Abstract

UD. XeviProduction is a home industry in snacks that has a high dependence on human labor activities. The pressing process results in excessive fatigue so that the performance on the job is not optimal. This fatigue condition causes musculoskeletal muscle disorders in pressing operators. This study aims to evaluate work postures that affect operators and recommendations for work aids to minimize complaints due to improper work postures on press sealer machine operators. Nordic Body Map (NBM), Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), and Anthropometry are ergonomic approaches used in research. NBM is used to distinguish pain from the neck to the feet. The REBA method is used to analyze body posture. The anthropometric method is used to make a product whose size is adjusted by human body posture. The results of the NBM identification revealed that the neck pain, the back was very sore, the waist was very sore, the hip hurt, the left thigh hurt, and the right thigh hurt. Posture analysis of UD pressing workers. In addition, based on the REBA calculation result, distinguish a risk score of 8, which is high. The tool designed is an ergonomic chair. After the tool has been made, the risk of workers decreases to a score of 2, which is low

Abstract

The widespread use of mobile phones has gained opportunities for the services business. B-CELL is a small-sized firm that sells and buys cellphones, prepaid top-ups, cellphone accessories, and cellphone services. Similar businesses around the area resulted in challenging competition. This study aims to evaluate the internal and external factors of the B-Cell service business and determine the priority of marketing strategies based on the integration of the SWOT and QSPM approaches. The results of this study identified that the strength factor with the highest weight was a reasonably strategic location and fast and friendly service. Furthermore, the highest weight weakness factor is the poor distribution ability. For the opportunity factor, the highest weight is the quality of products recognized by consumers and high consumer demand. It was found that the threat factor with the highest weight was innovation in marketing, and marketing strategies were required to always be up-to-date in providing information to consumers. SWOT matrix shows that the SO strategy is to meet market demand, improve service quality, and market products using online media. The WO strategy includes providing pre-order systems, expanding supplier selection criteria, and improving facilities and the quality of Human Resources. ST strategy includes routinely conducting market research and improving service quality and Human Resources. WT's strategy is to conduct market research for innovations and improve the quality of human resources by conducting training. The marketing strategy recommendation based on the QSPM with the highest ranking is to regularly research market desires. The lowest rank is to innovate the right marketing strategy.

Abstract

CV. DDD is a company engaged in construction services. In the construction of the Pp3 Blitar Hall renovation project, State University of Malang, there was a delay in project completion which had an impact on the quality of the project. In project work, there are several things that are required to be taken into consideration including finance, equipment, materials, labor, and time. So based on these considerations, the work in a project can be carried out properly. Project management needs to be done, so that the smooth running of the project can be carried out properly and optimally. The purpose of this study is to identify risk events and risk agents the factors that cause project delays. House of Risk is the method used in this research. The results of this study are the identification of risk events against the analysis of project delays, there are twelve risk events and 15 potential causes of risk events. This research also produces scenarios of five priority mitigation strategies, namely purchasing materials planned for weekly or monthly needs, looking for closer suppliers, buying lots at lower prices and sufficient safety stock and applying the material requirements planning method to find out more details of the lead time of each material.

Abstract

PT AKA  is a multinational enterprise engaged in the cement industry. One of the supporting raw materials in cement production is cement bags. Demand for cement bags is directly proportional to the demand for cement. The production division has been experiencing the problem of inefficiency in determining the supply of cement bags. This study aims to evaluate the company's policy in controlling the supply of raw materials for cement bags by comparing the 3 Min-Max, EOQ, and Two-Bin methods. Quantitative data were used: demand for cement bags, storage, and ordering costs. Forecasting data calculations were performed using Minitab software. The results showed that the Min-Max method produced the optimal efficiency with a total inventory cost of Rp. 119,107,700 for 40 kg cement bags, and Rp. 35,528,720 for 50 kg cement bag.

Abstract

The Online Single Submission (OSS) system has a very positive impact on business actors in making permit applications faster and simpler. The application of the OSS system requires an evaluation regarding the acceptance of the system. This is done so that it becomes a benchmark to assess the acceptance of an information technology by users. This research is motivated to analyze the acceptance of the Online Single Submission (OSS) information system using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This method uses the TAM method, namely the user's perception of the ease of using technology (Perceived Ease of Use), the user's perception of the benefits / usefulness of technology (Perceived Usefulness), acceptance of information systems (Acceptance of IT) accepted by the community. This research was conducted by t-test and F-test. The results of the analysis show that the significant value in hypothesis-1 and hypothesis-2 indicates that the significance value is more than 0.05, which means that variable X has a significant effect on variable Y.

