Abstract

Early and exclusive breastfeeding can help reduce infant mortality, which is still high in Indonesia. One of the reasons for the low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for infants under six months of age is the delay in the production of postpartum mother's milk in the first days after giving birth so that most babies receive formula milk. multimedia learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of multimedia video media on mother's knowledge about endorphin massage and breastfeeding smoothness. This research is a quasi-experimental research (one group pretest and posttest design). It was carried out between April and July 2021. The breastfeeding mothers in this study came from the Arjasa Health Center, Arjasa District, Situbondo Regency. Purposive sampling was used in sampling. The purpose of this study was to analyze the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers about endorphin massage through video learning multimedia of endorphin massage for smooth breastfeeding with the results that there was an effect before and after being given a video on knowledge of endorphin massage. Researchers suggest that health workers be more proactive in conducting media outreach activities with a family-centered approach.

Abstract

Technology advancements in the world of information have made it easier for many people to process data. Data mining is a process of mining more valuable information from large data sets. The research aims to determine the difference between the C.45 and random forest algorithms in data mining to predict the childbirth process of pregnant women. It compares the accuracy of the performance results of the C4.5 and random forest algorithms to predict the delivery process for pregnant women. Then, experimental research is conducted to classify the childbirth process in Situbondo, Indonesia, by applying the C.45 and the random forest algorithm in the data mining. The decision tree J48 algorithm is used for the C4.5 algorithm in the research. Both algorithms are compared for their error classification and accuracy level. The research uses 1,000 data for training and 200 data for testing. The results show the accuracy of implementing the C4.5 and random forest algorithms with data mining using 10-fold cross-validation, generating 96% and 95% as correctly classified data. Then, the Relative Absolute Error for both algorithms has the same result. It is 15%. The C4.5 algorithm has a better result than the random forest algorithm by comparing the performance results. Further research can add more data to improve the accuracy of the analysis results by using another algorithm.

Abstract

Working mothers can breastfeed directly while on maternity leave. After coming to work breastfeeding activities cannot be carried out immediately. However, working mothers continue to breastfeed in a different way while working. To continue to provide breast milk, mothers must express milk. Expressing breast milk can use hands directly with massage techniques and with the help of a breast pump. Working mothers are not free to breastfeed directly like mothers who live at home every day. Working mothers can breastfeed by giving expressed milk. Working mothers have to spend time between working hours to pump breast milk. The result is expressed breast milk that can be packaged and stored in such a way that it can be given to the baby. This activity was comprehensively discussed in the community service activities which were held on March 30, 2021 at the Faculty of Health Sciences Campus. Socialization activities started from registration, pre-test, counseling on breastfeeding, post-test and results recapitulation. Followed by pregnant and lactating women as many as 28 people. In this activity the midwives, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers were very enthusiastic as evidenced by the many questions that were included in the question-and-answer session because so far many mothers did not understand how to give. This community service is to produce an educational product in the form of a pocket book on how to express breast milk to breastfeeding mothers who work to increase the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers. In this community service, it was found that there was an increase in the knowledge of pregnant and lactating women by using the ASI pocket book media.

Abstract

Low milk production is one of the obstacles to exclusive breastfeeding. This community service activity will occur from December 2022 to February 2023. It starts from the time contract with the participants. It was collected in a place accessible to all participants. When the activity began, the pre-conference sheet was filled out first, followed by the presentation of the theory of oxytocin massage, questions and answers, and demonstrations. After that, it ends with filling out the post-conference sheet. Thirty-four breastfeeding mothers and 34 representatives of a family member (husband or mother's immediate family) participated in this activity. This community service activity has a significant effect on increasing breast milk production and prolactin levels. Therefore, oxytocin massage can be an alternative treatment for midwives, families, and other health workers to increase milk production during the puerperium.

Abstract

Maternal deaths reflect the risks faced by mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum were affected by maternal nutritional status, state of ill health during pregnancy, the incidence of various complications in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Moreover, the availability and use of healthcare facilities, including prenatal and obstetric services, were also very affecting. So it is necessary to minimize the occurrence of maternal deaths. The government had made various efforts to reduce maternal mortality, but the results were still not optimal yet. If maternal mortality could be prevented as early as possible with appropriate identification, it could significantly reduce maternal mortality. The research aims to analyze the cause of maternal death in Tasikmalaya city in 2015. The research design used a quantitative approach in the form of observation. The population was all maternal deaths in Tasikmalaya City Health department in 2015. The study's affordable population was all maternal mortality data with a precise address and recorded in the OVM as many as 20 cases of death. Factors associated with maternal mortality were the problem relating to patients, health professionals, health infrastructure, and referrals. Moreover recording and reporting of maternal mortality also influenced the determination of proper diagnosis to decrease the number of maternal mortality. Maternal mortality was a problem that has never finished with the complexity of the cause. It requires efforts that involve many parties, not only the health authorities alone, but all stakeholders were supported by government regulation. This study could be the basis for further research on maternal mortality and can be used to enhance the knowledge of researchers, health professionals, and stakeholders about the factors that cause maternal deaths. This study's results are expected to know the causes of maternal mortality and used as guidelines in making policy to reduce maternal mortality. Keywords: Maternal mortality, related factors
