Abstract

Babakan Lake is an icon of the Betawi village which was inaugurated by the DKI Jakarta government as a cultural tourist attraction in Jakarta. Betawi arts and culture are increasingly lost by the progress of time. Therefore, the importance of this research is to look at how community participation around villages in promoting Betawi culture in the context of 4A (amenities, accessibility, attractions, institutions). Data collection techniques used in this study were unstructured interviews, observation and documentation. Determination of informants using purposive sampling, data analysis using qualitative. The implementation of tourism activities in Betawi village in the form of facilities, accessibility and institution has fulfilled the criteria as a tourist attraction. Like the Lake Babakan attraction as an icon of the Betawi village. Then also the facilities provided by the government to preserve and advance Betawi villages such as zones that are divided into areas and are motivated by different concepts of each zone. Furthermore, access to the tourist attraction of Lake Babakan has fulfilled the assessment and determination as a tourist area both from the road and the direction of the guide to the location of government and citizens institutions formed by local customary stakeholders. The result of the participation of citizens in tourism activities towards the existence of the Betawi village is that citizens have a role in advancing Betawi art. Suggestions for tourism stakeholders such as government, private sector and citizens in advancing, developing and also preserving the Betawi village is to maintain the existence of the village in the midst of the current development. Such as promoting the existence of a Betawi village to Jakarta residents (millennial, companies, foreign representatives in Jakarta). Keywords: Betawi Cultural Village, Tourism Practices, Existence

Abstract

Sade is one of tourism villages located in Sub-district of Pujut, Central Lombok Regency. The development of the tourism village in Sade has given many impacts such as socio-cultural impact. The community of Sasak Tribe in Sade depends on globalization. It caused the intensive communication between Sade’s community with tourist and people around. The community can not decline the tourism development which offer many economically advantages. The method of this research using qualitative approach. This research uses both qualitative and quantitative data which collect by observation, interview and documentation. The informant chosen by procedure purposive method. In this report data will display by description and table. The parameter of this research is limited by concept socio-cultural impact, culture and tourism village. The results of this research shows the socio-cultural condition of Sade’s community before becoming as a tourism village is stable. They have being impacted mundane in agriculture sector and local organization. Local language is used in their daily life. However, after being a torism village there is complexity livelihood transformation from agricultural to tourism sector. Some new organizations appear such us Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) and the local manager of Sade Tourism Village. The other impact is the community use foreign languages to communicate with tourist. However, the changes that have taken place shows that Sade’s culture is not weak. Despite the changes but their culture and the local ethnic identity is not affected by tourism activities. Keywords : socio-cultural impact, tourism development, tourism village

Abstract

Abstract This research located at Yayasan Sari Hati, Ubud that focus on voluntourism experience for the voluntourist and the local community. Voluntourism is a type of alternative tourism that can bring an unique and different experience not only for the voluntourist but also for the local community. Voluntourism experience considered as a cathartic experience that can make a positive difference for the voluntourist. The aim of this paper is to know the voluntourism experience that gained by the voluntourist and the local community also how that experience can make a difference for the voluntourist itself. Through participant observation, researcher participate actively in the voluntourism activity at Yayasan Sari Hati. Data also collected by literature review and indepth interview with two voluntourists and four local communities for then analyzed by qualitative technique. This paper reviews voluntourism experience for the voluntourist and the local community also the experience that make difference for the voluntourist. This paper concluded that voluntourism experience is a form of cathartic experience through tourism which is not only can bring a valuable knowledge for the voluntourist but also can change their personality and lifestyle.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the working Program of the tourist village and the extent of implementation, in the Mas village. This research was conducted in the Mas village with method survey. Data collection is done by conducting in-depth interviews and observations to the speaker. Method of sampling is random with interviewees interviewed related parties among others, Kasie extension and human resources development in the Tourism Office of Gianyar Regency, the head of the Mas village, Chairman of the Group aware of tours (Pokdarwis), and the perpetrators of the tourism. The data collected showed that the work programme of the group is aware that includes 4 programs: resources, environmental conservation, art preservation, custom and culture, Marketing and Promotionwhile the implementation of the work programme of the Group aware of the tour has been running pretty good one is the development of a Tarukan tourist village by empowering local communities so as to give a positive impact for the people's welfare. However in its development of consistency management of tourist village that is a conscious Group tours (Pokdarwis) begin to experience barriers due to resources, communications, Disposition/Implementers and workflow in the internal Group Aware that must be addressed in order for programs that have already been created can be done on an ongoing basis. Abstract

