Abstract

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life is recommended by WHO and UNICEF to ensure optimal infant growth and development. However, exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia, including Deli Serdang Regency, remains low. Several factors can hinder exclusive breastfeeding, including maternal knowledge, occupation, and the role of healthcare workers. Objective: To determine the factors inhibiting exclusive breastfeeding among mothers with infants at PMB Nurlela, Lubuk Pakam Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2024. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 30 mothers with infants aged 0–12 months who did not exclusively breastfeed. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using univariate analysis to describe the frequency distribution of each variable.Results: The majority of respondents were aged 20–35 years (53.3%), had a senior high school education (46.7%), and worked as housewives (43.4%). Most respondents had a moderate level of knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding (43.3%), rated the role of healthcare workers as good (83.3%), and did not exclusively breastfeed (66.7%). Statistical tests showed that maternal knowledge (p = 0.006), occupation (p = 0.003), and the role of healthcare workers (p = 0.006) were associated with exclusive breastfeeding practices.Conclusion: Maternal knowledge, occupation, and the role of healthcare workers are significant factors inhibiting exclusive breastfeeding at PMB Nurlela. Efforts to improve exclusive breastfeeding rates should focus on continuous education, workplace support for breastfeeding mothers, and optimizing the role of healthcare workers.

Abstract

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Deli Serdang Regency remains low, partly due to a lack of knowledge, limited time for working mothers, and the minimal role of health workers in providing education. Objective: To implement educational and mentoring activities for mothers with infants aged 0–12 months to increase their understanding and motivation for exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: The community service activity was conducted at the Nurlela Pre-Breastfeeding Center (PMB) in Lubuk Pakam District in May 2024. The target group was 30 mothers who were not exclusively breastfeeding. Implementation methods included counseling, interactive discussions, demonstrations of correct breastfeeding techniques, and individual counseling. Results: The activity received a positive response; there was a 53.3% increase in maternal knowledge (measured by pre- and post-tests). Some mothers who had previously been formula-feeding committed to exclusively breastfeeding their next baby. Conclusion: Education and mentoring at PMB effectively increased maternal knowledge and motivation for exclusive breastfeeding. It is recommended that these activities be conducted regularly and supported by local health workers.

Abstract

The rapid urbanization in Indonesia over the past two decades has brought complex governance challenges, particularly in managing smart city programs that require multi-stakeholder collaboration, technological innovation, and inclusive policy-making. While collaborative governance has been widely studied in global contexts, its application in Indonesia demands adaptation to local socio-cultural values such as mutual cooperation and deliberative consensus. This study aims to map and analyze the development of research on collaborative governance for smart city programs in Indonesia from 2010 to 2024, identifying knowledge structures, thematic trends, and collaboration networks. Employing a quantitative bibliometric approach, data were collected from the Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases using systematically designed search strings, screened through the PRISMA protocol, and analyzed with Bibliometrix and VOSviewer software. The findings indicate a steady growth in publications, with seminal works by Ansell & Gash (2008) and Nam & Pardo (2011) serving as key theoretical foundations. Research increasingly integrates governance theory with technology adoption and community engagement, supported by international collaborations involving countries such as the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. However, gaps remain in operationalizing collaborative governance at the local level and aligning national policies with municipal autonomy. This study concludes that advancing Indonesia’s smart city agenda requires governance frameworks that are both technologically forward looking and culturally grounded. The bibliometric insights provide a roadmap for policymakers, academics, and practitioners to design sustainable, inclusive, and context-sensitive urban governance strategies that bridge global innovations with local realities

