Abstract

Household food consumption patterns exhibit variability, with households serving as prominent contributors to food waste generation, thereby leading to adverse economic ramifications. This study aims to calculate the amount of household cooked rice waste, calculate the economic value loss from household cooked rice waste, and analyze the factors that influence household cooked rice waste in rural and urban areas. The investigation was carried out in two distinct locales: Purwo, Sekarmojo, Purwosari, Pasuruan (representing rural areas) and Sebani, Gadingrejo, Pasuruan (representing urban areas). The weight of household cooked rice waste is computed utilizing the fDMM (Faktor Dalam Masak Mentah or Factor in Raw Food Cooking) methodology. Economic loss incurred due to household cooked rice waste is estimated by multiplying the prevailing rice price by the converted volume of rice waste. Multiple regression analysis is employed to discern the contributing factors to household cooked rice waste. Findings indicate a higher incidence of household cooked rice waste in rural settings compared to urban counterparts, consequently resulting in greater economic repercussions. In Sekarmojo, household cooked rice waste is affected by several factors, including the quantity of rice cooked, household income, family size, and frequency of rice consumption. Likewise, in Sebani, household cooked rice waste is affected by variables such as the quantity of rice cooked, household size, frequency of rice consumption, and the utilization of mobile phones for food procurement.

Abstract

IbM program aims to establish an independent and environmentally conscious society, creating waste treatment technology based on local resources, increase the knowledge and ability of the partners in the application of appropriate technology to increase awareness of farmer groups and communities in life which is healthy, clean and safe. IbM targets in the program include: (1) each farmer group members can process animal waste into biogas and compost, where the output of this activity is beneficial for the welfare of their farm and family. Their fuel cost to society is shaded by POSDAYA for domestic use, thereby reducing household expenditure. (2) The quality of human resources and independence of farmer groups increased. (3) creating a partnership or partnerships between board and community to form an effective communication so that the work program can be run well. (4) The formation of a society that is healthy, clean and safe as the form has been the achievement of environmental sustainability can minimize environmental damage. The method used in this activity are: (1) training of livestock waste treatment and market waste into compost and biogas, (2) demo and facilitation of making biogas and compost together with farmer groups and the community as a member of Posdaya, (3) extension the importance of a healthy lifestyle, (4) Assistance and guidance to the public on the implementation of healthy lifestyles, (5) Training of leadership (leadership) for the management, (6) Assistance and guidance to the process of the formation process of biogas and compost, (7) Manufacture of biogas installations together with all members of farmer groups and Posdaya (society). The results in this implementation are: (1) Most members MITRA around 80% could be in the process of biogas production (running charging raw material in biogas), (2) Most of the members of farmer groups (Partner) ranges from 80% could be in the process of production management ( scheduling, setting raw materials and cooperation in the composting process), (3) manufacture of biogas installations in (partners) have completed 100% and ready for use by partners and can be enjoyed by people around, (4) biogas is already used by partners, namely for lighting public facilities, cooking and lighting mosque, (5) Partners and the community has shown for behavioral changes in waste bins either wet garbage, plastics, organic waste, and livestock manure. Program IbM ini bertujuan untuk. membentuk masyarakat mandiri dan sadar lingkungan, menciptakan teknologi pengolahan limbah berbasis sumberdaya lokal, meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan kelompok mitra dalam penerapanteknologi tepat guna meningkatkan kepedulian kelompok tani dan masyarakat dalam berkehidupan yang sehat, bersih dan aman. Target dalam program IbM ini antara lain: (1) setiap anggota kelompok tani mampu mengolah limbah ternak menjadi biogas dan kompos, dimana output dari kegiatan ini bermanfaat bagi usahataninya dan kesejahteraan keluarga. Adanya bahan bakar murah bagi masyarakat yang ternaungi oleh POSDAYA untuk keperluan rumah tangga sehingga mengurangi pengeluaran keluarga.(2) kualitas SDM dan kemandirian kelompok tani meningkat. (3) menciptakan kerjasama atau kemitraan antara pengurus dengan masyarakat sehingga terbentuk komunikasi yang efektif sehingga program kerja bisa berjalan dengan baik. (4) terbentuknya kehidupan masyarakat yang sehat, bersih dan aman sebagai wujud telah tercapainya kelestarian lingkungan dapat meminimalisir kerusakan lingkungan. Metode pendekatan yang dipakai dalam kegiatan ini adalah: (1) pelatihan pengolahan limbah ternak dan sampah pasar menjadi kompos dan biogas, (2) demo dan pendampingan pembuatan biogas dan kompos bersama-sama dengan kelompok tani dan masyarakat sebagai anggota posdaya, (3) penyuluhan pentingnya pola hidup sehat, (4) Pendampingan dan pembinaan terhadap masyarakat terhadap penerapan pola hidup sehat, (5) Pelatihan leadership(kepemimpinan) bagi pengurus, (6) Pendampingan dan pembinaan terhadap proses proses pembentukan biogas dan kompos, (7) Pembuatan instalasi biogas bersama-sama dengan seluruh anggota kelompok tani dan posdaya (masyarakat). Hasil dalam pelaksanaan ini adalah: (1) Sebagian besar anggota MITRA berkisar 80% bisa dalam proses produksi biogas (menjalankan pengisian bahan baku dalam biogas), (2) Sebagian besar anggota kelompok tani (Mitra)berkisar 80% bisa dalam proses manajemen produksi (penjadwalan, pengaturan bahan baku dan kerjasama dalam proses pembuatan kompos), (3) Pembuatan instalasi biogas di (mitra) sudah selesai 100% dan siap digunakan oleh mitra dan bisa dinikmati oleh masyarakat sekitar, (4) Biogas sudah digunakan oleh mitra yaitu untuk penerangan fasilitas publik, memasak dan penerangan masjid, (5) Mitra dan masyarakat sudah menunjukan perubahan prilaku dalam membuang sampah baik itu sampah basah, plastik, sampah kering dan kotoran ternak.