This field research aims to determine the type of language used by merchant as well their interaction while offering their wares to international tourist. This field research is interesting because, people do not know what kind of language that is often used by merchant when interacting with international tourist while selling their wares. Even with the limitation of language, this phenomenon does not prevent merchant to communicate with international tourist. The data is analyzed qualitatively. It is collected by structured observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation study. Whereas, the informants and samples are determined by using Purposive Sampling technique, which was to determine the sample with a certain consideration, which considered to be able to provide the data to the maximum in accordance with the criteria of the research objectives. The results of the field research states that the type of language used by the merchant in the tourist area of Kuta Beach was pidgin language, because it did not have a native speaker criterion. Pidgin language is a language that does not have native speakers as well as just a means of communication between people - those who do not understand each other. It was seen the merchant on Kuta Beach came from various regions in Indonesia, such as Sumatra, Java, and Bali. It was considered they had been taught since birth with each regional language (mother tongue), not the language that now they use to interact with international tourist. Meanwhile, when the process of interaction between merchant who are offering their wares to international tourist, it was aided with the help of body gestures. This behavior or symbol was being used in the process of interaction between merchant and international tourist, so that them would understand the purpose of the merchant.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the motivation of female tourist to visit Gay club, the perception of the tourist and local community towards the Gay Club. The methods used in this research id descriptive qualitative. The technique of determination of informants used is purposive sampling technique. Data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. Primary data in this research is sourced from direct observation to the research location by means of observation and interviews. While secondary data in this research are the data obtained from the documentation or studies library to complement the primary data. The result of the research shows that most tourist say curious to see Gay club as a motivation for a visit; most tourist plead happy after seeing the atrractions there; most neutral against Gay tourist; most local community already know about Gay club; most local community are not disturbed; most local people are not benefitting from the presence of the Gay club. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is about The Meaning of Availability Trans Sarbagita on Denpasar-GWK’s Track for Bali’s Tourism. The purpose of this study was to determine the availability of public transportation issued by the government , namely trans Sarbagita in serving the local community in performing its activities and also traveled to minimize the level of congestion is becoming a major problem especially in Bali Denpasar path - pedestal which is the main route across Bali tourism . In this study data using for translation of information about the problem under study, information obtained from the Head of the Department of Transportation Sarbagita part of Denpasar. Information obtained through observation, questionnaires, interviews and in-depth study of literature. The technique used is the determination of the informant to informant while Purpose Sampling for determination of respondents conducted by meode quota sampling. The method used in this research is the method of analysis is descriptive and qualitative analysis method that is reinforced by the results of an open questionnaire, observation, and interviews that can support this conclusion panelitian. Based on the results, the following results; traffic jams that occur in Bali due to lack of public transport services, people prefer to use private transport. Trans Sarbagita presence that aims to serve the community and reduce congestion, the impact on sustainability and tourism activities in Bali.

Abstract

The research aims to find out tourism potential and what strategy for involving young generation in managing tourism at the village of Tenganan Pegringsingan. The research was located at the village of Tenganan Pegringsingan. The scope of research was reinterpretation, Think Global and Act Locally, institutionalization, and institutional, type of data being used was qualitative data, source of data being used was primary and secondary data. Data sampling method being used was observation, interview and documentation study. Informant determination in this qualitative study was using Purposive Sampling. Data analysis being used was descriptive qualitative. The first to be done was conducting observation to social phenomenon, and then conducting categorization toward obtained information, next was explaining categorization, and then explaining the relation of categorization and drew general conclusions. Based on the result obtained, natural potential possessed by the village of Tenganan consists of vast rice fields, suitable to be used as trekking path across rice fields, and green forest which has been managed as ecotourism and existing trekking path. Existing cultural potential among others was, such as “Nyakan Suci, Neduh, Mekare-kare, Muhu-muhu, Mesanggah Gedebong, Mesanggah Bongkot, Munjung, Metruna Nyoman, Maling-malingan” and other traditions. This cultural potential becomes the attraction for tourists to visit the village of Tenganan. The strategy for involving young generation which including role reinterpretation attempted through internal and external of young generation. Next the slogan of Think Global and Act Locally, through global thinking and acting locally, and institutionalization covering tourism spirit of young generation, spirit to mastering internet in developing tourism network and spirit to carry forward the tradition of the ancestors. Next is institutional which including the strengthening of organization based on culture namely Sekaha Truna and Deha. The extension of Sekeha Truna Truni based on the necessity, based on Tourism Management such as Sekaha Truna and Truni. So, the role of young generation in tourism management is very important for regeneration of tourism management at the village of Tenganan in the future. Abstract

West Manggarai Regency is one of the super priority tourism destinations development program from Central Government Republic of Indonesia. West Manggarai Regency is part of the East Nusa Tenggara Province with tourism potential namely natural, beach and cultural potential. Tourism development of tourism in West Manggarai provides positive expectations for the welfare of the local community. The existing condition of West Manggarai shows that tourism policy has not brought changes to the economic value of West Manggarai Regency. The purpose of this study is to align policy plans with the implementation of tourism development policies in West Manggrai Regency. This type of research is qualitative research, data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Determination of informants in this study using a purposive sampling technique. Analysis of the data used is qualitative descriptive. The results of the analysis of tourism development policies in West Manggarai, are inseparable from the four tourism pillars contained in the regional tourism development master plan (RIPPARDA) of West Manggarai Regency, namely the development of tourism destinations, the development of the tourism industry, the development of tourism marketing, and the development of tourism institutions. The implementation of policies in accordance with the directions of the RIPPARDA has not been maximally implemented in the tourism sector. Communities pursue changes in welfare through economic value, but all require time and process so that tourism planning and development can be felt by local people. Abstract

ABSTRACT Unit Pelaksana Teknis Dinas (UPTD) Subak Museum is a museum of agricultural equipment storages, it is located in Tabanan regency. The existence of this museum it is important to remember at this time of our generation are less concerned with the existence of paddy which is the spearhead of human life at the same time has become a culture that is ingrained. It is important to preserve Subak Museum for information and education as well as of course to save a variety of objects related of subak. That assumption is underlying me to choose this topic for research. The topic is "Conservation of Unit Pelaksana Teknis Dinas (UPTD) Subak Museum as Cultural Travel Attractions in Tabanan". The type of data and resources of data used the qualitative data, primary data and secondary data. Collecting data organize by observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study, and research instruments used interview guides. Furthermore the data which was collected will be descriptively by analysis of qualitative data. The analysis of qualitative data it is clearly easy to explain the result and answer the problems that we want to find. Conservation of Subak Museum as Cultural Travel Attractions in this study contains of two definition such as the static and dynamic, but in this research I talk over about the dynamic point. In a dynamic sense such as the creativity how to maintenance, protection but not to change the existing value and reflected through the management, activities and human resources information.