Abstract

Demensia adalah hilangnya kemampuan mental yang disebabkan oleh gangguan otak yang mempengaruhi memori, daya pikir, perilaku dan penilaian. Penyebab paling umum dari demensia, terutama pada orang tua, adalah penyakit Alzheimer. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan sampai 70% kasus demensia. Urgensi Pengabdian ini adalah untuk peningkatan peran serta masyarakat dalam peningkatan Kesehatan di lingkungan masyarakat desa bangun rejo, dengan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif pada lansia. Tujuan Pengabdian ini untuk membantu Masyarakat para lansia agar di masa tua tidak mengalami demensia sehingga para lansia masih bisa berproduktifitas di masa tua nya dengan baik dan Bahagia tanpa kesulitan dalam mengingat semua pengetahuan-pengetahuan yang selama ini dia miliki khususnya para lansia di Desa Bangun Rejo ini. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam pelaksanaan edukasi deteksi dini demensia melalui brain gym ini dari 40 lansia yang mengikuti ada 27 lansia (67,5%) yang sudah memahami pentingnya mengetahui demensia pada usia yang sudah lanjut. Bagi lansia kagiatan senam otak ini bisa dikaukan secara mandiri dirumah agar manfaat dari senam otak ini dapat dirasakan langsung oleh para lansia. Bagi mitra pengabdian hendakanya didesa ini menjadikan senam otak atau brain gym sebagai kegiatan yang seminimal mungkin pelaksanaannya dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan Kesehatan para lansia.

Abstract

Tim Pendamping Keluarga (TPK) adalah tim yang terdiri dari kader dan tenaga kesehatan. Salah satu percepatan penurunan stunting saat ini adalah dengan pendekatan keluarga melalui TPK dan penerapan teknologi digital. Pemerintah menargetkan angka prevalensi tahun 2024 harus mencapai 14%. Saat ini prevalensi stunting di Indonesia mencapai 21,5%. Mitra Pengabdian yaitu Kelurahan Sunggal dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 75 ibu balita, dan berdasarkan hasil wawancara kepada kader di kelurahan sunggal didapatkan 3 anak yang mengalami stunting. Urgensi dalam pengabdian ini adalah pendekatan Tim Pendamping Keluarga dan Penerapan Teknologi SCATION (Stunting care Apllication) untuk mencegah stunting. Hasil Pengabdian yang dilaksanakan telah terbentuk tim pendampin keluarga sebanyak 2 kelompok dan peningkatan pengetahuan ibu dalam menggunakan aplikasi scation dari 75 ibu balita sudah mampu menggunakan sebanyak 72 orang (96%) dan kategori cukup sebanyak 3 orang (4%). Kesimpulan pelaksanaan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini adalah pentingnya pendekatan TPK dan penerapan teknologi SCATION (Stunting Care Apllication) yang merupakan prototype berbasis sistem yang dapat digunakan untuk deteksi dini kejadian stunting dan membantu orangtua dalam memantau tumbuh kembang anak, melalui aplikasi SCATION ibu akan diingatkan dengan sistem alarm setiap bulannya.

Abstract

This study evaluates the performance of the Pasaman Regency Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo) in implementing the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) and delivering public services, as mandated by national digital transformation agendas. In recent years, the Indonesian government has emphasized digital governance as a pathway to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public administration. Within this context, regional governments are expected to meet SPBE indicators as documented in annual performance reports such as LAKIP. The primary objective of this research is to assess how effectively Diskominfo Pasaman has implemented SPBE, identify enabling and inhibiting factors, and provide recommendations to strengthen regional digital governance. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method with a case study design, the research draws on document analysis of the 2023 LAKIP report, supported by related regulations and strategic planning documents. The analysis reveals significant progress, with SPBE implementation rising from 20% in 2022 to 50% in 2023, supported by consistent BB predicate ratings in SAKIP assessments and overachievement in program realization (102.12%). However, the study also identifies critical constraints, including limited ICT human resources, regulatory delays, and infrastructure disparities in remote areas. The findings suggest that while numerical indicators show advancement, structural and strategic reforms are needed for sustainable digital transformation. This research concludes that regional SPBE success depends not only on technological tools but also on institutional readiness, legal frameworks, and inclusive access—highlighting the importance of holistic governance in Indonesia’s digital reform efforts.