Abstract

Accuracy is a key point to minimize extra goods. This research aims in evaluating goods demand in a small to medium-sized enterprise. Time series was used as a research approach. The data used in this research is the demand data for powdered coffee within and outside the city for one year. This resurch begun with data collection, analysis, and finally forecasting stage using the time series method. The analysis results show that the demand data for Eyang Kakung powdered coffee SMEs has a horizontal data pattern. The time series method used is moving averages and exponential smoothing according to the data pattern classification. After forecasting, the results show MAD=56.59, MSE=4676.52, and MAPE=10.74% for demand within the city and MAD=24.34, MSE=969.46, and MAPE=4.65% for demand outside the city. Based on the forecasting results, it can be concluded that the time series method can be used as a tool to forecast demand for powdered coffee within and outside the city. By using exponential smoothing with α=0.5, it can help SMEs make decisions in preparing raw material stocks and improving production efficiency.

Abstract

One way to improve occupational safety and health is to establish a culture of safety within the workplace. PT MNM is an international company that has established a safety culture through management and employee commitment. This research aims to evaluate the work safety climate in the bagging division using a multiple linear regression based on a statistical approach. NOSACQ-50 was used as a questionnaire instrument, accompanied by seven independent and one dependent variable. The population involved in this research was 36 Bagging workers in the Production Department. Once the validity, reliability, and normality tests were conducted, the data was calculated using multiple linear statistical hypothesis tests. The research results show that four independent variables significantly influence work safety climate. Namely management empowerment (X1), safety management empowerment (X2), safety management justice (X3), communication and work safety training, and trust in competition for work safety from colleagues (X6). In addition, the three remaining dimensions whose results do not significantly influence the work safety climate. Namely variables of worker commitment to safety (X4), worker safety priorities and not tolerating danger risks (X5), and trust in the effectiveness of the safety system (X7). The final results show that three insignificant variables can improve safety culture.

Abstract

Continuous quality control along the production line is a crucial factor in achieving high productivity. PT. TRZ is a producer of various types of plastic-based products that implement strict quality control standards. However, it is still found that production targets still need to be achieved due to machine damage. This machine breaks. The company needs to be able to fulfill consumer orders on time. This research aims to evaluate product defects resulting from damage to the Jumbo Loom machine. Statistical process control evaluates factors in cutting machine defects, thread splice marks, and sheet shrinkage. The research results show that the company faces problems regarding machine defects, including machine running, thread splice marks, and shriveled sheets. This research aims to reduce defects in machines. The Seven Tools method is used to make repairs. From the processing results on the control chart, there were daily defects that exceeded the control limits. Therefore, it was carried out using a fishbone diagram. The processing results obtained 23 indicators of the causes of the three types of defects.

Abstract

Product quality is a crucial factor in maintaining business continuity by implementing essential processes. The traditional production process of a sarong involves non-machined looms (ATBM), which can lead to defects that reduce the quality of the sarongs. This research aims to evaluate the occurrence of defects throughout the ATBM sarong production process using the Grey-FMEA and RCA approaches. The results of the Grey FMEA method showed that defects occurred in woven sarongs due to the sheath-cutting error and color mixing score during the thread dyeing process. The factor causing the defect is the error in cutting long and short woven sarongs differently due to a mismatch in the pattern of the woven sarong. Therefore, the proposed improvement is that artisans should concentrate on making woven sarongs. Analysis of the causes of sheath defects in the color mixing process during the yarn dyeing process found that poor quality paint and yarn affected the process of dye absorption into the yarn. The proposed improvement includes quality dye and thread raw materials that should be provided so that quality products will be produced.

Abstract

Work accidents occur in the work environment, which can occur due to unsafe work environment conditions or human error. PT TKA is a construction services company located in the Gresik Regency, and its work specifications use fiberglass and HDPE materials. In the work activities carried out by PT TKA, several unsafe actions or unsafe conditions were found which caused accidents. This research aims to evaluate the dangers and causes of danger based on the conditions and activities of pipe installation projects based on the risk of unsafe actions and conditions. Job Safety Analysis, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control were used as research methods. The research respondents were five expert employees on pipeline projects. The research showed that eleven stages of pipe installation project work were identified, resulting in small, medium, and large-scale hazard risks. The research results show that unsafe conditions dominate the occurrence of danger and the risk of work accidents.
