Abstract

Social media exposure is a condition in which individuals are exposed to information from social media such as Tiktok and can influence individual behavior including the formation of gardening interest. Gardening interest is a feeling of liking or being interested in doing gardening activities. This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of Tiktok social media exposure on gardening interest in @mini_garden12 followers. The research was conducted from October to December 2024 with the Tiktok account @mini_garden12 as the research location. The research method used is a survey with a quantitative approach. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling and taken by quota sampling with a total of 161 respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that the level of media exposure, namely duration, frequency, and attention, was categorized as very high and the level of interest in gardening was categorized as high. The independent variables of duration, frequency, and attention with the control variables of age, gender, education, residence, and type of smartphone operating system simultaneously affect interest in gardening. The variables of frequency, attention, and residence have a partial effect on interest in gardening while the variables of duration, age, gender, education, residence, and type of smartphone operating system have no partial effect. The independent variables and control variables influence the interest in gardening on Tiktok @mini_garden12 followers by 59.8% which is classified as quite strong and the rest is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in the field of agricultural product processing such as cassava have great potential to be developed through product innovation, effective marketing and good management. This study aims to analyze the effect of the marketing mix (4P) namely product, price, place and promotion on the purchase volume of cassava cheese in Argotelo Salatiga. The location of the study was at UMKM Argotelo in Argomulyo District, Salatiga City. The study used a case study with a sample determination method using Accidental Sampling of 100 respondents. The data collection was carried out by interviewing using a questionnaire. Data collection techniques used descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the 4P marketing mix (product, price, place and promotion) simultaneously has a significant effect on purchase volume. The price variable partially has a significant effect on the purchase volume of cassava cheese. While the product, place and promotion variables partially do not affect the purchase volume of cassava cheese in Argotelo Salatiga.

Abstract

Subsidized fertilizer is one of the government policies aimed at increasing agricultural productivity. The farmer cards are used to support the implementation of fertilizer subsidies to ensure accurate targeting. Gemuh District recorded the highest number of fertilizer purchase transactions in Central Java Province from January 1 to April 30, 2022. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer use, measure farmers' satisfaction with subsidized fertilizer. The research was conducted in Gemuh District, Kendal Regency from September to November 2024 with a total of 100 farmer respondents The research method employed a case study approach with a quantitative methodology. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The CSI analysis results indicate that the farmers' satisfaction level is 81.01%, which falls into the very satisfied category. Attributes in Quadrant I of the IPA analysis include quality, consistency between allocated and received fertilizer, and ease of access to information on subsidized fertilizer availability. Quadrant II includes price, ease of obtaining subsidized fertilizer, and the availability of subsidized fertilizer stock. Quadrant III consists of the consistency of allocation with balanced fertilization recommendations and farmers’ requests. Quadrant IV includes the ease of transactions using the Farmer Cards.

Abstract

Coffee is an agricultural commodity in the plantation sector that has superior potential in improving the economy in Indonesia. The development of the times makes coffee consumer preferences increasing. And causes business people to be able to adapt to the times in order to be able to maintain their business for consumer interest. This study aims to analyze the influence of “brand image”, “life style” and “trend” on the consumers’ interest to buy contemporary coffee at Golden Brown Café. The study was conducted in February-March 2024 on Golden Brown Café consumers. The research method used in the study is quantitative descriptive, with a total sample of 110 respondents. The data collection method used in this study is by survey method in the form of questionnaires along with using Likert scale in categorizing questions and documentation. Data analysis uses descriptive and multiple linear regression statistics. The result of the descriptive analysis of this study is that “brand image” is dominated by very good responses, “life style” is loaded by good responses, while “trends” responses are not very good. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that “brand image”, “life style”, and “trend” partially have a significant and positive effect on buying intent. Simultaneously, “brand image”, “life style” and “trend” have a significant effect on buying intent by yielding determination value of 60.2%.

Abstract

The role of farmer groups as a learning class, a cooperation vehicle, and a production unit in the implementation of organic vegetable farming is important to produce quality and safe-to-consume products. This research aims to describe the role of the Bangkit Merbabu Farmer Group, describe the implementation of organic farming SOP by the Bangkit Merbabu Farmer Group, and analyze the influence of farmer group roles on the implementation of organic vegetable farming SOPs. The study was conducted from November 6 to December 28, 2023. The research location was the Bangkit Merbabu Farmer Group located in Kaliduren Hamlet, Batur Village, Getasan Sub-district, Semarang Regency, Central Java. The research method used was a census method with saturated sampling involving all 53 members of the Bangkit Merbabu Farmer Group. The analysis methods used were quantitative descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis. The research shows that the Bangkit Merbabu Farmer Group has characteristics such as: the average age of members is 19-59 years old, the majority have only completed elementary education, and farming is their primary occupation. The results of this research indicate that the role of farmer groups as a learning class, a cooperation vehicle, and a production unit falls into the good category with percentages of 58%, 53%, and 60% for the production unit falling into the rare category. The implementation of organic vegetable farming SOPs has a percentage of 49% and falls into the rare category. Based on the SPSS output results in multiple linear regression analysis, the learning class, cooperation vehicle, and production unit have simultaneous effects on the implementation of organic vegetable farming SOP. The factors from the independent variables contribute 39.6%, while the rest is influenced by other factors. Based on the t-test, there is a significant influence for the role of the learning class and cooperation vehicle, while there is no influence for the production unit.