Abstract

Antenatal care is an activity of supervising pregnant women to prepare pregnant women as well as possible both physically and mentally, as well as saving mothers and babies during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. In South Nias District the coverage of Antenatal Visits 1 (K1) was 87.10% in 2019 and K4 was 73.32. At the Amandraya Health Center the coverage of K1 to K4 in 2021 has not reached the expected target of 95%. The aim of this study was to find out the factors associated with the irregularity of antenatal care visits at the Amandraya Health Center in South Nias Regency in 2022. This type of research is an analytic observational study using a cross sectional approach. The population was all pregnant women at the Amandraya Health Center in South Nias Regency, namely 217 people. The sample in this study were 73 people obtained through simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out to determine the distribution of frequencies and percentages of each variable to be studied which included: age, education, employment, parity, income and staff support. Data analysis was performed by statistical test using chi-square. There is a relationship between knowledge (p=0.001) and income (p=0.007), mothers and irregular antenatal care visits at the Amandraya Health Center in South Nias Regency in 2022. There is no relationship between mother's education, number of children and health workers and irregular antenatal care visits. It is suggested to the staff of the Amandraya Health Center in South Nias Regency to increase counseling activities so that pregnant women's knowledge about antenatal care increases and antenatal care visits can be carried out regularly from the 1st to the 3rd trimester.

Abstract

Wound care is part of nursing management. During Covid-19, the practice of wound care decreased under normal conditions. Nursing management knowledge is needed on how to practice wound care during COVID-19 to provide a wound healing process. This systematic review aims to identify wound care nursing care management during COVID-19. Article searched from PubMed; ProQuest; and EBSCO; selected based on the following inclusion criteria: study focus on nurses practicing chronic wound care during Covid-19, focused nursing management, case studies, articles published in the 2019-2021 range, full text, articles in English. In the final stage, 5 articles were found. The results of the study show that nursing care management uses telehealth and telemedicine services for wound care patients. The findings of this systematic review indicate that telehealth and telemedicine services can provide opportunities to improve wound care to patients.

Abstract

This research is designed in the form of School Action Research which is planned to be carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this study were teachers at Setia Kawan Kindergarten which consisted of 7 teachers. The implementation of this research begins with data collection using the observation format for the implementation of the discussion, the assessment of the learning scenario assessment instrument and the assessment of the learning implementation assessment instrument. Data collection techniques used observation and documentation techniques, while the data collection tools consisted of an observation format for the implementation of discussion activities in small groups, learning scenario assessment formats, and learning implementation assessment formats. The data analysis used is descriptive qualitative analysis by describing the qualitative data that has been collected at the initial observation stage and the observation stage of the implementation of the action. The results of the assessment that in the observation aspect the average score was 64.29 with less criteria, increased to 79.17 with sufficient criteria and 87.71 with good criteria in the last cycle. Thus, the implementation of research through Buzz group discussion activities is proven to be able to improve the ability of teachers at Setia Kawan Kindergarten in empowering the environment as a learning resource. Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research was to improve the teacher's ability in using educational game tools through visiting class. This research is a school action research with four main steps, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were teachers in 2 TK under the guidance of the city of Bandar Lampung, which consisted of 10 teachers. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation techniques. Data validation with triangulation technique. The method uses qualitative data analysis. The results of the research on the ability of teachers in the initial conditions reached an average number of 57.62 with less criteria and the first cycle increased to 68.33 in sufficient criteria and in the last cycle to 80.43 in very good criteria. Individually per teacher in the initial conditions nothing has been completed, increased to 5 teachers or 50% and in the last cycle to 10 teachers or 100% and the implementation of learning in the initial conditions reached an average number of 59.17 with less criteria and the first cycle increased to 69.44 in the sufficient criteria and in the last cycle to 83.75 in the very good criteria, and individually per teacher in the initial condition not yet completed, increasing to 3 teachers or 30% and in the last cycle to 10 teachers or 100%. The conclusion is that the implementation of supervision with the class visit technique has been proven to be able to improve the ability of teachers in the 2 TK assisted by Bandar Lampung City in Semester 2 of the 2021/2022 Academic Year in the use of educational game tools (APE).
