Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang strategi seniman tradisi dalam mempertahankan eksistensinya di era pandemi. Penelitian difokuskan pada kelompok kesenian tradisi Ketoprak Madura Rukun Karya yang berasal dari Kabupaten Sumenep. Di masa pandemi, kelompok Rukun Karya mengalami dampak yang cukup signifikan, dengan dibatalkannya beberapa daftar pementasan selama setahun. Kelompok ini kemudian mampu membalikkan kondisi keterpurukan melalui kesuksesannya dalam memproduksi konten Film Komedi Rukun Karya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan multidisipliner. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik observasi partisipatoris, pengamatan mendalam, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Temuan yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini antara lain 1) Rukun Karya melakukan peralihan mode pertunjukan dari ketoprak Madura menjadi Film Komedi yang memiliki dua jenis bentuk penceritaan yakni cerita adaptasi (gaya ketoprak, sastra Timur-Tengah, sejarah, dan televisi) dan cerita realitas kehidupan masyarakat Madura; 2) Peralihan mode pertunjukan dari ketoprak menjadi Film Komedi didasari oleh mekanisme industri (budaya) melalui media (youtube) yakni strandarisasi, komodifikasi dan massifikasi; 3) Peralihan mode pertunjukan berdampak pada perubahan cara penyajian dan cara menikmati sajian pertunjukan, beberapa contohnya ialah hilangnya interaksi seniman-penonton, serta digantikannya cita rasa dalam menikmati sajian pertunjukan secara kolektif menjadi cita rasa yang privat dan sangat individualistik.

Abstract

Perbincangan hangat saat ini di dunia pendidikan adalah mengenai belajar di rumah atau belajar daring. Kondisi ini membangkitkan kembali prinsip dalam pilar pendidikan, yaitu harus kembali mengajarkan Learning How to Learn (mengajarkan cara belajar), bukan hanya Learning What to Learn (belajar tentang sesuatu). Mahasiswa dapat belajar untuk tahu, belajar melakukan sesuatu hal, belajar untuk menjadi sesuatu dengan mencari sumber belajar terpercaya. Akan sangat menarik ketika pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia menjadi berbeda dari pembelajaran biasanya. Asumsinya adalah akan tercipta berbagai kreativitas dan produktivitas dari mahasiswa. Namun, apakah pembelajaran daring ini mendapatkan timbal balik dan sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran? Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap berbagai model pembelajaran daring yang dilakukan dosen pada pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia. Tulisan ini dapat dijadikan bahan evaluasi terhadap pembelajaran daring yang telah dilakukan. Kata kunci: daring, persepsi, tanggapan, mahasiswa, Covid-19

Abstract

Mamaca merupakan tradisi masyarakat Madura yang berupa kegiatan membaca teks berupa puisi dengan cara dinyanyikan yang bersumber dari cerita babad, kisah para nabi, kisah para tokoh sejarah, maupun cerita yang diambil dari kisah atau tokoh fiktif yang bermuatan petotor atau nasihat. Hal ini membuat mamaca sangat berpengaruh bagi pembentukan eksistensi masyarakat Madura. Melihat pentingnya tradisi ini bagi masyarakat Madura, tentu menjadi penting untuk melestarikan tradisi yang mulai punah ini. Pelestarian tradisi mamaca ini salah satunya bisa dilakukan melalui desa wisata budaya di Madura, khususnya di Sumenep. Penelitian ini mencoba menganalisis peluang munculnya desa wisata di Sumenep dengan berbasis tradisi mamaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk memahami suatu gejala sosial secara holistik (utuh). Metode kualitatif ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk memahami masyarakat dan memandang mereka sebagaimana mereka mengungkapkan pandangan terhadap dirinya. Dengan adanya tradisi mamaca di Desa Kebundadap Barat, Kecamatan Saronggi, Kabupaten Sumenep, harusnya dapat dirintis destinasi desa wisata budaya melalui peraturan desa (Perdes). Dengan adanya destinasi desa wisata budaya diharapkan tradisi mamaca akan dapat dilestarikan sebagai aset budaya desa. Selain itu, dengan adanya destinasi desa wisata budaya diharapkan perekonomian masyarakat Desa Kedungdadap Barat dapat meningkat. Kata kunci: desa wisata budaya, kearifan lokal, dan tradisi mamaca

Abstract

Levi-Strauss's the theory of structuralism is used as an analytical model to interpret the myth of Radhin Sahgârâ. Using this theory, there are two steps to analyze the structure of the myth. The first step, to find mytheme-mytheme in myth.In the second step, there are some figures who have an important role in the life of the community at that time, and it influenced some Madurese beliefs today. The role of Kè Polèng for Madurese, especially in Pamekasan area is a mantra for traditional healing media.Kè Polèng is believed the character that adapted the Bima's character. So, the batik craftsmen call the batik with the black-and-white characteristic as Bâtè’ Polèng. Besides, the other example that related with the myth of Radhin Saghârâis a prohibition for the fisherman to catch andkill the dolphin. The belief that is still practiced by the Madurese is a form of sacred tribute to the myths in Madura. Keyword: myth, Madurese culture, Levi-Strauss’ Structuralism.

Abstract

Mamaca belongs to the tradition of Madurese community in which it is conducted by singing the poetry text. This explanation ensures that mamaca uses a beautiful language. The stories contained in mamaca text are very diverse, some are taken from babad story, the stories of the prophets, the stories of historical figures, and fictional stories or figures containing petotor or advices. Based on the diverse contents written on the texts, it makes mamaca plays an important role in the existence and influence on oral mamaca tradition in Madurese community. Its existence in the community is done by strengthening the literacy through mamaca. Literacy strengthening through mamaca was expected to become a medium in strengthening the character of Madurese community, especially by delivering the religious values. Qualitative method was applied in this reserach to understand a social phenomenon holistically (as a whole). This qualitative method allowed us to understand and view people as they expressed their views of themselves.

