validity and test structural relationships among latent constructs. The findings demonstrate that community-based ecotourism development has a significant positive effect on sustainable rural entrepreneurship, reflected in enhanced economic viability, social value creation, and environmental orientation of rural enterprises. The results further reveal that collective learning, social capital, and institutional embeddedness mediate this relationship, transforming tourism activities into resilient and adaptive entrepreneurial systems. The study contributes to the literature by empirically positioning community-based ecotourism as a developmental platform that integrates governance, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, offering practical insights for rural development policy and community empowerment strategies.

Abstract

Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) has become increasingly important in Engineering Decision Support Systems because growing algorithmic complexity often reduces transparency, accountability, and practitioner confidence despite substantial improvements in predictive capability. This study develops a conceptual framework that integrates engineering data processing, artificial intelligence inference, explainability mechanisms, and human-centered decision support within a unified multilayer architecture. A non-empirical system design methodology based on design-oriented systems research, architecture-based evaluation, and scenario-driven analytical simulation is employed to examine architectural consistency, interoperability, traceability, and explainability across representative engineering contexts. The analytical results indicate that explanation fidelity, interpretability, transparency, traceability, and modular scalability function as complementary engineering quality attributes that collectively strengthen trustworthy decision support while preserving logical consistency between engineering evidence and computational reasoning. The proposed architecture also demonstrates technology independence and adaptability across heterogeneous engineering domains through explicit modular interactions and standardized information flows. This study contributes an architecture-centered perspective that advances theoretical understanding of explainable engineering intelligence while providing a reproducible conceptual foundation for future empirical implementation, quantitative validation, and standardized evaluation of trustworthy Engineering Decision Support Systems.

Abstract

Palang Merah Remaja (PMR) Wira merupakan wadah pembinaan generasi muda dalam pengembangan jiwa kemanusiaan dan keterampilan pertolongan pertama. Namun, masih terbatasnya media aktualisasi bagi anggota PMR untuk mengukur kemampuan dan kesiapan dalam menghadapi situasi kedaruratan menjadi permasalahan yang memerlukan solusi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pertolongan pertama, kepemimpinan, kreativitas digital, dan kepedulian sosial melalui penyelenggaraan YURECA Competition II di Jawa Timur. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi kegiatan secara daring, pendaftaran peserta melalui sistem informasi, technical meeting, pelaksanaan kompetisi secara hybrid (online–offline), dan evaluasi peserta berdasarkan rubrik penilaian pada sepuluh bidang lomba PMR. Kegiatan diikuti oleh 295 peserta dan 21 pembina dari 29 sekolah di 14 kabupaten/kota. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta dalam bidang pertolongan pertama dan kesiapsiagaan bencana, meningkatnya keterampilan literasi digital melalui lomba jurnalistik, serta terbangunnya jejaring dan motivasi kemanusiaan antarpeserta. Disimpulkan bahwa model kompetisi hibrida efektif dalam meningkatkan jiwa kemanusiaan, keterampilan teknis, serta partisipasi remaja dalam aksi sosial berbasis kepalangmerahan. Keberlanjutan program direkomendasikan melalui penguatan inovasi teknologi dan integrasi pelatihan secara berkala.