Abstract

Kawasan kampung Semare yang berada di pesisir laut dengan sebagian besar masyarakatnya menjadi nelayan, membawa image bahwa kecukupan makanan berupa hewani/ikan terpenuhi dimana jenis makanan ini mengandung gizi yang baik bagi pertumbuhan anak. Namun kenyataannya saat ini maish banyak anak-anak usia balita di wilayah ini yang mengalami kegagalan pemenuhan gizi alias gizi buruk. Data dari Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Pasuruan menyatakan bahwa daerah pesisir Pasuruan menyumbang sekitar 20% anak yang mengalami gizi buruk. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik ibu rumah tangga dan menganalisis pengaruh faktor faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi balita di lokasi penelitian. Lokasi penelitian di Kampung Semare Kecamatan Kraton Kabupaten Pasuruan. Sampel adalah ibu rumah tangga, jumlah sampel adalah 48 orang. Data berupa data primer dan data sekunder, dimana data primer didapat dari wawancara, kuisener dan observasi langsung sedangkan data sekunder didapat dari pemerintah daerah. Merode analisis menggunakan analisis diskriptif tabulatif dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi balita adalah pendapatan rumah tangga, frekuensi mengikuti kegiatan posyandu dan umur ibu rumah tangga

Abstract

Abstrak: Permasalahan lingkungan menjadi masalah yang cukup kompleks saat ini, dimana Provinsi Jawa Timur merupakan salah satu provinsi yang turut menyumbang timbunan sampah cukup besar yaitu sebesar 4.110,04 ton/hari. Dimana 38,27% dari sampah tersebut adalah sampah rumah tangga dengan komposisi sampah terbesar adalah sampah organik yaitu sekitar 75%. Dengan demikian, diperlukan pendampingan untuk mengolah sampah organik tersebut salah satunya menjadi eco enzyme dan produk turunannya yang nantinya hasil dari olahan tersebut dapat dipasarkan melalui media sosial yang ada. Begitupula dengan keadaan di Desa Baledono, Kabupaten Pasuruan yang juga memiliki timbunan sampah organik yang cukup melimpah. Oleh karena itu, pendampingan tersebut sangat penting untuk dilakukan sehingga dapat meningkatkan softskill maupun hardskill dari masyarakat Desa Baledono. Kegiatan pendampingan di Desa Baledono dilaksanakan bersama dengan anggota kelompok tani maupun anggota kelompok wanita tani dengan jumlah peserta mencapai 30 orang yang dilaksanakan di balai Desa Baledono. Kegiatan pendampingan tersebut dilaksanakan hingga masyarakat Desa Baledono dapat mengolah limbah yang ada menjadi eco enzyme dan produk turunannya dengan persentase peningkatan kemampuan dari mitra mencapai 85%, yang didapatkan dari hasil evaluasi berupa pre test dan juga post test.Abstract: Environmental problems are quite complex problem at the moment, where East Java Province is one of the provinces that contributes to quite a large amount of waste, namely 4,110.04 tons/day. Where 38.27% of the waste is household waste with the largest waste composition being organic waste, around 75%. Thus, assistance is needed to process organic waste, one of which is into eco enzyme and its derivative products, which can then be marketed through existing social media, likewise with the situation in Baledono Village, Pasuruan Regency, which also has quite abundant piles of organic waste. Therefore, this assistance is very important to provide so that it can improve the soft skills and hard skills of the people of Baledono Village. Mentoring activities in Baledono Village were carried out together with members of farmer groups and members of farmer women's groups with a total of 30 participants and were carried out at the Baledono Village hall. This mentoring activity was carried out until the people of Baledono Village could process existing waste into eco enzyme and its derivative products with a percentage increase in partner capabilities reaching 85%, which was obtained from the evaluation results in the form of pre-tests and post-tests.