Abstract

Mamaca is a tradition of the Madurese community in the form of reading texts in the form of poetry by singing them so that mamaca must use beautiful or archaic language. The stories in the Mamaca text come from babad stories, stories of prophets, stories of historical figures, as well as stories taken from fictional stories or figures that are filled with petotor or advice. Based on the various contents of the text, making mamaca is very important for strengthening the character of young people, one of them in Situbondo. Mamaca is one of the intangible inheritances (WTB) in Situbondo. The problem that then arises is the difficulty of regenerating the mamaca tradition. Through the piloting of the Mamaca School in the Arjasa Situbondo District, it is hoped that the Mamaca tradition will continue to grow rapidly among the younger generation. With the acceptance of the mamaca tradition in the younger generation, it is hoped that character education can be carried out through this tradition.

Abstract

The culture of an ethnic group can be known through its reflection in literary works. The Tanjung Kemarau novel by Royyan Julian tells about the complexities of the socio-cultural life of the Madurese people in Branta Pesisir Village, Pamekasan Regency, Madura. This study aims to describe the Madurese philosophy contained in the novel Tanjung Kemarau by Royyan Julian. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. This study uses the theory of literary anthropology to examine the main problem in the Tanjung Kemarau novel, namely the Madurese philosophy. The results of the study show that the Madurese philosophy reflected in the Tanjung Kemarau novel is abhântal sahâdât, smokepo' faith, apajung Èslam, (bearing creed, covered with faith, covered with Islam). Moreover, there are also found bhuppa', bhâbhu', ghuru, rato, (father, mother, teacher, and king or leader). The other phylosophy terms are abhântal ombâk, smokepo' angèn, apajung langngè', (cushioned by the waves, covered with wind, under the sky's umbrella) also Ango'an potèa tolang è tembhâng potè mata (better white bones than whites of eyes). Kar ngarkar colpè' (paw continuously pecking), Rampa' naong bâringèn korong (shady shady, banyan brackets) are stated in the novel. All the Madurese philosophy revealed in the novel describes the philosophy in the social reality of the Madurese people.

Abstract

Karangbayat Village is one of the villages in Sumberbaru District that has prepared itself to go to one of the DRPPA (Women Friendly and Child Care Villages) in the Jember Regency. In 2023, the Karangbayat Regional Government will start preparing for the reactivation of the Child Task Force and the Gender Mainstreaming Working Group. Departing from the phenomena that have been explained, the Jember University service team carried out service to Karangbayat Village, Sumberbaru District, Jember Regency in the form of socialization about Women-Friendly and Child Care Villages. Through this socialization, it is hoped that Karangbayat Village in 2024 can realize a Women-Friendly and Child Care Village. In the implementation of community service activities for the Madurese ethnic community in Karangbayat Village, Sumberbaru District, Jember Regency, several methods of implementation and assistance will be applied. The stages that will be carried out are the preparation stage, the implementation of assistance, and evaluation.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan mendiskusikan kearifan lokal, khususnya tradisi kawin lari, yang terefleksi di dalam karya sastra. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Objek materialnya adalah novel Mangalua karya Idris Pasaribu, sedangkan objek formal berupa teori antropologi sastra dan teori representasi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan kuatnya nilai-nilai lokalitas dan dinamika peradaban. Hal tersebut merepresentasikan religi berupa aliran kepercayaan (Parmalim), agama samawi (Kristen), kearifan lokal berupa tradisi kawin lari (mangalua), dan refleksi multivalensi budaya. Dari berbagai tanda (bahasa dan warna lokal) dan konsep (dalam pikiran pengarang dan pembaca) tentang kawin lari, maka dapat dimaknai bahwa novel Mangalua merepresentasikan kisah kehidupan masyarakat Batak Toba masa lalu (masa kolonial Belanda), baik menyangkut religi maupun kearifan lokal. Dari perspektif budaya (antropologi), tradisi kawin lari mengandung nilai positif karena mampu mengakomodasi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan dalam menyelesaikan persoalan yang dialami oleh masyarakat di tanah Batak. Tradisi kawin lari menjadi alternatif solusi secara kultural yang bersifat fleksibel dan humanis.

Abstract

The topic of feminism in Japan is something that society has not yet fully accepted. This is the reason why researchers chose the novel Susu and Eggs to be used as the object of study. The discrimination that occurs against female characters in the novel leads to extreme actions and thoughts regarding women's freedom regarding their rights. Therefore, the novel Susu and Eggs is studied using radical feminism theory. The aim of this research is to describe the structural analysis and aspects of radical feminism in the object of study. Data discovery was carried out using the library study method, namely reading the novel in its entirety. The description of the data is carried out through qualitative descriptive methods. The research results show that there is a relationship between the title, theme and characterization in the novel. The title relates to the major theme which is supported by the minor theme. The theme is depicted through events that support the characters' characters. On the other hand, the aspects of radical feminism found are divided into five parts, namely: (1) women and their bodies which are related to Midoriko and Natsuko. Midoriko as a teenager who hates the nature of women, then Natsuko as a single woman who cannot find pleasure in sex, but wants to have children through a sperm donor; (2) the inequality of roles in the household which is depicted through the character Yusa Rika who hates her ex-husband; (3) women's beauty standards which include women's body shape and nipple color; (4) stereotypes about women's bodies that discuss women's instincts to get pregnant and societal stigma that prioritizes the penis over the vagina; (5) and sexual violence which includes the act of rape against the character Zen Yuriko.