Abstract

Introduction: The Agricultural Machinery Service Business (UPJA) Ngupoyo Boga was the only UPJA in Bendosari District; however, it became inactive between 2020 and 2024 due to incompetent management. This study aimed to identify the factors that shaped farmers' interest and analyze their influence on the use of agricultural machinery services at UPJA Ngupoyo Boga. Methods: The research was conducted from December 2024 to January 2025 in Mulur Village. The method used was a survey with disproportionate stratified random sampling, involving 185 rice farmers. Primary data was obtained through interviews using open and closed questionnaires, while secondary data was taken from previous studies, including books, journals, and official data from relevant institutions. Data analysis was performed descriptively and using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 26. Results: The results showed that the factors influencing farmers' interest in Mulur Village regarding the use of agricultural machinery services included gender, age, education level, years of farming, and the size of land owned. The interest variable scored in the moderate category (77.60%), enjoyment in the high category (80.50%), and willingness in the high category (84.07%). The interest, enjoyment, and willingness variables had a significant effect on the use of agricultural machinery services, both simultaneously and partially. Conclusion: Recommendations for UPJA management included developing a routine maintenance schedule, encouraging cooperation among farmers, and suggesting that the government conduct surveys to understand farmers' agricultural machinery needs.

Abstract

Sharia banks have been developing in many countries since the evidence that the banks were more resistant to financial shocks. In Indonesia, Sharia banks have a good environment because majority of Indonesian people is Muslim. During recent years, Shariabanking inIndonesia shows a dramatic growth. This paper is to examine internal factors affecting customers’ decision to choose Sharia banking systemas a place of saving. Logit regression was used to estimate a model of customers’ decision. Cross-sectional data, consisting of101 Sharia customers and 110 conventional customers, were randomly drawn from database of a multinational bank that provides both Sharia and conventional schemes. The results show that age, gender and religion led to customers more likely to invest their money in Sharia scheme. In contrast, income, entrepreneur and student led to customers less likely to choose Sharia scheme as a place of investment. Highest positive impact came from religion, and highest negative impact came from student. Even though the majorityof Indonesian people are Muslim, the total possibility of people to select Sharia scheme was low.

Abstract

Chili production is an essential commodity in Indonesia, and the marketing issues frequently disrupt the economy. This paper aims to analyze the distribution channel of chili and formulate a suitable policy to overcome the marketing problems. A market survey was qualitatively conducted at a producer, intermediary, wholesaler, and retailer levels. The results were descriptively presented using tables and figures. The analysis shows that the marketing channel of chili in Indonesia was long and complicated. Many players were starting at the village level to the provincial level. Segmented markets were based on the types of chili, which were categorized as local and hybrid cultivars. Farmers selected the marketing channels because of business circumstance and their farm location. Distance and gentleman agreement with traders limited farmers to select the marketing channel. Thus, the government is strongly recommended to provide a unique vegetable market such as an agribusiness terminal close to the center of production. This action will shorten the marketing chain such that both producers and consumers gain the benefits. The role of the private sector will be crucial in order to keep healthy agribusiness.

Abstract

A small number of agricultural extension workers and the budget for extension activities could affect farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers in Taman District, Pemalang Regency. The research was conducted to analyze farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers in Taman District, Pemalang Regency, and analyze the influencing factors. This research was conducted in January – February 2023 in Taman District, Pemalang Regency. The research method used was a survey with a proportionate stratified random sampling of 108 farmers. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The type of data was primary data including data on farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension agents and their factors, the identity of farmers and the identity of extension agents, regarding extension activities carried out, as well as their functions and duties and secondary data includes regional conditions and statistics and farmer documents. The analytical method used was descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers in Taman District, Pemalang Regency, obtained an average score of 1919 with an index score of 76.00% which means it was categorized excellent. The variables of farmer activity, farmer age, farmer education level, length of farming, and land area simultaneously influenced farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension agents in Taman District, Pemalang Regency.While only partially farmer activeness variable that influenced farmers' perceptions of the performance of agricultural extension workers in Taman District, Pemalang Regency. Suggestions that can be conveyed were that the government needs to increase the number of agricultural extension workers and provide a budget to improve their performance so that farmers can increase their prosperity.