Abstract

This study aims to identify consumer characteristics and examine the key factors influencing purchasing decisions for potted ornamental flowers in Bumiaji District, Batu City, Indonesia. As a region known for its floral tourism, Batu City offers a growing market for ornamental plants, especially with rising consumer income levels. While previous research has largely focused on personal, cultural, and psychological factors, less attention has been paid to the role of social marketing and shifting consumer preferences in fostering long-term purchase loyalty. Adopting a quantitative approach, this study surveyed 100 respondents and employed logit regression analysis to identify the most influential factors affecting buying behavior. The results indicate that personal, cultural, and psychological factors significantly shape consumer decisions, whereas social factors have no notable impact. This is likely because buying ornamental flowers is largely driven by individual preferences and needs rather than social influence. Variables under the social factor, such as buying based on friends’ suggestions, the perceived social role of the flowers, or general interest due to quality, may not directly relate to peer pressure or social conformity, but instead overlap with personal or psychological motivations. Consumers may prioritize aesthetic appeal, emotional satisfaction, or functional use over social recommendations, which diminishes the relative importance of external social cues in the decision-making process. This suggests that in the context of ornamental plant purchases, decision-making is more introspective and self-directed, highlighting the need for marketing strategies that focus on personal experience, quality, and emotional connection rather than social trends or peer influence.

Abstract

Purpose – This socialization and training activity aims to motivate business actors to continue to improve product quality and maintain food safety standards, as well as provide information, knowledge, and technical aspects of managing halal certificates so that Pucangsari village MSME products can develop further and improve the economy of the community and village. Design/methodology/approach – The method of implementing community service uses a survey, socialization, training, and evaluation approach. Socialization and training activities were carried out on July 14, 2024 at the Pucangsari village hall, after the socialization and training activities were continued with evaluation activities of the socialization and training activities. The evaluation results are used to improve the implementation of further training and the mentoring process after the program ends Findings – The result of this community service activity is that business actors in Pucangsari village gain knowledge and information on the importance of food safety and the halal certification process for food products, beverages and livestock slaughter results. Knowledge and management of halal certification has increased among business actors, this is indicated by their willingness to immediately take care of halal certification for their products Originality/value – Halal certificates are no longer foreign to the community, especially in the Pucangsari village community. However, only 3 UMKM have halal certificates for their products. This indicates that business actors' awareness and limited knowledge of halal certification is still low. Therefore, this community service activity is important to be carried out so that business actors in Puscangsari increase their awareness and knowledge of halal certification so that the number of products with halal certification will increase.

Abstract

Purpose – The aim of this activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of Raudhatul Athfal teachers in cultivating organic plants and processing healthy food as an effort to encourage students to enjoy eating vegetables and fish. Design/methodology/approach – The method of implementing community service is to use a training approach, activity evaluation and mentoring. The training activities were carried out on July 31, 2024 and August 10, 2024 in the meeting room and yard of IGRA Sukorejo. The training activity was then continued with mentoring activities and an evaluation of the training. The results of the activity evaluation are used for technical recommendations for mentoring target partners. Findings – The result of this community service activity is that teachers of Raudhatul Athfal Sukorejo gain knowledge and information about organic plant cultivation and healthy food processing with raw materials available around their homes. The evaluation results show an increase in the knowledge and skills of teachers in plant cultivation and healthy food processing. This is indicated by the presence of target partners who have started to apply technology and have succeeded in making healthy food at their workplace and at home. Originality/value – This community service activity provides environmentally friendly and safe organic plant cultivation technology for early childhood, in addition to food processing using raw materials that are usually grown at home or in Raudhatul Athfal educational units. The technology provided becomes material in the Raudhatul Athfal (RA) or PAUD Learning Implementation Plan.

Abstract

Potatoes are upland vegetable crops, which is the superior plant of Tosari District, Pasuruan Regency. Tosari potatoes are the largest contributor to production in East Java. The farmer profession is the main profession in this area, inherited from the family. The land area owned is inherited from the family. The agricultural land area varies, but still found farmers with a land area of more than one hectare. In this study, respondents were divided into two groups, namely farmers with a land area of ≥ 1 hectare called cluster I and respondent farmers with a land area of ≤ 0.5 hectares called cluster II. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of production inputs on potato production, to analyze the level of technical efficiency of potato farmers with different land areas, to analyze the factors affecting the level of technical efficiency. The study was conducted by interviewing 49 respondent farmers in Cluster I and 70 respondent farmers in Cluster II. This study uses the Cobb Douglas production function, the analytical methods used are the Stochastic Analysis Frontier (SFA) and the Tobit regression analysis. The results showed that the production inputs that had a significant effect on production in cluster I were seeds, fertilizers, and manure, while in cluster II were fertilizers and pesticides. The level of technical efficiency of farmers who have a land area of ≥ 1 hectare is greater than farmers with a land area of ≤0.5 hectares. The land area has a significant effect on the level of technical efficiency.

Abstract

Suku Tengger terkenal taat memegang ajaran nenek moyangnya khususnya dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Kegiatan konservasi telah dilakukan seperti  kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh tokoh adat, organisasi kemasyarakatan. Kendalanya adalah kurangnya minat generasi muda ikut serta di kegiatan konservasi. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku pemuda dalam konservasi berbasis kearifan lokal Suku Tengger. Penelitian di lakukan di Desa Tosari Kecamatan Tosari Kabupaten Pasuruan dengan pertimbangan bahwa Desa Tosari adalah salah satu wilayah yang di huni oleh Suku Tengger. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara dan kuisioener pada 62 responden yang dianlisis dengan regresi logit. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi secara nyata terhadap perilaku pemuda dalam konservasi adalah perilaku pemuda dalam perilaku konservasi adalah pengetahuan terhadap adat (kearifan lokal), pengetahuan konservasi, keikutsertaan organisasi adat. Hal ini disebabkan karena para pemuda di Suku Tengger masih aktif mengikuti kegiatan adat yang banyak ke arah konservasi sehingga mempengaruhi perilaku pemuda terhadap kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

IGRA Sukorejo, which is an organization of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) teachers in Sukorejo District, has implemented a program of learning and playing with parents in farming and processing the results of farming. The initial idea for learning to farm with family was to foster togetherness with parents while fulfilling children's nutrition. This IGRA plan has not been implemented optimally due to limited resources, such as human resources and supporting facilities and infrastructure, in addition, the Learning Implementation Plan has not been integrated into the curriculum. The purpose of this activity is to improve teachers' ability in preparing a Learning Implementation Plan on Farming with Parents as a local content subject in Raudhatul Athfal (RA). The PKM implementation approach method used is Socialization, Training/workshop, Mentoring, Monitoring and Evaluation. The result of this activity was an increase in the skills of Raudhatul Athfal (RA) teachers, 86.67% or 26 people were able to prepare and complete RPP. The post-test results showed that out of 30 participants representing 15 RAs at IGRA Sukorejo, they stated that they were willing to implement the science and technology provided in RA student learning. This activity provides new knowledge and skills for RA teachers in preparing the implementation of agriculture-based learning. The increase in teachers' knowledge and skills in preparing lesson plans is proven by the availability of agricultural lesson plans that are ready to be implemented.
